Paramount Kia is the best dealership in hickory. If you want a vehicle new or used this is the place to go! The salesperson I worked with was Cody, and he was very intelligent, kind, and listened very very well. He was able to fit my needs to the perfect car. I traded in my mirage for more than I expected to get, and was able to negotiate a car payment I wanted for a brand new k5. The car is beautiful and the experience was even better. I would recommend anyone and everyone to get to this dealership, find Cody, and buy yourself a beautiful new Kia!

I would not recommend this dealership to anyone! My husband and I went to look at buying a car and it was the worst experience ever. Our sales person was Justin. We were told by Justin that our vehicle we wanted would be in on Wednesday. Well Tuesday he calls us to tell us we need to put money down to hold the car. No problem we give him the card info for the down payment. Wednesday comes and he will no longer answer the phone. No money came out for our down payment but our card did get used at sams club. So I call and ask someone else when the car would be arriving and it was still a month out. This dealership will lie to you and try to steal from you! We told them to forget the whole thing and then got a letter saying they denied our request for a loan even after we were approved while we were there. We decided to take the extra drive and go to Shelby and got the car we wanted for a better price too! Please do yourself a favor and stay far away from this dealership!!!

Had a few mechanical questions Jason the service manager was super helpful. Just bought a new Niro all-electric vehicle with just over 100 miles on when the vehicle shut off and had to be towed.. just before the tow truck showed up we were able to get it started and were taking it over to the dealers.. Stephanie told us to drop it off but they did not have a loaner vehicle as all the other customers were using them... I would think if they have enough vehicles breaking down that the ran out of them that they would need more loaner vehicles to take care of their customers….. This isnt the kind of customer service I would expect from a dealership especially on one of their new vehicles...Do your research the Kia Niro EV was just removed from consumer reports recommended list for reliable vehicles they have issues with the onboard DC charger and motor bearings... If you are going to buy one I would recommend the Concord Kia dealership in Charlotte they take care of their customers..ask for Bod Sturgill

My wife and I came in to trade our van in for a car, our kids are all grown up now and we no longer need it. The trade was approved with a 500 down payment. We went in with no expectations of being able to accomplish a trade so this was very exciting news.My wife was so exited nearly in tears. We signed all the paperwork test drove the car and they washed it and filled it up with gas, it was a done deal. We we’re going to get bags from them they offered us to use to get our things out of the van. We were in the process of transferring our insurance over to the new vehicle. And at the last second they came to us and say they could not do it because I had no license and we had other loans. So this process was handled very unprofessionally. These details should be looked into before telling ur clients the car is theirs. So needless to say my wife and I left the dealership that we have dealt with for 2 previous car purchases, she was in tears yet again but for the wrong reasons. We would not have been so upset if they would not have all ready approved the car and was told it was ours and then took it back. So embarrassing!!!

I have dealt with paramount Kia in Hickory on two occasions and both times they ran me around but I eventually got a vehicle, wasn’t the vehicle I wanted but I did get one! I went back today to see if I could trade in my van for a used car because I no longer need a Van. My husband and I were presented with an approval from a bank. They had down the amount that they were going to pay for my van and the amount of the loan. We were told to go ahead and sign the paperwork. We did everything they asked us to do and then they went to go get my car so they could clean it and put gas in it. As I was transferring my insurance over to that car The sales guy tells me that because I have other car loans and I’m the only adult with license that they would have to try to figure this out. This is after they already told me that I was approved and that everything was good to go. Needless to say I did not get a vehicle after sitting there for 3 1/2 hours and excuse was because I would have three opened car loans which I currently have right now anyway LOL they didn’t make any sense and I brought it to their attention how ridiculous it is to tell someone they are approved and get me all excited about the new car and then tell me they can’t do! I will never go back there again after my experience today. It was the most embarrassing experience of my life!!!

I searched all over a 500 mile radius looking for the right and specific vehicle I wanted. I found that used vehicle at Paramount Kia. The sales team, especially Chris Gallegos, we’re amazing and super helpful. I drove from almost 3 hours away to pick up this van. With the promise of getting me in and out of dealership and back on road headed home. Chris and the finance team had me test drive van, sign paperwork, and on my way home in just over 1hr. One thing that really stood out to me was this dealership made sure I checked vehicle over and made sure I was happy with Van before I purchased. All the other dealers I visited pushed financing on me, and pushed for me buying the van I was looking at. Even though I had my own financing and was unsure on vehicle at other dealer. Paramount demonstrated none of these pushy behaviors towards me. I used to sell cars at a massive dealership and have purchased many many cars in my lifetime. It was refreshing to have an experience like this at a big dealership. Was it worth a 6hr round trip to this dealer?? Hell yes it was. And I would drive it again.

Great car shopping experience! We came in looking at the KiaTelluride and Hyundai Palisade. Our salesman Chris G was very accommodating taking us to both car lots and taking us for a drive in each! We ended up choosing the Palisade. After working out a deal with Chris it was off to finance with Colton. We were in and out of the finance office in under 10 minutes. Colton went through all of our options and digitally signing documents was a breeze. Thanks for getting us into our new family car!

We had considered looking at a new vehicle at this dealer, a good friend of ours purchased a new kia there. About a month after they got the vehicle, the windshield cracked. They took it back to this dealer and have got the run around for about 4 months now. They put one in after much wait, it cracked again. Now they told that theres no windshield available due to production.

Bought a car virtually and the process has been a nightmare. The car leaked oil after 2 weeks of delivery. Apparently whoever last changed the oil at the dealership did not tighten the oil plug, which caused the engine to start knocking. It took multiple phone calls, but their service team finally agreed to reimburse for the repair. Ive also been waiting for the tags to come in for two months now. It is nearly impossible to get someone on the phone to resolve any issues. You have to leave continuous voicemails and hope that you eventually call at the right time. Tim, the sales rep, was great but the post sales process has been awful. If you get lucky and have no issues, then youll be fine. However, if you need to communicate with anyone at the dealership then all I can say is good luck.

Such a fabulous experience at Paramount Kia of Hickory. Bought my first Kia (the amazing Telluride) and could not be happier of what my wife and I now have in our driveway. Given the demand of the Telluride, we ordered ours and Cody McRary was absolutely fabulous throughout - calling and texting updates, and answering questions (even responding on his off days). The entire staff was so gracious, humble and non-pressuring throughout. I rarely post reviews unless a company has performed either exceptionally or abysmally. Unfortunately this experience has been the latter. I drove 3 hours from my home in Virginia to Hickory, NC to look at another vehicle and wound up here towards end of day. We met with Art, who showed us a used Subaru that we were assured repeatedly was in pristine condition. The car appeared to be as described, so we discussed purchasing and Art assured us that we would be able to receive free delivery of the vehicle, or at most, $100, for delivery of the vehicle to my home address if we did not make our decision before close of business. We opted for this and decided about 30 minutes later, while still in the Hickory area, that we would like to purchase the vehicle and have it delivered. Again, we were assured delivery would be at no cost to us up to $100 at the most. We left and returned home.The following day, we were informed delivery would not cost $100, but would in fact cost $300. At this point, we were no longer in the area and had no choice but to pay the additional fee, despite what was previously discussed. When the car arrived to our address, the paperwork had the incorrect street name as well as the incorrect city. We asked if this was something Art could fix for us, and were informed Art cant help you, you can only speak to Colton. In addition, there were suspicious blanks left on our paperwork under the you owe section. We insisted this section was filled out with nothing owed prior to signing, and were also assured that the city and street address would be corrected on the paperwork. We were told that the paperwork and the title would be overnighted to us by the following day (Thursday). We insisted on speaking directly with Colton to confirm this. At this time, we were also informed we could not have the title, despite having paid in full, and it would have to be shipped to us.The next morning, I drove to work at the hospital, and reached into the pocket on my drivers side door, which to my surprise, contained an open, loose, razorblade, that I could have cut my hand on. Clearly the car had not been detailed or cleaned properly prior to our purchase. In addition to this, the paperwork did not arrive Thursday, Friday, or the beginning of the next week. We reached out to Art (sales) and Colton (with finance) and were assured again that the package would be overnighted. After two more days, now the end of the following week (Friday), we called again, and were assured by both Colton and the sales manager, Andy, that the title and paperwork had been corrected and were being overnighted. The paperwork was not overnighted, as delivery was not attempted Saturday. I am now writing this Monday, nearly two weeks later, almost at the end of the month, and still have not received the paperwork I need to make an appointment with the DMV. I reached out a third time to both Colton and Andy who informed me an attempt was made and I was not here to sign for the title, despite not ever having been told I needed to be home to sign for it. In addition, no info notice was left telling me where I could pick up the package, or that I could sign to have the package left tomorrow at my address. I was promised by Andy that he would arrange for me to pick up the package this evening and provide me a location where I could do so. He assured me he would call me back directly. He instead called my mother and informed her I could pick up the package tomorrow at a Walgreens. This was nowhere near the conversation I had with him. She said this was unacceptable and asked him to speak with FedEx to fix the issue. He said he couldnt get through to a person. So its left to us to sort out ourselves again. I called Andy back, and left a voicemail detailing again what I had asked for him to accomplish and informing him I would be writing this review. I was told he would be in the office until 6pm and I would receive a call back. Yet again, I have not heard anything. Please do not buy a vehicle from this company. Save yourself the headache.

I was very impressed with the entire experience. Our sales person, David was very helpful. He took time to listen to what we wanted rather than telling us what he wanted to sell us. Very poor service! I had an appointment at 2 pm to get an oil change and 4 new tires. I was told that my car would be done by 5. I sent a couple of messages and got no response. They closed at 6 pm. I NEVER RECEIVED A RESPONSE OR EVEN A CALL!!! When I got there my car was unlocked with all of my personal belongings in it. UNLOCKED!!! No one tried to call me at all to let me know when my car services were finished! This is NOT the first time something like this has happened here.

When I got their he already had the car out waiting on me and a different one with AWD since I said something about the one I wanted to look at not having it.. I took my car in twice to have lights on my dash checked out. The first time the lights went out before the service staff could see them. And I was told they couldnt check it unless the lights were on. The second time I called and was told to come on over and they could check it out. I was already on my way and when I arrived 5 minutes later, I was told they didnt have time to do it. And the car would store the error codes. So why didnt it store them the first time around. Although there were multiple service staff standing in the office talking. I made an appointment to have it back, left it all day, asked for an oil change and was told, they missed that and would have to pick it up an hour later. I arrived an hour later to pick it up, they were supposed to order parts for the repair. I was never told that they required payment before ordering the part. So of course I didnt bring the money. Didnt matter, my car wasnt ready and I continued to wait. After my repair is completed, I will never go back to Paramount Kia. Ill find another service center. At least they did order the part.

Very nice dealership. I saw my Jeep Wrangler on car gurus and contacted them immediately, all info posted on Car Gurus was correct, and was able to come test drive it the next day. The dealership did not sell my Jeep out from under me as I could not come to test drive it until the next day. Justin Crowe, was the salesman who sold me my Jeep Wrangler, he is very nice and seems to care. The financial accountant, Colton, very nice and understanding and did all my paper work very fast. My Jeep had an engine light pop up after purchasing it 3 weeks later and when I brought it back to have them check it out, the dealership did not charge me a dime. Even the salesman, Justin Crowe, asked what was wrong and made sure it got fixed immediately and all checked out. Very happy and would purchase again from here! I love my Jeep Wrangler, it’s my pride and joy!

Beware!! These people are con artists. They will sign you up with one interest rate then want the vehicle back unless you sign with an exorbitantly higher rate. It happened to us!! We bought a vehicle and had it almost two weeks when they pulled this scam on us. I will NEVER use any of this dealership’s branches again.

When I arrived at this dealership I was approached by a very kind salesman, David Hoover. He wasnt pushy or trying to force me into a purchase. David listened to my wants and was able to assist me in purchasing the car I wanted exactly the way I wanted it! Super nice staff from the general manager to the service center. I would highly recommend this dealership (especially David!!) to anyone looking for an easy, laid back atmosphere. These gentlemen were professional, honest, and truly working to assist me in my new car purchase. I love my 2021 Kia Seltos and all the warrantys/services I will be receiving on it in the future.

I personally worked with David. David was very helpful in my car buying experience and never tried to sneak something in or make me feel like I had to buy the car. I still work with David to this day and keep in contact with him. I would give 5 stars but the finance department was very sneaky. I was charged almost $3,500 more for contacts and add-ons I had no idea were on my contract. Getting ahold of the finance department was very tricky. Even had a time where I was on hold to only be hung up on. Luckily I went in and asked to cancel all the add-ons and put back towards my car. I would highly recommend everything but the service department.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP TO SAVE YOUR LIFE!!! I dropped my car off in FEBRUARY to get it fixed because the issues weren’t showing up at normal auto shop diagnostics. They told me it was the ABS Module and it would be $1000+ just get the part through them. I ended up finding the part online for over half of their price and had them install. I live an hour away and had to get the part shipped to my house and bring it down there because if I shipped it to them they were going to charge us a storage fee per day until it was installed (FOR A SMALL PART THAT COULDVE FIT IN MY BIG SUV literally anywhere. they didn’t have to store it). it took over 2 months before they finally installed the part and I would have to call almost 10 times each time to get any updates because no one would contact me and it kept getting pushed back (without anyone reaching out to me to make me aware. They would told me several different days that it would be ready and it never even ended up getting done). When they finally finished it, it ended up not even being the big problem that was going on with my car. And after 10+ times of trying to get in contact with someone and a week and half later they finally told me it was the transmission. They had the car for a total of 3 months, there’s absolutely no reason they shouldn’t have been able to figure that out without in the time frame. And the even said “you know how I told you replacing this part will show us whether that’s the problem or not..” they never once said that me or my dad, they straight up told us the ABS module was the sole issue. I told them my dad was coming today to come pick the car up earlier this week and take it home anyways because we aren’t paying them anymore to do absolutely nothing. When I got to the dealership the front desk lady of services literally asked if I knew were my car was at…it had been there for 3 months how was I supposed to know where THEY put my car and when they finally gave us the keys and told us it was parked it outside, I walked through the whole parking lot looking for my car just to find out no one even brought it over “because they didn’t know how to drive it” it’s an automatic car…how do you not how to drive it?? My parents and I walked across to the services just to find it sitting there dead (after I specifically asked earlier that week if it was still turning on and driving) It wasn’t a matter of no one knew how to drive it, it was a matter of them being to lazy to even jump it until I had to call to tell them they need to. There was broken pieces of plastic that went to the car laying on the floor, scratches on the side of the car that weren’t there, and my brakes were absolute shot when they worked perfectly fine when I brought it in. When I called to speak to the Manager of services, the lady on the phone laughed at me when I was trying to leave my number for him to call me back. This dealership is an absolute joke and I would recommend driving three hours away if you have to the next Kia dealership.

Bought a certified used Sorento from there. Wasnt told there was a possible bearing issue with GDI engines oil consumption. Went to dealer 7 or 8 times for oil consumption tests and failed them all .spent 400.00 on engine soak, still no better and now being told warranty company doesnt stand behind warranty. Service people did a good job but still have a kia motor that will eventually lay down on me . Buyer beware.
