Extremly polite and courteous. Scheduled an estimate in extremely short notice. The estimate itself went just as smoothly. The repairs were scheduled to start in less than a week. Rental car was arranged by them for me. I foresee the repairs will go just as smoothly. Gerber Collision and Glass has never let me down yet. Strongly recommend this shop to anyone looking for major or minor repairs.

If you have ANY sort of collision or glass repair to be done to your vehicle, I DO NOT recommend you take it to Gerber Collision & Glass on Plainfield in Grand Rapids.. After setting an appointment to get an inspection done on an 8-bolt bumper replacement that I had done, the man Frank that was supposedly going to do the inspection was rude, abrupt and basically said that he was not going to sign off on the simple repair before he even looked at it. Dont waste your time with this place and their rude, unprofessional people.

Great people! I had a small bird fly into the front fender of my car and it didnt break anything or cause any actual damage, it just popped the plastic part of the bumper out and the tabs that were supposed to behind the headlight and grill were now in front of them. I was reluctant to do it myself and end up actually breaking it. So I called Gerber to see how much it would cost to have someone who is a little more skilled than I am just pop it back it, they told me to come by so they could look at it and they ended up just fixing it right there in the parking lot, no charge. I think thats a sign of a well-meaning company, I am legit offering money and they could have easily charged me something and I would have paid it, but instead of taking advantage of a situation they did the right thing and for that, I will go to them if I ever need any real body work done.

Dont ever go to gerber collision. I had my envoy repaired by them 6 yrs ago. When i got my vehicle back it wasnt vacuum and left a piece of trim on my seat. 2 months later i saw that the fan blade for cooling the radiator was wobbling and that should been something they should had inspected right before releasing the vehicle. I bought it back and they denie me fixing it. I had to call insurance to fix the problem. And now 6 yrs later the radiator is leaking coolant and they dont want to fix it. They say it has lifetime warranty but its not true. The transmission was flushed about 2 yrs ago and there is some markings on the fitting of the cooling line and now gerber saying that it was tempered with. The manager or the girls on the front desk dont have no knowledge on what parts are called on a vehicle. I had to actually explain to the the part name etc. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all cost. They only friendly when they going get your money. But when its a warranty job they turn their back on you. Its sad that their customer service is horrible. Their manager and office workers really need to be educated into automotive because they sure dont have any knowledge. I know a lot because i have a degree in automotive.

I brought my car in for repair on the rear left quarter panel and bumper. Communication was lacking as I guess there were issues with a previous accident not recorded. They said insurance was giving them problems but didn’t convey this to me for almost a week. That was my biggest issue was communication. They did do a great job on the repair.

Bumper not clipped in appropriately. Had to bring it to their attention after they stated everything was done and looked great . Very poor work, there was a 1/4 inch gap between front grill and bumper. I can’t imagine how they repair cars with extensive damage as my vehicle had little damage and they couldn’t even repair it correctly. Front office staff had poor communication. Car had to go in again for repair. Very delayed repair

This Gerber Collision has an excellent staff. They will walk you through every step of your service with regular updates. They have locked storage for vehicles when they are not open. Work is guaranteed for the life of the vehicle. Paint match is flawless.

Frank and his team on Plainfield did such an amazing job on my vehicle! I have had repair jobs done before but this was the best by far. The staff was so professional and sweet. They remembered me before I even checked in when returning for my vehicle. They also work seamlessly with USAA. It was great feeling taken care of after having the inconvenience of requiring auto-body repairs.

When someone backed into my parked car, I was pretty disappointed in having to get repairs done. I go through USAA and they recommended me to Gerber. Excellent service, excellent technicians. My vehicle was vandalized by a group of local kids and they took out every scratch, dent, and other mark left behind by them out. The turnaround was surprisingly quick. Only 10 days with work on almost every part of the body. I will be returning here for any and all future body work. 10/10

My rusty but trusty 2003 sonata was smashed by a driver with state farm. State Farm suggested Gerber as one of their preferred for auto body repair. Gerber was waiting for my car and had a Hertz rental coordinated to meet me there. My car WAS nothing to look at, HOLY COW not any more! Took eight days but it was well worth it! No complications, always in constant communication, even did a little more and tried to cover rust holes not associated with the collision with paint and clear coat to prevent them from spreading. The car looks brand new! Staff are very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. I will recommend them to anyone needing insurance work, they do not disappoint!!

Ive been to this Gerber location three times for repairs to my fender, mirror, and bumper. This shop is nothing short of excellent. Cenyon, Matt, and the rest of the team have made my Honda look like new. Their customer service is exceptional. I have and will continue to recommend this repair shop to friends and family.

I had a great experience at Gerber for the first time using them. Marcie at the front desk was the sweetest person and more than helpful. She helped with the coordination of the rental and made sure every thing ran smoothly. I was a Quality Manager before I retired and the nature of the job instills attention to detail. During the walk around with Ryan the door and fender gaps were aligned and the body lines were straight. The paint didnt have any orange peel and it matched perfectly. All with a life time warranty . Ryan took care things above his obligation. Right now 5 stars! Lets see how it holds up over time.

I had work done at this locations under the previous business owner and was pleased to know that its really the same group of people under Gerber. A family member backed into my 6 month old CRV, so it needed body work and paint. I went back to Gerber and received great service and a great price from the start, so I didnt even shop around. Im happy with the whole experience. They have a terrific loaner/rental deal for people who dont have coverage or are paying for the repair out of pocket, too! They really go above and beyond. I highly recommend Gerber for an easy, stress-free fix!!!

Its like these people can rewind time and make your accident look like it never happened. Customer service left a little bit to be desired, but over all I was satisfied. They cleaned the vehicle after the work was done, which I wasnt expecting.

Gerber did an awesome job repairing my Mercedes front end! The bumper and headlight had been cracked/smashed from somebody backing into me in a parking lot. Car went in on Wednesday and was out by Friday before I worked at 4. Highly recommend!

Bought this old car on my wifes birthday and it needed a couple of bolts and clips to hold the grill in place. The guys at Gerber did the job with kindness and joy in 10 minutes and sent me on my way with a smile, and no money out of my pocket. I recently had some body work done on my new car, insurance covered it but I was still nervous because the car has pearl paint. Add to that the rental I was given (different company) could barely get through the snow. Gerber saw my frustration and not only did an amazing job (NO sign of damage remains) they had my car done the next day. I cannot recommend this company and this location enough.

I went there with my 2011 F-150 because it got hit in front and the bumper went down about an inch or so. Not only was Ryan very quick and friendly, he charged me nothing to fix it. It took 5 mins for him to fix but I am very happy with the results and no charge was awesome. I had no problem paying 15 mins of labor for it but that was awesome treat!

Worst communication on the planet. Enterprise had to call me in order for me to find out my vehicle was complete and no one walked me through how this process was supposed to work, made it a very messy process.
