It is very sad that Sears has just about gone out of business. However, after my experience with their customer service, I understand why. As a property manager, I have to buy appliances for many rentals. The original Sears in Ala Moana was my go to place. My salesperson, Sharon, was the easiest to work with and I would be in and out in 5 minutes as she knew what I needed and how to deliver it.Fast forward to the original Sears closure and Sharon retired instead of wait for a new store to open. In Sears absence, I bought my appliances from Lowes or Home Depot, and was pleasantly surprised with free delivery and haul away! On occasion, I still buy appliances from Sears, but this last purchase has really soured me on Sears.Purchase - 10/2Delivery- 10/7Repair - 10/11, 10/13Request for exchange - 10/16Scheduled delivery dates - 10/21, 10/28, 11/2, then 11/20This was totally unacceptable as I spoke to customer service at least 16 times regarding this issue. Several times I was on the phone for over 30 minutes! The last straw was a call on Saturday 10/30 that Sears needed to change the delivery to 11/20. I told the customer service rep that was an unacceptable answer as the store personnel had the exact model in stock locally on 10/16, but I needed to speak to mainland customer service. There was no sympathy for my tenant that had lived the entire month without a properly working new fridge. Fed up with Sears inaction and apologies, I bought another fridge from Lowes on 10/30, and it was delivered 11/1. My tenant stayed home from work to wait for the fridge delivery each and every time Sears was supposed to deliver. They lost a lot of money from not going to work, and Sears NEVER called the night before, so I had to call the day of delivery only to find out there is no delivery.Never again! The local store staff tried, but their hands are tied as everything is done through the mainland. BTW, I got better service on the phone when the call center was in India or the Philippines, than the mainland USA.
I was very impressed with the customer service I received from two of the sales associates! First Ashley took my call regarding a chest freezer and was very helpful and knowledgeable about the product. She arranged for Alan D. to call me to make a phone order purchase which did occur. It was very easy and convenient for me and I was able to pick up the freezer the next day. Later I went to another Sears store and saw the same freezer at a lower price. I called Alan and he made a price adjustment over the phone and emailed me the receipt. Wow! In these challenging times, it was amazing to receive excellent service from Ashley and Alan D. I will definitely go back for more purchases and recommend Sears!
Horrible! Taking me over 3 months to replace the broken fridge under warranty and still no luck! they are clueless!!
Extremely poor service. DONT SHOP HERE, D9NT WASTE YOUR GAS DRIVING HERE.There was a queue lined area to get in, you wait for an associate to allow you in, who asks what you are there for (uh duh, I didnt come to shop for groceries). He lets you in and that is it. An sales associate will NOT come up to you to ask if you need help. You would think that the sales person who let you in assign someone to help you.I roamed around for 7 minutes, I finally asked if I need to pull a number. That is when a sales clerk asked what I needed help with. ??? I was already asked that when I arrived, by a guy with a unique walking gait.I asked what the sale discounts that are on specific items and was told that it depends on which one you want. I told him my preferences, he directed me to 1 choice and walked away. I caught up to him and said that I didnt like that one and told him never mind, I will shop somewhere else.
One of the few old school stores left. Great people work there.
They dont answer their phones. So if you need help or have questions youre stuck.
I purchased a refrigerator in December and still have not gotten it. Also no once answers my call to explain what is going on. hELP! BEWARE!
Was nice. Had a variety selection. Wasnt crowded but they were maintaining social distancing.
Website says Saturday hours 9am to 6pm. Was there at 930 to pick up an appliance I ordered. Store closed. Sign on door says 9am on Saturday.Went to do other errands and called at 1030 am. Man on the phone says we open at 10 am on weekends. I said oh ok but the sign says 9am on your door then he hung up! Such service and professionalism!
Prince Kuhio Hilo Hawaii Sears is going out of business. Not much selection. Very expensive memory foams on display. Keep eyes peeled for prices to go lower
Wendell is the Man!!! Great deal on a washing machine!!!
Good place to get appliances. Helpful staff and great service.
Stay away....employees try to ignore you....poor service spend your money with someone else who will appreciate your business
WORST COVID RESPONSE OPERATION! Look into your stores operation!! They let TWO people into their huge store at a time and make everyone else congregate into a small area while they wait 30+ minutes for the people to make a purchase! Waited an HOUR without ANY help from any staff!!!! Not even a check in! We just left and so did 2 other families so this store lost at least $2000 in sales. We even saw someone browsing leave and no one else was let back in after 20+ minutes! I can’t believe the process. Just ridiculous. CDC guidelines clearly state sq ft capacities. I couldn’t get a staffs attention, I even called while in line just to try to get help and just heard the phone ring and ring. What a waste of my day. Going around the corner to another mattress place with NO ridiculous process like this.
So i ordered a portable ac unit online for a in store pickup and when i got there the order was never processed. So i talked to the two guys at front desk. They were older and said i placed an online order to be picked up in the store. After 20min of asking me what a online order is and to cancel that and just buy one in store and asking when it will be delivered here i finally found two guys that knew what technology is and they helped me very quickly and got me outta there.
Was terrific da customer service. I knew what i needed fo mah hale so went dea braddah been help me, e kala mai I nevah grab his name, but i was in and out in about 10 mins. I dont understand Sears or appliances but its there and you can buy things for your house
Its only good for kitchen appliances and beds, very good parts section, no clothing or anything else.
They attempted to deliver FOUR times and the washer was damaged FOUR times.NOBODY CARES, Is amazing they are still in business.Go to Home Depot or anywhere else.I have to say that Mike the sales person at the store was really nice.
Bought new Kenmore range, after less than 2 weeks it was found that 2 coil burners did not fully heat up. Called Sears took me 10 minutes to get a person. Talked to service person who spent his time trying to convince me to replace the coils myself. He would not send out a technician to service. Finally frustrated I agreed to have them send parts for me to replace the coils. Being as the unit was only 2 weeks old I would think Sears would have sent out a technician. Spent 33 minutes on the phone with Sears service. This is really poor service. Makes me reconsider whether I would purchase any appliance from them again. I had recently also purchased a refrigerator & clothes dryer.Followup: After 8 days they only sent one 6 element, I had to call Sears and after a 35 minutes waiting for agent I told her they did not send 8 element, she confirmed it was never placed by the tech. Now I will have to wait another 8 days for the other element to be shipped.
Went in to check on mattresses and washer dryer combos. Was helped not too long after browsing with a super friendly, patient and knowledgeable girl (sorry, forgot her name). Because of all her help and explaining all the differences I ended up buying a mattresses that night, plus it was 60% off and a great price. Will be going back for my other appliance needs.
Nobody calls to inform you of your delivery time and I have called the store over 6 times and nobody answers the phone!
Pick up dock was smooth.
Purchase a Double door Refrigerator. Fast, friendly and convenient. Excellent service in store and delivery.
Ignored by sales associates, not an issue we just wanted to quickly browse but still pretty much ignored
Sears maybe gone but their alliance department is still here. There carry many brands including Kenmore which is not carried by anyone else. With looking into if you need appliance.
I call in advance to give the salesperson, Glen Au notice that I am looking for a certain appliance and will be in to view the features available in different models before my purchase.
Helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive staff that will answer all your questions and show you what you can choose from in their large showroom. Delivery and financing are available.
Drove around for thirty minutes trying to find parking. Unsuccessful. Drove away.
Horrible service. Went several times and no one helped me. Only one or two on staff at a time and when you do get help, they are not trained in their product knowledge.
Its fun! Very hard to find just wanted to pay my Sears Bill. Too bad the regular Store had closed there and Windward Mall.
My family bought a white French-door refrigerator on grand opening day. We are very happy with it.
Ordered refrigerator online, and picking it up only took 5mins when it was ready.
Just like the appliance department in an old, complete Sears.
Pricey but so far they are the only place i found locally to have what Im looking for. staff are friendly too.
Took 4 calls to finally speak to a human. The human was not nice. Customer service failure and lost sale.
The worst service been onnphone and computer for 3 hours no help cant believe this
The new normal means that you cant browse independently. Make allowance for the wait time. Limit of two households at a time.
Went to check out beds. Didnt find one one in my price range was looking for automated up and down they had some really nice ones.
Its a very nice place
Great location, and a great inventory
Great selection, good pricing.
Most unprofessional, careless and ignorant sales representative.
For most of your appliance and kitchen goods!
Good selection of appliances
It is a good place to stop by and use it often. Every Tuesday is a senior discount, so I use it well.
