Ryan is very patient. My hair is hard to handle (curly hair). I have been to other hair salons and If they pull my hair. But Ryan was so gentle. Great customer service, throughout the process he kept asking how was I doing. You can feel that he enjoys his job by his gentleness while washing your hair. And the best comes near the end. After he rinses your hair he puts a warm towel under your neck and gives you a neck and head massage. Although Ryan has a great personality, I didn’t like the quality of his work. I thought it was pricey, over $300 to bleach my (orange) bleached hair. Taking into account that nothing was done to the roots and I do have some gray hair. And it wasn’t styled at the end.

Hannah, is awesome! Ive started to get to know her more over the last few haircuts which I love. Initially, I kept going back to her because she listens and gives you exactly what you want, and shes been doing that every time. She pays attention to detail, takes great care, and I can tell she loves her job. Gentlemen, if youre looking to get a nice fade out, Hannahs got you covered!

Be aware of fake reviews! I do not recommend Ryan. Rude manager and customer service. ‏I came here for a hair cut and a big change in my hair color for my birthday. Ryan did a good job on my haircut, however, I am not happy with the result of my hair color. The top of my hair looks messy and unbalanced. It’s not even brown, it’s orange. He did not dry my hair because he didnt want me to see the result and I left the shop with wet hair. For hair consultation, he didn’t mention that I need to do lightning process twice to get the result that I want. he splashed some color materials on parts of my hair that were supposed to be dark. So now, I have bright dots on dark parts of my hair !!!! I paid $220 for this mess. I wanted blond and brown balayage but you see the result :)

This was my first time visiting this Bishops and my first time getting a color consultation anywhere, and had a great time. Ryan was very welcoming and relaxed, while also clearly knowledgeable. He was willing to chat with me about what I wanted, offered different options without rushing me, broke down how pricing worked, and even put a few colors we discussed on a paper towel to give me a visual of the differences. I am so excited to go back in a couple weeks and get my hair colored for the first time in a few years!

Staff greeted me promptly and politely. My stylist gave me a good cut, and was professional and personable. All at a great price. Ill be back in 4 weeks!

At first I was feeling anxious about asking for my hair to be cut the way I wanted but Hannah is so nice and really helped me to feel comfortable with asking for what I wanted. It was my 1sr time visiting Bishops, As well as my stylists first week. Candice made me feel very comfortable, she listened to my requests and checked all the way through the cut to make sure all was good for me! I like a short hair cut and she wanted to make sure I was happy with how short I was going, she finished with a more feminine so I still feel pretty. I will be back. See you in about 3.5 weeks!

Patty is great to work with. She took me 30 minutes. She listened to what I said I wanted and had some suggestions about an under cut. My hair cut is cute. Not quite what I had pictured in my head, but then my hair is kind of thick and probably more suited for a bob than a pixie cut. That aside I am very pleased. Thank you Patty.

Ryan did a great job trimming my hair the way I wanted it done. He was personable & professional. I appreciated that he checked in numerous times to make sure he was giving me the cut I wanted. Kudos!

I showed the hairdresser a picture of what I wanted and she assured me a couple times that she was comfortable with the cut. I triple checked with her because I was going out of town for an event and wanted it to be right. She reassured me that she was confident. It wasn’t anything crazy but I wanted the fade right. Well it turns out she wasn’t up to it and she completely botched the cut. There was no manager on duty so I went home and I had to buzz my head. Needless to say, I was disappointed. Now I’m even more disappointed because I reached to corporate for a refund and I was told that it’s their policy not to give any refunds. Terrible business practice. I will never return and I will make sure that I tell everyone that I know to steer clear.

I had my haircut with Hannah and she was excellent! We had fun conversation throughout the service and she did a great job explaining why she was doing what she was doing throughout the cut. 10/10 would recommend!

I worked with Marisol to get a fairly unique cut! She was professional and did an amazing job. I recognize with haircuts like mine that are easy to mess up, that its no small feat getting it just right, and Marisol has done so both times Ive visited her. 12/10 would highly recommend.

I come here for bang trims, layering, and for those times when I cut my own hair with kitchen scissors on a whim. They always understand the vibes I’m going for and are very friendly. I like that they’re all pretty young so I know they won’t cut my hair like a Karen.

I love these folks! I was looking for a queer-friendly haircut place to get my first cut since the pandemic hit, and they were excellent! Hannah was my stylist, and she was patient with me and helped talk me through a good style and maintenance routine for my hair type. 5/5, I’m definitely coming back for all of my future styling needs!

I have a long curly hair and requested someone who can handle my kind of hair. I requested a blow dry so I can see my final look and I was denied of my request saying it needs to be purchased separately (which I was fine with) and they did not have time for it at that time. They asked me to blow dry or straighten myself and come back if any alterations are needed. I am not able to comprehend how this is a valid response. I was told I was allotted only 30 mins and they cannot do what I needed in that time. My point is, when I was allotted only 30 mins and when they saw how much work is needed why did they start on me in the first place? they should have said we will need to reschedule you because this might take longer than we thought it would. I am extremely dissatisfied with the response, after all I am trying to achieve a hair cut I went there for and I had to leave without knowing if I got what I needed. There is more to the whole thing but for anyone reading this I would say, I have realized the hard way (meaning spending hair which toke me 2 years to grow) that reviews and rating can be very very very deceiving, how people are treated is very individualized and can never be taught by a place we work at. I do not know whom to blame here I would just hope we all would raise to a level beyond individual judgements and respect the person who came in for your service believing in the skill you have.

I have a fear of my hair being cut too short, because it has happened on more then 1 occasion. Sydney was amazing and patient with me. She basically cut my hair 3 times to make sure I was happy with the length!

In the times of Covid, The staff has done a great job of keeping the same warm and welcome vibe in the shop despite all the regulatory changes. The shop was clean and marked for social distancing.My hair was a hot mess of not having had a cut or style in like 18 months (thank you, quarantine). But my cut and style turned out so cute and without judgement or shame.Highly recommend!

I had an issue with a gift card I purchased at this location (at no fault of the location) and I was incredibly pleased with the customer service and the way that the owner Jennifer reached out to resolve it. It reminds me of the way a business might have operated in the Andy Griffith show. Very impressed and will continue to do business here. And of course great haircuts!

Long time Bishops customer, like 10+ yrs long. Came for my first haircut since COVID started and I was long overdue before then even. I’ve always been highly impressed by the quality of haircuts and hair dye done here for the price. Today was no exception. I saw Jennifer at the Orenco location, she was ready and waiting when I showed up 10min early with hand sanitizer, my COVID survey, and a temp check. Excellent COVID protocols and distancing between clients/staff. Jennifer did an amazing job transforming my blunt bob that I did to myself months ago, into a very stylish A-line with the billions of layers I asked for. It was exactly as I had hoped. Everyone was very nice & welcoming, check-out was a breeze. In all the years I’ve been going to Bishops I’ve only ever had a couple cuts that I wasn’t happy with and was able to come back in to have them fixed. The bigger point is that I’ve had about 40 haircuts that I’ve been very happy with.

Ashley is so professional kind and I really enjoy getting my hair done by her. She really knows what she is doing. I know with Ashley I will always get what I pay for.

Overall good experience. Didnt have to wait long. And pricing was great. I got a haircut from a different salon about a week ago and they really messed it up choppy layers everywhere I was in tears. The stylist at Bishop was able to fix it and make it somewhat decent. I will definitely return.

Bishops does a good job and the funky bunch that works here keeps it always interesting . The free beer is pretty cool but I usually go in before noon on a work day so I cant always enjoy it . A staple of the Orenco experience .
