Check out was running smoothly and found what I needed quickly. Seems well staffed, given labor shortages. Well stocked shelves.
This was my go to store for 8 years. Now they have decided to shutdown half of the self checkout machines permanently (and occasionally open them when things get too bad.The last 5 or 6 times I have gone in have been a 30 minute plus wait. People regularly cut in line with no accountability. One time the wait was nearly an hour, with all lines going down 2 isles.Unless you like waiting around, shop elsewhere until they get it together. No other store has this kind of wait.
Lines 10-20 customers deep at each register last three times Ive been here. Why is the second self check not open if you are short handed? Why are there 3-5 employee gathering carts when there are 60 customers waiting to check out? Bag if not qualified to check. Where is the manager? Why is customer service not checking out customers when nobody is in their line. Done shopping here.
I never think of writing reviews for grocery stores but I wanted to considering the consistency of great customer service I get from the cashier, Michelle. She’s so sweet and always make sure everything was okay for my shopping experience. This is a cashier I don’t mind talking to about my day because she just makes you feel comfortable. Thank you!
After realizing the sale price was not taken on the items I purchased this morning, I went back to the refrigerator section to verify that my items were indeed on sale. Sale price noted and verified. I talked to the gal working the self service checkouts where I purchased my items, and her lackadaisical reply was Oh, you will have to take it to Customer Service... she can help you there... I go to customer service... explain the issue... I can tell she doesnt believe me... that the items were on sale... She asks for one of the items and she scans it. She asks me to punch in my phone number connected with my Fred Meyer card and of course, I punch in the wrong number. She scans my Fred Meyer key card... and then I ask her if the system showed my items were on sale and she said no, it did not. She gives my refund and goes back to what shes doing, counting papers or something of that nature. I asked her if she was going to let someone know that the sale price was not activated for the items I purchased and she blew me off... knowing that every other customer that was going to purchase that item would have charged full price because the system was not current did not sit well with me. So I went back to the refrigerator section and told one of the clerks about the issue. Long story short... I understand that the system was not current and thats not what I have a problem with... what I have a problem with is the customer service person who blew me off when I asked her if she was going to let someone know about the issue... I wish another grocery would open up on north side of Hwy 26, off of Cornelius Pass Road. There are some employees at the Imbrie Fred Meyer that have a good customer service approach but there are many that dont... I feel that the store and some of the employees know they have the corner of the market... the location is great for a grocery store - and some of the employees just dont care and have a lousy customer service approach. I think those employees should be transferred to another store and have some fresh blood brought in.
I’ve been shopping at Fred Meyer for a long time and the experience has always been good. This Fred Meyer is the exception. They mess up my Clicklist orders and why do you need to put items like pasta, chips, and other items in different locations instead of having all of the pasta together. The chips are in three different isles and this dives me crazy. Think I’ll start looking for a new store
I happened to look at my email . MUCH to my surprise I got an email saying my order was delivered.Sure enough it was delivered. The delivery person DID NOT BOTHER TO TEXT ME or EVEN KNOCK ON THE DOOR LETTING US KNOW THAT OUR ORDER WAS HERE. Its IMPORTANT to LET US KNOW ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE COLD STUFF.I would have been EXTREMELY TICKED OFF If our items got SPOILED because of the LAZINESS of your DELIVERY DRIVER.You emphasis fresh food every time. It wouldnt have been fresh had they sat out there for a long time.I encourage you to re train your delivery drivers and employees to go the extra mile for your customers.Otherwise no one will want to order delivery from you.I paid 9.99 to have my groceries delivered.I expect them to be delivered well and notified when I receive them.I will now think twice about getting groceries delivered from you.
I have shopped at Fred Meyer for almost 30 years but recently service is not good. They were slow in implementing COVID-19 precautions to start with and now have relaxed them completely it seems. Frequently, I end up bagging my own groceries. If I have to do that I might as well go to their competitor about a half mile away and save money, also
Fred Meyers 5 of 6 handicap Mobil chairs all dead at the same time 6 half way threw store died. Not handicap helpful. Great store for shopping as long as you can walk. Rough parking.
Zero help, no customer service, and rude cashiers to even answer the phone for help to finding products. Shopping here is like hell. I would goto new seasons even though it cost more. When I asked the cashier why the lack of help she said I dont care.
I’m not from here, and I usually don’t review grocery stores, but I felt I needed to let the world know how awesome this Fred Meyer is. This place is huge! Maybe that is normal but I’m not sure since it’s the only Fred Meyer I’ve been to. It’s so clean and organized. I’m from Texas where we have HEB, but Fred Meyer puts HEB to shame. Kudos to whoever was in charge of designing the layout. All of the staff were busy working (no idle hands or people on their cell phones!) to keep the place stocked and neat. Spoke to two employees (one woman and the man who refills the lottery machine), and they were both so helpful and kind when we were looking for certain items. I left the store with my boyfriend and was like “wow these people here are so nice!”
One stop shopping. Better than Target or Walmart local staple for most of the PNW.
The manager Marcela is a peice of work. She is rude to customers and loves to mistreat her part-time employees for the pleasure it brings her. She is what makes fred Meyers tarrible
Each of my visits this year have been aweful. As a shareholder I feel ashamed to go through the shopping experience here. The selection, layout, and value is not nearly as good as other competitor stores nearby, the employees that wear the red vests have been rude, and long lines with only 1 or 2 registers open all while a handful of employees are standing around or aimlessly wandering near the checkout stands.
I wish youd hire young kids with the right attitude. This young fellow was bagging my items, he stopped midway and walked away without saying a world. I finished bagging it myself. These young kids these days have the wrong attitude towards work. I manage three teams for a company I work for. I would not tolerate such behavior. Fred Meyer, I sure hope you do a better job and hire quality people. Not just space fillers.
Always the best fruit and and vegetables. Bakery is well stocked with many choices. Love that it is a one stopping center.
If I could give 0 stars I would. This is specifically the Floral Department. It was a disorganized messed and I witnessed a gentle man trying to get the balloons that he purchased at this place that was ALREADY A QUARTER BLOWN UP refilled and the old woman behind the floral counter rejected him and tried to upcharge him for the helium today. This was around 10am. First of all, just because your department is desperate for income, you can easily have common sense and simply have the balloons be fully blown in your department. Its not difficult to do a simple task as someone that has worked in the same department type. Secondly, I referred to the customer to not come here for his floral needs and to go to Safeway on TV at the sunset esplanade because at least you are treated well and they wont upcharge you for a refill on the balloon thats suppose to be already blown up. Plus their arrangements that the manager makes over at safeway is gorgeous. Like jesus. Spend $30 for a quater blown balloon and they were going to upcharge them an additional $30 for the helium???? Imagine having a mission statement While our stores change with the times, one thing stays the same - our commitment to Customers and not even follow through with it.
Its literally a Fred Meyer.. you know what theyve got... this ones no different... better fishing supplies than most...
Complete hassle using the pharmacy at this Fred Meyer. They have held my medications for the last 4 days and after visiting twice still have not released them to me. Even with the pharmacy open and the drive thru open they would not help me and release my medications because they were giving COVID vaccines. Which no one was there to receive. I work long hours and it’s very difficult to work around their changing hours of operation. Aside from that they have high prices for medications and make it incredibly difficult to transfer over to them. I made a giant mistake using this pharmacy and now I will need to transfer my medication again just so I can pick them up from a place that will actually provide them. They also double charged me, told me I would get a refund and after a week of not receiving the refund I went back only for them to give me a phone number to call And request my refund directly from Kroger. That took two separate phone calls and another two weeks for my refund. Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
Missing so many basic food items and the store is organized so weirdly.
I went through Gabes checkout line and he was crazy fast and super friendly! Great customer service!
Never enough checkers lines formed all the way down and around the aisles.
Freddy’s doesn’t push politics or liberal agendas on you while you’re shopping. Absolutely great shopping experience - thank you!
Bunch of employees too busy moving things back and forth on racks to be bothered with customers... least it wasnt as dirty as it could have been inside.
Good place for groceries etc
I frequent Fred Meyer, but the gas station needs to get it together. The gas station was so busy the line was in the street, the line was out to the street. Nobody was in line w gas caps on the right side of there cars. For safety reasons and to let traffic pass, I backed in to the open space. The attendant refused to serve me, as if it made a difference in purchasing gas. It’s not that they couldn’t, they just didn’t want to.My prior experience, I needed a propane tank and the employee said “ I don’t know how, nobody has ever showed me”Management here needs to get it together. From now on I will spend the extra couple of dollars somewhere else as there is obvious problems with employees wanting to do there job at this station.
This place got an AMAZING sushi bar along with a super friendly sushi master! I had the Poke bowl and it was AWESOME! Just wished I can get them to be in SoCal.
This store has a lot of different department. it good for a quick local trip for the random items and some food without having to go to the specialized store. i would say I am always a bit disappointed by the limited choice of items in the food section, but overall its a good experience shopping there!
It’s very uncommon for a shopper to want to write a review but this experience I had needed one. I’m very thankful for Paul over at the self check out being able to assist in a friendly and professional manner in such a short amount of time. Balancing multiple customers at once could be very difficult especially during peak weekend hours. He’s a keeper!
New policy last week, you have to have a Fred Meyer card to get the sale prices. I spent about an hour here today clothes shopping and walked out without buying a thing because I dont want to provide my private information just to shop here. Epic fail. I will never shop at Fred Meyer again. Are you listening, management? This is not what I as a long time customer wants! So disappointing.
I had an unpleasant experience today with SIOBAM, SIO a Cahsier at Money Services. We came to send money by western union half an hour before the advertised closing time. She has been extremely rude to us. She brought her anger on us. She talked in an angry rude tone! while we were asking her politely if she can help us with western union since it is not supposed to be closed yet, She yelled at me I am not Doing it! It is not my fault you come here late When I said that this language is not appropriate with customer she said because you are pushing me I personally do not believe that this is the way Fred Myers wants to see their employee treat their customers!
I drive from Beaverton to go to this Fred Meyer because the staff is much more friendly and helpful than Beavertons store. Definitely recommend shopping here.
Love the people who work here always friendly and smoking and willing to lend a helping hand.
Really poor customer service. I actually saw someone report a pharmacist for abusive behavior. The place is a huge mess.
If you want to get a western union money order avoid doing it at Fred Meyers. Returning an unused, unneeded money order isnt possible. Even if you have the purchase receipt and money order receipt. They have no problem taking your money but will argue and decline to return it. IF an associate is willing to take the steps to initiate the return then one money order might go through but the second one will be denied. The reason for this is because they use a third party company that Isn’t available to get into contact with in order to resolve the issue. The third party company will simply deny Fred Meyer the authorization to return the money order, So you will be stuck paying a 15 dollar fee to return the money order directly to western union which is beyond frustrating.
Horrible customer service. Rusty, old, beaten shopping carts. Dirty restrooms. Makes shopping at Winco look like stress free environment.Cashiers never smile or even say thank you. No help putting your bags in the basket. Im sticking with Safeway and Walmart- much, much, much better experience. Did I mention that their in-store ads are very misleading. Oh and to put icing on the cake... There is woman by the name of Kinsey who is terrible at interacting with customers.
Lady at the customer service desk has serious attitude issues. Pretty low standards for hiring people here.
$70 for 2 tiny bags of grocery.. Prices here have went threw the roof
A well-known, locally started, Grocery and household goods store, located around the west coast region. It was originally started by Fred Meyer, the namesake, but was bought out by Kroger a number of years ago, and has been subpar in quality ever since. They are after your money, more than they aim to please, and Fred Meyer was just as determined to give his customers the best service and prices, as he was making a profit. Fred Meyer started the original true minimum pricing concept, which exists no more with Kroger. As a matter of fact, since Kroger took over the company, they said it would remain autonomous, and it has been anything but. Most of the Fred Meyer brands are gone, replaced with Krogers Brands, and Kroger now has over 26 companies that I know of, and are basically starting a monopoly on the grocery business in the United States. It is too bad they can get away with this, they are too big for their britches already, and I hope they are made to conform to better services and options to the public, then they have been thus far, in the future. I once called the Kroger headquarters to complain about an issue happening at a Fred Meyer store, which was technically illegal, and their director of customer service at the time for the entire Corporation, told me that they would agree with whatever the store was doing, regardless of whether or not it was legal or illegal, and if I didnt like shopping there, I should go shop somewhere else. Those were her words. Then she hung up on me. Obviously, their customer service cant be expected to be too good, when the person at the top of their company, for customer service, behaves in this manner. I was very pleasant with her, told her I had been a lifelong customer, and was shopping at their stores for over 50 years at that time. She couldnt have cared less. Best wishes, and definitely look for sales, otherwise most things you are getting, you are paying way too much for at Fred Meyer. Cheers!
I love Fred Meyer because they have everything I need and great prices consistently lower than other companies. And their reward system is the best. Today I was in this location and a manager, Ruben, was excellent. He provided fantastic customer service to me and I watched him help many others as well. The checkers were also very polite and kind.
I used to love this Freddy’s but it’s become unsafe. Crowded, no one wears a mask or respects social distancing. I feel sorry for the employees.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Tried getting a grill today and ended up waisting 2 1/2 hours of my day on bad information from employees and lac of action. Was waiting on the manager the majority of the time. I just wanted to buy a grill and be on my way but now here I am nearly 3 hours later on my way home with no grill and a waisted afternoon. Didn’t even come up with a solution on how I could get the grill just gave me a refund and sent me on my way. Oh and yes I spent a majority of those hours waiting on a grill I had all ready PURCHASE.
Im getting tired of going to Freds and there being no shopping carts. I can understand during holiday shopping but I go to Freds two or three times a week and rarely are there any carts available in the cart area I have to go back outside and get a cart several times I seen the cart Gathering people out running around playing in the parking lot or driving the little scooters around. Its just getting annoying I think Ill start going to Safeway if they cant clear up the cart problem. Ive been a loyal customer friends for over 50 years but I expect some loyalty in return
Expansive wine selection, mediocre fresh meats
Nice supermarket. The store is a lot larger and has a great variety. The prices are pocket friendly. Highly recommend.
Staff is always great. Always has what I need..can do any recipe foreign or domestic!! If you ask for help ( bagging, help loading car) you never feel like your wasting their time. Butcher block employees always my favorite!!! They are the best. Not only that but the meat is always very well cut and everything is presented clean and tidy. Youll feel great shopping here.
Cashier Victoria was very rude and unpleasant. Cashiers are usually pretty cute
I find grocery prices are a little lower than other stores in my area. Usually fast check out Fairly well maintained and many various items beside groceries. Mostly one stop shopping.
Tanya in produce.....amazing help, thank you so much!
Frys Fred Meyers Kroger whatever you want to call it its the same company the stores are almost the same here as they are in Arizona a lot of the same things that you would find they have re-invented their stores a little bit and kind of tried to kick him up a notch with some specialty areas around the delis and stuff like that and Organics but for the most part it is your normal Supermarket also has clothes has some seasonal outdoor items but this Fred Meyer does and cooking crock pots Cuisinart microwave, truly a One-Stop shopping place
My wifes experience at the store was horrible. she went to the checkout line to pull out pull out cash which is possible at Fred Meyer locations up to $100 without purchase one girl had said you need to purchase something she asked another cashier the other cashier said yes you need to purchase something in order to take money out which is obviously not true these two cashiers had no clue on what they were doing so my girlfriend purchased a dollar Snickers went to customer service return the dollar Snickers and got the dollar back explain to customer service with the two girls had said customer service knew what they were doing they just shut their head seems like a morning team meeting needs to be in place
Everything you need
An easy one-stop shop store. Decent selection from organic foods, to deli, to some electronics, to jewelry, to clothes, etc. A little something for everyone. Not the widest selection of anything in particular but a little of all.
Classic Fred Meyer with fast service and just about anything you need. Store was clean throughout and had a nice open atmosphere. True one-stop shopping with a great balance of competitive price and good quality merchandise. I like the rewards program for easy returns and the fuel savings too.
Horrible customer service, not helpful. They don’t care about customer.
Freddys garden department is the best, this time of year. Walk in and check out of the center in a snap... Never have go inside the store even. Super convenient and fast!
Overall the store is clean compared to other Fred Meyers. BUT Costumer Service is HORRIBLE. Had Multiple incidents where I was overcharged for an item. When I went to the Customer Service Desk so that it could be adjusted instead of having “Rosa” apologize she refunded me the difference with major attitude. Clearly no costumer service!!!!
I specifically come here for their chocolate cake and refill on water. The employees are always very friendly and helpful. You can always find discounts on clothing. I would recommend coming to this Fred Meyer.
Good place to do casual shopping for everyday items. Friendly staff who are willing to lend a helping hand if required. At times, they give away freshly prepared barbecued ribs at the entrance. Reduced one star because we have had to go back to correct incorrect billing issues.
I find Fred Meyer to be on the more expensive side when it comes to groceries and housewares but the store has a really good selection. Great organic and bulk food section- items you must not find in a regular grocery store. Has a big clothing section, housewares, some hardware, and garden center. One stop shopping.
Thats my favorite Fred Mayer. I can find here nice whole grain buns and there are many options in food and clothes. The people are very professional. One day I forgot the bag with the things that Ive bought and when I got back after almost an hour the customer service was holding all my staff.
They had the Nintendo switch I was looking for. Woo woo!!!!
Love the Imbrie Dr store. The BAKERY is the BEST! Cheryl and the bakery team helped me create the best looking and tasting CUSTOM birthday cake. Its the only place to go.
I purchase some insoles there on January 12th but they arent comfortable. When I went in today January 24th to return them I was told they cannot take their item. But it gets better. Not only do I have the receipt which clearly identifies said insoles, I also have the card they were purchased on. The lady asks if I have the upc from the package and Im like no, that was 2 weeks ago. She asks her co worker if she is able to do the return without a UPC and he says it is up to you. She comes back and tells me she is unable to do the return. Are you serious!?!? I just heard your co worker tell you it was your call. Not cool Fred Meyer. Not cool at all. Wont ever be shopping here again...
From shopping in garden I find the quality of Freddies plants exceptional. Last year I bought 2 red roses for & 3.99 each. They are doing extremely well this year. I also have found the Confetti plant brand to last well.
A mega store for grocery, vegetables, jewellery. Nice staff, well allowed stalls. Ample goods. A satisfying experience to a buyer for his household requirements.
Good selection, produce department does a fine job & typically friendly service. This is a medium size super store with all the departments you expect at Freddies. We like shopping here. The parking lot is well lit at night & it is conveniently located just off hwy 26.
I love Fred Meyer. I almost would move out of CA for them, though I suspect the lack of sales tax in OR sweetens the experience. I got a bagful of school supplies for just over $20. Had to stop myself from going crazy in the household section. Great prices and selection.
The prep-pared meal kits for 2 people are amazing. Please stock more options during holidays...not all of us want Homechef sides for the holiday season. Especially since it serves 8 people!!!
Perfect time to shop!
On the smaller side for a Fred Meyers. They are currently remodeling hoping that helps to make it feel a little more open. Decent prices along with decent selection of products.
I shop here quite a bit for products that I cant find at other stores in the same size or quality. I especially like to get my meats from here. The meat tastes of good quality and not half rotting as I have gotten from other stores.
Employees were not wearing masks or gloves. Checkout lines were open right next to each other, crowding customers. They were not wiping self-checkout stations. I expect this from Walmart, but Freddies?... lol.
This particular Fred Meyer can be really busy on the weekends: They have everything you need for your house and more. Their have a nice selection of organic foods. I feel like I can always go in and find what I need. Employees are for the most part friendly. I have encountered one or two that need to improve their customer service approach. I would like to see a better selection on dog food. That is something that I cant purchase here.
Spent almost two hours in there. Found some pretty good deals and had a lot of fun actually. The people there are always nice.
Winslow (cashier), Mitch (cashier), and Mary B (in the deli) are AMAZING. Especially Mary B, she deserves a raise. Sweetest person Ive met in a while with great customer service! I will be coming to this Fred Meyer a lot. Very friendly and great service.
Fred Meyer is one of our go to stores! Perfect on the way home. They have an incredible cheese selection and we like to try something new from there often!
Fred Meyer has boasted a decent selection of organic, vegetarian, and vegan products for a long time - at least in their other stores. I was pretty surprised today to find that this store which is a larger Fred Meyers site had meager offerings in terms of meat analogs and other alternative proteins, tucked in between the eggs and cheese. Since that was my main objective. I was disappointed and i didnt have time to try to hunt anyone down for more help. That said the prices seemed alright and the check out clerk was polite and efficient. Weirdly the bagger seemes a little surly about me asking for paper, but in the end they did a good job so no foul.
My go to for food, makeup, and their gas station has the best prices. Its my favorite store with everything you could need at great prices
This Fred Meyers out in Hillsboro is a nice large Fred Meyers. So far all the Fred Meyers I been to Washington County have clothes. That is impressive because all the Fred Meyers in Portland or most of them in Portland I guess have discontinued selling clothes like they used to. For shame I dont like the Portland Fred Meyers to well I dont like any Fred Meyers at all in Portland. At least the stores in out there in Washington County have plastic bags. And everyone in those stores who buy groceries or whatever are using them.
Good experience in the end. A lot of hassle on an issue that created a need to go back and wait a couple hours... but I give them solid credit for making up for it and doing their best to leave the poor experience in a good way.
Love shopping here. Store is stock up with organic products and produce. Its always organize and clean too.
The staff are somewhat nice and the floors aren’t that clean but other than that it’s a typical Fred Meyer.
Their store hours are posted that they are open until 11 p.m. and they close the garden section and would not allow anyone in after 8. The sun is still out people are buying plants the garden section should be open if your store is open.I checked three other Fred Meyer locations and they post that their garden center is open until 11 p.m..
They are revamping this location to include a much larger selection of goods, especially organics. Generally they will have everything I am looking for, especially as they have a variety of departments including clothing and household items. The prices are fair and competitive. If you are new to this area, I would recommend Fred Meyers to driving to the super walmart nearly 35 minutes away.
Good Fred Meyer. Weve been living in the area since August and this place is our go-to grocery store for everything from vegan-friendly items to pastries to my wedding band. Good stuff.
Fred Meyer is great. They treat their employees great. We can get high quality products from their stores. I will spend a few extra cents to go to this store instead of Wal-Mart (Which I can proudly say I have not purchased anything from in at least two years).
The neighborhood close to Intel has only three grocery stores, with Fred Meyer being one of them. The other two are WinCo and New Seasons. Each of them have their own pros and cons. When it comes to Fred Meyer, the variety of produce and food products is unbeatable. The fact that Fred Meyer is also a departmental store makes it a one stop shop for most everyday needs. The only (and very minor) negative is that theyre slightly pricey compared to WinCo.
Fred Meyer has really gone downhill lately. The boars Head stuff in the deli is terrible compared to other stores without it, the prices are way too high and service is unheard of. I wont be returning after 6/30 because that is when Playland closes which was the only reason I shopped there still.
Have you tired Clicklist yet??? While working a 12 hour shift I realized that once again I had forgotten to plan something for my dinner. While grumbling at the the thought of another week of take out I finally decided to try it. I was blown away. The parking was easy to find and away from all the traffic and pedestrians. Within 5 minutes my car was fully loaded with my entire shopping list. The employee handed me my receipt with a smile and I was home at my usual time. I whipped together a healthy meal in 15 minutes. This service is helping me live a healthier life while preserving the little time I have in the evenings. If you try it you wont regret it.
Friendly staff when they can be found. Had to wait to find someone for a key to be made, then something was wrong because it didnt work and when went back again hard to find someone so just left. The people were very friendly when they were helping me so that was good, but maybe just understaffed
One of the best Fred Meyer locations in the Portland Area. Lots of parking (usually) and the store is clean and bright.I accidentally left some groceries in the bottom of a shopping cart when I left. An hour later I came back and the help desk had my groceries waiting for me. So not only is the store good, but the shoppers and honest.
Good place to go for almost anything you need. The produce department needs a lot of work. That is my huge con for this store. There produce department gets a 1 star just because at least they have one.
Probably my last favorite Fred Meyer because the layout is different than pretty much any other one Ive visited. Normally their stores have foods on one half, and non-foods on the other. This one has food in the middle with non-foods on either side. Its silly, but when youre used to the layout being a certain way and you want to go in for a quick trip it isnt so quick if youre lost.
Fred Meyers itself is a great store, however their Imbrie location breaks the mold with the most rude employees and poor service I ever experience. From told to move while shopping they need to stock that shelf at 3pm to being moved out of the way at the door by someone sweeping. Ask for the manager and the joke really begins it appears to be he might be the issue that causes the poor service as well as the not stocking anything like the other stores. Will I shop Fred Meyers stores? Absolutely! Will I shop at the Imbrie location, not on your life.
