If I could rate zero stars, I would. I went in to get the back camera glass fixed on my phone. When I got my phone back and tried to use the video, it was blurry. The guy helping me said that it was probably something wrong with the new glass and ordered a new one. When I took it back in to get it switched out, I regretfully left with a piece of plastic and scotch tape covering my camera lens. They ordered the wrong part.When the new one finally came in, they switched it out but one of the cameras that wasnt blurry before, was now blurry. After excuses from the employee, Christian, I was contacted by the regional? manager, Scott. Scott informed me that the would fix the lens. Apparently the first lens ordered was the wrong one, surprise surprise, and now the right one is on order. It has been almost a month and a half since I spoke with Scott!!Because this store does not want to keep there customers informed, I went in to find out what was going on. Unfortunately,all I got was excuses and attitude from Christian. I am still waiting on a resolution!!Customer service and outright performance is seriously lacking in this store.

Have never, ever had a good experience with this store. Very pricey, very unreliable, seems like they dont know what theyre doing. Had phone screen replaced by them a couple times and never once has it worked the same.

I shattered the glass on my iPhone at work yesterday and was in a panic. I rushed over to Genius Phone Repair and arrived around 5pm. Christian that assisted me was very nice and helpful. He advised the phone would be ready at 6:30p to be picked up. I arrived back at that time and the phone was ready to go. It looks great and works perfectly. Thank you so much! 😃

This place is awful. Asked if they are buying iPhone 8 and they say yes, they just need to keep it overnight to check condition and then they call me the next day to say no so not only did I waste gas driving out there because it wasn’t close and time I also could’ve sold to a different location but now I would have to have the other location hold onto it another 24 hours. Such a waste of time

I took my phone in to get the back glass cover switched out. The employee asked me what I paid before, given that I related how Id had it repaired 2 months earlier. Isnt there a set price? I mean other than tacking on an extra $5 and blaming inflation?Also......the least they could do from a customer service standpoint is wipe down/clean the front screen before handing it back to you with not only your grime, but theirs as well all over it.It just seems unprofessional. Irritated more than angry. Id go back but Id also hold their feet a little closer to the fire too.

My 16 year old son went in a pool with his phone in his pocket. He was several hours away from returning home and by the time he got home we didnt have time to take the phone anywhere before businesses closed for the day. We placed the phone in a bag with rice and hoped for the best. Next day we went in and Genius opened up the phone. They dried the water they could and recommended we put the phone in a bag with silica gel packs to dry out any remaining moisture. They made it clear that we should not plug in the phone or try to turn it on before returning to the store in a couple days. We returned and Stacy helped us. It was obvious she knew what she was doing. We were fortunate in that although the Lifeproof case on the phone did let some water in (through a slightly worn membrane on the home button), it must have kept excess water out. She checked for moisture and then plugged it in. Made sure it was functioning properly. I expected to pay a fee for her time, but no charge! So nice that there are still companies like this that will help with small checks like ours! Definitely recommend this location and ask for Stacy!

I had an iPhone battery replaced a month or two ago. Replacement went fine and I got my fixed phone back in a few hours. Ive since been back to this location twice and both times they talked me out of doing a repair. In the first case, they let me know the phones existing battery wasnt that bad. They walked me through some settings to change to improve my battery life without replacing the actual battery. In another case, I asked for an Apple Watch battery replacement. They were quick to point out that it would be only slightly more expensive to replace the watch with a newer model. I really appreciate their honesty and I happily recommend these folks for any of your electronics repairs.

Had an issue with my Note 10+ where the pen had gotten stuck due to tempered glass liquid spilling in to the chamber when it was being cured by the UV light. The pen retraction was toast as it glued to a position where it couldnt be retracted.Drew SAVED my bahooskie when it troubleshot different ideas to get the pen out vs having to dismantle the back (which almost always results in cracked glass backing). He saved me money, time and I got to keep my phone without being down for I can only imagine how long. I lost the pen (my fault due to the glue getting on it, but I had an extra one anyway and I would rather have paid for a new S Pen for new glass back).Ive never had a need for a phone repair shop until now, BUT they will earn my future business (I have 2 teenagers) and my referral without hesitation.

I had the worse experience at Phone Genius on the Beltline and 28th.The guy was very rude to me because I had said that I had got a different price at same store on a different day to replace the screen..I dont know if he was trying to be a big shot in front of his trainee but you dont treat your customer that way. Will never ever set foot in that store again and will let everyone I know to not go to that store. I

Stopped in today because a screen protector was so stuck on my daughters phone, we tried everything to get it off. The lady who helped us was amazing! She got it off and saved us a lot of stress and tiny cuts🙂 highly recommend this company and location!

I needed a new plug in receptor for my phone, dropped it off at Genius, and picked it up the next day at a cost less than what was quoted. The service was great because they did what they said they would do. Im happy to recommend them for phone repairs. Also, access was pretty easy at the Cascade site.

This place is awesome!My iPhone 4s was dropped on a tile floor. The screen was not functioning but there were no visible cracks. I was sure I would end up having to get a new phone ($200) and pay for an additional line ($10 per month for 2 years) since I was still under contract with my cell provider.My coworker told me about Genius and even called them to explain the issue with my phone. Nick new what the problem was right away! He said it could be repaired for under $100 and I could pick it up at the end of the day!Its now functioning perfectly and Nick helped me choose a sturdier phone case....just in case.These guys are knowledgeable, courteous and fast! I expected to spend $60 to fix my iphone charger port after speaking with a couple of stores. I saw this store, went in and briefly described the problem. The staff quickly checked my phone and told me it is just full of stuff.. He then went in and a few minutes later came back with a fixed phone. I was thrilled he did not charge me. The on/lock/off button on mi IPhone 5 stopped working, and when I took it to the Apple store they told me it was not repairable. When I saw the reviews Genius Phone Repair got, I thought I would give it a try. Sorry I waited so long to check it out! They fixed my phone in less than 2 hours, for $79.00, and it works perfectly. The counter guy was very professional, and I could not be happier. Highly recommended.

This place is a joke! Took one phone here for a screen repair and although the quality of the screen was good, the color was off and there was a bright spot on it. The genius at the counter told me there was nothing else he could do and I was stuck with it. Two months later after upgrading my phone I took the previously repaired one back to them for a cash purchase, and they penalize the phone for the bright spot that they repaired!!! Will never work with them again due to poor service

The lady seem to have very little knowledge of their services and prices. For a cracked screen she wanted to charge us 160.00 then when given the phone back she stated they can’t repair water damage phones after making it worse when we dropped the phone off. Waste of time!

Genius Phone Repair offers device repair at a fair price. However, I recently had them replace a broken display panel on a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 tablet, and when I got it back the battery would not charge. I called and at first they told me I would have to purchase a new battery (even though the tablet worked just fine when I brought it in). They later called and told me that there would be no charge for the second repair, and the tablet now works perfectly fine. I think they may have forgotten to reconnect a ribbon cable inside the tablet when they replaced the display panel. In the end it all worked out okay, but I was without my tablet for a couple of weeks. I will likely return to Genius Repair for future needs, and hope my experience improves going forward.

I had a connectivity problem and the service and professionalism level was superior. They were methodical in solving the issue and their follow-thru was absolutely excellent. They treated me with the utmost respect and did not give up until they found the issue and more importantly fixed it. On top of that, they did not charge me! Having these stores here in town makes dropping your brand new iPhone 5 (two days after I got it) seem not so horrible. They fixed it for less than I thought and got me a shock proof screen protector so that I could avoid busting the screen again. Friendly guys and fast turn around time - HIGHLY recommend!

I took my phone in for a new screen and was quoted $256 because my phones screen is rare and hard to repair. It also needed a new frame because it was bent. I decided it was worth it because, I would end up with basically an entire new phone and, I needed my phone for work and left my phone with them, they said my phone would be ready in 3-5 days. I called several times to check the progress and on day five my phone still wasnt ready. Then they said it was actually going to be 5-8 business days. I got my phone back after 7 business days and when I went in to pick it up I looked at my phone and the frame was chipped on the corners and it was dirty and scratched. I thought they had ordered me a new frame but they didnt they used a refurbished frame and screen and never called and asked and still charged me full price. This week the frame bent and cracked the screen even though it was in a shockproof case. I took it in to genius because it would be covered by the 90 day warranty. They said it was my fault and that they would not cover my screen or frame. They offered to repair it again for $179 when it should be covered by the warranty. I have never been so disappoint by a local small business.

Free visit for minor fix!I used a off brand Apple Watch band and the connector got stuck. I tried a bunch of different times but it just wouldn’t budge. Walked into genius and they fixed my Apple Watch in less than two minutes. Best of all it didn’t cost anything. Thanx!!!

I brought my iPhone to the Genius Phone Repair in Grand Rapids. The screen had blue lines on it and I was afraid that I would not be able to get my data, photos, and long contact list back. I was really anxious. Steven met me and told me that he could fix the screen at an affordable price and nothing inside the phone was lost. further, it is only a 2-hour repair and I am back in business. The store was clean and attractive. I will be sure to come back here again.

My iPhone 5s was damaged (by me) when I installed a new battery. It was basically inoperable. I took it to GPR for an evaluation. They said theyd need 2 hours to review. Within 30 minutes, I received an email that my phone was ready. Turns out that I replaced screws out of order. GPR put them in correctly and did not charge me. Said it wasnt serious enough to consider billable. Now, thats service and professionalism.

I had the adhesive on the small panel protecting the lens and flash on the back of my Droid M fail. They fixed it right away for me, and I was out the door within five minutes. Great job with friendly and respectful service.

Screen cracked right after Genius repaired it; the tech admitted that they tightened the screws too tight which contributed to the crack. The would not stand behind their product and would only fixed it if we paid for the parts. The tech working could not do anything; no manager would view the phone to verify the crack- he could barely get a hold of anyone to help him. Terrible Customer Service. They fix your phone, not properly, and then charge you again- bait & switch! Kevin, the manager, was unwilling to do anything when the store finally got a hold of him and Sam, the assistant manager, was also unwilling to resolve the situation the next day upon speaking to him. They lost a customer over $46.00, pretty sad!

NEVER GET YOUR PHONE REPAIRED AT THIS PLACEThe staff was great and all, but the parts they use are extremely low quality; you are definitely better off buying a new phone. My phones original screen broke after 2 years of me dropping it nearly every day and the only reason it did break was because it flew off my bike straight into the curb, but the screen they replaced it with broke after two weeks on the first time I dropped it. And it only fell about 3.5 feet from a bathroom counter. Even though the crack is not so bad, the screen is totally unresponsive to touch. So now Im without a phone and out $200.Not only did the screen break way-too-easily, but it would also think I was touching the home button whenever I typed a space (an incredibly infuriating experience). And three regions on the screen were distinctly discolored. I had decided not to go back to them for these issues because I was tired of not having a phone and waiting for them to repair it properly, but now I am seriously regretting ever going there in the first place. I should have just bought a new phone.I also asked them to replace my battery since it dies quite quickly, but whatever they replaced it with dies just as fast and takes MUCH longer to charge. When I plug the phone in at night it is at about 70% when I wake up in the morning.To summarize, you are WAY better off buying a new phone. The people there are great, and I expected my phone to be like a refurbished one since I replaced both the screen and battery and it cost nearly as much as a new one would have, but what I got back a phone as fragile as a porcelain doll that doesnt even work as it should. And now its totally useless after 2 weeks of having it.Very disappointingLastly, on Google reviews they leave the same exact message on all the bad reviews asking for contact info so they can try and resolve this situation but on Google the reviewer cannot reply to the comment anyway. Plus they already know my contact info since they make you fill out a form with all that information when you get your phone repaired. What a smarmy way to try and make your business look good.Highly recommend you never come here.

Very disappointed. I had them put a new piece of glass over the camera on my Samsung galaxy s6. Before leaving my phone with them I asked if they would clean the camera and everything before putting new glass on. Guy looked at me like I was stupid and said well yeah got my phone back and there are spots all over they camera lens. Wasnt cleaned correctly if at all. Wish I could post a picture taken with the repaired glass cover so everyone can see the spots. I will never be back. Only reason they got 1 star is cause there is no option for zero.

No matter what you read on the Internet, no one will unlock your iPhone. CellTec wont either, but they will solve your problem. Yesterday I had a locked iPhone with my only option being AT&T at $70.00/month. Today I have data along with unlimited text and unlimited talk for $40.00/month. I was very close to jailbreaking my iPhone yesterday but didnt do it because it really isnt the right solution. Man am I glad I waited a day. I met with Shawn this morning and walked out 20 minutes later with a fully functioning iPhone with service. I have been dealing with this fiasco for (6) weeks and Shawn solved my problem in 20 minutes. Learn from my experience - call them.

Apple was going to charge me for a brand new phone after it froze doing a software update, and then I brought it to this store and with in 30 minutes they had my phone totally up and running like new. They are awesome!

Great service and very happy with the 90 day warranty on repairs! Took my iPod in after running it through the wash. It came back mostly fixed, but the battery was draining way too fast. They kept working on it until I was happy and now I have a fully functioning iPod. While I hope I dont have to, I would definitely use them again.

Brought in 2 tablets & neither one could could be repaired (cracked screen) or even an appropriate estimate if they were to be fixed. Got talked into recycling them by the repair associate so after I thought about it I was conned into giving them to them for free, Ill never deal with this place again

Sent my phone in for mail-in repair because the battery was draining, they said they put in a new battery, and sent it back (it took five days to get back to me after it was repaired - for some reason it sat in Grand Rapids PO for three days. Wish they had offered expedited service for an additional fee). I got it back and the battery is still draining. I called and emailed for clarification on the repair and never heard back. They even sent me a survey which asked about my experience and if I wanted to hear back from a supervisor, I answered yes and still never heard anything from them. Disappointed in the communication and customer service, my phone is the same as before I sent it - Im out $47.

My phone wasnt charging properly. Verizon gives me 5 complicated $100+ options to get it totally replaced. The Verizon representative sends me to Genius phone repair across the street.They pull out some pocket lint from the charger port in 60 seconds and its back to working order, free of charge.Stop by here first with your phone malfunctions and hopefully save yourself some time and money!Thanks for the help Geniuses!

I poped in today and was having trouble with my phone charging. Instead of an expensive and lengthy repair they cleaned it and restored it to be just like new in just 15 minuets. These guy are great. I will definitely recommend checking with these guys before going to the store and paying and waiting for a new phone.

Today I went in to the Genius Store on the East Beltline and they saved me AT LEAST $500. I walked in and the manager, Dallion, politely and promptly greeted me at the counter. I told him my situation. My phone wasnt charging properly and it was really a huge inconvenience for me when I woke up in the morning without a charged phone! Dalton took my phone, looked at it for 2 seconds, removed a large amount of dust and lint from the charging portal and boom! The phone was completely fixed. I was amazed. I told him my next stop was going to be Verizon to buy a brand new phone, for probably at least $500. But Dallion saved me, and refused any money. I learned that before ever buying a new phone, just stop by the Genius Store and see what they can do first... they just might save you $500.

A bit more pricey than the battery store down the road. But they had what I needed in stock when I needed it. Very quick service.

I contacted them for the first time today. Called the cascade store, no answer, left voice mail. Called the beltline store, same scenario. Never did get anyone on the phone, left a voice mail and never was called back. Store said when you press one, you go to a call center. Went to the store in Cascade and was given a price $15 higher than Igadget magic repair and told it couldnt be done the same day. I would not recommend this store.

The only bad reviews these guys have gotten are people who shouldnt be upset. One is a guy who didnt want to pay the price for quality (his call experience is bull I have called several times and they have answered everytime) and another guy whos frame bent apparently all on its own. (Cmon man..)Bottom line is these guys working there are the best, they have cleaned phones for me, done free diagnostics on SEVERAL devices for me ALL FOR FREE. They have covered my fathers iphone when it was 3 months out of warranty. They stand behind their work and they deserve your business. I was not going to do a review but I noticed these bone heads in front of me so I felt obligated. Genius for life!

Replaced battery without authorization. Water treatment only worked for the first month. Their lifetime gaurentee is kind of a joke. Overall, I would recommend swapping a broken phone out with Apple over taking your chances with these guys. They are overpriced for what you get.

Genius phone repair was able to fix my phone within 2 hours and the staff was friendly and helpful!

Went in there today and the gentleman was very friendly and the I didnt have to wait said there shouldnt be any problem fixing my phone and it would be done in a couple hours.Thank you would definitely recommend them

This the 3rd time that Ive taken my iPhone to the GPR store on Beltline & 28th and its become my go-to place when I need iPhone help. Twice now, they looked at the phone (I had to leave it for a few hours), made a few adjustments that didnt require any parts and then returned the phone fully functional. The AMAZING part is that those two repairs were done at no charge to me. One repair was a (lint) clogged charging port and the other a power button that was not seating properly. On the 3rd occasion, they did have to replace a part so I was charged. Ive become a total fan especially of this particular GPR store -- they understand that its about long-term customer relationships, not a quick buck. GPR has plenty of locations, expert technicians, fast repair time and a guaranteed work, all at a cost much, much, much better than those Geniuses at the Apple Store.
