Very nice service very nice Volvo that I bought those guys are the man and they are good very good car place
I was traveling cross country a few weeks ago. Well traveling through Oregon, I had seized AC compressor. Due to the organization of my engine, this resulted in the car failing to start. I called nearly every auto shop in the area and none of them but Revolvo West was able to get me in within a reasonable time.Although Revolvo West was able to get me in and repair my car, I also felt like they charged a premium for this. It ended up costing me nearly $1,100 in repairs and $300 in additional costs due to hotels. Additionally, I was originally quoted for $800, but because the owner did not let me fully explain the problem and what I had noticed, they went down a rabbit hole with the starter, battery, etc. They ended up charging me for the labor costs related to this as well. I would advise caution when using this repair shop. Although you may get the repair needed to get you back on the road, you will pay a premium for it.
Great service! Very Helpful staff! Diagnosed and fixed the issue same day.
Greedy liars. Went to get my headlights fixed, they tried to charge me $120 more than it ever should have been. They Said a part was broken that connects the headlights, and to bring it back in two days when they got the part. They were also trying to replace both sides even though one side worked perfectly fine. I came in with one working headlight, and for some reason they took the one working bulb out. That night I went to drive home from work, which is way up a country road, and neither headlight worked. I had to sleep in my car with no blankets at the job site. After it was “fixed”, my brights no longer worked, and a different mechanic said I have to pay quite a bit to get my high beams working again. They also “fixed” my window which was falling through the door, a week later it broke again and they wanted to charge me full price to fix their mistake. They just jimmy rigged it, they didn’t actually put the new part in that I paid for. A complete joke of a shop
Never returned my phone call with estimate ....very rude
Passing through Grants Pass, the low engine coolant light in my Volvo came on. A quick peek under the car and an internet search convinced me that this was a Serious Problem - 300 miles from home!Okay. Who can help 10 minutes before closing time?Larry at Revolvo West answered the phone and confidently assured me he could and would get me back on the road the following morning.By 1:00 the very next afternoon I was on the road again with a brand new radiator!I could not believe my luck in finding a knowledgeable mechanic with the correct part on hand who was willing to respond to my emergency repair. Equally impressive was the fact that I, just passing through, was not taken advantage of. The repair cost was quite reasonable and could have been a lot higher.Larry makes me want to go back to Grants Pass just fir my regular service - Id be a life long customer!
The mechanics are great. Top of the line service.
As a Mercedes owner Ive done business with Revolvo for many years. I trust Larry, the owner, and his mechanics have never let me down.
Wonderful service!
I will agree with the other reviewer’s on here, Larry will rip you off. He screwed me over so bad on a repair job that I ended up leaving the car with him and giving him the title. He screwed a single parent out of their only means of transportation. What a scum bag.
DO NOT recommend this business to anyone! They are continually over priced, with ALL services. Had them pull a part for my vehicle, and they charged me a whopping $75 more than it was worth. Unfortunately the owner wasnt there in the office to barter with me on the price, he left a lady in his office to do so. Brought my partner in to pick up part, the owner is aware he is a mechanic, and I assume he wasnt in the office because of that reason. Will I ever return to Revolvo West? No, absolutely not. Beyond that pick and pull part, I have been charged quite a lot for jobs that couldve taken less time. My radiator installation costed me around $800. I had my alternator replaced for $600. When my timing belt went out, I called around the area to find the best price on fixing it. Revolvo West was more expensive than a dealership, the timing belt installation was $800, not including the part cost. Went to Rick at AutoPro on Redwood Ave, he fixed it for $280. Not to mention the number of times Ive called to ask for help with certain parts and or advice on whats the most cost effective plan to fix my vehicle. The man who owns this business, Larry, is the stereotypical greedy car guy who is only looking to make a quick buck off your cars issues. I am also a woman, and have taken in men with me just so I do not receive poor and or incorrect treatment due to not being well versed in cars. My current partner is a mechanic, and has expressed to me that every job I had preformed by Revolvo West was over priced and done slowly on purpose. It should not take 8 hours to remove my radiator, I watched my partner do it in a couple hours. I could do it in less time, and I am not skilled in this trade. My anger and frustration towards this business is unending, and every time I go to them for car help I am met with extreme prices and sexist service. Because I am a woman, I am repeatedly screwed by the owner Larry. I would NEVER recommend this business to anyone, ever. Infact if you are looking to get your car worked on by a very kind, generous, dependable person go to AutoPro on Redwood Ave. The man who owns this business is named Rick, and he does wonderful work for a great price. He is NOT looking to screw your pocket, instead is very much aware that cars are expensive and looking to serve your car needs with a high level of consumer consideration. Never will I ever, go to Revolvo West again, and get screwed by greedy business owners. Larry you get so much business, and your hourly rate is $90. Dont you think you would be a bit more generous and kind to your customers, or is it all about making the most money off of desperate people? So, you typically dont respond to reviews, hm. The comment you made about trusting the source is quite rude, as these people do not know me. All of the negative reviews have the exact same response, which is not taking any accountability for attempting to rip people off. Yes, I am young, but well educated and quite experienced in terms of fixing cars. I am dating a mechanic, my step father is a mechanic, and also my two of my brothers fix their own vehicles. Its quite interesting how youve expressed that your customers are intelligent enough to know which source to trust, and yet all of the negative reviews clearly explain why they did not feel your service was adequate for the price and stress it caused them. Now, I understand being a small business owner can be difficult and that you would rely on reviews to help manage the image of your business. So, treating your unhappy customers like theyre are bad sources, because they expressed poor service is a bit ridiculous. On a real note and I might be wrong, that you decided to respond to the negative reviews because it is effecting your business. If your business ethics effect your customers, that is NOT their responsibility, its yours. I am quite irritated by the sheer lack of responsibility on your behalf. Not to mention you refused service to my partner, because of my review, which was honest and well explained. Seems a bit shady to me.
There very easy to work with, considerate and they were punctual.
Always great, fast service. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions you have.
They worked on my toyota 4runner which was having elusive starting issues that no other mechanic was able to figure out. They took time to communicate everything to me. The customer service and work was top notch
Larry (owner) is a good man. He is a professional in every aspect. He pays for all his employees health insurance. You do not see employers of small independent business offering full benefits, anywhere. Kudos to you Larry.
Fine, friendly and dependable.
Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND. Over priced. Faulty installation. Kept trying to tell me multiple things needed to be replaced that were frivolous even though i explained i am a single mother on a budget. I was recommended this place by a friend and I dont get why, probably just because it is the only volvo place in town. I tried them twice to give them the benefit of the doubt. First time they replaced my computer sensor with a faulty used one then wouldnt refund. Since i had the store credit I went back to get road trip ready. Was told i needed to replace my windshield fluid reservoir and thermostat and other small things that added up quick. Now in my road trip my thermostat is constantly reading triple digits. I called and the owner just said must have been installed improperly no apology no nothing. Dont waste your time or money supporting this joke. Two stars is being generous in my opinion.
Larry Kaufmann and Revolvo West saved our trip. Diagnosed our problem, ordered parts and had us on the road in 24 hours. Replaced the water pump, timing belt, flushed and filled our radiator and took care of our cat very quickly, very politely with a very reasonable price. These people are great. Very trustworthy.
I love these guys, most honest auto repair in Grants Pass. Larry and Eric are my guys
These folks were great. My new mechanic place, for sure. Mechanics that dont treat women like idiots are hard to find - those that treat them this well are keepers.
High service quality clear explanation of what is wrong and cost to repair
Love these guys. Excellent service. Have been going here for years. My Volvo always drives like its a brand new car.
Very helpful and incredibly honest people. I am very thankful for their assistance.
These guys are great! I have used them several times over four years and have not been disappointed. They will work with your schedule and do whatever you need while you wait, for the most part. Their prices are fair considering what other Volvo repairers charge but their knowledge and service are top-notch. The first time I visited, I brought them a new part I had bought on the internet for them to install but it didnt fit (my fault!) They found a good used replacement and met my time deadline! I was sold! Each visit is a joy.
This is a reply to Bryan Curtis’s review (see below). I was the owner of the truck that he purchased (it was sold on consignment). The truck was in excellent condition 2004 Ford F250 Super Duty Lariat crew cab. Carfax history based retail value was $20,680.00, so he did not pay too much for the truck. The Carfax report was clean and showed that all required maintenance was completed at the dealer, with the exception of the oil changes. The truck had in fact been sitting on the lot for several months waiting to be sold. But there were no problems with the truck, my primary use for the truck was to tow my boat. We test-drove the truck for approx. 20 miles (about a ½ hour) on the freeway, through the city and country roads. I have been doing business with Revolvo West for about 15 years, and I have nothing but good things to say about this business. I have also referred both friends and family here for their car maintenance needs.
Amazing! Extremely nice and informative. 100% HONEST! Fixed my Audi in record time. Ill be taking all my cars here from now on!
Very nice place to get a diagnosis on my volo. Nice friendly dogs too
I bought a truck off the lot for $14,500. Truck has all kinds of problems. I got totally ripped off!!!I only blame myself for paying too much for the truck. I didn’t look at the value online until after I paid for it.(Big mistake on my part!!). They asked for my debit card to hold it for me so I felt obligated. I paid about two or 3000 more than I should have. That doesn’t include all the money it’s going to cost me to fix the truck I don’t even have that number yet. Like I said I don’t blame them for me over paying but I do blame them for all the other things that I am stating. The truck had been sitting there for several months. I believe they knew of all the problems that It has.If you are having a vehicle worked on here or you are buying one here you are probably getting the shaft and don’t even know it.I should’ve trusted the other bad reviews but he assured me it was a good truck and he’s been there for 20 years so that I could trust him LOL.A friend of mine told me I should’ve went to Copeland’s right down the street! Live and learn!!I could state more on here about some of the shadiness I encountered but it would just go on and on and I don’t think anybody reads all the stuff anyways LOLMy concions Is making me state the following; While I was in the office a customer called in inquiring about their $200 deposit. After the customer hung up, the owner Larry and his wife discussed to just build the bill up higher and show the $200 discount. Who does that and in front of a customer even! Don’t lie steal and cheat it will bite you in the a$$!!!It’s making me give a one star I would give zero if I couldVery shady people, you have been warned!!!
Larry is a very honest business guy, would trust him with any thing. Thanks again!!!
Always a good experience. Quality* Knowledge* Trustworthy
Outstanding customer service and repair for my volvo xc90
The best place to go for your Volvo needs.
The first week of my new ownership of the managers wheels has been busy with lexol, Back to black, Armoral and the car wash. The volvo V70 XC has proved to be 2002 star performer. Thanks to the staff at revolvo I have the auto I looked for and the crew to report the normal aging process. THANKS AGAIN. Rick Ward. The 2002 took black to black and restored the rubber baby bumpers to dark blue, armoral for the seats cleaning then full LEXOL hand rubb multi efforts to reawaken the leather. The car was spooked at first but now responds and performs as the champion it was born to be. Next step, shocks!
Fair honest helpful on a road trip my vw passant overheated on i5 50 miles from grants pass conversation and diagnosis was on the phone as it was closing time aaa towed me in after hours Larry worked me into their schedule 2 days thermostat and auto expertly repaired I was happily on the road I highly recommend revolvowest

I brought my Chrysler Town and Country to Revolvo to have the radiator replaced and they did an excellent job! I will go back to them for sure!
He will lie through his teeth.I came back a year later to edit this review after somebody from revolvo West finally decided to respond..... quite literally, a year later. Pathetic.
Customer service is excellent
