My mother went to get her brakes replaced and they quoted her over $1100 . I took a look at the invoice and they were charging her the ultra premium price on ALL 4 tires . Today, I took her car somewhere else and quoted us $429 for the two back brakes AND a 1 year warranty. The front brakes were absolutely fine and didn’t need to be replaced at all. In my opinion, I felt like this place tried to rip my mom off to get more money from her when they didn’t have to add all that extra stuff when it wasn’t needed. Especially, since the front brakes were fine.

I called 2 weeks ago to receive a quote about some subframe work on my car. I was quoted a price. Once I got all of the money together that I was quoted to pay for the job, I called back. I was told by Steven that they don’t do subframe work at all! I then asked my mother to call to see if she received the same response. Steven went on to tell my mother they do subframe work and that his brother passed in June and was catching up on work (which I understand) but why wasn’t I informed of that? Furthermore he was Veeeery hostile when he spoke to my mother and was explaining the situation. Needless to say I didn’t take my car there but I thought someone should know about the lack of customer service and I honestly feel like it’s because I’m black.

I have lived in Greensboro for over 20 years now, but previously used only dealers for all of my car service work. I walked into this place for an inspection and they tried to quote me for $1600 worth of “safety” fixes needed in order to pass inspection. Took it to another place the same day and they passed me with no issues. Women be warned.

My experience with this place has by far been the most awful auto experience I have ever encountered. I took my Chevrolet Impala 2008 to them to get one thing fixed and ended up having my sister leave with the car worse off. This place is very unprofessional and does not commit to solving the issue. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking to get their car fixed accurately so with that being said I give this place 0 stars if I had that option..I will be posting this review on Facebook and other social media outlets

The gang at battleground tire will do their best to help you. Theyve never tried to force or recommend repairs that werent warranted. Often, they do the opposite letting you know what is worth doing, and what is not. Never had an issue where we had to return for unsatisfactory work. Been going here for 10 years, and have no plans on changing.

$977.77 for all four brake pads and rotors! I get that they need to make some money on parts, $582.04. It’s the $318 for labor that I’m having a hard time swallowing. I’m sure they do quality work, but I was there for about an hour. I should have refused and shopped around but I felt like I was over the barrel on this one, I want my family to be in a safe vehicle. The gentleman that helped me was very nice and courteous and I’m not doubting the quality of workmanship but $300 an hour for labor is outrageous. This was my first time here and I must say I’d be hesitant to come back.

Stopped in with a surprise flat tire first thing in the morning. They were very nice and helpful, fixed my tire, and had me on my way in a reasonable amount of time. The price was also reasonable. All in all, it was as good an experience as you can have with a flat tire on the way to work.

If there was more stars I’d give them to the mechanic at battleground tire!! M.r Gardner has acquired by far the best mechanic I’ve ever met, and the only mechanic I can trust. I’ve followed Brian around from shop to shop, he’s a little further away from home now but he’s very worth it! Great experience at battleground tire, nice place and very friendly people. My schedule is crazy so trying to stop in to order tires and set up an appointment is not convenient. It was so simple to order my new tires online, get a quote, schedule the mounting and an alignment all online with email confirmation all along the way. Battleground Tire made it too easy. Good experience from a car place, they arent expensive compared to other places and are very friendly. When you walk in the instantly greet you and give you a run down on what your car needs, check up on how you are doing especially if you decide to wait on your car. Shopping area located directly next to and is located in a really good neighborhood so could easily walk around/get food/shop. They do a really good job looking after your car and get to you asap.

We went in for an issue with windshield wipers, they claim they replaced windshield motor and changed oil, that was over $400. Then a few days later, out of nowhere, the car had issues starting and kept stalling out after several attempts, NEVER HAD THIS ISSUE BEFORE TAKING IT TO THESE PPL, took the car back to be diagnosed, they claim it was a battery issue, MIND YOU WE ALREADY HAD AUTOZONE TEST THIS AND IT WASNT THE BATTERY. The car lights and horn and radio still came on even though it wouldnt start! THEY REPLACE THE BATTERY ANYWAY AND A FEW WIRES, CHARGE US ALMOST $400, WE DRIVE THE CAR A 1/4 MILE, THE CAR SHUTS OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC !! WAS STRANDED ALMOST 2 HRS, HAD CAR TOWED TO FIRESTONE, THEY FIXED THE ISSUE IN 1 HR AND IT WAS $108. WE CALL TO DISPUTE CHARGE, THEY ARE GIVING EXCUSES. THIS WILL BE DISPUTED WITH MY BANK!! STAY AWAY FROM THESE PPL. THEY CLEARLY DIDNT PROPERLY TEST THE CAR OR KNOW WHAT THE HELL THEY WERE DOING!!!!

This is why I go to Battleground Tire. As I know little about cars I need someone I can trust and that is not just after my money. When I was there a few months back another customer came in with a screw in their tire. The mechanic came back to the waiting room and said This is what was in your tire, but it did not puncher through. We preformed a pressure test and it passes just fine and it is safe to drive on without a patch. Customer: What do I owe you? Mechanic: Nothing, we did not put a patch in it. Customer: But you had to test it, and get that out of it, Ive got to owe you something. Mechanic: No, its free.I figured that if they were not trying to get money for something that they could easily justify charging at least $30 to $40 for, and that the customer was wanting to pay for, then they were going to be fair to me too. I have since had three or four things done there with no complaints.

They don’t try to sell you anything you don’t absolutely need, which is rare in a car place. The staff is super friendly and incredibly helpful. I moved away from Greensboro to Mebane and then Raleigh, and I still make the drive out there to get my car serviced because I don’t trust anybody else. Thanks Battleground Tire!

Me and the wife took her car to BT for a check engine light (referred by a family member). They check the car out tell us what it needs we pay the diagnose fee. We don’t have the funds right away to repair it properly so we leave as we’re leaving one of the mechanics(AA guy missing a tooth) starts making very rude comments on how we couldn’t afford to repair our vehicle immediately. As I spoke up And said excuse me, he starts laughing at us very rudely. Very rude and disrespectful employees. The place sounded like a zoo in the work area all mainly from the guy that made the rude comments towards us. We will be taking our vehicle elsewhere for the repairs.

Service was good, and people were friendly. However... too much oil was put in my vehicle, which required me to have to take my vehicle to the dealership. Turned into a $700 oil change at the end of the day.

Tried to royally screw me, smoked in the car, and charged me a diagnostic fee to do basically nothing.I brought my car in for a new tire and some calipers. The tire had a nail in it. They called back recommending two new rear tires (I had just had the other rear tire replaced 6 months ago) because whatever happened to the tire I was having replaced was happening to that one too.Really? A nail was beginning to penetrate it? Lie number 1.Next he said the rotors and pads needed replacing on both sides too. Well, just had those replaced last year, so that was lie number 2.What do they quote me for what should be one brake caliper and one tire? $1300. Absolutely ridiculous.I reluctantly but without complaining pay the $57 diagnostic fee and as theyre taking the car out of the bay the guy has the window down, and every mechanic is smoking right there next to it. Homeboy starts smoking in the car itself as he pulls it back. Absolutely terrible experience. Will never go back there. This is part of the reason mechanics get a bad rap.

Picked this outfit to have a set of new tires and sensors mounted on a new set of rims based on the good reviews. That was a big mistake as the prices I were charged were truly outrageous. More expensive than the (Porsche!) dealership! $270 to have four tires mounted and balanced and they didnt even have to remove the wheels from the vehicle. To top it off they returned my brand new wheels dirty. Stay away as I will.

Dear BATTLEGROUND TIRE INC:I wanted to thank you and your entire team for an excellent job today on repairing my 1955 Chevy Bel Air. This car is a classic, with just more than 40,000 miles showing on the odometer and one that has been taken care of by its previous owners in an obvious way. Having owned the car for about 2 years now, I am very wary of just anyone working on this car. Battleground Tire had done work on a previous older car of mine as well as my pickup truck so I was not hesitant to bring my 55 Chevy in for repairs. Today, the car was brought in for what had appeared in a previous quick inspection to be a wheel seal issue. Upon inspection, it was determined that was not an issue but something was causing the car to pull somewhat severely to the left when the brakes were applied. The mechanic and supervisor proceeded to check out the front brakes and everything appeared okay but we determined to go ahead and repack the front bearings and adjust all the brakes since we were at this point in the inspection. Once put back together, a drive down Battleground determined the pull to the left was still there. The Battleground personnel were all very concerned as to why this was still there as nothing was obvious to the eye causing the problem. It was suggested to bleed the brakes and while doing this, it was determined that “both” front brake lines were faulty and with one line not functioning at all. The new brakes lines were ordered and installed in very little time. After the mechanic did a quick drive around the building to insure things were in order, I took another test drive and the pull to the left was gone. While the car was in the shop, I had also asked for a transmission tail shaft seal to be replaced and that was repaired as well, with no issues.I just had to write and thank you all very much for the work done today on my car. The issue with the front brake lines was unknown. Some shops might have told me they could not determine the issue with the pulling brakes as opposed to your personnel continuing to work with the car to find out what was causing the problem. The due diligence afforded me in correcting this brake condition has prevented what could have been a serious brake failure later. After paying my bill and traveling home, I found that my brakes were so much better than they had ever been, even after having the car thoroughly inspected when I had originally purchased. I am so very much pleased with the work done today and the professionalism displayed by everyone who worked on the car and talked to me about the concerns as the car was repaired. Thank you all very much for a job well done!

Charged me $52 for a diagnostic test that any autoparts store will do for free (because it takes less than 5 minutes). When I mentioned this, they said Yep, even though they didnt say there would be a cost when I left the vehicle for an estimate. The estimate was $630 to change alternator. I took it to another popular mechanic in town who charged $340. Im never going back to Battleground Tire.

Ive been here, treated okay. My wife took here car there, she had a code, they charged 50 dollars to tell her it wasnt her thermostat, but her transmission. She got her transmission rebuilt, however, it threw the same code. I replaced the thermostat today. it was BAD . Guess if youre a woman go someplace else.

I am not at all pleased and will not be returning. Purchased some EXPENSIVE Perrelli tires for my car back in January/February of 2018. It is now November when my tires kept losing air to the point of a flat tire. Returned to the shop ti have them check the tire. Said there was nothing wrong with tire and filled it with air. And charged me labor. Within 2 hours my tire sensor light was back on. Checked the tire pressure and it was back down to 25psi. Returned it back to the shop and they sad since my tire was on welded tire rim it was causing the tire ti go flat. AND charged me again fir labor. Go figure. Have driving it for 9+ months and no issues. They have refused to replace the tire that is still under warrenty. Never again!

Stay Away!!! I went in for an inspection and was told I needed $1,500 in repairs because my car was leaking fluid. I took it somewhere else and they passed it with no problem and reported no leaks. Their reason for failing the inspection was not even part of the inspection process. What they did was basically illegal. BEWARE!!
