Came back THREE days( weekdays and weekend)in an attempt to get pricing for custom window treatments. First day waited over 45min then left. Second day while waiting for over an half an hour I asked a staff member for help. She gave me wrong information. Third day waited almost another 45 min. Most of the help desk and computers were vacant. Finally asked for a supervisor. Come to find out I only had to give my name, phone and email. Something anyone couldve taken down and passed on. She stated they were VERY short staffed, 2 people were on military leave and nobody wants to work! In this department staff walked passed people WITHOUT asking anyone of us if we needed help or at least tell us this is the only person and youre going to have to wait..I get that they are short staffed but a basic acknowledgement of Im sorry Ill get to you when I can would go a long way. Bryan was the only saving grace in this whole thing. Very friendly and tried to assist as best as he could. Also check out staff very courteous. Think twice about going for custom services.

I would not recommend this place for senior citizens.Recently, I came here with my father who is 88 to help him buy some things. He wanted to use his veterans discount. I didnt know it at the time but he also had some kind of $20 off coupon. The lady who was working the self check out registers scanned her code for the veterans discount and did her thing with the coupon. I saw that the discount was meager and asked her what the paper he handed her was. She told me, and to be polite about it, I asked her if she had used it for our transaction. She said she did, and I pointed out that I didnt see it on our receipt. She tried to convince me that the 10% veterans discount was the $20 off, then she tried to convince me that the discount was split up and taken off each item. Youre kidding me, right? Good thing I insisted, because she was wrong. She very begrudgingly (no exaggeration) re-scanned everything and we saw that she was not able to use both the veterans discount and the coupon, so we got our coupon back.TLDR, the lady almost ripped off my 88 year old dad out of his $20 coupon, seemingly on purpose. Good thing I was there, because he almost walked away.Oh yeah, and pretty BS you dont allow veterans to use their discount with the coupon. Do they stop being veterans when holding your coupon? Ridiculous.

Although recent times have been hard on everyone, employees remain resilient and cool under pressure. Some days are better than others, however, customers and employees alike, will go through such days, whether good or bad. Aloha!

Parking is a nightmare! Staff is helpful as long as it’s a simple straight forward question. Don’t trust the website stock numbers. Don’t trust the person that said the system says zero in stock system is not always updated. If you see a item that not in the shelf look up and check the sque number chances are it’s three or four feet above you and you’ll have to point it out to them.

Worst experience with their phone customer service. No one was trying to help me with a simple thing. They just kept connecting me to the wrong departments till I gave up. They were Rude and just wanted me to hang up.

Fairly good home depot selection is good, checkout is normally fairly fast. Parking is a pain here so i tend to go to the lowes thats near by.

Alwakawa location. Really nowhere else to go for the big stuff. I do like making the quicker stop to the neighborhood City Mill or Ace Hardware, but for the big bang bargains, theyre really it. Lowes really is a step behind.Always a little crowded but be patient. Parking always opens up. Went for a couple 1.5 cubic bags of garden soil, all under $20. Asking questions and checkout is always pretty informative and fast too

I dont like going to Home Depot because the traffic in that area is always heavy and slow. However, Home Depot itself is great. Easy to get in and out of, usually lots of employees around to help you find things, and a big selection of items.

I have always found everything I needed for whatever job I was working on at Home Depot here. This location is way better than the Lowes down the street

Its impossible to call this store and talk to a real person. Its just a robot that answers the phone and does absolutely nothing.

Bought a husky tool chest combo online and had it picked up curbside. Very very small space to maneuver through, but they are hardly to blame for that at the honolulu location. Very nice lady helped me out. At first, they brought out a floor model that was dented and scratched. I told them I wasnt paying full price for a floor model that was damaged and she informed me that ALL the boxes were assembled and in the floor. Went to verify and it was true, but told her I still wasnt paying full price due to the chances that something wasnt put together correctly or damage. She knocked off $100 from the price and I loaded it up. Still would have rather had everything still in the box just to make it easier to load and unload without scratching the finish, but everything worked out. Wish I could remember the ladies name, she was patient and understanding.

Todd was super helpful and made getting what I needed for my project easy. As long as you go at less busy times the staff is awesome.

I had a day where I decided to buy a portable air conditioner with the family so I bought the portable air conditioner and in order to take it home I had to take it out of the box so I did that and I got home I set it up and it made a crazy banging sound and then pieces starter flying out of it Of course Im very upset I just literally bought it maybe an hour before and already threw the box away but Home Depot is so good because all I did was put the thing back in my car drive right back down there show them my receipt and no questions asked got another one and took it home I just felt like that was awesome they didnt give me any trouble. Kim was awesome in the returns department. She said No problem sirbesides the fact Home Depot has everything you need at all the times you need it five stars for Home Depot

We stopped by to get a bathroom vanity with integrated counter and sink as our old one finally gave up the ghost. On that day, the selection for 30 inch vanity was minimal. We ended up purchasing the Glacier Bay #631264. I wasnt going to be too picky because this was to be a temporary for a couple years until a whole home remodel rolls around. While I did purchase this unit for $139, the construction quality makes me feel that was too high a price. I knew it was made from MDF but didnt know the entire box is held together by staples and plastic corner brackets. Im not saying this is junk but you do get what you pay for. The vanity does look attractive and does appear to be a quality product but that appearance is only skin deep.

Busy but they take the time to help you without you feeling rushed. The appliance shortage in the world is pretty trippy. 12 weeks for a washer dryer....?

Its a common theme- Theres never anyone around to help! Ive actually had to run after an associate to ask about a product.They do have excellent paint mixing with color-matching system. But the lines are horrendous.

Customer Service is great! So bought some filters which turned out to be the wrong size. (And thank you to the employee that walked me all the way to the back to where the filters were. Wasnt his fault I got the wrong size as I just purchased the same size filter that was installed) Returned the next day to a cheerful greeter at the door that directs me to the Returns people. Bada bing and Im off to grab the correct size of air filter! And although its self checkout, I was helped by an employee because I had six filters that didnt fit comfortably on the counter. Two days in a row of awesome service - Thank you!!!

The isles are very narrow and normally crowded and cluttered. Great products, when theyre in stock. The staff tries but they dont have the support they should it seems. Will still shop here, but it could be better...

I purchased in-store a Refridgerator on May 16, 2021. The first delivery date available was June 30, 2021 (1 1/2 months later). Okay, I accepted that date. 2 days before the delivery date, I get a text that says the delivery date was changed to Aug. 18, 2021 (thats 3 months after my in-store purchase). I called the 1-800 delivery customer service number to find why was the date delivery date changed. Their explanation was that its on back order because people purchase refridgerators all over the USA from Home Depot, people before me are getting their refridgerators first. OMG, seriously? So, I decided to call the actual store (Iwilei Home Depot) regarding this situation. I wanted to know what other refridgerators they have available, in stock, in their warehouse here on the island. After talking to the automated voice thing, I sat on hold for 1/2 hour waiting for someone to pick up. Finally I just gave up, and hung up. Home Depot truely sucks when it comes to purchasing appliances of any type. This is the 2nd time I have issues when purchasing an appliance. The first time was when I purchased a stove. It got delivered, but it was the wrong size (note: I gave the guy at the store the dimensions that the stove will be put in and he said this stove will fit there, WRONG! ). The stove was still in its packaging on a crate. It was never un-crated. It was just dropped off in my living room. I called 3 days later to inquire about a returning it for a refund. They said NO, they have a 2 day refund window after delivery. After arguing and going back and forth talking to associates on the phone for over a weeks time period, I finally got a refund. Whew, that was an ordeal. For now, Im going to ask for a REFUND, since I still havent gotten the fridge delivered yet. Then, Ill be heading over to LOWES instead!! NEVER EVER, WILL I PURCHASE ANOTHER APPLIANCE FROME HOME-DEPOT.....BEWARE - IF YOU PLAN ON BUYING APPLIANCES....YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.....

I love their tool selection. Their friendly and extremely helpful staff gave me the best advice and tips to complete my improvement project! Typical location you would expect from the nationwide brand. Good selection and inventory. They get wiped out during sales like most places but they have other options. Staff is helpful although sometimes you get people on an off day. Patrons from all walks of life. They have covered parking but you have to cross the walkway to get into the store. They have equipment rentals, wood cutting, contractor lanes and self checkout. They also have social distancing markers. Location is conveniently located next to Costco and across the street from Best Buy and behind a small shopping strip area.

The local store has consistently met my needs usually with knowledgeable, efficient staff. My biggest problem was an issue with an order I had to place on line. I waited 5 months for the correct size sidesplash to complete my bathroom. When I spoke with the corporate office, I was told the part couldnt be found anywhere, so my best option was to order a shorter size. The order soon arrived and I installed it. One week later I received an automated email stating that the sidesplash I originally wanted was now available. Fortunately, the local store manager said that I could return the smaller sidesplash even though I had already installed it. My bathroom sink is finally complete.

Well what can I say its home depot they pretty much have everything you want for most of your household projects and they have a great garden there I mean some epic plants thats what I was therefore plus I got some bamboo fencing which is super cool

Went to buy a couple of ceiling fans to match what we already had. Kept going around the shelves, couldnt find them. A worker asked if we needed help, husband says no, I said yes. He found them right in front on our eyes. 🤪 Did self ck out, guy there scanned our items, gave us our 10% military discount, spouse paid and off we went only to find two trucks on either side of us. One normal and the other bed talker than my 51w spouse. He backed out very carefully. Now installing fans at home.

Too much traffic not enough parking, chaotic shopping experience.

Some of their staff needs to be trained in customer service. I recently was in the market for a circular saw, I asked to see one that was locked in the cage below the product so that I could read about it. Tge staff member told me and another guys that it was on the shelf further in the isle. When we got there it was not stocked so we had to go back, wait for the same person to help us again and he had to open the same cage that we had requested it from earlier. Then he could not answer any questions..

A solid Home Depot location and has everything you need to get your home projects done. A little bit crowded on the weekends, but still a great time to go and pick up what you need.

Only problem with this place is the parking. Always busy. One great thing about this place is I have not once found a service representative who did not know where a particular product was.

Kalihi store...very helpful employees! Main aisle crowded with merchandise of the same products which in their perspective aisle wasnt stock completely. I know its a marketing set up but not in the main aisle toward the cashiers fronting the entrance & exit (crowded, in case of emergency).

Used the app to check if the product I wanted was I stock. Then I used the app to find out where I could find the product in the store. I was in the store 15 minutes!

Mostly I had good experience at that store. But today a lady at painting department, who was very rude. I was trying to communicate with her and she wasn’t paying attention; I tried yelling, she didn’t listened; she was always answering questions I didn’t ask. I was willing to order a gallon, and had to order a quarter, because she wouldn’t pay attention to what I was saying.

I go here at least once a week but now i’m a little shocked at some of their recents changes!! I noticed today that their hawaiian plant supply is now much smaller than what it used to be. They used to have a great selection. They decided to cut back on native plants and replace them with Bromeliads? This is the only home depot that made this decision and I’m disappointed it happened. Not to mention it’s native hawaiian plant month! Wow!

You are constantly lost looking for a specific item and if you ask someone where to find an item you just added another 10-15 minutes to your shopping experience. Go when you have a lit of time .

Customer service was top notch. Home Depot does not ship to Hawaii which does not explain why not. The employee helping me did everything she needed to be sure I was able to order cardboard desk and have it delivered to Hawaii. Corporate needs to get their act together to make it right for shoppers to order and have delivered.

Store busy on weekends. Normally shop in the mornings like 5 am when they open on weekdays. Did a job in the area so got what I wanted and finished job.

Excellent. Everyone we spoke to was very helpful and knowledgeable. Tristan helped us to pick out mirrored hallway sliding doors that would fit our hallway closet. Home Deport helped to load it up in our car which made for safer travel.

The Home Depot is terrific. They have almost everything you need in terms of hardware, lumber, flooring, home improvement, etc. plus tons of stuff you dont need, but may want anyhow. The prices are pretty good (lumber is too expensive) and their return policy is vet generous. On the downside, it usually seems that there are not enough people on duty in the aisles or at customer service.

A small faux par on picking up some merchandise the night before that was corrected. The staff was extremely helpful and called me back to make sure that all issues had been resolved. Great customer service. Getting someone on the phone when you are calling in for assistance is quite time consuming, but that seems to be happening everywhere these days.

I feel like Home Depot has upped their game this past year, they seem to actually care about customers now!! Their app is just amazing, I love to order from my phone and have everything ready for quick pickup. My only suggestion for improvement would be to make the app a little bit better for Hawaii, its still hard to tell what they will ship to Hawaii and what they wont.

Overall good customer service from floor staff but the cashiers dont seem to know whats happening. 2 of them seemed so confused.

I go here a lot for home improvement parts and supplies. They are well stocked and better staffed over the years. More customer service oriented. Of course they got Lowes for competition so I guess they had to.

I have been here multiple times for a construction project. The place is under staffed and a lot of Staff were not very knowledgeable in location of items.

Lots of parking, including an upstairs. Staff can be helpful if you ask the right people. Garden area is well kept and plenty of plants to choose from!

Ordered online and there is a cool machine OUTSIDE the store where you punch in your order number and it just pops open a locker and your stuff is there! How cool

I spend too much money....

Went in to get a microwave (over the stove) only to learn that if its not on the floor then you have to have the item delivered if it is over $380. The worker also told us that there is a delivery fee even if you choose to have it shipped to the store. Uncool, we went elsewhere, and was able to pick up our item with no issues.

Usually has what I want, and the website generally directs you to the products without the need of assistance.Although it is difficult to find help if the website is misleading.

Good place to find stuff when you need it. Even if its a spur of the moment shopping trip. Employees are also nice and helpful to help you find what you are looking for.

I would like to address this comment to the management in charge of this honolulu store. This is regarding how they implement the proper usage and donning of mask by their employees. I went to this store twice this week, and in both times I noticed all the employees I had interacted with were not using their face masks properly. Almost all of them were not covering their nose. On one occasion, I commented and told employee (older man) to cover his nose because he is risking himself (and myself because i was asking for a certain product at that time) of getting infected with the coronavirus, told him to cover his nose! I told him to pinch the wire on his nose bridge to keep mask from sliding down, and he said he did that many times and the mask just wont stay in place (he added that maybe his nose is too big too for it). Since I was not comfortable about what I was seeing that time, I told him to allow me to fix it and showed him how to secure the mask by pinching it on his nose. Unfortunately after doing that, I found out that the mask was defective. There was no way it will stay and cover the nose, because there was no wire to hold it or maybe there was, but just not effective.So to the Home Depot management, if you really care for your employees and your customers, make sure that your people are properly protected by checking what your employee are using and check if it fits them properly to protect them from getting infected. DO NOT JEOPARDIZE THEM.. Because if you dont, this will be a negligent on Your part and violating the CDC and government current health regulation.on preventing the covid-19 transmission.

Good selection all things considered. Service was good and cashiers were protected. Unfortunately other employees not as much, but thats due to their work though almost everyone inside was masked up. Distancing was hard though only some tried. Felt mostly safe which was nice.

Brought my door mat is size of 24X60 but is probably been returned by someone that been cuted to a 24X24 only - is a little square size. I need to go back to the store again to do the exchange to the right one!!! If item been returned please double check item is good before put back on the floor is common sense!!
