My mom bought and paid fur a refrigerator in March. After sever calls and delivery dates it finally was delivered LATE July. After installation the freezer works but not the refrigerator portion.Luckily they sent a “service” man out this morning. Guess what “ it’s 78 degrees in there and not working “ per the repairman??I would just like a refund and we will go elsewhere.

Great store, great people, and even better prices! I have learned the hard way to always check the Hometown store before I go to Lowes or Home Depot, 99% of the time theyre going to be cheaper! On top of that, theyre customer service is the best of the best. Getting help is always quick and easy. Id much rather deal with local people who are going to remember my face, and value me as a customer, rather than deal with the big box stores. Thank you for the great customer service guys and keep up the good work!!! Youve got a lifelong customer here!

Terrible in every way. I purchased a washer and dryer on a Monday to be delivered on Thursday of the same week. The process took longer than it should have because of the computer system. I verbally gave my information four times, in addition to the clerk having my license. Thursday comes and I call them to inquire about a more precise delivery time only to be told that they left me a message about not coming due to rain. I never received a message. I was told they would come the next day and it was narrowed down to a one hour window. I took the following day off and when the window of time in which they were supposed to be there passed, I called the store. I was told that they attempted to deliver earlier and they dont know how they got my Mother-in Laws address. I dont have a MIL and havent for ten years. These people cant even get correct information after being told four times and holding my drivers license. So, they leave the wrong house, never call me (because they cant take down the correct phone number), and take my washer and dryer back to Greenwood and the driver goes home for the day. Then, Im told that they can bring it the following week one day. Not happening. I got a washer and dryer elsewhere that same day and had it delivered the following day. I got a refund from this joke of a store but have yet to be refunded the separate amount that I had to pay for a delivery that I never received. I was told the owner would have to handle that but of course, it hasnt happened. Do not buy from this store unless you want a huge hassle.

Im shocked. Thats the only thing I can think of to say. I ordered a vacuum for a store pickup online. I get a call from the store, and the lady immediately asked me if I ordered a vacuum. No hello, no explaining who was calling me. I said yes, and she tells me they have none in stock and it has been cancelled. She immediately asks me where my area code on my phone number is- like its a problem my area code isnt in SC. I explained where it was from and that I live in the area now. I asked if I will be reimbursed the money and she told me I had to check.. like this was my problem that I had ordered a item from their website. To top it all of she just hung up on me without saying goodbye. Rudest customer service I have ever experienced! Who talks like that on the phone?!?! Trying to decide whether I should call corporate.

Wonderful staff. Bought a refrigerator and dishwasher. Prices were excellent. They delivered to my house and installed quickly and professionally. The installers were very knowledgeable and efficient and did a perfect job. Highly recommend if you need any appliances.

They were very helpful and very much appreciated. Their products have something most big box stores just dont have. QUALITY ! My last Kenmore Microwave lasted 18 years, my brother had bought 3 from Big Box during that time and they were all junk. When mine finally quit, I did not hesitate to go back to Sears Hometown. Spent $2,000 on washer, dryer, dish washer and grill at Greenwood, SC store. Waited 2 weeks for delivery and installation. Called the store 5 times about delivery on that day. Store kept saying on the way. Owner shows up with delivery at 6 pm. My new appliances were delivered on an old pull behind trailer. Owner said he would have a plumber friend call me about installing dishwasher. 3 days later, no call. Paid someone else to install. Horrible customer service for someone who just dropped a good chunk of change with Sears Hometown Stores. Youve just lost a lifetime Sears customer, due to poor customer service. I will need to replace a refrigerator and stove soon, but will take my business elsewhere.

The staff at this store are fantastic! John, who I believe is the owner, went above and beyond for me and my family! Our fridge we bought from home depot went out and they would not help us. I went to Sears and John made sure I was taken care of right away and even discounted my delivery! Thank you John. You have earned a customer for life!

I would not give this store even 1 star but couldnt give a review without at least one star. Worse store in Greenwood, S.C. went in to purchase a push lawnmower that was on their site and you would have thought I was speaking french. Very rude and did not try to help at all unless you call taking my cell phone out of my hand to look at what I had pulled up. Im 72 years old and if I cussed I would have. Dont give them your business

This place is a joke, purchased a refrigerator was delivered damaged black stainless with dents in the door. Manager John lied to us on several occasions stating a new door was ordered, needless to say absolutely nothing was ever done about it. Also received the cold shoulder when we purchased the refrigerator because we declined the $600.00 warrenty. We tried contacting Sears directly and was told they cant do anything about it because it was purchased at a sears hometown store, something you might want to take into consideration when purchasing, if you have any issues Sears will not back you up.

I just want to let prospective appliance buyers know that it took nearly 30 days to get Sears Home Services to repair my Kenmore Elite refrigerator. It involved many calls to operator overseas, seemingly hours on hold, several cancelled appointments,unproductive email chats, etc. Except for John Richey, who was good enough to come out and diagnose our problem, the hometown store was either unable or unwilling to help us get this repaired. Had to buy a new refrigerator........Buyer beware!

Very poor customer service. Absolutely no desire to assist me with belts for my Craftsman mower. It seems if youre buying new products the owner gets out of his chair. You need service too bad. I walked in with a belt for my zero turn purcached there and with out even touching in or asking what it was for he said sorry I dont have one. My question is how would he know when I had it rolled up and tied off in my hand 20 away from him? No numbers visible period.

I have had very positive experiences at the Sears Hometown Store in Greenwoood. Pat took the time to research my riding mower to find the right bagger. He knows a great deal about the products including appliances. I have made 3 significant purchases at his store. Very positive experiences and great prices!

Dont order off line and have it delivered to this store you will not get it on time. Called early to see what time my patio set would arrive. The lady said they had one coming on the truck and she would call me back. Well never got the call so I called back to find out that it wasnt on the truck.. I see why they are going out of business..

Recently our dishwasher died while we had guests. We decided to get a Samsung black stainless model to match our recent refrigerator purchase. The Lowes saleswoman was not helpful and quoted 1-2 delivery. So we searched other local options and found this store. They had what we wanted as a display model which they were able and willing to install late the same afternoon. Bought it on the spot. Delivered and installed as promised. Enough said.

I bought a Kenmore Elite Black Stainless Steel refrigerator and dishwasher from Sears. The Sales Rep was very helpful. One year after i bought the appliances, the Black on the Stainless has started peeling off of both appliances. I didnt know it could peel. When i called the store they gave me a 1-800 number to call which happens to be in Manilla( Philippines) which i thought was bad having to call another country for service. But i think most everything now, you have to call to another country and not the store itself. Since my warranty just ran out a little over 1 yr. they would not make it good by either fixing or replacing free of charge. I would have to pay. I explained that it must be defective that the appliances i bought cost a lot of money and they should not have started peeling. I asked to speak to the ladies Customer Service Mgr (Vergel) so she put me on hold and then came back and said he wasnt taking calls at this time. Really???? Customer Service not taking calls ?? As for the store here in Greenwood, the Salesman was very good, but if you have any issues with your appliances just be aware you may not get the service you need and if you are looking for Black Stainless Steel appliances check it out before you buy. Not sure if it is just Kenmore with the issue or not. One last thing, they didnt have the stove to match because it wasnt on the market yet but told me they would get it in last July but it never came in so i had to go to Lowes and buy an LG Black Stainless Steel. The finish on it is still like new. Not sure the difference in the two appliances but please be aware when buying

I purchased a refrigerator and the owner delivered it. No experience of delivering appliances. He scratched my hardwood floors and several other things. Sears is sending a repairman to fix ymthe frost build up in the bottom freezer.
