I left this 5 star review 3 days ago when I brought my car in. In that 3 day span they managed to be so great I wish I could add more stars! When I say this shop really tries and cares for the people it helps I mean it! They helped show each problem with my car minor big everything then helped me with the price a little so I could actually afford the bill. Then they gave me a ride home and picked me back up when it was ready been driving all day and really happy with how it feels and runs and can definitely tell work was done. They helped me make a hard decision with knowledgeable guys in there. I appreciate this shop and will not be using any other shop ever again! You guys got me for life! Thanks again.

Took a new-to-me Civic. Turns out the engine mount was cracked. They were very detailed and professional. Ended up having them replace my engine because why not in this market. Andrew was really really good at putting up with me, as this was my first big repair ever.Honestly, 5 stars just for tolerating my questions, let alone the professional work. Will be coming back for my maintenance from now on.

I drove to Grand Rapids this morning from Columbus, Ohio to make a delivery and needed to get back to Ohio as soon as possible.. Along the way my wheel bearing started groaning loudly. Called them before 8am and they got me in immediately, quickly diagnosed the problem and had me back on the road in less than 2 hours. Could have been faster but they kindly dropped me off at a local restaurant for breakfast and called to tell me it was finished before I was done. Price was great, including a nationwide warranty on the part and a veterans discount. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this shop!!!

They scheduled my appointment to diagnose and find issues for 108$ when I get there they told me 120$ per hour and they act like they didnt know my car issue while they asked 40 different questions while I was scheduling. I told them that I have appointment and they told me 108$ but they were like 120$ per hour for diagnoses.I just waste my time going there 2 times and waste the time I wait 3 days until my appointment. I dont know how they get 4.4 review. Funny

What I loved about Christian Brothers is the amazing customer service. They offer complimentary service where they can pick you up from home and bring you to the shop once your car is done being serviced. It is very helpful because we all know car problems are stressfull enough. I also love that they provide videos and photos of the vehicles diagnostic. I am really happy that I brought my vehicle to them to get fixed. I will be a returning customer for sure!

My car died in the Meijer parking lot next to their business, I walked to their shop, and even without an appointment they took my car in, and had the starter fixed next day. They even pushed my car to their shop for me, did not charge to tow or anything. They also had a shuttle to get me to work. They are a bit more expensive, but its definitely worth it, especially since there is a warranty on the part/service they provide. I would definitely return to them in the future for any work.

I was incredibly impressed at the level of honesty this place had. My co-op student from out of town damaged their transmission on some new speed bumps that were way too high (I broke my bottom plate as well registering zero). The truck wouldnt shift into park! Christian Brothers could have easily kept it for a day or two and given her a great deal on a transmission repair but instead they repaired it for free. They quickly discovered debris lodged in a spot, removed it and sent her on her way. SO if youre a lone female with out of state plates theyll treat you right!

Routine oil change took about 40 minutes longer than it should have, but I was informed this was due to a trainee learning on the job. I didnt particularly mind because I had free time, but they provided the service free of charge due to the extra wait without even being asked. Very friendly, personable, reasonable. Just started here because I needed a new shop and they havent disappointed a single time. Quality work and customer service.

Top notch group of folks that really go the extra mile to make the experience the best possible. Theyre fast, thorough, efficient, and thoughtful. I was offered a drink while waiting, a shuttle, and took the time to explain everything to me and text me their progress and estimate along the way. I cant imagine taking my business anywhere else after this. Facilities are clean and welcoming, staff knowledgeable and friendly. I even got pictures included of my inspection. Game changer compared to other shops and dealerships that Ive been to.

Unfortunately I did not have a great experience with Christian Auto, they replaced my tie rods (inner and outer) they said it was a big safety hazard, but after communicating with a mechanic and my father in law I come to find out it shouldn’t have cost more than a few hundred dollars max for labor and parts. I unfortunately didn’t realize it at the time but they wayyyyyy overcharged me for it. Not to mention the inner tie rods may not have needed to be changed at all, They charged me over 1,000$ total and that wasn’t even the half of what they wanted to do (everything they wanted to do on my car would’ve cost me over 6,000$ That’s way more than what my car is even worth, which is ridiculous) just look at what the other bad reviews say, they said the same thing; around 6,000$ ! I’m so glad I didn’t let them do anything else to my car, I can easily have someone else do the rest for way cheaper. (If it even needs to be done) I’m not trying to bash on them, but I don’t want someone else to get completely ripped off. They seemed very nice but unfortunately they took advantage of me and were not very honest. I would definitely not recommend them.

I live in Texas but my son attends college in Grand Rapids. I have a place to take my vehicles where I live so, finding a reputable place in an unfamiliar city is a chore.My sons truck needed to be serviced so I gave CBA a try.I had the chance to watch the service advisors work and as several customers came in and out, I did not see or hear them sell a service not needed. I even watched one advisor go out to make sure a customers vehicle used a timing belt.CBA opened a new facility in my area a few years ago and if my current auto shop disappoints me or I need a second opinion I will go to CBA.For now if my sons vehicle has any issues CBA is our choice.

Had my cars oil changed at C B A. The staff was courteous and efficient. They completed the service in an orderly fashion. The tech noted that both the cabin n engine air filters needed to be changed.Doug

I have brought my car in for a few different issues. They always call me in a timely matter with what the issue is, how much it will cost and about how long it will take to fix everything. They always check the fluids, tires, etc. and let me know if anything else should be done, how soon I should have it done, and the cost. They are always courteous and respectful. I will continue to bring my car here for repairs in the future.

I had an issue with my transmission, so I called and they told me to come on over. They came out to my car and looked under the hood just to make sure nothing was going on, per my request. I left my car there so they could take a look under it. It turned out to be a simple fix for which they did not charge me and Im very grateful. Great experience with Christian Brothers Automotive! I had recently been less than happy with service from my dealership, and after reading some favorable on-line reviews, I decided to try Christian Brothers. They provided excellent service, were very thorough in fixing my vehicle, and worked very efficiently! I received complimentary rides home and back to the garage, which was very convenient. I would strongly recommend this business!!

I went to have some work done on my vehicle and it was efficient and staff were communicative. Following the work, I noticed a rattling sound in my car and it turned out a plastic piece on the interior had snapped. I called back to see if it might have happened during the work they had done, and while they were pretty sure it couldn’t have been done by their staff (it was in a different area than where they were working), they still ordered a replacement and installed it free of charge.

So so professional. Never had a time where I felt like they were out for money Vs me getting my car fixed. I’ve have had my car fix several times and they are the only place my car has been serviced in the five years I’ve had it. I have Moore to fix on my car, but Christian Brothers will be doing it all. I was overly impressed with this place. I found me the best auto repair shop ever. There reviews were very impressive as well. It is very hard to find such an honest, reliable and welcoming auto repair shop these days and this company is it. I will be taking all my automotive business there as well as recommending them to everyone I know. They even had my automobile ready way sooner than I expected. They found the problem right away and got it fixed right away. Other shops say my automobile would be ready by such a time and then I had to wait until they got around to fixing it a few DAYS later. I am more than pleased with this place so far.

Oh my goodness, picked up a giant eyebolt in my tire resulting in a flat tire this morning barely made into their location. They were so kind, got me in and out in under 20 mins not that it was a bad wait cause their lobby area is so clean! Thank you. We will be back!

Ive gone to CBA the last several times our vehicles have needed work. Ive really appreciated the clarity of the estimate, the speed of getting work done, and the honest of the staff. If something needs to be done for the car to be safe, they tell you that. If it might be nice to do something but its not essential, they tell you that too. Ive been very happy with their service.

Great place! Staff very friendly. After my car was inspected to see what was causing the problem (squealing brakes and a burning smell), they gave me a detailed inspection report, complete with pictures and descriptions. Once I looked at the work they determined needed to be done, I decided to try my own hand working on the car problems with my handy dad. In spite of this decision, the staff at CBA remained very kind and offered to come shuttle me to their location so I could pick up my car (since otherwise I would have had to Uber there, since CBA had my car)! Free shuttle, no charge. Good conversation in the shuttle on the way there. Thank you, Brooke, for your kindness! I would recommend this place.

The mechanic did a very thorough inspection of a vehicle I was interested in buying and identified issues that would have cost me thousands to repair. They were very professional and even showed me photos of problem areas. I appricate their close eye and honesty.

We had a great experience with Christian Brothers Auto in Grand Rapids. I dropped off the car and they gave me & my kids a ride home, called and picked us up when the issue (A/C not working) was resolved. It was faster than they estimated and the customer service was great! Waiting area was comfortable also but with 3 kids it was nice not to have to wait there. Never want to have car issues but will be back when we have issues again!

Thank goodness I know my car because if I didnt I would have paid $6,500+ (as was quoted) for a car that is worth, at max, $3,000.I really dont want to say these guys used predatory tactics, because I enjoyed the overall look and feel of the place. But, I wouldnt trust my car to be there another time. I asked for a 200,000 mile check up and got back a listing of parts that needed to be replaced from the sensible to the obscene, and everything in between.So I took my car to my local mechanic, got some much appreciated affirmation that what CBA listed as needing to be replaced was pretty weird, and only spent $1,000 for my car repair.

From the welcoming and friendly gentleman who greeted me upon opening the entrance door at Christian Brothers Automotive, down to the final paperwork, my experience was positive and satisfying. The job was completed while I waited and went by quickly, as I sat in the comfortable and clean customer waiting area. The final work tally was exactly as quoted, no surprises. My drive home was wonderfully quiet and smooth. No more noise! I highly recommend Christian Brothers Automotive for your car needs. A few months back they replaced my MAF sensor, they charged me about $230 for the sensor and $110 for labor. My fault, I didn’t know much about cars back then.However, their MAF sensor turned out to be an aftermarket and it was making my engine hesitate. For months I didn’t know what the problem was, until someone pointed out it was an aftermarket. They suggested I try an OEM. I bought an OEM MAF sensor for less than $100 and installed it myself in just 5 minutes.The problem was gone! It turned out to be the MAF sensor Christian Brothers installed.I was certainly overcharged for both the labor and the part.

I have had my Jeep Liberty serviced here several times and have had a great experience every time! The employees were very friendly and customer satisfaction oriented. I highly recommend coming to this Christian Brothers, I surely am taking my car nowhere else. They give it to you straight and don’t try to make you overspend which is awesome for me as a college student with a tight budget. I go to the place I can trust. 5 stars!

Christian Brothers Auto took great care of me when the dealership failed. I had an accident and had repairs performed at a dealership. When I got my care back. It had a noise I never heard before. And they told me there was nothing else they could do for me. So I continued to drive the vehicle until my vehicle broke down on me. Had it towed to Christian Brothers where they listen to my story and contacting my insurance. Come to find out my all wheel drive system had also been damage in my accident and was never reported to my insurance company by the dealership. Christian Brothers had my insurance company come back out to view this issue and was able to approve the work truly needed. If not I did not have the money to fix a problem that should have been correctly the first visit at the dealership. I would recommend Christian Brothers Automotive to anyone.

The entire experience was exactly what every automotive repair experience should be.I arrived at 5:15pm (they close at 6) and explained the problems my Jeep was having. They took down notes, and explained they would look into the matter in the morning. They offered to drive me home at no cost, and/or a coffee/pop/snacks for the ride. My driver was nice and willingly drove me to the other side of town during rush hour.The next morning they text me to let me know they started working on my Jeep to diagnose the problem. They then called me that afternoon and explained what they thought was wrong and what it would cost and what other repairs or maintenance they recommended. They didnt try to sell me on what I didnt need either.Finally, they followed up with me over the phone a couple days later to see if the problem had been addressed and that my car was running properly.Excellent service; even if I have to pay a bit extra I will.

Recently had an unfortunate day. Battery died, starter died, crankshaft sensor, and camshaft sensor went bad on my truck. Not a big deal, replaced them myself. Truck still wouldnt start. Cranked over, but no spark. Im a machinery mechanic, not an auto mechanic. Figured it was time to bring it to the experts. And the technicians at Christian Bros are definitely experts! They were quick to identify the faulty wire on the crank sensor. Also found that both sensors I replaced new, were not good. They quoted me a price that i found was excessive for the parts & labor. Especially on a 2000 Sierra with over 200k miles thats been driven less than 1k the last year. I decided to not have the work done & do it myself again.If you have a newer vehicle, with lower mileage, that you drive often, they would be first choice. Not quite the case with my situation.The facility is very clean. Knowledgeable staff. Sent a very detailed report of everything they found.

I just got my car back from the Christian Brothers Automotive, and couldnt be happier with my experience.I know absolutely nothing about cars, so when my coolant was constantly empty and my heat monitor through the roof, I didnt know who to call. I asked around, and Christian Brothers was the only one who could take my car in the next day! They were super friendly on the phone and happy to help me with my situation.I took my car in at 7:30 am, anticipating the dreaded wait time of having a car in the shop. Not only was their waiting room charming and air conditioned, but they kindly offered to drop me off wherever I needed to go for free as it might take a while. I was floored by the kindness I received, and was immediately put as ease by the professionalism.By 11:00 am, they had finished fixing the problem (could go into detail there but Im not going to embarrass myself by trying to describe it and getting it wrong) and my car was ready to go! They told me that if I had any problems with it to bring it back in as it would probably be under their warranty.I was thoroughly impressed with my service there, and would not go anywhere else. Took our car in for service Thursday morning, and they said it would be done Friday morning. We called Friday morning, and they said it would be done by 5-6pm. We called at 5:00pm and they said it would be done in about 20 minutes, so we headed over and waited til about 5:25 and then asked what the ETA was, and the guy talked to the tech while we watched from the waiting room, and after he was done, he disappeared for another 10 or so minutes. At this point, Im 10 minutes late to work, and he comes back and says they ordered the wrong part. So, we tell him to just put the old part on and well come back later. They do that, and at this point its about 5:45. The car was still up in the air til about 6:10, at which point we asked how much longer it will be, and they said about 15-20 minutes. So we asked if they could take me to work since I was 40 minutes late already, and they did, while my fiance waited for the car. They still hadnt even changed the breaklight either. Zero communication whatsoever unless we forced it out of them, and no apologizing at all. The time-frame would have been fine if we had been told that in the beginning, but we expected the car 8-10 hours earlier in the day. In all likelihood, because we dropped off our car to wait, they probably kept pushing it back further and further to do quick cars like oil changes or bulb changes. Thats fine, but they should have let us know, and they really should have ordered the proper part. And definitely changed the bulb, thats not a long job. At least we got the big things fixed I guess, but we wont be going back. Oh, and the first time we went, they charged an $80 diagnostic fee without consulting me, after I told them what was wrong with the car. It needed a new fuel filter, and I told them it was leaking, but they decided they needed to check other things first.

Over the years and with five family cars, I entrust Christian Brothers with all my automotive maintenance and repairs needs. Some repairs are routine and other repairs prove to be challenges for the technicians. Every encounter I have with Christians Brothers is met with responsive, personalized, and competent attention to every detail. Their service fees are always competitive, and many times a simple repair goes without a charge. This week I had an especially challenging repair that stumped the technicians. They were persistent. They were accommodating to my needs for an alternative car. They had every right to charge me the full and customary labor fees and retail parts cost. They did not. With humility and concern for my inconvenience, they did not assess two-days of labor costs, and they extended to me the wholesale price for the parts! I have not family or personal affiliation with anybody there. I am just a regular customer. I have no reason to go anywhere else for my automotive needs. These people give me more reasons every time to come to them.

My oil dip stick broke off on my van, I called to see if they could look at it for me, I was there within 15 minutes, they looked at it and had it replaced with in about 10 minutes, I am so incredibly impressed by their staff. Thank you Cody!

Ok...my best experience ever with a car repair! These wonderful people fixed my window that fell in my door. Not my greatest moment with all the snow and rain lately. Truly a remarkable place. I just recently left Christian Brothers as a auto technician for family reasons. The staff was incredibly supportive and my last two weeks were sadly great. This company is truly founded on the core of christianity and is far from the cliche crooked automotive repair shops around theses days. If you want great customer service and your vehicle serviced with integrity this is the place to go in Grand Rapids! I will forever miss working for such great people in such an honest and true environment.

HONEST, QUALITY SHOP- Ive never been so satisfied with an automotive shop. These guys truly are a cut above the rest. As a car guy, I do most maintenance myself, and Im skeptical of many dealers/shops. First, my exhaust fractured and they repaired it the same day without an appointment. I then had severe clutch engagement problems arise. I had ruled out the hydraulic pumps and lines and was prepared to buy a new clutch so I told them to put one on order. One of their technicians took an extensive look at the entire clutch assembly and found it was a clutch fork issue (much less in repairs). Instead of following through with the clutch assembly they had ordered and make more money, they cancelled the order, fixed the issue, and I was charged a small fraction of what I was initially quoted. Talk about honesty and integrity! That right there sold me; these guys are the pinnacle of what auto shops should be. Communication was exceptional and the shuttle service was a huge plus. Christian Brothers, thank you for proving theres still honest, quality shops out there; youve gained another repeat customer and I will be referring you to others!

First time going to CBA. Impala was diagnosed with a bad BCM. They did an awesome job with my car and I was pleased with how honest they were. They will definitely get my business again. Also.... The courtesy shuttle was also a nice gesture they offer.

They didNot hit me over the head with over price items. Got my vehicle back in three days.My Acura MDX wasn’t turning on. After buying new battery and watching YouTube videos nothing wasn’t working. I even call FoxAcura on 28th to set up service appointment but they never reach out fast enough and I need this suv back. This company gave me a good referral towing number that came in 30 mins to tow my vehicle to Christian Brothers. I was very excited to get calls when new updates came in about my vehicle. I also like the text message alerts too. I’m very glad I decided to do business with this company vs Acura dealership that never return my call. I would recommend them for your automotive problems.

I had an incredible experience at Christian Brothers. My husband was out of the country and our brakes were grinding. I popped in with my toddler and asked if they could look at them quick to see if I could wait a week to get them replaced. They immediately checked them out and said the car wasnt safe to drive. They committed to getting the car repaired by the next day and offered me a shuttle ride home. They even helped move and install the car seat! The staff was kind, honest, attentive, quick and professional. The brakes were replaced within 24 hours and the shuttle picked me up. I was an overseas customer and was recommended Christian Brothers Automotives from a respected vehicle inspector in the area.Straight from the first point of contact with Nate until the very end when my beloved classic was ready the whole process in dealing with these guys was professional, honest and enjoyable. Any request or questions I had were dealt with very quickly and nothing was a problem for these guys and they always had the solutions and answers to anything I asked of them. I have dealt with many repair shops in my time but I would go as far to say that Christian Automotive was one of the best if not the best I have dealt with for their knowledge experience and the actual skilled work they carried out. Great experience over all. I used another local mechanic for years and after getting several well that just seems high estimates from him I finally decided to shop around. Christian Brothers was literally 1/2 the price of the guy whose been working on my vehicles for years. Christian Brothers shuttle service had me at the office after only a 5 minute wait. Their shop is super clean and the waiting room is well stocked with reading materials. Denny was very informative and patient with my questions. When I got back over to pick up my truck it was freshly washed. Nice touch! Even though my old mechanic is a short walk from my office, I will strongly recommend Christian Brothers to my office mates after having such a great experience. Thanks!

This is our second experience with Christian Brothers. The first experience was flawless. Excellent customer service and quality repair. This time it wasnt as smooth. CB replaced an axle, wheel bearing, sensors, front and rear pads and rotors, and rear bushings. When we got the car back it was immediately obvious something was wrong. It turns out they did not torque the bolts on the rear driver caliper and it came loose. Why then 5 stars? Integrity. They admitted their mistake and handled the repair. They offered us a shuttle, free rental car, and even refunded a portion of the repair to make it right. To find an honest mechanic is a blessing. Their focus on customer service is a rare thing. Their 2 year, 24,000 mile (which ever benefits you most) warranty is amazing. We will be back a 3rd time. Humans make mistakes. Excellent humans own their mistakes and make it right.

I trust CB to fix my car, and they do it and they do a great job. Mike is AWESOME and is helpful from beginning to end. Very knowledgeable and experienced mechanic who can explain things to me in a way that I can understand (as I know nothing about cars!)The owner, Kurt, is a great guy too and even does the shuttles! I have had nothing but positive experiences with Christian Brothers Automotive.

We took our GMC Acadia to replace a starter. They did a very thorough inspection and found several other items that we didn’t even know needed fixing! Christina and Erik were so amazingly helpful! Christian Brothers Automotive is the best Automotive shop in Grand Rapids. Everytime I come here the staff is exceptional with customer service. They go over and explain everything that needs to be fixed or checked with your vehicle. The waiting room/lobby is comfortable. They even offer shuttle services if you need to work or something while your car is being fixed.

We recently took our car to Christian Brothers to have a head gasket replaced. I had called ahead of time and they told me the repair would run between $1200-$1600. I said thats what I figured and brought it in the next day. They called me the following day and in addition to the head gasket, read me a litany of things they were going to do (coolant flush, oil change, etc). He also said we have the water pump out as well so you might as well fix that. Final estimate? $3,500! They just assumed I would have all of it done, they werent recommendations - they included them in the estimate. They sent me an itemized list and I discovered that although their labor charges are fair, their part markups are insane! We ended up taking it to our old mechanic, an hour away. His charge of parts? $700, Christian Brothers charge for same parts $1500! I will never recommend or take my car to Christian Brothers.

My engine started to sputter and it kept getting worse. Within a week or two it started to shake violently and I knew I had to take it in but was scared of the high cost of engine repairs. A friend referred me to Christian Brothers saying they did excellent work for him and gave him the lowest quote. I was completely surprised by the outstanding work they did for me at a reasonable price. My car runs better than ever! Also the friendly staff and free shuttles are an added benefit if this shop.

Nobody likes to have to bring their car in for repairs or maintenance because it usually means a nice chunk of change, but at least when I go to Christian Brothers for needed services Im treated well.The staff is always friendly and willing to explain details. The waiting room is BEYOND clean. They are pretty quick and efficient when it comes to getting the job done. When they tell you a wait time they are generally spot on.I also like the fact that you can go online and grab a coupon for an oil change to save a bit of money.Ive visited this location several times since moving into the area and feel like Ive found the garage I will continue to use to service my cars for a long time to come.

What I appreciate most about Christian Brothers Automotive is that it is run by highly interpersonal people. Rob, the manager, took a significant amount of time past closing hours to discuss my experience at his shop. From that conversation, I learned why I felt that Christian Brothers was not the best option for my vehicles repairs. The market Christian Brothers is trying to reach is the group of car owners who are looking for premium work and premium parts. As such, it should be expected that the technicians at Christian Brothers will have premium diagnostic fees and price quotes.Christian Brothers was not the right automotive shop for my purposes. The four-star rating is due to the fact that I believe there should be increased communication to customers that the quotes are based off of the highest quality work and parts available. If you are looking for high quality, long-lasting work from highly skilled technicians, go to Christian Brothers Automotive. If you are seeking to get an older vehicle driving for a few more years, the service from Christian Brothers may not be your best option.Again, I would like to thank Rob and the technicians at Christian Brothers for their persistently kind and calm demeanor. It is my hope that the market that Christian Brothers serves will continue to feel satisfied with their service.

I am so impressed with the service and care I receive every time I am in to see the gentlemen at Christian Brothers. They help me keep on top of the maintenance of my vehicle and let me know the most important things to fix and give me a schedule for fixing it. I have needed rides to my office in downtown Grand Rapids as well as to my home in East Grand Rapids and they have been more than accommodating. I would refer them to anyone caring about their cars maintenance both on service and price.

The quote was fast, honest, and reliable. They dont pressure you into things you dont want to do and they have your best interests in mind. They are friendly, the interior is clean, and offer water and soda while you wait. They have a free shuttle service if you dont want to wait around.I will only be taking my car here from today forward!

Very good service - thought I was going to have a big problem with my steering and it turned out to be a minor repair - this is a business you can trust! The people are very professional and courteous - they even served me a cup of coffee. I highly recommend.
