Honestly I’m not one to right reviews but I have never experience worst customer service and lack of customer care. I went to this branch to get a new contact prescription because they offered great pricing and could get me in as soon as possible. Everything was going great they followed CDC guidelines. However as soon as Ms. Maron H from this branch received my glasses to get the measurements for my eyesight everything went wrong. She managed to “accidentally” break my glasses frame that I have had for less than a year. She told me they were brittle and she didn’t do anything. I looked at them after my eye exam, and they were snapped by temple tips/temple sections, where it sits on top of your ear. I asked how did this happen and she claims it happened on its own. I asked if they can do anything about it, and kept downplaying her mistake and asking me to basically deal with it my self and ask for the warranty from where I got them. Was told nothing they could do and she kept saying I didn’t do anything. After giving them back to me with what appears to be hot glue residue and clear tape to fix them, she had the audacity to ask me if I want to purchase new frames after telling her I spent $100 to get these less than a year ago. Frustrated I left because she was going in circles about not being able to help me. Definitely contacting corporate because this is just unacceptable. In the photos below you can clearly tell they were snapped, and didnt break because they were brittle. Plus where they are broken that doesnt break that easily. I ave had glasses throughout my whole life and I have never had a break in this area.

Felt like I was treated like a product on an assembly line. My child was in and out of the exam room in less than 5 minutes with an inaccurate prescription and no communication. The doctor didnt care to spend the time to get it right.

One of the lenses in my glasses popped out & I was in desperate need of repair. I arrived at this location at 5:05 to find it already closed but talked with Maron Harris as she was leaving to ask for help. She was kind enough to go back in & complete my repair while I waited outside to keep safe distancing. My gratitude to Maron is enormous and I will certainly return here when I need new glasses and would highly recommend everyone to follow my lead...this place has awesome people that go above & beyond duty to help......Thx much Maron!

Went to the location near Woodland Mall. Maron she is definitely the best she was very patient and kind and did a great job at finding what will work for me. I wasn’t the easiest patient but she was GREAT to work with.🤓😎

Doctor was great. However, staff never measured my face for my glasses. Once my glasses arrived no one could be bothered to size my glasses and make sure they fit. The option wasn’t even there. I had to go to Grand Rapids Optical to have them fit my glasses!!!

The overall experience from the initial call to schedule the appointment until the actual exam exceeded my expectations. The staff was very accommodating and went above and beyond to search various Optical RX locations in the city for a evening appointment. Once I arrived to the appointment the staff was very welcoming and engaging. This was by far the best experience I have ever had going in for a eye exam. The Doctor was extremely friendly and was very personable

Absolutely wonderful. Happy smiling faces and warm personality. Went out of their way to help get me a pair of contacts when I was running late for a flight and even made a point to include a new case and a bottle of solution that was the approved size for travel.

I was in with my teenage daughter who has never had glasses before. The doctor didnt even introduce himself to me (the parent who is paying for the glasses)! My daughter came out after her exam with another staff member who told my daughter to go ahead and pick out her glasses. I was totally expecting someone to let me know what was going on (the parent who is paying for the glasses), but had to firmly ask to get any information from her eye exam. When I walked into the exam room and asked to get some information, the doctor responded with what do you want to know?Really?!?! I would obviously like to know what you found in my daughters eye exam!! Very unprofessional!! I had been to the Cascade location with two of my other daughters earlier in the week and had a completely different experience. The doctor came out to get the girls and introduced herself to all of us and after their exams, she thoroughly explained to me what the exams showed. I do not recommend this location for any parent who is bringing a son or daughter for an eye exam!

I was on vacation and forgot to pack my daily contacts. The staff was very helpful contacting my primary optometrist to get my prescription and providing me with a sample contacts. They saved my vacation! Thank you so much!

I stopped into RX Optical a few weeks ago to see if my sunglasses could be repaired. To my delight, Maron Harris not only repaired them quickly but offered excellent customer service during my visit. I am thankful to her & the store looks great!

Rx Optical is only concerned with making money off of you. There is no sense of professionalism or expertise. The optician packs so much of his day with appointments that you feel rushed and afterwards you question yourself if you got a thorough eye exam. Sometimes I feel that the optician here changed my prescription just a little bit so I have to buy new glasses from them. The staff is rude and is only concerned with selling you glasses and lenses. Please dont go to a Rx Optical and find a better more professional place.

If Customer Service is important to you, you need to come to this location. Tezha and Amber are highly qualified and amazing professionals. The atmosphere that they created for me was one of information and comfortablity.I originally worked with Amber back in January of 2017 and she explained everything that I wanted and offered the warranty. Honestly I never buy warranties but after she walked me through it I ended up buying and I tell you what after losing my glasses I went back in and they replaced them. Shes saved me HUNDREDS of dollars.Tezha took care of me, she helped me pick out some frames that even my Sweetie would love. Her warm and welcoming professionalism was a refreshing. She is one of the main reasons I would come back.If youre their manager and you happen to read this I would like to give you some advice. Please recognize them for their hard work. If you dont I promise when a position opens in my company I will try and steal them!-Jon

I called 2 weeks ago and spoke with Artesa. I have $400 left of my flex spending and wanted to get new eyeglasses. Artesa stated she was going to figure out some prices for me and call me back. I never heard back form her. So on 11/21/18 - I visited the store in person and spoke with Artesa again. Gave her all my insurance info ect... I explained to her, if she wanted more time, I could leave and she could give me a call with prices. She told me she would call me back in 1-2 hours. 5 days later and no phone call. I took time out of my workday and still unsuccessful. Unable to get any type of response over the phone or in person. Ive been a loyal customer to RX and have spent thousands oneyeglasses and sunglasses. I have a good history with this store and have always been treated good. Since I have exhausted all avenues with this store, I am going elsewhere. I definitely would not refer anyone to this location. ----------- Fast forward several weeks... I appreciate Nicole for contacting, helping, and COMMUNICATING with me in order to take care of this issue. Thanks Nicole. I had great service at RX Allendale location with Nate! Thank you, I appreciate it.

Hit or miss here. Sometimes you get a great CSR and others they are unprofessional and not educated about their products and services. Possibly better training, procedures are needed?

My son accidentally ripped one of his contacts. Since he had a current script at another location, Maron helped up with a trial pair of contacts until we could get back home because we had additional contacts there. I really appreciate RXoptical and Maron for excellent customer service.

Last night my rimless eyeglasses broke, even though I hadnt purchased my glasses from RXOptical, they went out of their way to fix the glasses at no charge. I cant thank them enough, I will defiantly buy all future glasses from this location. Again, thank you for your help. :)

I went in to get a pair of inexpensive readers repaired - the screw fell off of one temple. Not only were they very nice and fixed the glasses for FREE, but they even gave me a free glasses case. First rate experience.
