Needed some parts for repairing a snowblower. It was 2 minutes before closing time. They knew where the parts were and showed them to me, unlike down the road at Ace Hardware.Always great service here!!!

If you are looking for an honest hardworking business. Paulson Hardware is the place. I brought my lawnmower in to get fixed. They diagnosed what was wrong a head of schedule; the mower was even fixed ahead of schedule. To top things off, the cost they gave me was lower than the estimate they gave me. They are honest, friendly, and do a great job.

Bought a Toro Timemaster 30 walk-behind mower on 7/5/21 from Paulson Hardware which they set up with assembly, oil, and fuel. On 7/7/21 I ran it to mow a 0.39ac lot with house on it; approx 15,000sqft of lawn, not even enough to put any fuel in it since it came with fuel in it from set up. The engine surged at idle after it was warmed up, but the unit cut well. Called Paulson Hardware who told me that the surging was normal. Called Kimps Hardware who said it was not. I brought the machine to Kimps for repair on 7/8/21 thinking it would be under warranty. I did not go to Paulson, the selling store, for service since I anticipated a fight because they had already said the surging was normal. Kimps charged $39 on 7/14/21 for a fuel related repair (cleaned carb) not covered under warranty. Kimps guessed the carb was gummed up from old fuel. I have put zero drops of fuel in the machine as of now, 7/14/21.

They know their stuff! And have owned and managed the store for years. I love being able to call, order and pay for my supplies over the phone, and then I drive up, pop my trunk, and they load it. No contact purchases but helpful and friendly personnel. Have done business with them for over 30 years and will continue to do so.

Went in looking at lawn mowers. Jessica approached us and was able to answer all our questions. She was very friendly and really knew her product line. Excellent customer experience. As a tree service contractor ive about had enough with paulson h.w. They just dont know the stuff you should know when selling powered products. They have gotten chain size wrong multiple times with my chainsaws and now this. I spent 1000ish dollars there and told them to order and charge me for the 24inch bar so my employees could pick it up. Well I was never charged and it was never order. I was told it would be. 2 weeks go by I called and left 2 voice-mails in 2 days. Today, 3 weeks later. I stop in and they dont have record of the purchase and it was never ordered . I asked the lady and she said she remembered the conversation but she did nothing about it but offered me 15$ off the bar. After Ive lost a good chunk of money having a Bar less saw for 3weeks.

Every time I go in there the employees are helpful and friendly. I havent had to return anything yet. They have just about everything that you would need if you are a homeowner for getting stuff done.

Was there today to get a chain and tune up kit for my old chainsaw, they took the time to verify everything was correct for it. The staff was very helpful and selection was very well laid out.

Super friendly and very helpful. Hans spent 45min showing me each chainsaw and explaining all of the options, plus helping me choose the correct saw for my needs. Once the chainsaw was purchased the mechanic there filled up the gas tank with expensive pre-mix gas, then the other tank with bar oil. He then took the saw out back and showed me how to start it/run it, adjust the chain tension, and other general maintenance. A+++++...box stores dont even compare to this kind of service!

Terrible service department and cust service after the sale . Brought in a saw still under warranty told them what the problem was called me back and hadnt even tested for the problem and start not picking other things about the saw saying didnt look like was gonna get warranty coverage. Hadnt even warmed the machine up or checked for what was the actual issue . Guy tells me customers dont have any idea what is wrong with their equipment and well do it how we want this our business . Then they want deposit money so if they tear it all apart and its not warrantied they will charge me all while never even trouble shooting the original issue . Very sad since buck left the service department, been going there for 15 years but no more purchases or service work there ever again Ill gladly drive 20 miles to a more knowledgeable location

I do not recommend this hardware store for services or products. We bought an expensive lawnmower from them and while the lawnmower worked well we were not pleased with customer service the following visits. They do not follow directions and are incapable or admitting that they made a mistake. Overcharging and making excuses for it is no way to run a business. We will not frequent this store again or recommend it to anyone looking to purchase products or have service done. If you decide to use them, make sure you check your bills and get everything you want done in writing so you have proof when they mess up on your requests!

Bad service bought 2 honda generators from them and been years now need service thay will not work on it because I not know the phone number that was used when I bought it thay found 1 of the generators I bought on record never buy from them again I even bought a lawn mower and a chain saw from them bad bad place Kemps in Howard took care of me

Excellent repair on lawn mower.

Walk in the store and there are no customers besides one lady. Lady in front of me stands and waits for the employees to come out from the back after about 3 minutes of no service. Two people are working and I had to wait over a half hour to get service.
