Very friendly staff. Super helpful! The store was very clean and well organized with tons of selections of everything from makeup to wigs to jewelry and clothes. Lots of sales too. Ill definitely be back!

I had a really good time here. There were most of the things I was looking for, and the staff were kind. things were organized properly, so it was easy to find. the owner looked sincere. it is often open earlier than the morning opening time.

Ive been going to Uptown Beauty Supply for over two decades. I drive over 40 minutes for their well-stocked items and amazing reliable customer service. Theyve only gotten better with time.

I dont know a lot about beauty supply, but this location is pretty big. Moch of it caters Afro-centric hair. Theres a wide variety of products for curly hair, and a modest amount for nails and makeup.

I made a purchase here but the product was too small. I purchased 4 head covers( in the pack )and ask can I make a return the lady whos a owner said no return on those then once I was defended by another worker she said ok you need receipt. Went with receipt then she lied and said you open you open again another owner said Maam go exchangeYou not open, I know! The Greed and Lies smh) She served me 10 years and try repeatedly to refuse a $5 product by lying. So. me not go back:)

Horrible customer service!Went to purchase my first wig. Every isle I walked down someone was following me. I thought she wanted to help, so I showed her a picture of the style I was looking for and that a friend had purchased it from there.The older lady, white hair told me that they move the wigs around so people can walk around and may see something else they want also. So..... She didnt try helping me. She just stood there and finally said they were sold out. ?????? How do you know? You havent looked. Youve been following me!Found a wig I liked, paid for the cap, (guess who was standing behind me when I tried it on?) SmhI asked for a different color. She took the wig off my head and to the back with her!I was fed up with the treatment and left.Nice place, plenty of options for hair needs. Some things over priced. Didnt have a clue what a bob style is.STAFF NEEDS TRAINING.Making people feel uncomfortable while trying to shop only gets you less business, not more.May try again next year!

They had a big variety of many of products and also the way they organize the store is the best that I have experienced yet....now we now the best is behind the counter...as you go in, to the right is a wig corner and they are spread out to point it makes start looking around the store.....then you see the different things that make the store looks expensive...i went in there so many times but not since 2017....boy I take my hats off to you guys...a large selection of varies items...and the people are friendly....wasnt helpful enough so I could make up my mind....every store needs a hair assistance....that been through the levels if living....they have tried every type of hair....ranging from 1.99 to 500.00....and know quality not quantity.....everything is neat and the your view is different from every angles...blessings

I have always like going to this place. I understand businesses has rules, Knowing your customers is the key. I went into the store I bought 14kt earings. The first day the clamp broke . I asked the lady who checked me out if I could do a exchange, and she simply acted as if the stuff I had didnt come from her store, nor did she check. She was the one who put it in a plastic bag. She stated I had to have a receipt . I wasnt expecting them to brake, so I didnt have my receipt . I normally do, she kept saying its out store policy. I always buy all of my hair products, from jewelry there. I will not be returning to this store. She was more into thinking I was telling a story verses being honest. Sticking by rules instead of listening to customers and building relationships is the key to a better company.

The older lady that works register is really helpful and patient. I appreciated her help.

I have been shopping with Uptown since they were in a smaller building. As a loyal customer I dont feel like I matter. Also, I feel like they need more people that know about hair weaves to work there. Most of the people that work there dont wear hair weaves, but other than that its okay.

Stop following people....theres nothing in here I cant afford....so if you continue to ask me do I need help Im going to continue to put you to work until you get the fact that Im not stealing anything...all black ppl dont steal...if thats the case and you feel some kind of way...Why build your establishment in a urban areas where weblacks shop. You being of Asian descent know nothing about black hair. And kills me to continue to support your businesses and if I could I would shop somewhere else....but because there is lack of black owned hair stores and businesses I guess weblacks dont have a choice. Bottom line is customer courtesy as a line and youve step out of it. Dont try me!

Pretty frustrating getting followed around the store when I am a regular paying customer. I really don’t need to steal synthetic hair. Don’t think customers don’t notice when you’re treating them like criminals. And I agree with the other reviews that they are unnecessarily overpriced anyway. I just liked coming here because it was on the way. Not after today. There’s only about 20 other beauty supplies in the area.

Great selection. Friendly staff. Owners have rushed me out twice. For example 9pm is closing time but 8:30pm I am being rushed to cash out. So I think the female owner is pretty rude. I dont really like going there.

Dont come here 45 minutes till close... or at all! Im generally a kind, respectful human with a happy disposition and one of the staff members just refused to help me after I asked her about hair in stock. She had no willingness to help so it took me longer to find the look I wanted. By the time I did, it was 15 minutes till close so when I asked her could she get the hair from behind the counter she ignored me with the most grandiose attitude then told me they were closing. It got UGLY after that! I will not be returning... to protect everyones safety 🤗

PRICES are HIGH!! Staff rude! Noone says hi to seemingly EVERY customer to enters. But instead walks around. I visited this store made a purchase and wasnt thanked and the Little Lady (older) waited by the door. Dont know what that was about.I DO KNOW; I WONT be returning.

They had a buy 1 get 1 sale on wigs which is what brought me to their location. The store employee that helped me was nice but the two owners/ managers ( a man and a woman with glasses) were really rude. First the lady with the glasses lied about the sale and then as Im trying to get help from the store employee she tells her to leave me to come do something else. The whole time it felt like I was being followed or closely watched. As Im about to check out I needed some help so I try to find the girl and again the rude lady with the glasses tells me to hurry up and buy because they are closing( it was 8:20 and the store closes at 9:00)! I told the lady how rude she was and she walked away and told me to leave!! Will never shop there again and I suggest other people do the same as well. You dont treat your customers like that!

Getting flaky with the hours. Changed them, but instead of sticking to that, they turn ppl away (with the big open sign on) 20 mins before the recorded close time. Close at 8:30 doesnt mean you cant come in at 8:10; otherwise, close at 8:10. Dont be flaky & trifling with that. Its unnecessary, unreliable waste peoples time & effort, & is a good way to loose customers.

I really like this beauty supply store! Ive been here only twice. In comparison to two stores in the area, this store has the largest variety of black hair products. The staff really know the products they sell. Even the older Asian man. The first time I came, I asked him whether they have more in stock of a particular brand of crochet twists (Loop twist, $7.99/pk) and he said all that is out (not much) is all that is available. I asked him about another brand (Outre X-pression, $7.99/pk) after talking with a lady who mentioned her niece is currently wearing them after a month and its holding well. His response was the hair is good quality. Lo and behold, he was right. I am currently wearing 6 packs of the 24 Outre X-pression Senegalese twists (2 colors) and it still looks neat. It has been 1.5 months since they were installed. I would also like to mention that the staff are friendly and polite. Great customer service! When I first went there, the Asian man gave me freebies for returning back because initially I didnt see what I wanted so I drove around the area then came back. When I walked into the store today, a female greeted me. She also answered all my questions. I highly recommend this store. They sell several hair accessories, variety of crochet braid brands, a large variety of wigs, large variety of weave brands (human and synthetic), jewelry, etc. Its a huge store.

I came here with my older cousin and my two younger cousins to get hair and wigs since she had been there several times. Im right along with some of the other reviews. We kept getting followed around like we were thieves but they kept trying to phrase it as do we need help even though we refused several times. I necessarily dont be coming as much there are some things that they need to change though.
