I dont usually shop here, but when i do, its because they have exactly what i need when nobody else does. Plus reasonable prices and generally knowledgeable staff helps the decision.Seems like all the locations near me are going through renovations, which will be much more pleasant when theyre finished. The strong paint fumes gave me a headache after only being in store for ten minutes.
Just rating their site to store curbside pickup. Fastest Ive experienced from any store during covid. Had 2 separate orders and the young man literally ran the second item back out like he was in trouble or something. People in Hickory must be very impatient. I was grateful to see someone who enjoyed their job.
Geek squad...More like the JERK SQUAD!I called the Best Buy help line. They werent very much help at all.Because I couldnt get my computer to turn on I was directed to go to the nearest store. I set up an appointment and drove 40 mins one way. Once I arrived I went to the customer service only to be told that there was nothing they could do to test my power supply cord.They kid working the customer service counter was a jerk.He directed me to a department where they could sell me a cord.Less than a perfect solution but at least a solution.He said that he would call and tell them I was coming.I arrived in the section of the store He directed me to but they were not expecting me. Big surprise, he hadnt called.They proceeded to sell me a cord for $89.00.Had this cord worked I could of walked away from this experience with a win..an expensive win but a win nonetheless.40 mins home and again, big surprise the cord didnt work.Fun fact, you cant call any store. All phones are off-line I was told. I waited 10 minutes to be answered by tech support from God knows where.Now I am faced with a second 40 min ride... one way, to return/replace the cord they sold me.Best Buy... hardly.IncompetentUnprofessionalAnd a dissatisfied customer.What a disappointing experience.Do NOT go to the Hickory Best Buy.
Found what I was looking for as I was just Price Shopping at different places that sell washers and dryers. As you can maybe see I was looking at a specific Brand!On Pro & Con Side : There was no one who came and asked if I needed any help,which for me was Good, but for anyone else Not So Good.And I was there the good part of half an hour!
I needed something to keep my 2 young children busy and the man was so helpful I got two of the Amazon fire 7 and they love them kept them busy while we were driving out of state
I had purchased a car stereo amplifier on the website and had it installed at the Hickory location. It was installed on the back of backseat of my Mini Cooper and I was told he had left enough black in the cable so that I can still fold down the seat. A few months later I folded down the back seat and the RCA cable snapped inside of the input of the amplifier. I called Best Buy support and they said I just had to go by the store and have it fixed since I had paid for the extended service contract with the amplifier. Upon arriving at the store I was informed that I would have to drive an hour or more to another Best Buy because this one did not have anybody working in the stereo installation Department. Wasted my money on the extended service. I will not have anything installed by Best Buy again

Hickory Best Buy is under semi-construction. So you dont see what you are looking for...Ask! Because they have a lot stored elsewhere in the store. ie: I looked up online for a chromebook, and it said that it was available in store...when we got their...Zero chromebook on display! Patiently waited for sales person (short-handed as many, many other businesses are) showing the item via my phone and Boom! They had it!!! YAAAYYYY 😄 also the salesman was very, very kind and thorough. Thank You, Best Buy!
I went in today to buy a new television. They seemed to be quite busy and I expected a wait. Fairly quickly I was helped by a knowledgeable young man named Christian. He was polite, professional, and able to answer all questions. He even carried the tv to my car for me. Thanks for another great experience at the Hickory Best Buy!

The only thing I think about when it comes to Best Buy is computers and other electronics. Its either expensive or convenient to buy from here. I try keeping an update on available Gpu cards. Other than that, they got nice house appliances. We just purchased a washer and dryer and they delivered it with out a scratch. Also finally updated my moms 10 year old TV with a 45 flat screen. Now she can watch Bob Ross in 4K. 👌😌👌
Online ordering with in-store pick up was extremely fast and easy. I ordered a Nintendo Switch and their website told me an hour until pickup. We got there before the hour was up and it was already ready to go and that was with us coming from a different city about 20-25 minutes away.
There going through a remodel. There is practically nothing in the store.. Dont waste your time. There not going go have really anything in stocks stocks awhile

Purchased a cyberpower computer the mouse broke first day I took it to the store and they made me return the whole computer and buy a new one instead of just exchanging the mouse... I then bought an omen computer and my wife purchased extra ram on a separate transaction but did not save the receipt for the ram.. I went back to get the correct ram but they would not exchange it without the receipt.. I would think they could have went back through my transactions or searched for that item number on the date she bought it and pulled up the receipt instead of me having to drive home to get it..on my way home to get the receipt I called customer service they said the store should have returned that they were able to find the receipt right away they told me to call the store I called the store the general manager Mike Reynolds was not available to me I then asked for the district manager Tom Armstrong they said there was no way to reach him... Ill be returning everything again and closing my Best buy account.. from now on Ill only buy my electronics from Amazon they still put customer service first.

Great selection and plenty of staff, but rarely do they offer help. If you need items that are controlled (high end), you will have to wade through staff to ask for help.
It was a good experience but not like the Best Buy of the past. I know things are rough right now and I dont mind waiting for an associate to get free with another customer but turning their back when they knew you were waiting is pretty frustrating. I knew he saw me because we made eye contact. I wont stop shopping here but I wont go in with the same enthusiasm as before
Never had any problems with this store. Service is super friendly, fast, and it’s surprisingly clean and organized. They have really great membership benefits. I was able to get $30 off a recent purchase just because I have an account with them. Their warranty program is very good too and I’ve never had any issues redeeming it. I would recommend this store to anyone.

Completely dissatisfied!!!! I ordered a case online it was showing to be available $100. The order was canceled. I will not be refunded for up to 10 days and when I tired to call the store they are not taking phone calls at this location. I call customer service where the lady was nice but no where in the state has an IPhone XS Apple charging case. The website will still let me order again! I have absolutely no confidence in the order process with Best Buy. They will take your money but you may or may not get your product. Will never do business with Best Buy again.
They are renovating right now. Stuff is still there, TVs where moved still in the back, they built a new wall, actually I am a little excited to see what will happen in there.
Terrible location. Item was in stock. Ordered online for in store delivery. Pickup day finally comes. My account changed to “Preparing Order for Pickup Today”, and said that they’d notify me when it’s ready. Awesome. After not hearing from them all day, I called around 5PM to see if they could give me a window of when they may have it ready. I live 1.5 hours away, so if they sent me an “it’s ready!” Email an hour before closing it wouldn’t have done me much good. The woman on the line checked on it for me. She said that it was ready, that it was being shipped to the store. Apparently they waited four days AFTER I had placed my order for the supposedly in stock item before realizing they didn’t have it in stock (or whatever happened), requiring them to order one for the store. She couldn’t tell me when she expected it in store. Not even an estimate. Terrible, poorly managed store. I’ll never shop there again. I’m sure they’ll follow up with a form letter response about how sorry they are, and to please call this number, but I’m not interested. Nothing you can do will fix this. Hope you get shut down for your lack of competence.

Didnt have too great of an experience. The staff for the most part was unhelpful, rude and distracted by their cell phones.. excluding the manager (he was able to get me the refund I needed) however I intended on getting a refund originally on a product taking that refund along with another $600 to purchase a better version.. my all-around experience made me decide to take my money elsewhere.

The sales person I got didnt know anything about fossil watch except the one I previously purchased had something wrong with it couldnt make calls in or out an couldnt hear them hardly .I mentioned galaxy watch he recommended the galaxy active 2 so here we are lets give it a try thanks best buy

My initial visit was good. I was offered assistance immediately. The young man who helped me was helpful, knowledgeable, & very nice.But, at home, when I found there were no instructions for the PRINTER I bought, I tried to call to get someone to talk me through its setup & use. I tried for THREE days to get a LIVE PERSON to speak to, but only sat on HOLD forever every time.It seems I get the same story from everyone else I ask about their experience.I finally found a video on YouTube that a regular made to show how to setup & use the printer I bought. Whew! Thank goodness!This store needs to ANSWER THEIR PHONES when they are transferred (by the recorded voice) to the department we request!

I spent a pretty good amount of money ordering stuff online here it will never happen again I ordered something online it showed as available. I walked in the store I asked if it was ready. Someone named chad came up said he was he was the manager and then item wasnt in stock and i said its clearly says pick up today and he said there is no more im sorry.... I walked over to the ile and WHAT DO YOU KNOW there is about 5 if them there. Chad didnt apologize chad said you know how it be. I said you know a simple im sorry works. Will just do amazon for now on
Who closes at 7pm?? Come on Best Buy! Do Better! As I sat in your parking lot on a Friday evening at 6:58pm ordering what I came for from Amazon (because you were turning people away). At MINIMUM 15 customers were turned away because you were closed. I would say the majority of your customers work a 9-5pm job. This leaves them 2hrs to retrieve their kids get home and get to your store! Not to mention the rural communities in our area in which it will take 30-45min travel time (especially at 5pm!)... Anywho, google wanted my opinion. There ya have it.
We like Best Buy well enough, and were happy that theyre allowing in store shopping now, but two things were lacking. We were looking for a Blue Ray DVD player and there wasnt much of a selection. The second thing? The entire time we were in the store not a single employee offered to help or asked if we needed assistance. Customer service is just as important as inventory but this store was lacking both.
Could not find anyone to help me. Was told a general area to look for what I was needing by 2 different employees. The second one just stood there talking to another employee watching me walk in circles. There was very little stock on the shelves. Could not find what I was looking for. Left and went to Office Supply and got what I needed.

This place is a nightmare, I do not recommend this store. I bought a TV it gets delivered and the screen was shadered. I call, cannot reach store, deal with customer service, spent 4 hrs and then get disconnected, call back try to give the code given to me and no one could help me. This is a hell store to work with. My recommendation, there are many stores that have the same items as this crappie store.

We had an issue with our new TV and due to quarantine from Covid we went past our return date.... Best Buy extended our date, picked up our defective TV and delivered our new replacement. This is just another reason we always shop at this location. The staff is always helpful, available and go beyond in Customer Service! Thank you Best Buy staff!
Takes to long for deliveries. They need to get more help. Nothing is in the store. When they actually come it doesn’t take that long to setup the tv...etc. I know BB could do better if they wanted to.

We drove from Boone to Hickory to buy a Blue Ray DVD player and were surprised by how few they had in stock. Not sure if thats indicative of the market, covid, or lack of popularity of the item. We found an LG model that we purchased at a reasonable price so we left happy. The biggest drawback to the visit was we saw no employees in the sections we visited, and no one offered to help. I think that needs to be worked on.

They were the only place that had The Oculus VR set in stores! But there store wasnt to clean there was trash on the floor and the carpet wasnt clean .

I have to go back to Best Buy one more time ( to return items I was sold by a salesperson obviously not well equipped to do his job) and thats it. No need for me to darken their door again. I did not run into one single person who seemed happy with their job. Might as well purchase from a warehouse or online and learn about the product through other sources because theres no help there. My experience was in the Hickory, NC location. In all fairness maybe other locations are better but Ill not be back in the Hickory store. Absolute joke and they must be taking customer service courses from AT&T. My most pleasant experience with them will be returning my items today. (Well, writing this review was kind of fun too). What a joke

I made an appointment to repair my cell phone online. I called ahead of time to see if they really had the battery to put in my phone. I was on hold listening to the music for 1 hour and 8 minutes. The time for my appointment came so I drove 35 miles to Hickory all the while waiting on the phone. I arrived at the store and went to the appointment still waiting on the phone. THEY DID NOT HAVE THE BATTERY. Also they said they don’t have a phone at the store. Totally unacceptable.
Look Im addicted to tech and bestbuy store pickup is great for me because I currently cant get things mailed to my address. what can I say? This is my preferred tech store over amazon, walmart, and even newegg (after they changed ownership) and I like not having to worry if my items are going to be stolen or lost in-route with store pickup too. no cap

Its a great place to buy most of my tech needs and wants. The customer service is fast and helpful. I would recommend. The only downfall, is the computer parts selection is pretty slim. So you will have yo check online first to see if they have any in-stock before you head out that way.

Curbside pickup for my online order was fantastic. Didnt need to go into the store. An employee came over to my car faster than me bringing up the app to start the pickup process. My items were delivered to my car in less than a minute. Excellent service!

I went to buy a 50 tv. I picked out 3 different models they had on display. All 3 were either discontinued or out of stock. I asked about buying one of the displays and was told they didnt come with anything but what I saw and wasnt offered a discount. I had bought my last 2 tvs from the hickory store. They lost this customer for good thanks to Amazon.

It was horrible customers service. Everyone setting around talking there were a few blue shirts helping people but any other color shirt was just sitting around talking. I asked for help which a lady (blue shirt)directed me to the part of the store I needed to be at and said that she would have someone come help me no one never came and there where employees right in front of me but never asked did I need any help. I sat there at least for 10 to 15 minutes which then I decided to look for myself. There needs to be a balance between who helps who. I do know everyone is not knowledgeable on everything in the store but at the same time I feel they could at least ask to see if they can help out. Going to give a five star cause I know how this survey thing works not here to bash you just letting you know. Hope yall improve on your customer service.

Horrible customer service. I was going to spend a big chunk of money here to buy a washer and dryer set. I’ve called twice to make sure the particular model is there and can be picked up today. I’ve been on hold for over half an hour. I’m filing a complaint with corporate. Even Walmart and Target answers their phones and they are MUCH busier in general. So sad. A live person to provide customer service is the face of your company. Even if it’s a voice over the phone. We’ll be taking our business to another company.

Staff were friendly and courteous. They had the products that I was looking for. And the thing I liked best was the fact that sales staff were helpful and not pushy about warranties or different / extra stuff that we didnt need. I would give the Gastonia store more than 5 Stars if it would let me.

Window shop, that’s all you need to do here. $1700 for a brand new LG fridge plus purchased the extended warranty. Fridge has been owned 2 years, was fixed 3 times in the first year and now that it has completely broke again no one is willing to help. It is still under warranty, repair was scheduled for last Monday and no one showed up or even called to reschedule. Spent an hour and a half on hold for the call to disconnect and then people in the store saying it’s not their job. Even had a Facebook message with Best Buy and when the rep was told I wasn’t trying to buy something but trying to get in contact with someone directly in home office with customer service the response was “okay” and nothing else was said! If you sell a product you need to take responsibility for assisting in getting a problem resolved. 6 people in the home including 2 children and have now been without a fridge for a week and a half. I will never purchase another thing from Best Buy. They need to do a lot better than this! And yes we are still without a working fridge, using coolers and ice to keep the necessities cold, and still without an idea of when someone is going to uphold their end and get this taken care of! It’s a shame this is what you get, this is the customer service you receive, when you purchase an appliance from Best Buy!

Was not happy with being ignored by several staff members. The store is well organized like every where else out of stock on demand items.
I brought my HP Envy laptop in for a repair. The left side of the finger mouse pad is depressed and won’t spring back up. This is the 2nd time this has happened. I have to say everything is going faster this time than before in December 2020 with COVID at an all time high. I didn’t get any updates or communication at all and this time I instantly got emails and updates about my laptop being sent off fir the repair. The repair experience is much better now. I also learned that my extended warranty purchase has a $1000 or so limit as to what they’ll pay for repairs. They’re not gonna put a lot of money into a dud. I don’t blame them, I just wish I had known that before.
