The focus here is speed and affordability, and it delivers in those regards. Though you are not going to mistake the coffee or bagels for a carefully crafted experience, there is a quite good variety of hot beverages and sandwiches. There is a convenient drive through option with reasonably fast and friendly service, but you better be a confident driver, because the space between the Bagel Beanery building and adjacent walls is very tight, evidenced by the paint and scrapes left behind by former drivers.

Visiting the area and we tried another Bagel Beanery location a few days ago (Breton Rd SE) and they set the bar super high. Came to this location and found not all locations are created equal 🥴 The food was still great - the deficiencies were in the service and the establishment. Be prepared to wait for your order. The drive through stayed busy and seemed to take precedence over those ordering inside. Factor that in when deciding if you are going to go in or drive through. It isnt super quick, but the food will be fresh. Also the dining area had a weird smell to it thats off-putting.

I love Bagel Beanery, the sun dried tomato cream cheese is my favorite. Completely unrelated, does anyone know how to get in touch with the owner? Im with a film crew that needs to park some work trucks in the vicinity of College and Michigan and theres an empty parking lot adjacent to the west of Bagel Beanery Ive got my eye on. Anyone know who owns it?

Stopped by yesterday, it’s been several years since last visit, and it was a favorite spot in past. Website mentioned whole grains in bagels but when asked which bagels had them the person taking order had no clue. Egg & cheese bagel sandwich was skimpy on the egg, and compared to an Egg McMuffin at twice the price it was no value. Next I ordered a large coffee and while the selection was good, 4 coffee carafes were empty and I ended up with lots of grounds in my cup. Too many other places to try for fast breakfast so I’ll stay away from BB.

It isnt too bad . Nothing amazing after trying a few menu items now. Unfortunately not the quality or TLC put into their meals as other bagel restaurants in neighboring towns/cities, but there is a lack of competition in GR in the scene right nowSo for what we have, it does okay. I dont think anyone would have a bad experience by any means but alas, they may not always have a great one.

Do not go here. First coffee I ever dumped. Hated it so bad I didnt want to go in and talk to him about it never coming back. Cash tip required. I get shocked constantly and coffee shop without McDonalds quality:/ I remember when Bagel Beanery had a Green and white computer in their lounge and they said it was an internet cafe...and Good, coffee...

Fresh food, hot soup, and a clean restaurant. One thing is everyone was wearing a mask and staff was very polite.

Only reason they dont get a 5-star is because they use styrofoam cups. Other than that, theyre great. Good bagels, good coffee, good service. I regularly buy whole bean vanilla frangellico here and love it as my morning brew.

Super friendly staff first of all, the coffee was pretty dang good, but MAN that El Paso omellette..... Incredible. If we come back were definitely stopping here again.

Best bagel Ive had in a long time. Had a americano coffee (a good dark but smooth roast) bagel (cream cheese and butter toasted) and sat outside on the tables enjoyed it thoroughly. And charged my phone in the outdoor outlet conveniently by the table, which was My reason for going in the first place lol. Surprisingly I also found a great bagel place. Only suggestion would be if you did a bagel cream cheese lox and tomato slices.

I really like this place - its great for grabbing coffee and a sandwich, on the go or with others. However, they dont have WiFi and, this time, the bathroom was very dirty and completely out of toilet paper.. Meanwhile, the employees seemed to be having a good time goofing around instead of making rounds and keeping up on things.

Love the food, however, I feel as though it isnt always super clean.

I was a little disappointed to see that the California Turkey was cold but maybe I missed that in the description because you can hardly read it. Can you please out some defog on the glass? Itll cost maybe $12 in product and Im sure less than that in labor. Simple fix, please resolve.

You can’t go wrong with pretty much any of the sandwiches here.. they are all really good! My fav- the chipotle turkey. But the specialty hot coffees and iced coffees are not near as strong as I would expect for a beanery. They taste good, but are very very sweet.

The drive through is very narrow! But, the coffee is wonderful and the bagels are perfect. The have a lox sandwich that is worth every dollar.

Don’t go here.My daughter and I got there 7 minutes before they close to get a bagel. The rude worker locked the door and told us we were rude for going to a restaurant 7 mins before they close and refused to serve us. We only wanted a damn bagel. With customer service like this don’t go there. We’re not going to big Apple bagels.

The bathroom was a wreck. It was like a college bar bathroom on a Saturday night. However the culprits would have been the Sunday morning church crowd. What I was most impressed about was the water damage to the wall by the toilet. Clearly its years of concerted effort from wretched bagel goblins pissing on it.

I scraped the side of my Chevy Silverado all up. It is not marked in any way that the drive thru is impossible to get thru. I tried everything I could to get thru and the posts and the turn made it impossible to go forward or back up without scraping the poles. I even had 2 other drivers get out and try to help drive it. By the time I squeezed thru, scrapping the drivers side, they said, yeah that happens all the time.

If you like a good sandwich and latte, Beagle Beanery is your place. My favorites are the Marbled Mocha Latte and the All American Club on an Apple Crisp beagle. Staff is upbeat and friendly. Facilities are well kept and casual. Food and drinks are great. I have to limit my caffeine intake due to health issues. So I do coffee once per month. Id say Beagle Beanery is a wonderful way to reward myself for living in a crazy would for thirty days between coffees.Oh and once more thing during Thanksgiving do their pumpkin spice latte. If Heaven has a taste, that would be it.

Best breakfast sandwiches in Grand Rapids. Their classic ham and swiss and San Jose are my frequent favorites, but all are on high quality bagels with solid cream cheese. Good mix of savory and sweet on their menu. Their coffee is basic but consistently smooth and in no need of extra doctoring. The drive thru is also one of their best features; perfect for people hurrying to or from work or just for picking up a take out lunch during CoVid

Food is great but if you drive anything bigger than a smart car do not try and and use their drive thruTheres no warning about how narrow it is and I had less than an inch of room on all sides of my truck and it took 3 times going back and forth to make it through

One of my favorite places to stop for a bagel sandwich in GR. I havent been here in a few years. Ordered a classic turkey bagel sandwich, an iced tea (blender was out of order for a frappe), and mac n cheese. When I parked down the road and ate, there wasnt any lettuce on my sandwich and I received no spoon or fork to eat my mac n cheese with. Besides those items and the expense, it was still pretty tasty.

Great selection of bagels and coffee. Friendly staff. Drive thru is a bit tight, so dont drive your large truck thru, or you might get stuck. Curbside delivery is an option during coronavirus. Inside has always been well kept too.

The bagel beanery has, in my mind, one of the best offerings of fresh made bagels available any place in the city. They also make a good cup of coffee, many varieties of which are available. I also enjoy their many sandwiches that they make fresh for you at your request. You can put any combination of cheeses and meats with any combination of fresh made bagels. Excellent! If you havent tried it yet you owe it to yourself to do so ASAP!

Best bagels in Grand Rapids. Coffee is fairly bland, but they knock it out of the park with their bagels. Also have great break sandwiches (no doubt good because they put it on their bagels). Interior has some seating and drive through is fairly small and close to walls. Overall great experience, friendly staff, and the bagels make me keep coming back.

The bagels here are classic, perfectly made examples of, simply, bagels. They do get creative with their specialty bagels, apple cheddar, cinnamon crunch, and these are also good, but if youre craving a classic flour - yeast - salt - boil - bake bagel, this is the place for you. Their coffee is fine. Ive never tried their sandwiches. The standout here is the classic, simple bagel.

Tried to order a signature drink marbled mocha, they made it incorrectly, so I asked them to remake it . The girl admitted she forget how to make it, then made it incorrectly again. no management to complain to, cashier was rude. no refund no drink, just a $5.85 charge for no product. the bagels are great here, but if you want hot coffee, a latte, cappuccino, or polite service go to McDonalds next door! wont be giving my unappreciated business to the Bagel Beanery anymore.

Wost bagel place ever, Id i could give then no stars i would. Came in at 7:05am I know they just open but it took over 7 min for me to get one bagel. Drive thru got there bagels. But my truck wont make the turn.

Love their Vanilla Bean Latte. Super yummy food with fairly quick service. The only downside is the lack of parking and the squeeze in the drive through. Whatever you do do not take a large car or van through the drive through. Seriously just dont. The environment is clean and they have a public restroom.

Some of my favorite bagels and coffee in Grand Rapids, but I unfortunately can’t give 5 stars because the service isn’t always the best, and I’m not fully sold on all their sanitary practices to be completely honest. More than once I’ve seen them use my personal cup to scoop ice into it when I’ve asked for ice water in the drive thru. I usually end up with a fair amount of coffee grounds in my brewed coffee, which is a bummer because the coffee itself tastes amazing. My favorite is the Breakfast Blend or Kona. The food is always really good. The bagels are soft even after being toasted, and they don’t skimp on cream cheese! If you get a breakfast sandwich, I recommend the Breakfast Duo on an Asiago Cheese bagel.
