I was shopping around for Tundras and saw they had a few here. I was visiting multiple dealerships to see what they had to offer in terms of customer service, warranties, quality, etc.I had narrowed down my search to two different vehicles located at 2 different dealerships and one of them was here. After thorough consideration I decided to buy a truck from this dealership and here are m reasons why. The sales person that we saw (Ryan Loups) was genuinely a great guy, extremely understanding, easy going, great with communications skills, and made us feel like we were cared for. The entire process from showing up took a couple days since I was being indecisive but once I made up my mind the process was complete in about 3 hours.Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and selection and I recommend anyone and everyone who is looking for a new vehicle to go visit Ryan aka Loups at Rudy Luther!

So I’ve been coming to this location for almost 5 years. I’m not a big car person, so I expect a dealership like this to be transparent and helpful since they’re supposedly experts.Recently a light went on in my car, and I had to take it in to get diagnosed. It’s unreasonable enough to charge $175 just to get an electrical reading from the system, but then they tried to convince me that the entire fix would cost over $650… when the parts are retailing for $40 online and it’s a really basic fix for the ignition coil.I don’t really like writing negative reviews, but I feel responsible to warn whoever else might be considering this dealership. 🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️I feel taken advantage of, and when I said I’d rather buy the parts myself and consult a different mechanic, the folks at the store hung up on me and were pretty rude in person when I came to get my car.I’ve always thought the car checkups and repairs were surprisingly expensive for a pretty standard older car. Now I’m confident it’s because they’ve been abusing my trust, and profiting nicely from it. Avoid Rudy Luther at all costs. 🚩🚩🚩

Best Toyota dealer in twin cities area. Had a maintenance on my Camry. Took about 3 hours to complete, which was faster than other Toyota stores in Twin cities I had been to. Ryan was very friendly and helpful. The only thing was the service was a little pricey.

Went in to look at a few cars and a 2009 Hyundai Sonata caught my eye. I went into the office and was immediately greeted by Dan Wolff. He made the atmosphere feel very inviting and there was no pressure from him at all to make a purchase. He even helped me trade in my old car for the amount I still owed on it from my previous lease. He went above and beyond for my partner and I for literally like 2 days of trying to get all the stuff together. So Dan if youre reading this then thank you so much and to everyone else, I 100% recommend this dealership and Dan Wolff specifically for any of your buying, trading or selling needs. Ron is such a kind soul and made us feel very comfortable buying our first vehicle. He explained the process and the condition of our used Subaru. Due to our busy schedules we had to return over multiple days to test drive, go for inspection, and finally fill out the paperwork to take it home and the staff made it happen for us.

First time visiting this location for a battery issue on my Rav4. I made an appointment a week prior and showed up promptly. Once pulled in I noticed no one greeted or approached me. I had to walk over to a desk and ask if someone could help me after waiting 10 minutes. I was told it would be $175 just for them to look at the car and it would be 3 hours for them to get to it. Whats the point of an appointment then?On the plus side the business center was nice and staff was friendly but logistically Its rather frustrating to have such a long wait when you make an appointment.

I was very pleased with my experience here! No BS—I didn’t feel like I was being forced to buy a car right away which is great, because buying a car shouldn’t be an impulsive thing. Got to test drive cars until I found the right one. I didn’t have to wait long for anything. Staff was friendly and helpful! I can’t remember the finance guy’s name...Pete? ..was sensible and helpful. And Andrea was very helpful and I will be coming back to buy my new car from her, if she’s available, by the end of the year! :)

Billy held a vehicle for a couple hours for us to come and test drive it after my husband got off work. (We were the first to contact them.) We did end up buying the car and the paperwork and details for the purchase went quickly and smoothly. Im in my 50s and have never owned a car this nice. I love it!! I brought my Tacoma in for routine maintenance and it was returned with a 7 inch crack in the windshield. They have video of it not being cracked when I brought it in. I live 2 hours from the dealership and they want me to bring it back because a manager wants to see it for himself. As if the guy working that day couldnt see it. The right thing to do would be to pay for the repair where the vehicle is. If I could give them zero stars I would.I have since been contacted by the dealership. They found video of an employee dropping something on the windshield. They are paying for the repair in my hometown.

The service rep. was extremely kind and professional, didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need, asked if I would like a car wash and I was in and out in just over an hour. Also, the waiting area for customers is always so clean and comfortable and the coffee is very good.

I interacted with 6 or 7 different individuals during my last appointment for brakes, tire rotation and an oil change. Just top notch service at every step of the process! Special shout out to the woman at the service desk that helped with my rental car, then later with payment. I think her name is Jess? She is on top of her game! Helping other staff (newer hires, maybe?), answering phones, and just getting sh*t done! Fast! From the service tech who helped me transfer my kids booster seats to the rental car, to the random guy who noticed me looking for my car in the lot - hands down stellar, friendly service. Give the whole team a raise!

Service invoice shows the following services were performed: ‘Check and fill fluids’ and reset Maintenance Required light, but I Checked the fluid level, it was half empty, specifically washer fluid. Also didnt reset Maintenance Required light, but it says on the invoice it was performed. Those are the two things I can certainly identify, but I doubt that any of those services they listed and charged me for were performed properly other than just changing oil and oil filter.Edit- My response to owners reply: They did indeed send me a video clip, and that doesnt provide enough evidence of the listed task completed. Its ridiculous how they claim here again work was completed. I also provided them images of half empty washer fluid tank and Multi point inspection report from another service center (performed two days later) that clearly shows my right tail light and marker bulb was bad which wasnt reported on Rudy Luthers service inspection report. Very disappointed by their service and how they deal with customer complaints.

First of all, I am completely aware that there is a new car shortage right now. So I looked on every Toyota dealership site in the Twin Cities until I found the car I wanted at Rudy Luther. It was after hours so I took advantage of the shop online option. I was able to pick out the car, get a quote on my trade, get approved for and choose which financing option I wanted, and even schedule a time for pick-up. Imagine my frustration when I arrived at that time with all the requested paperwork, my trade all ready to go and no one had a clue what I was talking about. They were very sorry, but that car was sold yesterday.This isnt necessarily a gripe against Rudy Luther per se, but TOYOTA needs to get their websites fixed to update their in-stock inventory! I certainly wouldnt have applied for the loan (that now shows on my credit report) and driven 40 miles this morning to not drive my new car away. I guess Ill keep my Subaru.

We looked for a specific vehicle at 3 or 4 places before we chose Rudy Luther . Our first contact was with Dan T. He was very helpful showed us what he had and the prices etc.. We drove a van and really liked it except for the smoke smell. He immediately said they would take care of that. There was no hard sell, no pressure to buy today or price goes up tomorrow We took until the next morning to make our decision. Dan T was not working the next day but we called him and he had us work with Scott. Scott was very helpful and worked real hard to get everything done so we could leave with vehicle that day and go home. We were from out of town. They were not able to get the smoke smell out but discounted the price to pay for smell removal in our home town. He was even able to get us set up with license plates.It was a great experience. I would do business there again

Unfortunately 5 stars is the highest rating I am allowed. Approximately 2-3 weeks ago started my search for a new Tundra. Didn’t take long to learn - Toyota can’t keep them on the lot - Stopped by Rudy Luther Toyota and met Heidi C.(sales manager) who stated that she could in fact get me into a Tundra (through a deposit on one of the upcoming expected truck deliveries). She had me work with salesman Jesse G. He went way out of his way to assist me find the vehicle I wanted and securing my choice. Over the next week or two I stayed in contact, with Jesse ensuring I had the options I wanted (helping me to locate different rims- not a fan of black rims which came with the truck ). While waiting for the truck arrival I located one already on the lot with everything I wanted - in Mason City Iowa for a few dollars less. I ended up purchasing that vehicle When I spoke with Jesse his reply was - I’m glad you found what you were looking for, I hope that you consider using Luther for your service needs. Unbelievable- this man who worked so hard to ensure I got exactly what I was looking for was glad I found it - even though it wasn’t with Luther. I will definitely use this location for all my Toyota needs.

Josh Hartigan had absolutely terrible customer service. You should absolutely try to avoid him. He was incredibly rude during the entire financial process. It seemed like he was upset I didnt take his loan insurance offer that would give him commission. I expected Luther Toyota to hire better employees for a more friendly experience. Cheer up Josh, come on.Dave Thomas was a great guy! I loved my experience with him, and he made the process very smooth. I got the car that I liked and he didnt try to sell me anything extra on top. Class act. Superb service. Friendly guy.Bottom line: ask for Dave, avoid Josh.

So happy with my experience at here. I had been to two other Toyota dealerships before and had bad experiences there, and was dreading heading to another one. But right away I felt a more relaxed and welcoming atmosphere here. I found a car within my price range that was in great condition. I was offered extra warranties or options, but I didnt feel pressured to take them. I declined the options and they respected that and didnt push me. They were quick to purchase and I drove home in my new car. Very happy, thank you!

I’m notorious for just not getting my oil changed when I need to. It’s so bad that even my poor dad still checks in with me monthly about checking my oil.BUT NOWRudy Luther Toyota basically took over the task of reminding me to keep up with my RAV4’s oil change. They emailed me, called me, and finally they were able to get me to schedule a service.And it was the easiest thing on the planet. Took about 5 minutes AND they just handled it from there. They came and picked up my car for me and had it returned within a few hours.I’m hooked on this level of service, seriously. Constant communication, courtesy call, text updates. They just have this whole thing nailed down. They treated me like I was VIP or something.For reference, my boyfriend has a massive Ford truck that cost well over $100k. He didn’t get an ounce of the level of customer service I received, LOL. Three weeks for an oil change, horrible communication, and he had to drop off and pickup.Rudy Luther is super solid and makes the smallest tasks the most painless thing. Love it!

We were in and out for our initial 5k maintenance incredibly quickly, and everyone was super friendly. The waiting area is very well appointed, with coffee and water bottles available, and all customers very well spaced. The wifi is fast and allowed me to get some work done during our (surprisingly short) stay. I received text messages at the start and completion of our service, though the service attendant also came in and found us when everything was done and helped send us on our way. I knew this place was fantastic when we made our original car purchase, and this first service experience just emphasized the great pride they have in the end-to-end quality they exemplify.

My most recent visit was quite disappointing if I’m honest especially when I was giving them a lot of business. Honestly, my rating would be 1 star if not for the good customer service I got from the initial appointment setup.I came in for a glass replacement, oil change, cabin air filter and fob battery change for both my keys. I later also agreed to get my back rotors and brakes changed spending a total of about $620.I went to pick up my car and no one was there to welcome or direct me to the counter. I reach my car and it is so dirty with adhesive/glue drippings on my car hood - it was so obvious it’s impossible the workers did not see it.I was told by my roommate who frequents here that she has always been asked if she wanted a car wash but I never was and I spent more than 10x her bill. I got 3-4 calls asking me if I wanted multiple parts changed but not a single time asked if I wanted a car wash? The car report I got back wasn’t even printed in color when it usually is.Edit: changing it to 1-star because though they said they’ll look into it, i haven’t been contacted. I’ve filled out SO many reviews they sent after your appointment and even opted to be called back, sent the manager a voicemail etc, NOTHING. If you won’t reach out to customers then don’t even bother asking for so much feedback.Also, I had to really scrub/soak those glue stains with Goo Gone to get them off. I can’t believe I paid SO much money for them to give me more work. You best bet I’m never coming back.

Service dept. fixed a problem two other Toyota dealerships couldnt. They communicate well. Easy to schedule service and will make time for you in a pinch. Responsive management and they work as a team. We recently had mechanical issues out of state and when other dealerships couldnt figure it out, our sales rep called me from the service dept. and they had a phone consult with me. They actually care about their customers and their product.Ive only worked with one salesperson at Rudy Luther Toyota and we have purchased at least 7 vehicles with him.

When it comes to buying a used vehicle, I would avoid this dealer. Not only did they sell me a car which had underlying safety issues with it, they oversold it by $1300 and refused to even reimburse me half for the vehicle. When sold, I asked for the inspection results and for all rust issues- they stated the vehicle was in excellent condition for its age. Later, I had three independent mechanics evaluate undercarriage rust that was discovered upon an oil change. All three said it was a safety issue, and advised not driving the vehicle. I owned this vehicle for 3 months during the summer- this was years of salt damage. All mechanics stated the dealer had to have turned a blind eye to the issue and lied in order to state that the car was in safe condition. When this was brought to the dealers attention, they refused to acknowledge the independent assessments and stated their assessment didnt conclude that. The issue that couldve happened: the vehicles engine would have eventually dropped out of the bottom near the weak side of the undercarriage, likely leading to an accident. Highly question the moral integrity of the used vehicles sales team, and will be reporting the dealer to the states consumer protection agency.To update this post: the dealership did try to better the outcome I first experienced, calling me the morning after the original posting. The car ended up getting serviced for its issue, and they offered me more money for the vehicle (still not the original value I paid, but better than their original offer). I want to give them the credit of that and appreciate the follow-up, but also want to acknowledge that it shouldnt have taken a review like this to drive the action of doing it.

When they delivered my card to my home on Friday, they said they found the driver side mirror was damaged, and showed me an part order. When I called on them on Wednesday, they said they order wrong part. Then do it again and update me on Friday. Friday I did not get update. When showed up on Saturday, their manager said he will order the part today. Asking to come back next week. I paid the full price to my car. Why they lied to me? The market is hot, but they are cold.

A huge thank you from a grateful Dad. We had our daughters RAV4 serviced by a dealership in Denver before our drive back to Minneapolis. The service included significant brake work to fix a serious issue. We noticed there was still a noise issue with one of the brakes on the trip back. Called Rudy Luther Toyota Service in Golden Valley the very busy Friday before the 4th of July weekend and Kevin said bring it by and we will work it in. They test drove it, took it apart, worked on it and confirmed with multiple test drives including a spin by the Service Manager that they had resolved the issue. Bill $0. We drove 8 hours to buy a car from them, we been going back in forth about this car for a week before making the trip. We fell in love with the car. Went through with the process, for them to tell us my significant others name was not on his own title. Called the bank and confirmed it was on the title but they then Insisted the other co signer has to be present to sign the title. He is active military and unable to have the co-signer present due to being 2,000 miles away from them. Yet they would not work with us to figure out a way to make it work so we can purchase this vehicle. Instead only gave us 4 days to have the title sent and signed and sent back to us and some how drive 8 hours back here to then purchase the car with the locked in price. They refused to hold it for us also even when we offered to put a down payment. They haves us the only option to buy the car ;more money this way; without the trade in and then later on drive back to trade in the car. That is very difficult to do the fact we live so far away. Not easy to always take off work to come back to hope they will trade in the car at the price they offered in the start though it now has a lot more miles on it.

The staff examined my car to find out why I was losing oil, and determined that it was not a leak, but internal burning. They advised me on how to keep an eye on the oil level and replace oil as necessary. They did not charge me for a diagnostic or encourage an expensive repair, which I appreciated.

We have never bought a car before and we bought a used car from here. We live in Wisconsin, and they took care of almost everything the title and plates. Our salesperson, Humberto, knew what he was talking about and knew when to back off and let us look (not a fan of helicopter salespeople). Every staff member was genuine and genial. We put a deposit down and they held the vehicle for us for a few days until we could come sign the papers in person.They were upfront about the details of the finances and the vehicle itself. They also showed us the work that they had done on the vehicle.They offer a five-day-return period and offer impressive warranties on used vehicles. If we ever buy another Toyota, we will check this place out first.
