The staff was lovely! Really kind and easygoing. Sadly, the fudge is not up to par with other Kilwins locations Ive been to. Kinda chewy, like chocolate gum. :-/

Went into the 🍨 shop close to closing, the stuff was super friendly and made us feel home. Lots of cool flavors to choose from and whatever we had was great! Dont know when Ill be back in Grand Rapids, but when I do, Ill go back there to have 🍨 😊

Ive enjoyed every Kilwins store Ive visited, but this one was especially great. Aside from the large assortment of chocolates and ice cream, the staff were exceptionally friendly. Service here was amazing, and one staff member even had pronouns listed on their name tag. It would be great to see more places allow and encourage this. Service is also very quick, so youre able to get in and out with ease.

Great chocolate. Dont seem to track who is in line and who is not. I was fist in the store with about a dozen people and 3rd to get in line, and waited for about ten minutes to get waited on while other people entered the store after I was In line and they got waited on before me. They might need a number system or something.

If you want to deliver quick smiles during a pandemic, go to Kilwin’s. They’ve got something for everything and everyone loves them!

We snuck in for ice cream just before closing. It was delish. Also glad to connect to the Grand Rapids location after a fabulous fudge lesson at Kilwins on Mackinaw.

I had no idea what this place was when my friend received a pick up for uber eats. To my delight,it was a fudge shop!! They gave us a sample of chocolate and black walnuts. Sooo good! I will be going back soon for myself! Yum!!

Great ice cream and chocolate shop with friendly patient employees in downtown Grand Rapids! Ice cream flavors rotate and consist of traditional flavors like chocolate and vanilla, as well as Michigan staples like Blue Moon, and more adventurous flavors like Smores. I tried the Marsh Mallow Smores and Fudge Brownie on a waffle cone. The Smores ice cream was awesome, it was light and fluffy without being overly sweet. Fudge Brownie was decent, good but nothing spectacular, more actual brownie pieces would have improved it. Waffle cone tasted fresh. For better or worse (I actually love it), nutritional information is prominently displayed on the ice cream case and menus. Scoops are very large. I didnt have an opportunity to try any of the assorted chocolate, fudge, or caramel apples but there is an excellent selection! This is a great place to satisfy your sweet tooth both now with an ice cream cone and later with some fudge or chocolate truffles!

Sea salt Carmel is SO good, I bought a double in a waffle cone and refused to look at the calorie count!!!

Nice old fashioned ice cream. For me the portion was too big! Their chocolates are too sweet for me but also with this small issues I give 5 start, I loved the taste of the ice cream

I got some amaZing cookies dipped in fudge and a delectable coffee ice cream milk shake.

We wanted to stop in for some quick ice cream after dinner and had a terrible experience. All of the workers we encountered were insincere and rude. Their #1 priority was to push us through and out of the store. My family was treated very poorly. The white customers werent treated this way. Avoid!!!

Always looking for a sweet treat when I travel and I was thrilled to find this Kilwins across the street from the Amway Grand Hotel - nice place, good treats, excellent ice cream. Sure, its a little pricey, but the portions are good sized and the ice cream was excellent. If youre visiting Grand Rapids and want something sweet, check out Kilwins, Im glad I did.

Pricey but worth it!

I was downtown with a friend for dinner. We thought let’s grab some ice cream. It was a quiet night for Saturday. We walked into kilwins. We had left our face masks in the car and it’s by choice if we wear them. There was absolutely no customers in the store and the employees kicked us out. She said if we didn’t have masks we couldn’t be served. By law they can ask us but not require us and to not serve us and to be as rotten as she was is absolutely not ok! This was June 20th 2020 around 9pm. Like I said there was no one in there. I will be complaining to hire up about how she treated us. My friend said they will never get our business again and I agree!

Pricey but good icecream and chocolates

Pretty good ice cream, but slightly pricey. My husband and I got a scoop to share right next door in the park on a sunny day.

What a place! Sweetest spot on the city! Great chocolates, fudges, and even the best place for heavenly ice cream! You can serve it up in a waffle bowl or just have fun with it. So take a break from the day and relax down on Monroe.

Its still pricey, but the shop isnt running out of vanilla ice cream and spoons in the middle of Art Prize and you dont have to watch staff shovel double dipped sample spoons full of ice cream straight from the cooler into their mouth while you wait.Big thanks to the new owners for turning the place around!

I took the kids for ice cream. I also picked up some candy. I love sea foam and it can be hard to find. The kids liked the ice cream but I feel as though the sea foam was somewhat stale.

Love the bunny tails and double peanut butter pie ice cream. Super friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable for being in the downtown area. I will be sure to visit again.

They dont care about the customer!! Just your money!!!The worker double charged me for my ice cream. Unfortunately, they do not have the power to issue a refund without the owner there. They took my information and said I would be issues a receipt with my refund. A week later... nothing. I called them, took my information again and was told the same thing. I emailed them too, got a reply from the owner saying they would fix it and would make sure this doesnt happen again as it is difficult to double charge someone.In the end, I was charged $12 for single waffle cone ice cream.Oh yeah, havent heard back and its been a month now.

Tasty treats, but extremely overpriced.A Barqs root beer poured from a can onto ice cream in a plastic cup = $6.99 root beer float.$10 for a slice of fudge.I believe I left my debit card there, but cannot confirm because phone calls and voicemail messages have gone unanswered all weekend.

The posted price was NOT what I was charged. I realize that the price is higher because of location and I have no problem with that. However when you order an item thinking youre going to be charged the posted price and end up paying $1.50 more, bring it to their attention and nothing is done thats outrageous and I believe against the law!

So, my family and I stopped by the cream shop and had an amazing experience. We even parked illegally to get a creamy taste of Grand Rapid, MI. Thanks to all the workers at Kilwins.

Classic Michigan fudge, creative ice cream flavors, and great location in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids with outdoor seating, but realize the location means it is more expensive.

This would be a great place for a nice, family-oriented kinda place. However, things are overpriced, the ambiance makes it feel like your run of the mill tourist trap, and I didnt feel like I got my moneys worth for the experience.

We have a Kilwins near me in Geneva, IL so I knew the second I saw the Kilwins sign in Grand Rapids that we were in for a treat. Kilwins serves the very best ice cream and they even hand-craft delicious chocolates and fudge.We stopped in for a delicious ice cream treat (I believe I had black cherry), but I love all the candies they make right in from of your eyes. They have seating indoors and on an outside patio when the weather’s nice. Definitely stop in if you’ve got a sweet tooth!

Food is good, but not worth the price. $6 for a single scoop cake cone? $23 for a bag of carmel corn? No thanks, wont be back.
