I’ve been coming here for years and the guys are kind, the breakfasts are great and I often succumb to my sweet tooth (individual portion fruit tartlets, cookies, gelato). This morning I had my usual double latte and their delicious green omelette (spinach, avo). I particularly like coming during quieter times, and their little courtyard is a nice place to sit outside! Highly recommend them.

Its a great Italian restaurant with great selection of dessert and bakery items. Perfectly located in the heart of Half-moon bay. Lemon Tart is one of the must try. we tried couple of other dessert items and we loved each one of them. Tiramisu pastry is also good choice, loved the food.

I believe my pictures will speak for themselves. Not only is there a sandwich is extremely disappointing therefore lacking flavor but the fact that they believe they can sell you a so-called sandwich with basically minimal ingredients between the pieces of bread is ridiculous I paid $11 for two pieces of bread a piece of lettuce some extremely thin slices of tomato and what you could barely call a piece of turkey

Nice little cafe. Enjoyed a latte and a croissant along my biking trail. Warm service. Nice patio that gets plenty of sunlight. Will return!

I got a chai latte and a cookies and cream gelato so to balance the hot and cold. Both were amazing! The chai latte wasnt too sweet. The one scoop of gelato was enough for me. They had a lot of pastries and other items I really wanted to try. Itll have to be until next time!

Delicious coffee which is presented with a beautiful heart on it. And desserts are also amazing!

Great place to sit down have a coffee and be amazed by how beautiful it looks when they bring it to you. I think it family owned. They were very nice. They also do a great job keeping customers safe during this Covid-19 era.

Honestly, had no intentions of eating here until they required that you order food here or from the food truck before entering Hop Dogma. Love supporting one another though!The cheesecake was amazing! The people next to me were also raving about the dish they ordered (sorry, the dish isn’t coming to mind currently).

The cafe has a variety of choices for breakfast. Their veggie omlette was delicious, the hot chocolate decadent and not too sweet. Mostly appreciated the service we got during our visit there.

Friends quiet patio dining during COVID. I really enjoyed it. Plenty of public parking too.

My ham & cheese w/fried egg on croissant no complaints. Friend said good option is bacon instead of ham. The Ceasars salad barebones. What I expect; crumbled hard boiled egg, anchovy option, more generous grated cheese.

Your ultimate breakfast place. I had breakfast here after long walk on the coastal trail. The breakfast was great, and the coffee was superb - a real Italian espresso☕. I ordered the savory crepe and I loved it. The brownie was not that good

Chill spot near the Harbor Village. 5-10 minute walk to the water, close to parking, plenty of food and coffee and even ice cream- will come here again.

Food was good, however I found it a little overpriced for the dishes they offer. Bill was $77 for breakfast for 4 people. Service was quick and very efficient.

Standard Cafe, food ordered at counter. While they specifically say they are not gluten-free, you can get a breakfast plate without bread and it will be gluten-free.The omelet was good and so were the hash browns. Service was ok, and so was the ambience. Good if you want something quick and easy.

Staff is always friendly. Coffee is excellent. Pastries are scrumptious. Gelato is available as well. They have been open during pandemic as local ordinance allows.

My wife, my mother in law, and I stopped by during our Big Sur trip. Great cappuccino, omeletes, and pastries. Staff was very nice.

Very overpriced place with small small selection, but orange juice was freshly squeezed and service is nice. Great location close by a hotel on a shore but considering looks cheap for this type of a location.

Nice atmosphere. Had a Ham & Swiss croissant with eggs over (very) easy. The croissant was buttery & crispy and the ham & cheese was warm and melted. The eggs were not great - crispy and solid on the bottom & runny on the top.

The staff are friendly and the space is cute. We has the quiche and loved it. Also the frittata but it was dry. The greens that came with both were fresh and a good balance flavor wise. The coffee was fine.

My favorite place for “sweet treats” in Half Moon Bay – very decent variety of pastries and home-made Gelato. Seems like run by nice family and I’ve been coming here for years, they always been very nice to me and my guests. For cookie lovers – try their “Coconut Oatmeal Cookie” – thank me later ;-)

Lovely cafe with brunch items as well as sandwiches and salads. We tried coffee and two pastries and liked the experience. Chai tea latte was not too sweet and smooth. The environment is lively. You may also find some Italian items interesting to purchase such as olive oil.

Small but well rounded menu for a quick breakfast, snack or lunch. They have omelette, pancakes, salads, and sandwiches. Very nice pastry and dessert selection. A really nice selection of gelato. Both of which were a surprise. Menu is up on the wall behind the counter. You order at the counter and pay before you find a table. Prices as compared to other local places is affordable. Service was quick and friendly. Pancakes were good. They more closely resemble a crepe batter so they werent puffy. But they were delicious. You get three pancakes with an order and a small bowl of fruit. The syrup was plentiful but they were skimpy on the butter. The bacon was perfectly cooked and you get four pieces in one side order. The orange juice was fresh pressed. The raspberry mocha was delicious. There is both an indoor and outdoor seating area. It is very conveniently right off highway 1, and has lots of parking. There is no view of the water. Now that I know about the great desserts and gelato, I will definitely be going back.

Was looking for a spot in Half Moon Bay that might have good espresso and breakfast. This isnt it. Its really just like one of the delis you find on every New York Street corner. No attention to quality. Hard over-easy eggs and hash browns that i suspect came out of a packet.

We only had Espresso and Hot Chocolate, but it tasted really great. Service was perfect and the cakes and ice cream looked soo delicious...Well definitely come again!

Really good local coffee shop. I am from France and they have croissants that are the closest to french croissants I have had in the USA so far and believe me I have tried a lot. Their latte is good as well as other pastries. Tasty gelato and good service. Recommend for breakfast or lunch if you are in the area.

Pluses - lovely setting, good fresh food, great table service. Minuses - the hostess was unfriendly and unavailable. And the calamari was underdone.

The food was fabulous. It was a bustling little cafe at 10:30/11 am. They had omelets, sandwhiches, espresso, and amazing looking desserts. Would definitely go there again.

The quality and flavor are unsurpassed but the portion sizes are a little small. We had 2 different paninis and 2 different desserts and I honestly think they were the best paninis Ive ever had. I just wish they came with more meat. The deserts are good but not great.

It was very good we did everything that was on the menu but it was very good I give it a four star I like the bread pudding and my wife love the peanut butter chocolate chip cookie and the coffee was delicious

Really a sweet little place to get out of the rain. There were 4 tables of chess play going on when we were there, and the food was tasty.

Great desserts. The cakes and Gelato are so tasty. The passion fruit sorbet has great flavor, the sweet and tangy flavor makes it really well balanced.

Nice and clean, ample seating and everything seems to be done with care for the details.

Although a bit on the expensive side, Mezza Lunas extension on the other side of the harbor is just as good. The gelato is one of its main attractions, with many great flavors like pistachio, sweet cream, and caramel. I havent actually ordered off their menu for food, but the pastries are amazing, made fresh every day. The outside seating is a bit on the small side, but is open, and has great views if the scenic harbor.

This is a wonderful place to start your morning while in Half Moon Bay. If you are staying at the Oceano Hotel you are able to walk through a covered mall walk way that has cute stores, a gym, salon a brewery. Then you get to Mezzaluna cafe it is quaint cafe with the scent of a morning coffee in the air. It has loads of options for breakfast and coffee/tea choices. I especially enjoy the bagel and lox’s. The bacon breakfast is also very good. The cappuccino’s, chai, and espresso welcome a good day in this amazing part of the world. The staff are friendly and go out of their way. Lots of locals also are there to support. There is also lots of baked sweets, gelato, and beer/wine. For lunch there are delicious Sandwiches, Pizza’s, and salads. It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It is a winner in my view.

We were visiting Half Moon Bay. Café Mezza Luna is a little, very authentic Italian presso with amazing gelato - try the hazelnut (Nutella) and the passion fruit - as well as amusing coffee and true Italian atmosphere. The pastries were out of this world! The Nutella cookie and the chocolate topped meringues were outstanding!
