The fact that I scheduled an appointment and called to confirm for my daughter and in come in and the first thing they talked about was how much I will pay and when I said yes I know, they said they couldnt take her because they didnt have the time. And Im stuck trying to find an appointment on homecoming day. So sad and upsetting!

I went to Ulta in Geneva for hair products. I was a bit leery that the sales person in the store would not know what to suggest and that she might suggest a number of high priced items. I was dead wrong. My sales person Melodee was extremely knowledgable. She listen to what I needed and then she very thoughtfully came up with a number of products. And then she suggested that I buy the travel size bottles to see if I like them. I’ve used all the products and they worked really well and solved my hair issues. Melodee really impressed me and I will definitely go back for the larger sizes when I run out.

Stay far away from this place. We have made 3 separate appts to try and get my daughters hair highlighted prior to our vacation. We were cancelled on twice initially. Called to complain and they made accommodations for us to come in the next day and apologized. Guess what... We show up at our scheduled time and the stylist is not there. We even got a phone call confirming our appt which was left on our voice mail. I asked the woman who left the message why you would call to confirm an appt if there was an issue and the stylist was not even there? The reply I got was Im sorry, it was the wrong choice of words. No joke.. Then to top it off the acting store manager calls me back after we leave in disgust and my daughter crying in car and offers me $20 off our next visit. I have no words to explain what terrible service this place has. Im sorry I dont need your $20. We will just take our business elsewhere and I hope after several hundred people read this review they will as well.

Visited Ulta in Geneva, IL for the first time today. I was approached by a sales associate named Shannon who was the most kind and helpful person. She helped me pick out makeup for my wedding and gave me advice on other products that I might need. As I am very clueless about makeup, it was nice to have such a non-judgmental and knowledgeable person. She also helped me make an appointment at the brow bar for waxing. The associate who rang up my purchase was also friendly and efficient. I’m looking forward to visiting this Ulta again soon.

Everyone here is so nice and helpful! Especially Rachel, she helped me fix my make up so much. I really appreciate everyone’s uplifting energy here.

When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the Clinique girls Sam and Olivia. They were amazing! They both helped me separately as I was in the store a long time. Both young ladies were knowledgeable, attentive and kind and were not simply pushing the brand they worked for! They helped me throughout the whole store!!! It’s refreshing to see companies still hire reputable employees! The check out girl Gabrielle was also very quick and effective and I left the store in much better spirits than I did the last time I shopped here.

I got my hair done by Joselin and she really took the time to listen to what look I wanted to achieve. Then she walked me through the process and let me know what was plausible and realistic for my hair journey. She was very thorough and precise throughout the process and we managed to achieve my ideal look! I highly recommend her, she is very friendly and considerate of your hair goals! I absolutely fell in love with the finished product!

The aisles are so close together you have to bend in half to see bottom shelf items. Also cashier was talking rudely about how customers cant do math. I know were all young once, but its inappropriate.

So I recently started getting into facial/acne care. I always tend to take care of myself in every other manner...except my face. I had a list of things to get and had 0 idea where to find them or how to properly use them. I would like to recognize the following employees that went beyond my experience of any customer service: Shawnnice, Sara, Marry, Jenny, and Maggie. These individuals took very good care of mine because i wouldnt have any idea where to look. This trip took 15 min. Even more so, they even when to check the back AND the truck boxes to see if they had any available. And one of things i needed was sealed in a box. Talk about helpful, right? These women are great and i would just pop in to visit. Youll be well taken care of. I promise.

Best haircut to date!! Madison is so awesome!! She gave me the haircut I had been asking for from my previous couple hair stylists. I also get so much more for a lower price point than my previous salon. 10 out of 10 recommend Madison at Ulta in Geneva for your next haircut!

Morgan colored my hair and is an amazing artist. Every time Ive gone in with a color idea, its come out just the way I pictured. Highly recommend making an appointment with her!

ATTENTION consumers. This ULTA beauty Geneva location is not recommended to be supported. Heres why: I was in-store shopping, minding my own business, when an associate encroached upon me and proceeded to harass me. I was made to feel uncomfortable, as a Former loyal ULTA CUSTOMER, and their actions made me feel UNWELCOME. I did nothing illegal OR wrong, but was still told to leave this store.Ulta Beauty brand stores, already have a POOR reputation regarding a number of matters, this heard while speaking with a former employee at this same location. Do consumers want to support a brand that uses bullying and exclusion?

This is my favorite location. The staff is friendly and not intimidating at all when I have basic questions. I have used the salon and benefit bar with great results.

The work by the name of Ariel was very rude and had a horrible attitude. She asked for the last 4 digits of my phone number about 4 times when cashing me out. She then threw my money on the counter didn’t bother to place it in my hand which I found to be extremely disrespectful to a customer. The products were great but some of the workers were not. Maybe she was having a bad day but we all do and I did not appreciate her behavior at all.

Customer rep. was very attentive gave my sister a present to my sister for her birthday and gave us a 20%discount when we applied for the credit card

The lady that was suppose to work on my hair was having a hard time with prices. And when i told her what i wanted she said i will have a hard time doing it this way. Ill never shop at this location ever again. Worst place. I always get a hard time with having my hair done here. This was my girlfriend

I came to buy my foundation and a nice beautiful young lady name Cindy greeted me and informed me they were having a Murad event so of course I joined in. Everywhere I went the employees greeted me and were very friendly. Excellent customer service and cashing out was a breeze.

1/26- The staff and management were every helpful. During my shopping trip I was helped and at check out I had a few issue and management quickly accommodated them for me. The product selection is nice in both high end and drug store. Thank you!

I have never had a problem with any Ulta stores just this one in particular. When I went in I was looking for a blending brush for the eyes and I asked the employee and she just directed me to the section were a lot of brushes were. No recommendations, no nothing, the employee looked like she was in a bad mood. Other stores have been super helpful and the employees are always willing to help out the customer but not on this store. Maybe the employee was just having a bad day, it happens.

This store needs to learn about service. I walk in and Im always greeted, which is great. But then if I need help after that, I have to search for someone. Its not that the employees arent knowledgeable, its only that they arent available. I go to Sephora instead, simply because their service is over the top good.

I was accused of stealing today while taking off my prescription sun glasses and putting on my regular eye glasses. The female manager yelled across the store that I could not put unpaid for products in my purse. It was not an unpaid for product but rather my glasses cases. Yes, I am black but NO I do NOT steal and do not appreciate being publicly called out for something I did not do. I felt it was racial. I will not be going back to this Ulta and most likely no others. And it is not a black/white issue - indeed the manager is Hispanic. You do not have to be white to be racist or harbor prejudices against others or even your own people.

I only go to Ulta when they have an amazing deal or an exclusive product. Every time Ive come, employees do not seem to be very well-versed in all products (just their specific area), if they are even around to help. And they seem a tad annoyed to be helping. Go to Sephora if you can.

Jocelyn did my hair and makeup last minute for what I thought was going to be a wedding disaster. From the moment I met her she was kind, funny and determined to do the exact look I was going for Hollywood Glam. I was a completely unprepared without a photo or any other source to advise exactly what I wanted. However Jocelyn broke down every detail that Hollywood Glam looks entail. Not to mention, I was rushing her the entire time and texting on my phone the entire time to stay up to date on the daily wedding updates. She worked around my every move and kept me in awe the entire time she accented a different part of my facial features with her guru like makeup skills. All this and she managed to work hollywood glam curls into my fine and frizzy hard to hold a curl hair. When I looked in the mirror upon Jocelyns completion, you would not believe the transformation that took place. It was me, but with flawless skin, a sexy bold red lip, perfectly winged liner and gorgeously full lashes. I have gotten my hair and makeup done before but never felt as gorgeous as I did when Jocelyn provided my services. I will now and forever go to her for any special event as she knows what makes a women beautiful.

Rachel, lancome expert color & formula match me for foundation. Im mid 60s so she suggested Renergie lift makeup foundation and her color match is dead on perfection. This formula is lifting, hydrating, radiant and sunscreen ❤ LOVE this foundation and ULTA is lucky to have Rachel.

My daughter is writing this review for me in English, I had to write a review because I was so amazed how good customer service I experienced in this store. I only speak Spanish and it feels so nice to go to a store were the employees welcome you with open arms and are so sweet and helpful, I was there for only shampoo but the cashier in the front right away greeted me and when she seen me asking my daughter to ask her if they had shampoo for colored treated hair she right away reponded in Spanish I was so reliefed and she even helped me get other products I needed. Every one I came across were so nice is rare to go to a store and get this kind of service just wanted to say thanks muchas gracias .

First time I have ever been to an Ulta store because I have heard good reviews. I did not have a good experience. The staff member I encountered was rude towards me when all I did was ask if they had a certain product. She did not know and was not willing to check when I asked if she could.

Best my hair has ever looked. Zoe does amazing work, and the management team creates a friendly customer environment.

Workers are very friendly, but I waited in line for 20 minutes (on a Thursday afternoon.) There were only two workers running the register and several other workers came up behind the counter, but no one stopped to help check people out. By the time I finally was checked out, there was a huge line behind me waiting.

The store in Batavia is my favorite. Angela in the Clinique department is phenomenal. She always takes good care of me. And JT. One word: FIERCE!

This location is THE WORST. The staff are so unfriendly and make you feel as if you’re troubling them by asking for help. I usually make the trip into the Yorkville location because at least the staff at that location are friendly. This will be the last time I ever bother going into this location.

I used to LOVE Ulta. I would empty my wallet on all their awesome products. I have gotten my eyebrows waxed here and at the Bolingbrook location on the regular. I actually pay their overpriced eyebrow wax because I know I get awesome customer service.Unfortanetly, I wont be going back here. I went in on 8-4-16 to get my eyebrows waxed. It was the most painful experience ever. Molly put the wax on and then literally ripped the strips off my face. It hurt so bad and she could tell because she would make comments about it. I have a wart under my right eyebrow and have never had an issue with it before when getting waxed. But she wasnt paying attention and put wax over it and once again painfully ripped it off. I ended up bleeding and she told me I had an ingrown hair. She dotted some stuff on it, but I continued to bleed all the way through checkout. I told the cashier Melanie about my exeperience and how awful it was but she didnt seem to want to do anything about it & didnt offer a discount.I have never left bleeding before from an eyebrow wax, this isnt right, & they didnt seem to care whatsoever.Its been fun Ulta, but I wont be back.

Stopped in yesterday and got swarmed by two reps who asked what I was looking for. They didnt know the product lines well at all. I was asking whether two (very popular) items had been discontinued (they had been, but neither girl knew). Then I asked about suggestions for replacements, and they were clueless. I finally agreed to have one sit me down to try out a possible replacement product, which was a good match for my skin, but when I asked if it was a product tested on animals, she gave me completely incorrect information. (Lancome is absolutely animal tested, by the way. The rep told me it wasnt, and that only its parent company LOreal tests. Very wrong.) Reps need far better training on their product lines. Also, Ulta is just overpriced for everything. I only stop in because Sephora is so much further up the road, but I guess Ill just have to suck it up and go for a longer drive, because at least the Sephora peeps usually know their stuff.
