This is the best shop I have ever gone to. I’ll break down my recent experience to detail why. My car broke down at 530 on Friday. The tow truck driver said Firestone is open. Get the car towed there and they said to fix the ignition it’ll be 914 bucks. I said no thank you and went to car tech. Mike said he has a locksmith friend that may be able to fix it. They did! And for 250! I call it mikes magic. The whole shop is friendly and basically an extension of family

I would highly recommend this place. Mike squeezed me in even though he was booked because we were traveling in 100 degree heat and our AC was out. He and his lady partner, who works the front end of the business, were both warm and welcoming and had lots of helpful information to share about the area. They were a joy to be around while I waited in their spacious and comfortable living room type waiting area for my car to get finished up. It felt like a visit with friends vrs the normal drab experience of waiting for ones car in an auto shop.Ps-- loved the artful display on your pop machine, the beautiful plants, cool handmade art on the walls and the ample furniture to sit in!I was also very impressed that It appeared that Mike helped others who came in, in varying degrees of distress with their cars even though he was booked and I continued to hear them make appointments over the phone for over a week out.They were an example of exemplary customer service and of just being great human beings! I went to 2 mechanics before these guys. Both had taken over a week to “fix” my truck and neither of them fixed anything. Went to these guys and they had my truck fixed within a few hours. They do good work and are good hearted people.

Finally found the real deal spot! No gimmicks and no BS! Definitely want to bring your vehicles here for professional service. My cars AC compressor blew out and ripped the serpentine belt. CAR TECH had me fixed and on the road in no time at all! And their waiting room has ice cold AC, TV, Internet, and recliners that put you to sleep!

I’m from out of town and passing through with my dog and full car. Honestly everyone who works here are some of the nicest and most genuine people I’ve ever had work on my car.They gave me an oil change and I ended up needing new tires and they recommended me to a place down the road since they don’t do tires. I would never have checked my tires otherwise so I am super grateful they went above and beyond to check my car. It saved me a lot of chaos if my tires had blown out on try road trip.

We needed a new battery for our car. I called ahead and their pricing has was in line to what I expected. It was a special order battery. So we brought it in and left the car there and they finish re d the day they promised.

This place is fantastic. We were traveling on a road trip when our car developed a concerning noise near Grand Junction. We called Car Tech and they were able to diagnose the problem over the phone, then made time from their schedule to check out our car the moment we got to their shop. They helped secure us a rental car while they fixed the problem, and since we were planning to return on a Saturday to pick up the vehicle, Mike (the owner) left us his personal cell phone # and came to the shop on his day off so that we could get our car and continue on our road trip as scheduled. Now three states across the country our car is still driving smoothly and we are so grateful for the excellent service we received at Car Tech!

When my truck was having problems, I was quoted $2,000-4,000 from the dealership to repair the oil pump. I was referred to Car Tech by a friend. Car Tech diagnosed the problem as an oil sensor and told me my oil pump was good. Car Tech was very professional and honest. Car Tech saved me over $3,000 compared to the dealership. We had the motor on a radiator cooling fan stall out in our Chevy Tracker while on top of an 11,400-ft mountain behind Pitkin for our summer alpine treat. In searching for repair in Grand Junction before heading west to home in California, we discovered Car Tech with Mike and whole wonderful crew. In less than an hour of work, Cory had a new version of the unit installed and we were on our way. The price was very reasonable, the service was unbeatable, and the overall experience was like running into favorite family and neighbors who were more than happy to help us on our way. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Ford and 2 other Diesel Service dealers were too busy to do an oil change for me. These guys checked their schedule, got me in by 0745 and out by 0915. I drive a Ford F350 Super Duty cross country and depend on quick reliable service. These guys were top notch.

So long story short my car was smelling like gas (everywhere inside and outside) i called these guys up and Mike (i think that was his name) told us to take the car in. We explained that we were from out of town and he said he would fix it as fast as he could (which he did). When we got there he was really nice and explained everything and made things clear. He even gave us the line that he took out as a souvenir. These guys were quick and nice. Thanks to them my car did not catch fire.

These guys are great! I am impressed with the way I am treated every time I enter the shop. The entire staff is friendly and courteous and I am always treated with respect. Being a woman and a single mom this has not always been my experience with other shops. They do a thorough job and always go above and beyond. After reading the positive reviews about Car Tech on Google, I decided to go there and had the best experience! I was treated very, VERY well, everyone was incredibly kind. It turned out my fuel pump failed, and Mike took it upon him to find the best option for me. Not only were they incredibly helpful in office, but I was also given a ride to and from my apartment when my car was ready-- not expecting that! Before leaving, they also made sure everything in my car was good to go. I was also given an estimate for another part of my car that needed work, but they were not pushy or intimidating about getting it fixed, which was much appreciated. Will definitely be back!!

Worst price of anywhere in town

This shop has a really great bunch of people working there. They are all very friendly, willing to discuss issues and solutions for your vehicle problems. They make sure to properly diagnose the issues your having. They do their best to get the problem fixed the first time. I cant say enough good stuff about this shop. My experiences here have been above expectations. I can not understand where any of the negative google reviews came from. I completely recommend this place to anyone.

I took a list of repairs the dealer told me was needed. They quoted me a quarter of that price! Then when I had already authorized the work, they called in the middle saying the brakes werent that bad at all and didnt need changing yet. They couldve made $400 but instead were honest with me. Everyone there is extremely friendly and didnt automatically assume that im a woman and can take advantage. They have a customer for life out of me!

My car broke down on the way to work. They got it in and had it fixed before I got off of work! Replaced an ignition coil and spark plugs! Im so glad my daughter recommended these guys! Great customer service!!!!

Do NOT recommend! After having my vehicle worked on by them for 2 weeks, they could not fix my issue and the owner (mike) said that he and the mechanic (mark) do not want to work on my vehicle anymore. After 2 weeks and hundreds of dollars they charged to not fix my issue, I fixed my vehicle in about 3 hours. They lied about what they said they did; flushing trans fluid, checking specific components and doing the opposite of what they promised because they “didn’t want to”. They also did something I did not authorize and tried to charge me for it. The owner has not been professional at all in our conversations. He is very arrogant. I would not recommend this shop to anyone.

Passing through town and needed an oil change. Called Mike and was told that I could just swing in and he would make sure all was ready so that I could be in and out quickly. They did an inspection of the brakes and found the rears needed replaced. I knew that they were close and had them do the work. Since it was going to take a couple hours, he dropped my wife and I off on Main Street downtown to do some shopping and get some lunch. You just dont see people going above and beyond like this anymore. Very pleased with the price and more importantly friendly customer service. Would definitely come back if needed in the future.

Amazing service. We broke down about 15 miles away and the tow truck driver recommended this Car Tech in grand junction. They went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. They even gave us a ride down town to take a walk and have lunch. Had the alternator replaced in no time, picked us up, and we were on the road in no time. A breath of fresh air in todays society. My car has been making a noise since I got it, took it to this place and instantly felt like I went to someone I could trust. They were very professional, they also gave my boyfriend and I a ride home and picked us up to get my vehicle.

Went In for a quick oil change. Was thrilled to know they checked my lights and topped off any fluids. They also let me know my car had a belt that was showing some wear. Great guys!

I dont often leave reviews unless I am really impressed with a business. Mike and his crew at Car Tech are not just excellent mechanics -- they are also caring, human beings. When my car died today (Friday), I was panicked. I have six appointments, including doctors appts. for my disabled spouse on Monday. And, I was worried about making it to church on Sunday. Car Tech stayed extra long, did excellent work, and even had a family member pick me up from home, since I had no way to make it out to the shop over and above Uber or a cab. All the work has a fantastic warranty; it is so nice to know there is a mechanic that really strives to take care of you. Was helped out by the own, great service...

I took an old, just purchased Motorhome for a full service. They called me an hour later and let me know they were just doing an oil change. The transmission and radiator had clearly (to them) been serviced and did not need to be done again. They literally said no to hundreds of dollars in work and I would have never known

We were on the road from Orange County, Ca. heading towards Fort Collins, Co. The car had over heated a number of times between Orange County and Grand Junction. We had worked with a Mechanic in Cedar City and Green River, that after spending quite a bit, the problem persisted. We found Car Tech through a referral from another mechanic. When we pulled in they were very friendly and ran a full diagnostic, unable to find the problem. They took it out a tough road test and finally found the problem, a blown head gasket. Now we were stuck and my Daughter and I needed to get to Fort Collins. I called some friends to come get us and they stayed open until out friends arrived, well after closing. They promised the car in a week. My daughter has school Monday through Friday, so she had to pick it on a Saturday. Mike agreed to come in himself and meet her. They kept us informed on what was happening with the vehicle. After a road test on Friday before the pick up, they found an oil leak due to the repair and stayed until 8:30pm to fix it. This group goes to the extreme to make things right and I recommend them to anyone.

Ive been taking my diesel truck to car Tech for the last 4 years. I used to do all the work myself just out in my backyard. It was always a struggle. One cold winter day, i didnt have the time or place to do the fxing so i decided to tow my truck to the nearest shop.. and closest place was car Tech. From that day forward I couldnt be more thankful for Mike, Brian, and Steve helping me all these years. They are quick at finding the problems and solutions without breaking the bank. June 2019: This place seems special. Recently moved to GJ and have been to several mechs, but Car Tech seems like my new go-to. From Brian at the front desk to Mike (owner) in the back with the rest of his help (including his dog), this place is what a mech shop should be. Can tell they bend over backwards for the customer and the employees seem like that want to be there. Will edit this review as time goes by, but like I said, this place seems special.June 2020: have been doing regular and emergency maintenance with these guys and they are AWESOME. My jeep makes a weird noise, so they bring me back to look at whats causing it. Tell me exactly what need to be fixed and will actually let me watch the repairs! Dont look anywhere else; hands down the best shop in town.

I was leaving on a trip and didnt have time to diagnose an electrical problem. I called Mike and they said theyd look it over when I got to Junction. Got there, they were friendly and helpful. They drove us to our hotel while the car was being worked on--a good distance away. They came back to get me when I realized Id left medications in my car. At that point, Mike had gone through the whole system and removed the bluetooth module, which was causing a drain on the battery. The cost was reasonable, and I havent had a problem starting the car since--a miracle, since Id had issues with the battery drain since last fall. If you EVER need help in Junction these are the guys to go to!

Over the top incredible. We broke down on holidays and these guys bent over backwards to get us back on the road. Extremely fair and honest. Very knowledgable and good at what they do. Because it was an older VW Vanagon with some conversion parts and the only transmission that could be located was a different model they were able to fabricate some parts to get us back on the road. My wife was impressed with the waiting room. Comfortable and even had a childrens corner. I wish I had more stars to give than 5.

My truck had a small dent on the back right rear panel. My CB antenna was bent over on both visits even after reminding them. They did not top off my motor oil after doing a rear main seal. I had to go in my tool box and he used my oil then over filled it and said it was fine. Owner was very arrogant and was not personable. As a professional driver I would never patronize this car establishment.
