Ordered bagel sandwiches and bagels were stale. BLT in particular lacked almost any Bacon on the sandwich. Small half broken slice of bacon found for a 7 dollar sandwich, called the business and employee who answered gave attitude because she had been the one that made it. Told us that what we got was the portion size they do. We explained that the sandwich didnt come close to images online. Basically told us we were lying. Dont recommend this place at all.

Good cake style bagels. Call ahead if youre getting a bunch because sometimes they sell out of some types.

We usually go a lot since this one is closer to home but that stops today! I’m guessing the older guy that works at this one is the owner or whatever but he is super rude! Plus you have to make sure you grab your own muffin if you order one or they won’t put it in your bag!!! Definitely not the first time forgetting to put stuff in our bag! Other than that all the girls that work there are super nice.

Owner was seated at counter without a mask. All other employees were compliant. I guess he feels above the rules? Very disappointing.

This BAB shop is near my home, and is just off M-6 Exit 11. We typically stop by on Saturday AM for eat-in bagels, breakfast sandwiches & coffee. Product-wise, Ive never had a bad experience. However on occasion an empty coffee urn might take a bit to get refilled, or their counter service process might not keep up if they get busy. Id recommend this store for at least one visit to see what you think.

Allowing people to sit inside during covid without a mask. No way to keep 6 ft distance and it even is against company policy. Terrible and not safe. Do not recommend. Wait until it is safe again and people adhere to the regulations

They add crazy charges after order is placed. I also ordered mini muffins and specifically didnt order muffins with chocolate but when the order came most of the order was chocolate muffins. I called there and got placed on hold for no one to pick back up the phone.

I use to come to this location a lot, My daughter basically grew up going there every morning with me and the staff was always great, and they still are but there are some things that are just not going well in my eyes.I go there for breakfast at other locations now and I usually dont have any issues yes they are always busy, and thats ok. Today though they were not very busy there was one girl in front of me and then my order that was it, I ordered two bagels, toasted with plain cream cheese. I Waited about 15 minutes for those two bagels, then get to work and the bagels were over toasted and burnt and there was barely any cream cheese on them, so needless to say I am pretty disappointed and upset. I would recommend a different location over this one these days. Other locations have more options, actually have their menu posted, and service is a bit friendlier.

I think the food and staff here are great. The bagel sandwiches always taste fresh. My only complaint is how expensive they are. I probably wouldnt come here for lunch without a coupon.

I am a faithful Big Apple customer. During the quarantine, I ordered from GrubHub instead of going to my usual Jenison location. The bagels came from the Lake Michigan Drive location and they were AWFUL! Full of air holes, no texture or flavor at all. Huge mistake, one I wont make again.

Guy (that Ive heard might be the owner?) was wearing his mask around his neck. I told him his mask slipped, he asked me to repeat myself, I told him again, and he told me Oh, get over it. Not recommended.

While the sandwich was good, the delivery of service and knowledge wasnt. When ordering at this place for the very first time I was treated rudely because when ordering a sandwich I wasnt aware we had to choose a bagel and cream cheese. The girl this morning was not helpful in any way when explaining that which left me feeling embarrassed and rushed. I will definitely never go to this location again if thats how I can expect to be treated.My recommendation? Maybe your employees shouldnt come in seemingly hungover.

I lived next to the one in East Lansing and their food was always fire so I was thrilled to be near a Big Apple Bagel here. Every time I have tried it here its been awful. I didnt know Big Apple could taste this bad. How are the bagels always burnt and also not fully toasted at the same time? Ive tried coming in several times to see if I just happened there upon a bad day but its never been even satisfactory. They use hardly any cream cheese and rarely have a large variety in stock.

Stopped in quickly for a coffee on our road trip, trying to support a local business. It was 30 minutes to closing time and we ordered an iced coffee and a mango smoothie to-go. The staff had already emptied the garbage bins and did not replace the bags, so I had to hand the barista an empty water bottle over the counter (no recycling was available). She indifferently took our order, we paid (then used the restroom, which was lovely and clean), and then she handed me our drinks without another word. The mango smoothie tasted like a drinkable version of peach yogurt and the iced coffee was not blended so the first quarter was just sipping vanilla syrup off the bottom. We paid $10 and left wishing wed just found a Starbucks.

The long-term staff members are very friendly. Bagels are tasty too and they do a senior/student discount. Im a student and this is the only place Ill go to for bagels due to the discount.

Picking up a dozen bagels took a long time. It was not even busy when I arrived. Most were soft and the people ate them. The spreads taste good.

Great bagels, great breakfast sandwiches as well. The lunch menu is also extensive, with a variety of bagel sandwiches, plus soups, chips, and pop. Good coffee as well to go with their wide selection of bagels which are the best around (yes, theyre better than Panera). My favorite is the French toast bagel, but they have all sorts including the regulars like Everything, Asiago, Blueberry, Cinnamon Raisin. But they also have more obscure flavors like Cheddar Melt, Apple Pie, Cinnamon Crunch, a bagel of the month, a muffin of the month, and much more. They have a good area for sitting to eat, but will also have your order ready super fast if youd rather get it to go.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! The staff is incredibly friendly and I always have amazing service. Worth a stop to check it out. Their food is delicious, I suggest the Southern Tradition bagel sandwich

This place is alright, they often have a great variety of bagels along with an assortment of other items (I tend to stay away from any of their breakfast items). The coffees and other specialty drinks are pretty good though. Make sure you ask for light light light butter though, otherwise you will get a soggy butter bagel. I go often, its close and friendly staff.

Best bagels that I have had in the Midwest (I am originally from Long Island). One suggestion though is to vary the toppings on the everything bagels slightly. It can use less onion and more salt.

This is the worlds slowest bagel shop! Its been 10 minutes and I still dont have my one plain bagel with cream cheese. There is a line out the door, three workers but two are working on a pre order of sandwiches. One worker went to help the guy on the register and the other worker told her go not help. Poor management of time. They need to visit s true New York Deli to see how it is done.

The bagels and sandwiches are great but only when they actually have the bagel I would like. They are normally out of all the popular bagels 70% of the time I go in. Most of the time the older lady at the counter is horribly rude. I go everyday after I get out of work on Saturday to order my favorite and they are ALWAYS out of any of the bagels I would like. So I dont order anything.

I love Big Apple Bagels, yet I was appalled at the service I witnessed the other day here. There was a man who entered looking to complete an order, he was African and had an accent, and ultimately was treated more than poorly by the cashier. She ignored, mocked, and even refused to help. He returned around 3 times to try to get the order, and was met with less than satisfactory service. I was not aware that Big Apple Bagels policy was to send away $15 to 20 orders due to not having time to deal with that, we had a line, and I dont have to serve him.. This is sad, my daughter was with me, and she witnessed this horrible behaviour. Very bad service here, seemed like the woman working the front counter was racist... sooner or later it WILL be caught on camera, so hopefully you can solve the poor customer service or youtube will drive businesses away...

My experience was horrible I ordered the southern tradition sandwich I got a piece of sausage and American cheese I asked for pepper jack I didn’t get anything I didn’t even get the type of bagel I asked for it on horrible horrible horrible !!!

The so called Bakers apparently change the recipes daily or whenever they so feel like doing so or leave things off bagels that have always since Ive ever went to BABs have been on them (including EVERY LOCATION EXCEPT FOR THERES OF COURSE! SMH disappointing when it was a fav bagel shop! I wont be back to this location ever again!

Just ok. Almost always out of muffins amd many bagel flavors by 10a. Always. Youd think theyd prep better and knowing this, theyd make more of the popular items, but not the case unfortunately. Also limited with cream cream and muffin flavors compared to other BAB stores. Usually bummed when eating here because I can never order what I intend due to them being out or simply not offering things that other BAB stores do.

Ive been here twice and every time the employees were arguing with their managers. First time the lady at the counter got mad at me for calling the dozen special bakers dozen like Paneras and told me they are not Panera. I was shocked, and obviously told her I am aware that this is not Panera because their customer service is on point! Second time was this morning when an employee walked in and the lady at the counter asked her to grab some cream cheese. She replied: I did not clock in yet, my time starts at 8. She proceeded to then wait while a bunch of us were in line... Really horrible.

Great when the owners are around but I went on a Sunday and they were out of everything and nobody knew anything/ wanted to know anything. Never again unless the owners are present!

I gave this place so many tries because its on my way to work and I love bagels and bagel accessories. But, unfortunately, the majority of the times I have been here, I was helped my some highschool kids who know nothing about customer service and act like they hate their job.On top of that, they had gotten my order wrong multiple times. Asked for a toasted bagel with cream cheese on the side... Got an un-toasted bagel with cream cheese on it..etc.My last straw was when I bit into my sandwich, I realized that the person making it didnt take the paper that separates the cheese slices off... Really?!..Now I just go a couple doors down to Biggby and get their bagel sandwich. Its actually decent and costs less.

Ive been here twice now and wont be going back again. The older woman working the counter today at 10 am 7/2/18 was rude and impatient to say the least. I asked for a provolone herb bagel and a pepperjack bagel, to which she glares at me and says You want anything done to em? I was a little taken aback by her tone but said yes, I want them toasted and with sides of jalepeno cream cheese. This got her very confused to where she needed to start over and accused me of not saying I wanted an herb provolone to begin with. She then leaned in and said in a condescending way that see, theres all these buttons I have to push that tells the kitchen what to do. To that I told her I knew that, because Ive worked in restaurants before. Her response was yeah, well... And then didnt finish her thought. Its truly unbelievable how someone who is so replaceable would act so annoyed at a simple task. And it was DEAD in there, no line at all. Couple people on laptops at the tables. Ive worked for Panera so I know her job is not complicated and yet, somehow, she still needs training. Im sure she will be replaced with a kiosk soon. And the bagels suck, go to Panera or Bagel Beanery instead.

My usual place for coffee and a muffin. It was great as usual.

Stopped in at 10:30 AM Saturday for 4 bagel sandwiches. They were out of all the typical bagels one would order. When I mentioned they were in fact a bagel store the clerk responded they were busy ... of course you were busy ... its a Saturday morning ... plan ahead ... make more knowing you will be busy. Will not ever return ... when bagels are your core competency and you fail at that maybe you should be in a different business.
