I picked up a pair of glasses here last week which I cant see out of. Have driven to the office twice this week to find it closed for the day. Very frustrating. PostnoteThe company reached out to me right away and explained that like so many businesses they are having staffing difficulties. To be fair their closure was posted online. I have since been in and someone is working with me to resolve the issue.

I had my first eye exam here. Everyone in the office was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The Doctor who did my exam was great!There is a large selection of glasses frames to choose from. I would recommend this store.

Called to ask about fixing my broken glasses (frame broke), lady was kind of rude and only wanted to sell me an eye exam to get new glasses cause my prescription was expired. Unfortunately, exams were booked until end of the month.Called another location (Alpine) that was willing to sell me a new frame and use my existing lenses, which made me much happier and more willing to schedule that exam if I can get my current pair repaired in the meantime.Would not recommend this location, theres clearly a worker here who doesnt know how to provide good customer service.

SVS Vision does not service Veterans that recieved their glasses from the VA or any other store. They do not even put a nosepad on for anyone uless they purchased their glasses from SVS. I would suggest any other eyeglass place. I have never had a problem any other store or eye doctor.SVS was very rude to me.

Best eye exam ever! Eye doctor and staff did not try to sell me on unnecessary procedures, plus very knowledgeable. I was given my prescription without having to fight for it and they worked with me to find the best discount that was cheaper than 1-800contacts. All of the staff was very friendly and personable, quick appointment, no long sales pitches. Ive been to many different eye doctors in the past and I will go nowhere else now!

Poor customer service and quality. I had a coupon for $200 off a pair of glasses which is the only reason I went there. I ended up getting what was retailed at a $400 pair of frames and lenses. I told them I was moving to kentucky in two weeks and they were able to get them in ahead of then. Cool! I went in and tried them on and immediately noticed I could not see very well out of them. I told them I can’t see that well and the lady said, “well sometimes it can take a couple months to adjust to them.” No problem. Wore them a couple months and called them and said I still can’t see. They said, “they probably just aren’t fitting right” have them adjusted the next time you’re in Michigan. A couple months later, back in Michigan go in to get adjusted, still can’t see etc. They say, “well it’s past the 45 day mark, can’t do anything about them.” Nobody ever mentioned I only had 45 days to to complain about them before they couldn’t do anything. They had an eye doctor in the store, he looked at the lenses and said they have the wrong spheres and a couple other thing within the lenses and they were made wrong. They ended up replacing the lenses and shipping the new ones to me in Kentucky. Sweet, except I still couldn’t see out of those ones either. I could see fine out of my old glasses and contacts so I knew my eyes hadn’t changed. I called them and told them I just wanted my money back so I could go elsewhere, at least the cost of the lenses. “Nope can’t do anything. Well outside the 45-day mark and we tried making the lenses again.” So now I have a $400 pair of glasses that operate as a paperweight despite them having two shots at the lenses. Overly priced glasses, and if you can’t see out of them, they’ll just tell you “give it a couple months” until you’re outside their 45-day warranty they never told you about. At that point they’ll tell you “get bent”. Go elsewhere. It’s a wonder people aren’t getting in accidents, tripping down sidewalks, etc. while wearing their glasses and suing.

Very clean friendly and helpful workers. Great prices on their frames. Eye exams are quick and easy nothing horrible for ppl who hate having their eyes touched like me. And Melissa is awesome she is the best from the time you walk in the door until you walk out you can tell she loves and enjoy her job and I absolutely love it.

I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND spending any of your hard earned money at this store. Trust me, I made the mistake TWICE! Every time I get glasses I have to order a new pair right after because the quality of their glasses are low grade..The quality of their products make me wonder if they are even REAL designer frames.. I cant see these designers putting their name on products that break and deteriorate within the 1st 30 days of receiving them.. My first pair were Gucci frames. The first pair I got had scratches on them that the employee swore up and down they could not see. After battling to get a new unscratched pair of glasses THAT I PAID FOR.. the new pair came and the color became faded fast.. when I brought it to their attention they said there was nothing they could do...I called again because it didnt set right with me that I paid all of that money and still have damaged glasses...a manager said she would order a new pair for me. I called back to check the status after a week and they said they had no record and there was nothing they could do, again! Talk about poor management, you cant just tell a customer what they want to hear and not follow through! I dropped it at that time and now I wish I would have asked them to honor what was communicated...and to be ethical in making things right. Is it hard to do the right thing? I am getting ripped off! Fast forward, this time I bought Kate Spade glasses and the spade fell out...*rolls eyes* Ive only worn these 3 times..Just picked them up last week. When I called back to have my lenses switched to the display ones the manager said she cant because there are scratches on the display ones..oh, so you guys can see scratches now?..They offered to replace these but it will take a week. I need my glasses now and im really fed up with them at this point. Back to back experiences that are less than satisfactory. I explained my experience with them to the manager and she could have cared less to be honest. She didnt ask a single follow up question and was at peace with the fact that I am getting horrible products and horrible customer service from SVS vision. I finally asked for a refund and was told I have to set up an appointment for that - covid restrictions & that they are not accepting walk ins. I am going to test that theory (yes, im sending secret shoppers). I hope they dont take the walk ins because it will be an issue if I was denied the opportunity to stop by when im out and about as it works for me!!!! I have to leave work early to accommodate their hours and it is hard to know which day I can cut out early.. save yourself the headache community. Shop and spend elsewhere!

I was welcomed by Colleen at the front desk.. She looks up at me and walla I am given the best complement for the day .. You have a beautiful face. The optometrist was attentive after evaluation I was given two pairs of free contacts essentially a month supply. I was handled over to Melissa. She was attentive we both picked out a perfect pair of sunglasses. I got a great deal. I experienced what one calls excellent customer service at all levels.

I have no complaints. Submitted a schedule request online and received an email less than an hour later to get all the info and appointment confirmed. My daughter was seen right at her scheduled appointment time. They were patient and friendly dealing with her. We were in and out with her glasses ordered in 40 minutes. Very happy so far!

I work with Colleen the store manager. I highly recommend this store because its being managed by a very qualified and personable manager. She assisted me in every way giving me clear Direction and recommendations about the bolle sunglasses which I recently purchased for a friend. I was recently in for my yearly eye exam another amazing experience. Colleen gives nothing but the best customer service. She will assist you when choosing frames and always has the customers best interest in mind. Anticipating the arrival of my new frames. Another great experience. Thank you SVS for providing someone special with a true passion for her job.

With the insurance that we have SVS is a preferred provider of optical. I got glasses for my three children with zero dollars out of pocket except our $25 copays! The tall guy that sits in the front is very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The location is easily accessible from anywhere in Grand Rapids and the hours are convenient.

If I could give zero stars, I would give zero stars. First of all, these people were so incredibly rude to us when we had our appointment. Then we order my glasses, they tell us it’ll be 7-10 days, it ended up taking over 3 WEEKS for them to come in, just for them to be so horribly fitted (even though they sized them when i ordered them) they fell of my face. I don’t recommend this place at all, and I definitely will not be returning.

I had a wonderful experience! Dr. Kresnak was very thorough and kind. Extremely helpful. All the employees were nice as well. The only con was that there not many frames to choose from that were covered by my insurance through Medicaid.

Not a great experience. I was looking at frames, the first customer service representative was friendly and asked if I needed assistance. I politely declined because I wanted to try on a few choices at my own pace. By the time I made my way around the shop to the counter, one of the ladies asked in a very snarky voice is someone helping you, or are you playing on your own? Customer service like that is unacceptable, especially when you are buying something that can be upwards of $500. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that has a better selection and cares about customers.

The experience was quick and misguided. An eye exam should never be rushed, but the doctor seemed more interested in getting through the exam quickly. The staff was friendly, but policies are ridiculous. Money is clearly the goal. Frames are expensive, lenses are even more pricey. They automatically add every upgrade to the price, in this case, totaling over $500. I recommend you go somewhere else, or online. Pass.

Rushed exam. Ended up having to go 2 months later to pay somewhere else for another eye exam after I was still seeing blurry when trying to read and see distance. They did not give me the correct prescription strong enough and wasted my insurance $$. I am glad I brought my daughter elsewhere too. Vision is important, so please for your future customers do not rush their exams and mess up their prescriptions.

Frustrating customer service!Showed up exactly on time for my appointment. I was told there was a misunderstanding about my appointment time and they had me down for earlier. No problem as there is literally no one else in the place, right? Wrong. Insisted they had to reschedule for a different day. This is the worst place ever I think the guy that works there got to be related to the owner or something this man is just so incompetent. He loss my glasses then when I go in to talk to him about the situation because I never received a call to let me no anything about the glasses the only thing he could tell me is that my insurance did not cover the replacement so then I ask him ok so where are the glasses he could not tell me nothing. So do your self a favor and dont waste your time.
