Idk why people saying it’s the worst place to get contact and glasses… I get my contacts here and I always get the best service and my contacts are always good quality

I asked both ladies to help fix my lenses. Both refused. I was informed that only if the lenses were purchased at Walmart, then they would fix them. Both ladies were not busy. After the lady who first refused me service left, I asked the other for a lense strap. She helped me find one.I believe good Walmart customer service would have been to fix the lenses.

Im surprised there are such low ratings for this place. I think the Walmart Vision Center at Glen Allen is a great place to get your eyes checked and buy glasses. Dr. Taylor is fun and knowledgeable. He gave me the much needed consultation and advice. The vision center has a good collection of eye glasses available in all sorts of prices, ranging from $9 to a few hundreds. Lenses cost $60 all inclusive. Doctors fee is $99, and an additional $60 if you want prescription for contacts. Your glasses will be available for pick up in 4 business days. The staff is friendly and helpful. I see in the reviews that people are commenting on the English speaking skills of the staff. Most of them are non native speakers of the language and yet their speech is fairly comprehensible. The worlds a global village and everyone speaks different languages. To be able to speak a second language with proficiency is not easy, yet the staff is doing a good job!Id highly recommend Walmart Vision Center and Dr. Taylor.

Worst place to buy glasses or contacts. The 2 ladies working here find ways to escape from work. I just feel theyre getting paid for sitting there and doing nothing. They have problem with pulling up the insurance and even to answer the questions asked.

Please hire staff that can speak proper English. Horrible service. There were two women working at the counter that avoided assisting me and the employee that finally got around to me was lazy, incompetent and kept making excuses as to why she couldnt look up my insurance. She never tried looking me up, she just did not want to help. As I get up to leave, theres no apology, no sympathy. She just simply said take your prescription.

I placed my prescription with them and ordered a box of daily disposable Acuvue contacts. The woman who conducted the transaction struggled in English, however, she told me that the contacts would be available in 5-7 days as they did not have them in stock. This was on a Saturday. The following Friday, I called into the store as I had not heard anything yet. David answered the phone and put me on hold for a long time, he came back and said that the contacts werent in yet. He claimed that there must have been a shortage at their main warehouse. This seems unlikely and I suspected that they had forgotten to order them. So I asked him what happened to the reassurance of 5-7 business days and I also asked him was there a criteria that thy followed when there was a shortage at their warehouse so that their customers were at least aware of this setback. He replied that it had not been 7 business days yet. Since they are open on Saturdays, I replied Well in that case, I should expect to have the box of contacts no later than Monday then, correct? David responded Well there is no telling when they will be in. So within one question, he contradicted his last statement of saying that it was 7 business days to saying that there is no telling when thy will be in; which further confirmed my suspicion that they had never even ordered the contacts in the first place. I went into the store in person that afternoon to speak with them in person. David was in the store with a personal friend of his and his friend was showing him pics on his phone. I thought that this was very unpfrofessional seeing to the fact that there were customers in the store: there was a family looking at glasses and also I had walked in. He continued looking at the pics and never once greeted me. After he finished looking at the pics on his friends phone, I saw him out of the mirror as he glanced at me, looked me up and down, and then turned to the family and spoke with them. He had sized me up and apparently felt that I wasnt worth greeting. He then turned and helped the family. I guess he was unaware that I could see his actions in the mirror that faced me. Not long after this, the woman hat had helped me originally came into the store and I got a refund from her. Admittedly, she did offer to have the doctor next door give me sample packs until the contacts came in. But I refused and continued forward with the refund; mainly because of the incompetence and the lack of communication and also because of the antics of David. I got a refund and went to LensCrafters down the road who actually carried my brand and strength in stock and held them for me until I got there. Problem solved..

While the staff is pleasant enough when I deal with them, several times I have gone during the hours posted on the website and they either had closed early or had yet to open during those posted hours.

One star for the vision center, the optometry doctor is awesome and fast.

THAT VISION CENTER IS SUCK, I WENT THERE TO FILL A PRESCRIPTION, THEY MESSED IT UP. THERE IS A OLD LADY WHO PROBABLY FROM INDIA, SHE DOESNT KNOW ANYTHING, SHE COULDNT EVEN GIVE OUT MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER PROPERLY TO MY INSURANCE..... ITS JUST A MEST IN THERE. I WOULD ADVISE PEOPLE NOT TO TAKE THE CHANCE FILLING THEIR PRESCRIPTION IN THERE CUZ YOU WOULD NOT BE SATISFY. ALSO THEY RUDE, THEY CANT SPEAK ENGLISH
