The owner is my buddy from way back when the original MidK was at the old welfare office/ Montgomery Wards on Garfield and Killingsworth. He is so cool. Makes sure he orders things u request. He is very polite and every year he hands out New Years goodie bags full of haircare goodies.

Its different from Sallys but has some fun hair ornaments...beads, etc. I got what I needed at a good price.

I want to like this Mid k for its conveniency, but they don’t carry very many of the products that the two in NE Portland carry. To be honest, I wouldn’t be upset if this bootleg Mid-K closed and a REAL Mid K reopened. I hope they figure it out real soon. 💯

Got charged for an item I didn’t get and when I looked at the receipt and told the woman she double charged me, she asked for my card to refund and ended up charging it again. Got charged 3x the price for one thing. If I ever go back it’ll only be with cash most definitely

I love this place they have what you need just beware of the small parking spaces. The last time I was there me 🚗 got scratched. A man in a city 🚚 parked in a small space backed out ANNNND THERE YOU GO! Try the other stores, they have better parking.

Im really surprised to see negative reviews on this location. Ive had bad experiences at the other locations such as being followed or not getting assistance but Ive had nothing but positive experience from THIS location. I love to switch up my hairstyle and recently moved to this area so I visit this Mid-K frequently. When I enter Im always greeted. If I need help theres usually somone at the cash register or in the back by the wigs. Ive returned and exchanged products & hair here without any problems. Yes there is a women that some times works that doesnt speak fluent English but she tries and has always been sweet to me. I like this mid k the best, the other locations believe everyone is trying to steal or try to rush you out the store. At THIS location is can take my time and relax before I purchase.

I went to this store last week and purchased 2 packs of remi hair... 14.. color 613. The price was 139.99. I needed a total of 3 packs. I had to wait a week for them to order more of this brand. I went back to purchase the 3rd pack and the Man that works there told me the price was now 200.00 for a pack of 14 hair. I told him I was just here last week and bought it for 139.99 he said he didnt care the price is now 200.00. I told him no way was I paying that much if he wants to keep me as a customer he would have to sell it for the same price. He refused and told me he doesnt need me as a customer. I cant believe how rude they are. I would not recommend this store to anyone!! I will go back to the Mid K on Fremont. They are very nice there and have honest prices. I tried to find a store closer to me but I would rather drive the extra distance then deal with dishonest people.

Options are plenty. I wasnt disappointed with selection at all but I was in store for quite a bit at one point I was only person in store and with 2 employees neither of them asked if I needed anything. On check out I dont think the woman even looked at me directly.

Rude owners they know nothing about black hair they lie to you on the phone so that youll come in and Im pretty sure they resell used returned wigs. Just go to the one on MLK

This really deserves 0 starts. No one here even speaks Englsh! I came in with my credit card that has a signature on the back and she told me ID was required and refused to allow me to purchase my items. I will never come back. They also lack all popular brands like Outre and Model Model. I will go to the Portland location and shop online from now on.

I HATE this mid-k. It’s ran by another race besides African-American and they don’t know anything about their stock. I also wanted to search for wigs and I was being followed throughout the store. Mind you NO ONE was there but me. I was the only customer. She also limited me to 3 try ons. Then, when I paid card, they asked for ID. My purchase was DEBIT and was less than $30. I’ve never been treated like this. This is the only location that acts this way. I’d rather drive to NE Portland.

I go to that mid-k because it is closer to where i live, but this mid-k in gresham on burside, they do not have clip on earings like mid-k on mlk, they dont have all the face powders like mid-k on mlk!💜 I like to shop at places where your satisfied with different Items to offer!💜 I like zuri face powder and they dont have it!💜 I dont really feel satified going there, because like i said they dont have certain products!💜 It really would be nice if they get them certain items, because people really buy them!💜 its times where i dont really want to go way on the other side of town to get these certain items, thank you for letting me share this!💜😕

The lady that works in their is very rude, never greats customers nor make customers feel welcome. Most companies goal is to make there customers come back, not chase them away? Change your attitude towards us as customers, what you putout makes YOUR BUSINESS LOOK BAD! Stop being all about the money and build a respectful relationship with your customers you may see more.

They followed me around like a suspect, never asked if I needed help. I got help from one gal who was nice but didnt seem to grasp what I was hoping to find, but she did tell me about the wig sale. The wig gal took her time which was nice, she was very patient trying to determine my first wig the gal was great but took the wrong wig up to the front and I didnt really pay attention until I got home, it was the wrong wig and there are no returns of course

First of all my sister bought a perm kit and found out it was old and don’t work, and they refused to refund the money. Be careful and make sure the product looks fresh whatever you buy.

Bought hair extensions for $150, didnt use it, the guy opened it to show me it, and I never used it. I thought I might need some for my wedding, tried to return it and those rude miserable disgrace of a human being, said they cant return it because it was opened, even though he did, which he then started denieing it, and it doesnt even say anything about returning opened package on their return policy.

Do NOT go here. Theyre so rude and dishonest with their pricing. I went to get a wig cap and it was $5 and when I came back to get the same one it was $20. Also they dont even know about their products at all, they just kind of nod.
