This place is the best. High quality confections of all sorts. Many of them are hand-painted so they look amazing as well.I started buying random treats from this place for my family as gifts and now they get upset with me if I buy them anything else.I particularly like their peanut butter cups and the chocolate tart.10/10 if you are in the area and dont try this place you are doing yourself a disservice.

The most incredible chocolate. I dont typically enjoy chocolate but I love almost everything they make. I highly recommend the loaded bars. The last time I truly enjoyed chocolate was in Belgium but this might even be better! It is also gorgeous.

You know how you go to a concert and the opening act is amazing and is as good, if not better, than the headliner and you can tell they are excited and proud of what they are doing? That is the Mokaya vibe. The hard working people at Mokaya are proud of what they do and are excited to share it with you; and they should be! Mokaya is part of a hard working and imaginative group of Michigan chocolateers that are putting out product that is on par with New York, San Francisco, and Paris! An absolute pure Michigan must visit!

I was ecstatic that I was able to drive out west to visit this chocolate boutique shop. They definitely did not disappoint with their chocolate selection and the exceptional customer experience! Due to the holidays, they had some special hot cocoa bundles and orders where locals would order boxes of chocolates as gifts. It was really amazing to see how locals knew immediately what they needed to order! Their chocolate really stands out because of the unique flavors and the stunning presentation of each truffle piece. You will find flavors like orange blossom cardamom, strawberry lemonade balsamic caramel, and vanilla latte truffle. I topped that off with a Mexican hot cocoa and it was so delicious- decadent hot cocoa with a kick from the chili. Def warmed me up before heading back out in the cold.They also have chocolate dinner events in their shop so that is def on my to-do list very soon. Cant wait to return and try out the rest of their delicious menu!

Love this little gem! Experimental flavors I absolutely cant wait to discover! Person behind the counter was extremely helpful and engaging. Their double chocolate crunch bar I havent even bit into yet because it looks so amazing. Their drinks are made in house, even the syrup! Popsicle was also delicious and dipped in chocolate.

So beautiful! They had a covid friendly store front, where you look at the product through a window, check the price sheet, and then press a buzzer to order. Super cool experience!

We first encountered Mokaya chocolates at a cider tasting at Virtue Cider, and absolutely loved the gorgeous bonbons and unique flavors.We decided to order some more online to try even more flavors, and they didn’t disappoint. As both a white chocolate and a caramel fan, their assortment feels like it’s made for me 😄Can definitely recommend!

Love this chocolate shop! They have so many chocolates and treats to choose from. The design is so precious and beautiful. They also have an extra side room. Besides the truffles, there are cookies and hot chocolate as well.

It was an ok experience. The atmosphere is somewhat noisy and echoey. But its a popup so understandable. First course of salad with catus was bland...needed some salt substance to wake up flavors. Next was a chicken mole with blue corn tortillas. Sauce was tasty. Dish was cold and plating lacking...it was served in a bowl so made it hard to eat. Next was an oxtail taco...tasty...could of put at least 2 on the plate for the $70 price. Next was a tamale...not my favorite food item but the meat was good...too bad served cold. Lastly was a churro, chocolate, horchata dessert...churro was gummy in texture...the horchata ice cream was tasty and cinnamon flavor good.Very nice chef and servers. But the lack of plating skills and temperature of the dishes did not leave a great taste in my mouth. A one out of five for me.

Super yummy, decedent chocolate goodies. They have truffles, various pastries, cookies, and, in the summer, ice cream sandwiches and chocolate dipped fruit pops ( I believe those are new this year). Super bonus is that they are open pretty late compared to some of the other shops.

I love Mokaya! The quality is amazing and the staff is always helpful and quick. I accidentally placed a pickup order for the wrong day recently and when I called to ask about it, they quickly got my order in for same day delivery before their driver left to make runs. Trendy Eastown chocolatier creates edible works of art. Beautiful space, nice location, perfect for loitering over dessert and/or a coffee (by Madcap).

Very unique chocolates. They have a nice service window with a bell and credit card machine for the pandemic. Its expensive, but a great occasional treat. Perfect for gifts.

Googled “Hot Cocoa in Grand Rapids” and found Mokaya. I had a large order and they got them all perfect. Very friendly service. Very neat and clean environment. Easy Parking. And best of all, Delicious Hot Cocoa. I would highly recommend the Parisian style. It’s like drinking a melted chocolate bar mixed with warm milk, which sounds gross, but is actually so fantastic that you have to try it at least once.

Amazing speciality chocolates! Grabbed a wine flight, brownie, and peanut butter cup for Valentines day and every one of them delivered a top notch experience in their category.

Mokaya has some of the best chocolate concoctions you can get anywhere. Their in-house chocolate covered Oreos are an addiction that require a 12 Step support group to gain deliverance from...not that you would want or need to seek one out in this case.

A great chocolate place in Grand Rapids. The best thing Ive had here is their ice cream sandwiches. Most recently I tried the box of vegan chocolates and wasnt as impressed as I was with other items that Ive purchased before. However, I had the best caramel Ive ever had here!

Ive had both the chocolate and dessert from Mokaya. Both are so pure tasting and rich, totally worth the calories if that concerns you. The chocolate flavors are very creative and the lemon tart is similar to what you would expect from a Michelin rated restaurant for desert. Nothing artificial or too sweet, very nicely balanced.

Wonderful ornate truffles. I have to choose different flavors each time I come in because they’re always adding creative flavor combinations to their menu and every one so far has been fantastic. Their other desserts are delicious as well. The dark hot chocolate with the vanilla marshmallow sauce is my favorite. Friendly service even during their busiest times. Always impressed.

I tried 6 truffles and they were all absolutely amazing in both taste and appearance. According to the website, their cocoa beans are fair trade and sourced from Latin American countries, which is one of the most important things I consider when buying chocolate. Each flavor was totally unique and the chocolates would make absolutely incredible gifts and would be perfect for special events. Id definitely come back again!!

I got a Christmas parcel from a business associate in Michigan. I received a bag of cashew milk chocolate bark and a box of beautifully crafted chocolates. They were delicious, my compliments. I havent had such good chocolate since I visited San Francisco years ago.

I can’t believe it took me so long to visit this shoppe.GR is certainly lucky to have had them choose their community.It is located in the cool corridor of Wealthy St among some other hip storefronts.So far I tried a dark chocolate truffle & their key lime tart-definitely nailed both of them!!Their products are also a visual delight-must be seen to be appreciated.Next visit I plan on an ice cream sandwich-wafers & ice cream made on site!

This place is incredible! If you love chocolate, you HAVE to come here!Everything is made from scratch, by very competent candy and pastry makers. The atmosphere is great, and the selection is bountiful. Their operating hours are great, too!We tried several items: the Key Lime tart with white chocolate and sweet Italian Cream frosting, the double chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and rich, whipped cream, and the oat-crusted ooey-gooey-filled Chocolate dessert.We also got a homemade peanut butter cup, and peppermint pattie. All were amazing. The cake sides, and peanut butter cup were hand-painted with colorful candy patterns, too!I thought the sweet Italian Cream topping on the Key Lime dessert might have been a bit too much, as I ended up scraping off about half of it, so I could enjoy more of the lime taste. But overall, I loved everything I tried, and so did my wife and kids. Great job, people; we are your new loyal customers!

Talk about a place that knows their chocolate. They have a changing menu of items that never fail to please. Our favorites at Mokaya are the peppermint patties, creme brulee, and tiramisu. You wont go wrong trying those... or any other item from this chocolatier.
