I had my 2021 Silverado in about a month ago for a package deal that I purchased when I bought my truck. My floor coverings were a hot mess, not properly put back how they were after the interior was sprayed and I had to take them to the dealership to have put back together. When they sprayed under the truck, they did not put some cover back on correctly and it fell out somewhere while I was driving. The inside of the truck was had some white dust over the door and seat. Wasnt very impressed with how well my new truck was taken care of.

I have never been more disappointed in a business than I have in this one. I purchased a new truck at the dealership and signed up for the rust prevention package among other things. An undercoating was put on my truck by Great Lakes Chemical. When I picked it up at the dealership there was undercoating ALL over my truck. It looks like they drove it before it dried. I have spent hours trying to get it all off, and likely my exhaust tip is a goner as there were areas where it was caked on 3/8 thick. How can you possibly leave a brand new vehicle for a customer like this?

I had them spray a bed liner in my new truck. It looks fantastic and Ill be recommending all of my friends go there for their service.

These guys always help me when I need them! Weekends, weekdays, theyll meet me to get me the products that I need to be able to complete my own jobs! Always have really good advice and help out!

BEWARE! GLC are scammers! I bought a Subaru Crosstrek in January and I purchased a rust proofing and paint protection package from the dealership for $700.00 to be done by Great Lakes Chemical. I brought my car in right away and had the services done...or at least I thought they had been done. Turns out, by coincidence, I brought my car to PERFECT TOUCH DETAIL to get an estimate for detailing. After talking with the owner Doug, he suggested that I get paint protection done since I just bought this car. I told him that I had already had it done by GLC. He said that he could tell that it hadnt been done or if it was done, it wasnt done properly. After a bit of discussion, he was able to show me how he could tell that it wasnt done. He also said that he has had several clients with the same issue from Great Lakes Chemical...claiming they do a $700.00 service but didnt actually do it or its not done properly. After that conversation, I checked the reviews for GLC and apparently this seems to be a regular issue with this company. Theyve been ripping people off for years. I then went into GLC to get to the bottom of this. I ask many questions about their process, products and chemicals they use, etc and they were extremely rude and defensive. They refused to tell me what chemicals they use and their process. I could tell that no one in the building knew what they were doing or talking about. In fact, the store manager Joel admitted that he had never been in the detail business until he joined GLC. After much arguing, I was able to get in touch with the regional manager for GLC. He came out to Perfect Touch Detail look at my car and discuss the issue as well as the chemicals they use, the preparation and process of applying this type of paint protection with Doug (bc I personally know nothing about this stuff) and the regional manager was not happy with the results of my car nor the way his staff treated me. He ended up refunding my money and I took my car to PERFECT TOUCH DETAIL and they did an amazing job!! My car looks better now than when I first bought it! Dont fall for this scam at Great Lakes Chemical...youll end up paying $700.00 for a car wash. Coincidentally, If I hadnt brought my car into Perfect Touch, I would have never known that I got ripped off. If you need detailing, paint protection, etc I highly recommend you go to PERFECT TOUCH DETAIL. You wont be disappointed

What an expensive place to rip the back of my leather seat and then say they didnt do it. They did a lousy job of cleaning it, too - it wasnt detailed - there is still dirt and marks all over it. Bought the package from my dealership - I will be calling the dealership to tell them not to use these guys anymore. Im very disappointed.

I made my appointment two weeks in advance. When I arrived they said I didnt have an appointment, but they would squeeze me in. Then they found my appointment, but it still came down to fitting me in. They gave it a luck and a promise leaving several spots still dirty before they polished it. Well wanted the interior detailed as well which were were told by the dealership would be reduced to $25 as part of the package. They did a nice job dusting the dash, but the floor mats are still dingy and the information screen streaked.GREAT LAKES IS NO GREAT SHAKES

I just had my Mustang 5.0 done at Great Lakes Chemical of Grand Rapids in a triple coat of ceramic sealant, and it came out spectacular thanks to owner Terry. An A1 wet piece of glass is the best way to describe it.Sean Young

Great service. I was in and out quickly, and came back to a detailed car. The appearance helped me sell my car at top value on craigslist! I recommend getting the level 2 buff package on their specials. Inside/outside - especially if your car hasnt been buffed in a few years.

Took my 2009 Malibu in for interior detailing after its 6 month stint with my son who smoked in it probably ever day. The interior was disgusting and filthy. One day later it looked like new and no sign of smoke. I didnt expect to pick up my car sparkling inside and out, as I only ordered and paid for interior, but I did! I am very pleased with Terry, Bryce and the whole group. Thank you so much!

Do not buy a packaged deal of any kind. If you sell your car you will loose any part of that package you purchased and whats left of the packages goes to the owner of your old vehicle. Best bet only purchase what you want done on the day your having your vehicle detailed. I lost $565.00.

If you trust this place, you may come to regret it. Initially, I called to get a price on just an exterior paint treatment and specifically asked for it to include the clay cleaning and buffing out light scratches. I was given a price but could not bring it in for several weeks. Later, when I called to book, I was told a different price, almost 50% higher. I thought maybe I had misunderstood, but I really did not think so. I still wanted to get it done and since they had stressed the process takes awhile and to plan on being there 4 hours, I thought that they must do a good job. The day of the appointment the car was done in less than an hour and it looked it; dirt around the doors, spider webbing from the car washes still all over and one small light scratch on the hoodd looked worse than when it went it. Some other people in the waiting room were talking about what services they liked and did not like and all had one common denominator--we all felt that we were told something different at some point than what we were told later...and it cost more or they performed less service. We all cant have poor memory recall. You decide, but deal with them at your own risk.

I got coupons to use here included in my purchase of a new vehicle last year. .I think they did a great job applying another layer of clearcoat..but, they did not inform me prior to arriving that I needed to pay $15 for their 15 point carwash . .at the location ..I agree it needs to be done so all road dust is off the vehicle. I had just went through the car wash just prior to arriving. .but as they stated even driving a short distance you pick up road dust..I will remember that for my next visit..

STOP!!If you have high expectation that your car or truck will come off better looking after they work on. This is the wrong place.Ive held my opinion for a month now before posting my review in hoping that this company will fixed the damage they cause on my 2017 truck.I took in for the buff and shine with high expectation. After 25 minutes, my truck is done and I went out to inspected. First thing noticed was multiple paints chips off. Show it to them and they refused to achnowledge that they cause it. The guy (Terry) when in to talked with his tech and come out my guys did not cause that and I believe them. Off course you believe them. YOURE A TEAM.I am not trying to dish them but after they said they will touch up on the chipped off paints. I heard nothing from no one.After several call and messages left with A person to have Terry call me but still no response.I am absolutely blown away about this company. They have no courtesy toward their customer at all.

For what its worth. I purchased a new 2010 Silverado and had the protection package added when purchased. This package cost hundreds of dollars. The rust proofing and paint protection were done by Great Lakes Chemical. This spring I noticed rust at the bottom of THREE quarter panels. I contacted the insurance company twice that sold me this protection package and was never contacted back. This past fall I took the vehicle to Great Lakes for a buff and shine and asked them to look into it. I was told I would be contacted in 2-3 days. Three weeks later I got a call and was told to bring the vehicle to a licensed body shop for an estimate. The estimate came in at 1600.00. After sending this to the adjuster I was not called back...again. I finally called them and they told me it wasnt covered. Now, I have a brother-in-law and a good friend who each own a 2010 Silverado. One truck has more miles than mine and one less. We all keep our trucks outside year around (no garage). They did not have this protection package on their trucks and they dont have any rust. I was told by a mechanic that if it isnt done properly, pockets can form and it will actual rust faster. Its too bad Great Lakes wont take any responsibility. It is VERY obvious it wasnt done properly. So...Im just saying, think about this service as it definitely did more damage to my vehicle than I would of ever imagined. And to think I had to pay for them to make it worse! Good luck.

If you buy this companys Products from your friendly dealer. Be advised that when it comes time to file a claim The dealer (Suburban Volvo) or Great Lakes Chemical will give you the run around or just not respond to calls or emails. I highly doubt they actually treated my seats in the first place.

DO NOT buy the interior treatment package from them. Dont waste your money!!! I had a small crack develop on the side of my seat and because the warranty only states it covers, interior fading, discoloring, and cracking of the dash. They wouldnt cover it. Very cleverly worded contract initally gets them out of most claims.

Bought the package from the dealership for my 2017 Ram. Had a real simple request they put their decals and stickers on my new $50k truck. I wanted to bring it in and have them removed. The guy on the phone says No, you can do that at home. I reply that he must have mistook my demand as a request and he says Whatever bring it in then and hangs up. Real classy, right? I dont want that type of person working on my new truck. The dodge dealership reimbursed me for the package.

I could not possibly be more impressed with my rust proofing package from Great Lakes! I looked at the selection of trucks from 2009-2012 at Borgman Ford. They showed me some that had rust proofing and some that didnt. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The trucks with the Great Lakes sticker were still shiny, had no rust underneath and the interior had no stains. I just cant imagine why anyone would not buy this package. I would never own a car without one.

Just so customers are aware you must request underbody coating inspection, or they will not do it, even though customer paid for it and it’s under contract. Also, no one picks up the phone so you have to leave a message and sometimes they call you back and sometimes they don’t. Not sure if they have new management or not but they used to not be like this.

My wife got the top package on her 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour. I thought the car looked nice when we picked it up from Borgman Ford. It was clean and looked well taken care of. When it came back from Great Lakes I seriously thought it was a different car. The paint was shiny, looking brand new. The leather interior was softer, brighter, all around better. Since we took it home it is like there is a force field around the car. My wife parked under one of those trees that drops sap all over everything. I hosed it off with just warm water. I cant say enough how you have to have this package.

Im pretty sure this place scratched my car but its difficult to know for sure... it was brand new and I had never noticed any damage prior to visiting here.

Getting both my CRV and Yaris the Groupon deal on exterior detail with paint protection. Got the CRV done and it looks great, Yaris is next week. Reading the other reviews I see some issues but so far none for me, went in dirty came out clean (and assume protected). Took about an hour, they had a waiting room with tv and wifi.So like I said good experience for me, If I notice anything off in the future I will update this post.

Worthless expensive rust protection I bought the amazing rust protection after the sales person at Grand Olds in Grandville sold me on it. I wish I could post the letter I got telling me that the rust and bubbling paint was not covered under warranty. Save your money cause it is a scam. Your product is worth less than the paper it is printed on.
