I am very disappointed in the service (extreme lack of) that I received with Monro. I made two separate appointments with this location. One last week, which I called to confirm 30mins before to be told that they have staffing issues and I would need to reschedule. Good thing I called! I reschedule for today, one week later. Confirmed on the phone with the supervisor. I get to the location today and they are closed do to staffing. I understand short staff - But call a customer and let them know!I will not be trying a third time. BEWARE!!!

My husband and I were traveling through Grand rapids when we were traveling up north. We got a tire pressure alert and were able to be worked into the schedule at Monro immediately to check for any issues. They were able to easily identify the issue and fix it quickly and get us back on the road. They were so friendly and helpful.

The team at Monro Auto is excellent. I regularly go there for oil changes, but Ive also had larger work done at Monro as well. The pricing is very competitive and the service is top-notch. Theyve gone above and beyond for me on multiple occasions. On one occasion the manager stayed after hours so that I could pick up my vehicle that day. On another occasion he walked me through how to perform a specific type of maintenance on my car so that I could learn myself. Would definitely recommend them if you need work done by an auto shop in Grand Rapids.

Helping out so we did not get stranded...Low pressure light on the way up North on the south side of Grand Rapids. I could see a screw in the tire and it would not hold air.This Monro location got me in at 5pm on Saturday and quickly patched the hole. Awesome service, upfront pricing. Highly recommend.

I give Monro Auto 5 stars and def recommend because they go above and beyond. The costumer service here is the absolute best. They don’t charge you for things they don’t have to like some money hungry places and I really respect that. I had my car towed there to get looked at due to my engine being locked. Because I couldn’t drive it home they gave me more than enough time to come and get my car without rushing me to get it out of their way. When me and my Dad showed up to tow the car home we couldn’t get it onto the trailer after numerous times of trying to push it up the ramp. William came out and helped us get it up there while they were short handed and busy because he saw us struggling. Because he did that it saved me almost $100 on another tow to get it home. That meant a lot to me because for one he didn’t have to do that and two I had already spent almost all of my money on trying to get another car on the road. That’s all on top of him not charging me because indeed my engine was locked. If you want honest and friendly service, staff that’ll go above n beyond for you, take your car here, their prices beat most places. Thanks again William! Your help was much appreciated!

Brought my vehicle in for a next day appointment for an oil change, tire puncture fix, rotation and wheel balance for the first time - a competitor had a week and a half waiting period for appointments. The rates were reasonable. The store itself is nothing special, but looks can be deceiving. Both the person who worked the counter and the female technician did a great job, were communicative, honest, thorough and didnt cut any corners. Better experience than my car dealership service center where I went in the warranty period.

This was my first time getting my car serviced on my own, I am a 19 y/o girl and I was nervous from the typical rumors of women getting scammed the most by car places. However all my fears were put to rest from the first phone call with them! I talked to William the most, he was kind, helpful, and very informative over the phone and in person and did great work on my car for a great price! I will be coming back here for all future repairs and would suggest others do the same!

Brought in my vehicle to inspect our rear wiper fluid tube which was leaking inside the vehicle. Because it is under warranty, we are supposed to have a 1-hr diagnostic appointment, seek approval for the repair from the warranty company, and then have a second repair appointment. Because this was a minor issue, the team at Monro decided to make the simple repair ON THE SPOT, FREE OF CHARGE, and thus avoid all the hassle of the warranty company. With several kids in tow, the relief of not having a second appointment is an even bigger blessing than the free repair. I was back in the car with my kids 15 minutes after I had arrived. Many thanks to the kind people at Monro!

William and his team were phenomenal! I had an emergency today and he fit me right in. The team did an excellent job working together getting things done. Even tho they were extremely busy, everything moved like clockwork! The customer service was incredible. I will certainly be back because I know I can trust the work they did. They were able to get me an appointment, same-day, quickly, and for a VERY fair price. While waiting for my car, I observed that they treated every customer with respect and great service.

Took my Jeep here for an oil change and it took an hour and a half while I waited in the shop. Gave them another shot and had them replace my muffler. Told me it wouldnt take too long. After two hours I asked roughly how much longer. I was told fifteen minutes and after over an hour it was finally done, only to have be rattling and having issues less than a week later. I was told the wait was because they had to change a tank on the welder. Come to find out they never even put in a weld, and just clamps. Dont waste your time and go right to muffler man!

I had a small bolt in my tire that I discovered in the late morning, and they were able to take care of it the same day! On a Sunday, no less. The employees were incredibly helpful, and pricing was very reasonable. I highly recommend this location!

Used Amazons ship-to-store installation for new tires on our Jeep. First time using this service and it wentoff without a hitch. No issues. The person who assisted (believe he was the manager) was professional, polite, and most importantly checked our tires and lug nuts before letting us leave the shop. Very likely that well be returning for other services they offer.

I stopped in needing simple help with pounding a tire off. They got me right in and helped me very reasonably and so quick. Def will be back when I need more help in the future!

These guys were fantastic. They offered to stay late and help my son with tire replacement on a Sunday. Very courteous and polite. I will do all my business at this location. I wish I could remember the young mans name who helped us (maybe Trevor or Tyler ?) but he was just a super guy. They were busy but you could tell he was committed to helping everyone. Just a great team !!

I got a flat tire on my way home from work and was luckily able to make it here. Shane was the only one there and was able to help me right away. They ended up not having the tires I needed so he had one of their mechanics go get my tires OFF THE CLOCK. Shane even worked on the tire prices the best he could. 5 star service.

Shane and William are a good pair at running this business. I scheduled an appointment to have my a/c worked on, I went in at the apt. Time and didn’t wait long before my vehicle was brought in. William told me what was needed and soon It was done and I was out the door. Good people, good prices. Would go back again.

My car recently broke down. I brought it to Monroe because they have been honest and fairly priced with me ever since i started going to them a year ago. They found the issue quickly and were honest about how much they thought it would cost to fix but I wasnt sure the vehicle was worth fixing. They were patient with me leaving my car there while i figured out my options. When I came back to pick it up, the battery was dead. They were extremely helpful, even to the point of going to their own cars and getting a box to jump my car. That car is gone but I will continue using them with my new vehicle. They have always fixed my cars completely and cheaper than other places.

Sean is by far the most honest and upfront manager. He went above and beyond to ensure my safety. He wasn’t concern about the invoice but focused more on establishing a relationship with the customer. He has gained my trust and my vehicles will only come to him. Before you take your BMW to the stealership, call Sean for an honest quote.

Heard a grinding noise in my back breaks, I just relocated 8 months ago, and with Covid, I hadnt had an opportunity to find a solid auto shop. However, I figured it didnt matter where I was, I was lookingglooking forward to sitting in a car repair shop for hours then be upsold all these things I probably didnt need and swindled and gauged out of hundreds. Not Monro, I made an appointment online, brought my car in, they checked it out (10-15min) the lobby was super clean, empty and I felt safe. It took about 10 min, he even brought one of us back there to look, he then explained the price which was around what I knew breaks and rotors to costs, no price gauging or upselling. He told me that it would take an hour or so and we were welcome to wait in lobby, I agreed, and proceeded to wait, however it only took 20 min out the door. What a pleasant experience I will definitely be back, Unfortunately, I do not have any friends yet, but if I did, ide highly recommend! I wish I could remember the mechanic who was working that day, Unfortunately, I do not, but it was Wednesday morning 12/2/2020.

I trust the people who work here. In my dealings with them, they have been incredibly fair, helpful, honest and are willing to explain any issues and answer all my questions. The only drawback is that they are SO good, so they are often very busy and very full. I would not let that keep you from using their services though.

Shawn and the guys were great to work with. Walked in with a flat tire, they quickly patched it (better than a plug) and put it back on my truck for $20. I worked in auto repair for 30 years and after talking to them you get a feeling that they are doing things the right way.

Came in stressed with a fussy baby, everyone here was so respectful. They took care of my car efficiently and affordable! This place will take care of you. I went to the Jeep dealership across the street twice because I had a tire that was losing air and they didn’t fix anything. The guys at Monro found a nail and gave a quote for service and didn’t charge me anything to identify the problem.

Great customer service! My brakes started grinding horribly without any warning. We called on a Saturday around noon and they could get me in at 3 that same day. John is Awesome!!! We came to Grand Rapids for my nieces birthday party, and when we got to our car we had a flat. Made it to their location and i had a nail in my tire, they fixed us right up. Super friendly, and the bathroom... Never have i been to any auto shop with a clean bathroom, but Johns bathroom was so Clean and Fresh smelling, me and my mom were Pleasantly Surprised!!! I was very impressed by the customer service I received. My GMC Terrain was in need of new brake pads and rotors, but I was not particularly familiar with the process. The manager, John, was friendly and insightful and made me feel comfortable with the repairs needed. I was able to take advantage of a great deal they were running and left the shop with all 4 sets of pads and rotors replaced for a very reasonable price. The service technician gave me some great pointers regarding the new pads as well. I brought the vehicle in, had it diagnosed, and had the replacements done on all 4 wheels in a total of less than 3 hours. To me, that is fantastic turnaround on a walk-in appointment. I have been turned away from competitors even when I just need tires rotated because “I didn’t have an appointment”. Not these guys though! 5 stars all the way around.

Very friendly staff; I didn’t have an appointment but they inspected my car, told me what was wrong, and fixed it for me. One of the problems was the alignment and it seems it’s still off, but I’m not bothered that it’s off. The manager was super friendly and made me feel like I wasn’t a bother despite them still having to fix my car 45 minutes after they closed!

I came in with a bent rim and the guys who work there is so great, they took me home to get extra rims and put my tires on.....FOR FREE!!! I highly recommend this establishment. 💯

I took it to them to look at it and they took the time to show me around $3,000 worth of rust damage under the vehicle.These guys are not afraid to tell you how it is, and theyve earned my business and recommendation to anyone in the area!

I can only give these guys for stars because even though they had really great service and totally worked with me on the price they told me that my car would be ready in about an hour and when I called later that day again told me an hour and when I called again they were still finishing up. It was frustrating because they could have just been honest with me from the beginning. It was a holiday and they were working and there was nowhere else to go I still would have used them I just would have known how to plan my day better.

Great customer service by the assistant manager. Friendly and knowledgeable. I needed a tire patched on a Sunday, not many places are open and it was done within 30 minutes. I would definitely recommend Monro Auto Service if you need brake work or new tires.

Amazing service. Called ahead of time to see if they would do exhaust work. John the manager said he would take a look. Got there at about 6pm, they got the car on the lift and told me they would do it. 7:20 and the new muffler is welded on and ready to go. Super friendly people, and they stayed late to get it on for me.

Had a tire with a leak and found a nail was the cause. They were open on Sunday and had the ability to get us right in and fixed right away.

Submitting my review while I wait here in the shop for my oil to be changed. Just overheard the owner call a woman back and tell her that she didn’t need brakes. Took the time to explain why she may have been hearing a noise and why her brakes were in good condition. Don’t know about you, but I think too often if given the opportunity to make a sale the average person would take it. Appreciated the lead managers’ honesty and willingness to educate.This on top of them being able to squeeze me in last minute for an oil change this afternoon and actually got me in on time.

I had just had my oil changed up the road and they told me I had a screw in my tire so I stopped real quick at Munro Muffler. Not only did they fix my tire right away, but he also told me they do full repairs. And Wednesday is ladies day!!!! Stop in ladies for a good price. Nice guys!!!
