Had to get a state inspection after moving from DC. Very easy to schedule an appointment, drop off my car, and return the rental car I used in the interim. G and the crew were very helpful, their report was thorough and informative, and Andy was kind enough to help me return my rental even though I showed up just as he was locking up. Id been quoted lower rates to get an inspection done, but given they went above and beyond with customer service, it was worth an extra few bucks to work with competent people who go out of their way to explain both the process and the result.

Precision Auto is the best auto shop I have ever had the experience of using.The staff is very professional and highly skilled. I was kept informed via text with photos through every step of the work and inspection on my car. The reception area, shop area and exterior of the building are pristine. They even have flowers planted in pots to welcome customers! I was treated politely and respectfully by every member of the staff. The shuttle ride that they provide is another reason I get all my auto work done there. Most of all, I trust Precision Auto. They treat you like family!

I had a car recently inspected and have truly never experienced such an enjoyable time at a garage. The staff members were polite and friendly but not in an overly-business / salesmen sort of way, it felt genuine. The shop was incredibly clean, something I have only seen at private shops. I like to do car work on my own as I enjoy working on cars, but without a doubt if I need a garage to do work for me, then I WILL drive the extra distance and pay more money to have this service again in the future. I have interacted with this shop once and they have my complete trust.

I brought my potential new used car in for a pre-sale inspection. They found a rather significant problem that the dealer did not disclose. They saved me a lot of heartache and when i found another car I felt comfortable know that they had give it a thumbs up. Toward the end of September my husband and I were traveling 700+ miles to Maryland for stressful/sad reasons. At a point far into the trip our vehicle started overheating and we could hear water sloshing in the dash. Our first thought was to contact Precision Auto as they were our go to shop for years when we lived there. Andy, Bud and their team were busy but were kind enough to take time out to help. We could not have made it back the 700+ miles without them and a ton of stress. They remember loyal customers! First of all, everyone is friendly all around but every review mentions that! I got a vibration diagnostic done and couldnt be happier (unless they want to charge less but Im just dreaming).After dropping the car off, they gave me a lift to work in Rio (though this was too far to be picked up from at the end of the day).Around noon, I got a text with a link which showed me a pretty detailed report of 18 different parts of the car with pictures and brief analysis. The text included a phone number so I could call a mechanic, discuss the report, ask questions and decide what I wanted to do. The mechanic was friendly (we all knew this would be true), helpful, and up front about pricing different potential fixes.After the work was completed, I got a text with a link to an invoice so I could pay at my convenience.The person I got my key from at the end of the day was very friendly as well (who knew?).

As always, accommodating in an unexpected car repair (flat tire). Great having the rental car! Always pleasant and professional.

The customer service at the Germantown Precision Auto is unmatchable. In this day and age, good customer service is difficult to come by. They were kind, thorough, and respectful to me. I had a Maryland inspection performed here. Inspection was thorough and detailed photos were provided. I decided to perform some necessary repairs myself and had the shop replace a power steering hose. Prices were fair for a high quality shop and I will recommend them to anyone needing an inspection or repairs.

Really like how professional they were and very informative. The really cute girl in front explained everything in detail and the advisor kept me informed throughout the process. Even sent me pics of what they tested vs what good and bad looks like . Again I am very pleased and definitely will be using again .

I had my daughters’ car towed here by AAA after they had another flat & the tire’s lug nuts were stripped. What tremendous service! These folks took the time to thoroughly examine the car & noted damage that had been incurred by the accident that I wouldn’t have thought of. Bobby called with updates & even put a 2nd technician on the job so we could have the car back as quickly as possible. This place is great & they make having your car in the shop as painless as possible. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Ive recently discovered Precision Auto and after taking my Infiniti sedan there about a month ago, I decided to use them again for my Ford SUV. I had a coolant leak which required a new water pump, a very expensive, labor intensive service. A a new customer, they do an extremely detailed inspection and initial full vehicle profile that really impressed me. I do some (light maintenance items) myself, so there were components of the initial inspection that they found which I knew were just recently performed. Their assessment was spot on, (for both my vehicles) as there was nothing recommended that was not unfairly justified in the report(s). At 160K on my SUV, I had a few things in addition to the water pump that I thought needed repair/replace. It was a several day job and I was happy that as they uncovered any other potential repairs, they called me first to discuss and get approval. Most notably, I had one concern that I never mentioned, a noisy wheel hub/bearing that I thought needed replacement. They discovered this on their own and I was secretly happy to have it found and repaired. It may not be the greatest way to test their knowledge, but in this case, it was what I consider to be excellent mechanic diagnosis and work. Mario, Brenda, and the team are extremely polite and professional. Besides fair pricing and great work, I think their ability to communicate and take time to talk to customers (especially in the auto repair business) sets them apart, and above a lot of auto repair businesses. Highly recommend!

The owner is very rude. It was my experience, $90 for an oil change, can get an oil change for $30 @ Walmart. I personally wouldnt go there again. Why would some pay a business over $400 and the owner be mean? I dont get it. Oh btw I always try to say positive things about a business. I kinda feel bad for the staff there.

I live in nyc and my parents live in Maryland. While my parents arent very familiar with these things Bud from precision auto went above and beyond to make this transition as easy as possible for both me and my parents. I was able to purchase the vehicle for my parents and handle any other processes over the phone. Overall the staff was very professional and kind. I highly recommend their business.

My second visit to Precision (May 13, 2021), they replaced my front brake pads and rotors, cleaned the battery terminal, and performed an oil change. I took my car to another shop and they tried to tell me that I needed both my front and rear brakes replaced. Mario explained that it was the front brakes that needed work and the rear brakes were fine. Can it get much better than this? Precision Auto believes in quality service AND the value of honesty. Once again the customer service was top notch. This time I took advantage of the pickup and delivery service that was so convenient. The driver, I think his name was Gee, was punctual and upon returning my car, parked it the exact same way he found it initially. Wow! Mario and Brinda were SUPERB, as usual. Again, Im so grateful to have been referred to this place knowing that my old lady (Honda 2009 Accord) will be well taken care of. Maximum recommendation.

It was a 2018 Mazda CX-9 Touring Edition with the Premium package. We called to schedule a test drive, and right away Bud helped us to understand precisely what would be needed for a successful sales transaction to occur. His car buying checklist helped us to understand what he needed paperwork wise before we test drove, so that when we arrived for the test drive we could truly focus on the car.During the test drive Bud took the time to allow us to explore the features of the car and helped even to get the Bluetooth setup for the radio to test out the 12 Bose speakers. We had to ensure our car seat would fit behind the drivers seat, and Bud gave us the time and space to adjust the car seat and drivers seat.He gave us the initial run down of the car, asked if we had any questions, and then said hed let us have some alone time with the car to look it over. See a car at another used car dealership, but notice no service records for the first 40,000 miles of its life? Not very comforting! On signing day, we arrived and immediately Bud said he had replaced the battery and gave us the receipt when he said the battery didnt register full voltage on his final inspection of the car . I called and scheduled an appointment for a new state inspection on a referral from a friend. The appointment making was smooth and easy. I dropped off the car and the process was simple, and the technician friendly greeted me. I was informed of the process and what they would do to inform me of the inspection results. The results came in early and as promised. I reviewed the results online and called to have some minor work done unrelated to the state inspection. The pricing was reasonable and work was convenient. I paid for the work and inspection online. Picking up the car was a breeze. They did a great job.

This place is fantastic! Very quick, professional, and friendly service. I was able to drop off my car the night before, and they delivered it the next day within 15 minutes of paying, which I was able to do very easily via text link (no login issues or anything). Mario, Maria, and I forget the beautiful girls name who works on the computer at the front desk have excellent customer service. I am highly pleased with the thoroughness of the vehicle inspections, the details and photos explaining services, and how well everything is communicated. They balance not being pushy with not being careless perfectly. I say that because when you take your car to the dealership for maintenance, they try to throw the kitchen sink at you with their recommended services. On the other end of that some places do not care if your vehicle is at risk they just do the bare minimum. I felt like they give the proper amount of concern and attention and they also listen to your feedback. My only two complaints is although they are not pushy about it, its still a business, and like all businesses their goal is to increase their profit. Suggesting you should get new parts when the current parts dont necessarily need to be replaced isnt ideal. But again, Im not holding this against them specifically because many auto shops do this. Thats just the down side of not being able to service your vehicle your self I suppose. And my services did take quite longer than anticipated. Especially considering the services were run of the mill stuff. But all in all great place and I look forward to bringing my vehicles here again.

I was a customer there today. I recently moved from another state to Maryland so I needed the State Inspection. I feared the worst, so my expectations were not nearly well met (in cost). This business has outstanding customer care, even through all the things were going through now.I called twice once to set everything up and another time to check on before/after hours dropoff/pickup. So I just moved to Germantown not long ago and needed to find a place that could do a state inspection on my car to get it registered. I found this place online and set up an appointment. All I have to say is my first time experience with them was exceptional! The staff were all helpful, friendly, and personable. They kept me up to date the whole time on my inspection and even offered me shuttle services to go throughout my day. Definitely plan to go back!

Have been using Precision Auto for many years. Staff is very personable, remember me and my car, and never try to pressure me to get any service. When you take your car in, you get a report card that lets you know the status of systems, the recommended service times for each, and whether your car needs it. They also point out what should be fixed right away and what can wait til next time. During Covid-19, they picked up my car, following quarantine guidelines, and when I got it back, it looked better than it has in years. The inside was completely wiped down, and they even got some of the sap off the hood. I recommend them without hesitation.

I like the customer service and the attention they provide. What I do not like or appreciate are the significant markups in prices for similar OEM parts that are found at dealerships at half the cost. They need to advertise they only use OEM parts from their own distributors and do not accept outside parts brought in from their customers. Not worth the money going here if you can stay away. Just go to a dealer to get the same if not better warranty at a significant lower price. I really did not like being cheated.

I bought a 2019 Chevy Tahoe in VA. Brought my Tahoe in for a Maryland inspection. Andy brought me into garage to show me some major issues under my truck. It had been in a bad accident. The dealer, must have tried to get over on me. It would have been a major expense to me, when these issue came up after the fact. I promptly took the truck back, for a full refund. I thank Andy for being so thorough. I would have been stuck with a busted up truck.

The crew here are always polite and professional and never pressure me about what needs fixing with my car. My car is in good shape thanks to them. When they cant finish the job in one day, they work it out so I can use my spare key to drive my car home and drop it off again the next morning, which is much more preferable to taking a bus. I take MARC to and from work so its very handy to drop my car off and walk to the Germantown station. They also have an after-hours drop box so I can retrieve my key if I pick up my car after hours. Overall, highly recommended.

The diagnostic information over the phone, and the shuttle are convenient.However, the service is very expensive. I got the rear pads, rotors, and calibers replaced, and changed the brake fluid at Precision. Less than 2 years ago, I changed the rear pads and rotors at the dealer. By checking the same task (pads/rotors), it is almost the same as what I paid the dealer (just $10 difference). Considering the same dealer has a 20% discount on brake jobs now, I am paying about $300 more at Precision if I went to the dealer.By the way, they dont accept external parts. So dont bother to buy your own parts if you are planning to do the job there.One more thing, it is probably the standard practice here in US that the auto shop will change the rotors when changing the pads. Thats what Precision staff recommended. However, my rotors are just less than 2 years old. After the job was finished, I somehow thought that it might not be necessary to replace the rotors. But again, it is probably the standard practice.

Driving home from work on the highway with a flat spare tire.... 10/10 DO NOT recommend... going straight to Precision Auto!? 10/10 DO recommend. I was treated so well from the moment I pulled into there parking lot. Maria opened the door and saw the distress on my face and immediately told me, we will figure this out it will all be okay. Of course frantic that I could not get home to get ready for work I explained I needed to call a friend to pick me up. Without even asking Maria asked the gentleman who drives the shuttle to please take me home! Three days later after so much help ordering tires and having them shipped directly to Precision Auto, my car was up and running on 4 BRAND NEW TIRES. My car was completely checked to make sure nothing else had to be taken care of. Everything was explained 100% to me; from price to different types of tires, to warranties.... All in all: 11/10 drivers recommend going to Precision Auto!

Precision did a thorough inspection, took pictures and sent me a full report that was completely transparent. The moment I walked in, Brinda greeted me with a smile and made me felt welcomed from the very beginning. They were able to see my car immediately regarding my windshield wiper issue; I was in and out of the shop under 15 minutes. Their overall customer service, friendliness and quality of the work was 110%. I HIGHLY recommend this place and Ill definitely be back for future car repairs/maintenance. The most impressive thing was the accessible, in-depth inspection report sent via text. I had only come in for an oil change. I have never seen anything like that and will return based on that. The service was great too! Tim, Maria, and Brenda were so helpful, great communicators and never made me feel like “just another customer.”

Friendly staff and very welcoming atmosphere. I like how they sent me a diagnostic to my phone prior to speaking to me about what I would like to have serviced so I could fully understand what my car needed to have done. Also, the shuttle service was reliable and a nice touch.

I recently moved to the area and needed to get my car inspected asap, so my car could be registered in Maryland. I called Precision and they got me in same day! I dropped my car off and was offered a shuttle home, About 2 hours later I received an electronic report card. It listed everything and is a great way to keep track of all aspects of maintenance. There were a couple things that *could* be done, but could also wait. They advised me on these items and let me decide. They were not pushy like some other places. They offered me a shuttle back to pick up the car. ( I have a pet peeve of places assuming you have multiple cars and leaving your car is nothing! This place offered *free* shuttle service) Everything was great. People are friendly and overall I could not have asked for anything more! I will definitely be taking my car here from now on for all needs! Thanks Precision auto!

Went for an emergency tire repair in the middle of the day. The work was completed quicker than I expected, and they even put the tire back on the car at no charge. Helpful and friendly, too!
