Waking up knowing you can just walk downtown for the best croissant in the morning is amazing. The service and atmosphere is just marvelous. The cappuccino to die for. The manager Bobby is always friendly and makes you feel like you part of the family. It’s such a delight to enjoy a cup of coffee and a savory croissant. There is so much to choose from. You will love ❤️ ❤️And you will enjoy ❤️☕️☕️☕️☕️

There really weren’t that many options I was surprised. Not really out of this world impressed. But the coffee and cupcakes 🧁 were good. My husband being Swiss & his sister and I both agreed the bakery is definitely an American imitation of European desserts. In Europe especially Switzerland the desserts are not so overly sweet but otherwise for being an American imitation it was still good but definitely not even close to the real thing.

We worked with Old Europe for our wedding cake and dessert bar and I can’t recommend them enough. Bobby was a joy to work with - making himself available to work through options and Ruth was a visionary who helped bring the desserts to life.Old Europe made a delicious three tier wedding cake for us and a spread of European desserts for our guests. My family (mostly from Europe) were amazed at how delicious and authentic everything tasted. They were accommodating, professional and I would recommend them to anyone getting married in the area. Can’t wait to order anniversary desserts from Old Europe for years to come.

I went here after getting out of summer camp @the governor school. The whole week i was anticipating going on Friday after my performance but the plans got switched because of the rain. Old Europe has a beautiful atmosphere and the employees were very helpful. I got the tiramisu + chai latte and my Mom and sister got a latte, espresso, coconut cake, and strawberry mousse cake. I wasn’t obsessed with the tiramisu - it was a little to wet and milky. The other two cakes where very good though! 😊👍I would definitely recommend you to check it out!

I absolutely love this place. After living in Texas in search of someplace as wonderful as this. In addition I’m very spoiled since I am an East coast girl, I decided to stroll the West End casually and found this awesome sweet treat place. It was hard to decide, but chose the creme bruelee. I dined outside to enjoy the beautiful evening. I struck up a conversation with a very nice couple. To my surprise, I met the owner Bobby. I told him that his place reminded me of the patisseries in Provence France. Wow! Will go back in a heartbeat. I want to taste everything. 🤗❤️

Cute shop and convenient location. Friendly employees. The desserts our party got were hit and miss, so choose with care. My French creamy and lemon shortbread cookie were excellent. However, my husbands bourbon pecan pie was soggy and clearly not fresh at all. My sons strawberry mousse cake was mediocre. The mousse was decent but the cake was simultaneously dry texture but soggy from the mousse. The latte had good flavor but was 85% foam. It looked like it had a lot of potential and we loved that it was open late enough to stop in after dinner - but, overall, there are just too many other excellent options in Greenville and I would suggest a different dessert choice than Old Europe.

I’m always on the hunt for good macarons, so when I was in downtown Greenville I went to check out Old Europe. The macarons were just meh. They didn’t taste fresh and were really chewy. The flavors didn’t have much depth, either. They tasted like okay cookies, but not good macarons. The associate was friendly, but the place didn’t have much of an atmosphere to merit spending a considerable amount of time there. The macaron hunt continues!

This place is perfect for after dinner dessert and beverages. They use mighty leaf tea, which is very high quality, and have good coffee drinks. So so so great! For a gluten free person dessert is often challenging. Not only do they have 3 choices for me to pick from, the absolute best tasting dessert Ive ever had is their opera cake! This space had a great location and outdoor seating which was nice but the desserts we tried were not good. Unfortunately we did not finish any of them. We tried the cream brûlée, carrot cake and peaches and cream cake. They were okay but not amazing. The carrot cake had a jello like consistency with the icing. Did not try the coffee although it smelled really good. They also had tons of signs about wearing your mask and were a bit over the top with it

Old Europe is by far my favorite coffee shop!Back in December of 2020, I was tempted inside by the beautiful classical music I heard emanating from within, and now Im a faithful customer.I stop by the shop at least 2-3 times a week and know most all of the employees by name, theyre very kind and courteous. The coffee/tea selection is varied and affordable. However, If I had to give one downside I would say its the price of their pastries.Theyre fairly expensive.Although I imagine this is due to Old Europes location on Main Street. Theyve got to pay the bills somehow right? Conclusion:If youve got a little extra money and want to treat yourself then I highly recommend that you stop in and have yourself a good time.Who knows? Very high quality European style pastries! I tried hazelnut napoleon and my husband tried chocolate bourbon pecan pie. Both are to die for!!! I love their unique twist too. Original Napoleon is usually made with layers of pie sheet and custard/Bavarian cream, but they used hazelnut ganashe instead. I tasted distinct hazelnut flavor in the ganache and both flavors were well balanced! As for the pecan pie, the infusion of bourbon, chocolate, and pecan are mind blowing!!! It is one step up from family friendly regular pecan pie to adult pecan pie. Both are MUST try! Price of pastries are higher end, but its worth it. I am definitely going back to try rest of pastries!!! ❤️

85¢ for alternative milk and $1.00 for a flavor 😅. Even Starbucks only charges 60¢ for flavor. The alternative milk price? I’ve seen at other places, and I can somewhat understand. But, the syrup cost is insane. First of all, I have never seen the price of syrup out weigh the price of an alternative milk-anywhere. A bottle of syrup at best costs $12 and has about ~25oz. I googled that a pump of syrup is about a third of an ounce. So if you get 3 pumps, that’s only ounce which means they are at least making 24-25$ off of the bottle of syrup, at least DOUBLE it’s original price. I know my point is drawn out, but think about the fact that you are getting charged a dollar for a tiny 1 oz puddle of flavor for your latte.

I got the chai latte and tiramisu. The chai was robust and spicy and not sickly sweet👍 Why 85 cent for plant milk? I am so tired of the overpriced plant based options. The tiramisu was highly disappointing. The espresso was much too intense. I am not exaggerating when I say the tiramisu taste like literal vomit. My friend tried it and said the exact same. It taste spoiled and of cottage cheese. When I tried to return it the next day with the receipt, it was unnecessarily long process. I told them I didnt like the taste. They had to go to the back and confirm if they could refund me. They came back and said “If there was nothing wrong with it, then we can’t refund you.” I told them in the beginning that I didn’t like the taste and I added on saying it taste like literal vomit. I was told refunds are only valid on the day of the purchase. I asked for a replacement item which they complied to.
