This is the best shop I’ve ever been to in Houston. And I’ve been to most of the mechanics around the city. From the first moment I walked in with my check engine light on, I was treated with urgency, respect, and most importantly kindness. Every single person at this shop has extensive knowledge about what they are doing and it shows. Every issue and it’s fix was explained to me in detail, and I was kept informed of every step taken. I couldn’t be happier with the service I received here. This is the only shop I’ll every bring my car to now.

I was promised the work to be done for a certain price, but when I came in person was charged a different price. The job was done correctly, but the dishonesty about price is why I give them such a poor review.

I just moved to Houston, I was searching for a mechanic shop. A friend of mine recommended this shop to me Highway 6 Car Care. I checked their review and sow two bad reviews about this shop so I hesitated to go their and asked my friend about his experience. He strongly advised me to go their and see myself. When I went their, I really found very nice and professional people that treated me like a king. They dealt with my Van problem like a doctor treating a patient. Their prices are very competitive to other mechanics, and best of all they guarantee their work. I thanked my friend who referred me to this shop so much, because now a days, its very difficult to find an honest mechanic that you can trust.

I actually had a great experience there i got first class service. They fixed. The problem right. The first time. At a great price and they also have cars for sale too going to buy one for my daughter. Id to think to whole hwy 6 crew for such a great job.

Great Experience here, Ive been using Hwy 6 car Care for years also the company I work for uses them for there dealer and Fleet Services. No Complaints, the Manager here always very nice, tells you exactly what the issue is with your car, offers several different solutions at decent prices compared to where I use to go. Took my car to Firestone auto repair they tried to rip me off told me my car needed a new engine or engine over haul would have cost me about $1500 or more, decide to use hwy 6 car care to see what they would say didnt tell them about Firestone, come to find out my engine was good he said I needed 2 senors that were not working, a few engine coils and and spark plugs. total cost about $350 I decided to do it, glad I did its been about 6 months and my car is just right. Just wanted to show my appreciation for their good work and leave a review.

Had an emergency with my car today. Alternator went out on the way to work. The were helpful, considerate, and quick. I will be coming back!!

I wish I can give this place 0 stars . I bought a car from them and I wish I didn’t . the next day it made noises I haven’t had my car in a full 3 weeks in my car is already broke down . I asked for my money back and the guy told me I couldn’t . By that time I haven’t had my car a full 2 weeks . The guy lied and said it was brakes I got tricked out of 100$ .I will never recommend anyone to go there. This why people don’t go to mechanics because they are money hungry and will tell u anything for a buck . PLEASE DONT GO HERE OR PURCHASE a car from here .

These people will scam you. Do not go to this place for buying or fixing a car! I bought a car there just a few weeks ago, the car had a salvage title even though they claimed it had a blue title. The car drove fine though so I wasn’t too worried about that. A few days after purchasing the car, they called me to go pick up my plates. When I got there, they offered to put the plates on for me. I said yes because I didnt have a screwdriver to put them on myself, so I thought it was nice of them to save me that trouble. DO NOT LET THEM PUT ON YOUR PLATES, THAT IS WHAT THEY DO TO SCAM PEOPLE. They took in my car and I waited outside about 10-15 minutes. I was getting a little suspicious because there’s no reason why they should take the car in just to put on the plates. Puting on the plates should only take about 5 minutes the most. Well, when he finally came out with my car, I started the car and immediately felt that something was wrong. I began to drive away, but the car felt completely different, it would shake on a stop and the engine preformed really poorly. I went back to tell the man, and he got in my car to check what I was talking about. The car was clearly shaking horribly but he claimed that he didn’t feel anything different. He also said he didn’t do anything to the car, even though I didn’t ask that. Anyway long story short, it turns out that he replaced one of my coil packs for a broken one and that’s why my car was preforming so poorly right after he gave it back to me. I’m sure this man wanted me to take my car to get fixed with him so he could overcharge me with the job. Changing a coil pack is simple, but the part still cost me $85. I’m supper annoyed at the fact that he purposely tired to mess up my car. If you drive with a broken coil pack you run the risk of damaging your engine.

Dont trust them!! I went in to look at a 97 Jeep Cheroke today. Saw the ad on craigslist saying it needed nothing but for someone to pay for it, start it up and drive away. While on my test drive I took it to a friend that owns another Mechanic Shop (Logans on Richmond) and Billy let me know the car needed new tires, rotors, brakes, the exhaust was messed up, oil was leaking, it needed new spark plugs and the water pump was also broken..oh and the timing belt was cracked too-. Basically the car needed about 3-4k worth of work done. The worst of it was that Hwy 6 Care care apparently took out all of the bulbs on the dash so anyone who test drove the vehicle couldnt see if anything was wrong.. and also in the future if the care needed care theyd be oblivious to that as well. When I called about the car and asked if any work needed to be done I was told no and the price was so low because it had a lot of miles, yet when I returned and my friend said it needed a lot of work then they said thats why the price was so low.... Be VERY careful of this place!! They clearly have no integrity or an honest bone in their bodies!
