Finding John was a blessing. He is the most straightforward, honest mechanic that I have ever had. I trust him completely with our cars. Can not recommend him enough.

Very friendly mechanic here. You can tell his focus is on people and service. He has great interpersonal skills. I have never been overcharged or felt like I was being taken advantage of. This is my go to place if I need work done on my car. It is quick, reasonably priced and has a family feel to it. I have had work down on my air conditioner and had my my cruise control function fixed here. It really is a neighborhood garage.

Easily the most honest, fairly priced mechanic in the area, if not Grand Rapids. He tells you what you need, doesnt try to talk you into unnecessary repairs or charge you for simple projects. And best of all, he does a good job. I would and have recommended John at J&H to almost all of my friends in the area. Cant beat convince and fair pricing. It also helps hes a good guy.

John is overall just a good human being. He was honest and suggested I go elsewhere for a lower price for my truck. I would trust him to work on any of my vehicles. If you need anything worked on he is the guy.

This is the best auto shop I have ever been to. I started going in college when I took my car to Firestone to get fixed and they said it would be $2000 and I took it here on a recommendation and it was $500 for the same fix. Since then I have only been treated fairly and everything is done in a timely manner. No complaints ever. Always willing to put in a headlight for me or check out my car for no cost. THE BEST PLACE IN TOWN!

I havent yet experienced their service but they seem to be very knowledgeable. They have everything that they do and connections for everything else. It also seems as though they are a Christian owned business but Im not positive on that one. They definitely act like it.

I got an oil change at one of those quick drive thrus and they cut one of my spark plugs with the oil cap. I stopped by on the way back and John had it replaced within an hour. Highly recommend!!!!

Hands down the most honest and trustworthy mechanic I have ever taken my vehicles too. He uses quality parts and charges a very fair price. Never tries to up sell me on things that are not needed, but will let me know what to plan for in the near future for repair. He makes you feel like a valuable customer and appreciated.

I have taken my cars to John for as long as he has been at his present location (20 years ?). I cannot imagine anywhere one could get better service. John is knowledgeable, inexpencive and is also a very kind soul. I highly recommend him.

For the first time in Grand Rapids, a mechanic listened to me when I asked him to drive it around the block before looking at it. He was able to diagnose the issues I was talking about and fixed them very quickly. John is awesome!

John was extremely friendly and helpful with my car problems! I was told hed have a diagnosis on my car by noon, and by 10:30am he already had a diagnosis and was working on the issue! It was fixed up and ready to go by 11:30, and John was more than willing to work with me on a time to pick it up after work. John at J & H is AMAZING! I used to take my car to Veenstras...DO NOT TAKE IT HERE! Theyre crooks who gave me faulty parts and then told me I should have paid for something better. Someone told me to go to J & H and Ive never looked back. Hes trustworthy, fair, and always helps out in a pinch...even filling up my tires mid winter when they were low. I wouldnt trust my car anywhere else.

I am so mad at myself for not coming here years ago! I live and work in the neighborhood, and am so glad to have an honest and fair, quick and quality mechanic so close by. He (I think his name is John?) was prompt in returning my call (I called after close, he called back the next morning), friendly, honest, and didnt talk down to me like a lot of mechanics tend to do to young women. My car was fixed shortly after I dropped it off, and for a fair price. I have multiple friends who have brought their cars here as well, and each of them was equally as pleased. Highly recommend!

John is a great guy and a straight shooter. Even though Ive moved out of Easttown I still drive my vehicles to him because hes the most trustworthy mechanic ive found in this area.He cant always do the major overhaul stuff, but will recommend another honest place that does anything he cant.
