I had to stop and take a deep breath before the test drive because I was so excited. He was super patient and very fun and easy to talk to. I mentioned that I lost my sunglasses at the airport and he gifted me a brand new 🌈 rainbow pair. He made sure I had plenty of snacks and drinks for the trip home. I was in the market for an EV as my next vehicle and I wanted to test drive the ID.4. I contacted Classic Volkswagen of Gastonia and spoke with Julio who got me set up for a test drive. During my test drive I found Julio to be very knowledgeable on the subject of EVs and the features of the ID.4. After ordering through the Volkswagen website, I experienced several delivery missteps on the part of Volkswagen, but the folks at Classic Volkswagen of Gastonia were extremely helpful in following up on those issues and trying to get me up-to-date information on my order and when it would be delivered. They also kept me informed of other vehicles coming in that met most of the specifications of my ordered vehicle. I finally decided to cancel my order as Volkswagen was not able to give me a delivery date for the car that I had ordered. Instead I purchased directly from inventory at Classic Volkswagen of Gastonia, and drove my ID.4 home this weekend. I greatly appreciate the attentiveness and customer service focus of the folks at Classic Volkswagen of Gastonia.

I was shopping for a vehicle for our son online. Pricing was not available online but based on the year, mileage and features I thought the car might be close to the range we were looking-I completed the online inquiry. A rep immediately reached out via text and let me know the price. It was out the range, which is completely fine. We have the luxury of time. They asked if they could provide other options by asking our range and if we are firm on the make and model. We are firm on all of those things and fine with waiting until we find the right car. She sent a car that was within our range, I asked if it was at their store and we are able to come take a look at it. She said, it is in Gastonia and provided the address. They have a car that is the exact same color, model etc. My husband takes it for a ride, and ready and willing to sit down and talk pricing to purchase. They then tell us that the car is 19K and the one that we were sent the link to is at a Toyota Dealership in Gastonia. My husband said, but this is your address, right? Long story short, watch your back with these guys. They without a doubt are car sales people. We do not have time for games. We will not be buying a car from them and we strongly recommend you do your homework before making an appointment to see a vehicle.

Typically I hate dealing with car dealerships, but Julio and the team at Classic Volkswagen made buying a car a piece of cake. No haggling, honest, and very customer friendly. We actually bought two cars in a week and would highly recommend them for your needs! They are awesome and have excellent customer service! Go see them and they will treat you right! Gastonia VW Service Dept BLOWS. Go elsewhere for service. They been open a year or so and STILL one service advisor. Most times, cannot get ahold of anyone when calling, what dealership operates like that? They should close up their shop and leave it to VW of South Charlotte and Carolina VW to handle service in this region. Gastonia VW clearly is not equipped to run a service dept

Very nice folks to deal with. We have purchased 2 new vehicles here this year. No pressure sales tactics. Both times we got the vehicle we wanted at the deal we wanted.

We were very upfront with them about our current deal at a local dealership. We were very transparent. We were advised they would beat the current deal I had, so sure if they didnt they would pay us for gas on our 4 hour round trip to their dealership. Needless to say they were $5k higher on the same model, no gas was provided. They didnt even have the vehicle we were discussing prior to our visit. Was also advise they were offering over 120% for used vehicles. Being transparent we shared our vehicle would be going to auction, once we arrived they advised they are not sending vehicles to auction. Wife reached out to GM who promised to reach out to us 6 days ago as he was getting married. Just share this for anyone considering to travel there from a long distance. Trip could be a waste of your time.

Very responsive in regard to appointment for test driving and looking at the car. When it came to car order procedure and price, I neither got the questions answered nor could they give me an official binding quote. Not very business friendly. It is all about selling a car. Now, fast and easy. Did not listen to what customer requirement was.

Guys were amazing in the Service Department, did the oil change on my wife Smart Fortwo and fixed a damaged drain plug that another shop messed up trying to remove with pliers. The oil change and plug replacement was reasonably priced for a dealership. Will bring that car to them for everything.

I just moved to Belmont, NC and have a 2018 Atlas that has had a persistent issue with the check engine light coming on for no reason. I bought my vehicle in SC and the dealership could not find the problem and never resolved it for me. I went to the Gastonia dealership and spoke with the service manager who assured me they would fix it...and they did! They communicated with me several times, ordered parts, repaired it within the time frame promised. Best dealership I’ve ever dealt with!

I met Kent and John back in January and unfortunately the deal didn’t work in my favor but these gentlemen kept in contact with me anyway. Classic Volkswagen is wonderful! Not pushy at all. Test drove a Tiguan in January. Decided we were going to wait before buying a vehicle. After contemplating selling the truck myself, I decided to go to the dealership and look at vehicles. I decided on one and we were able to get a fair deal and thetrade in price I was promised. We came in and 6:30 PM and they close at 8. Everybody stayed late to take care of all the paper work and detail the newcar. We couldnt make a deal but the salesman and the sales manager were very polite and courtesy. I had a budget that I wanted to stay inside of and the numbers just wouldnt work despite being an all cash deal plus a trade. I am not going to downgrade them on that because it is business and they have a profit threshold they have to meet to remain open. I loved the used truck they had for sale. The truck was so immaculate that it was on the front row. It was exactly what I wanted but my number was outside the number they needed. The place is brand new and looks great.

Just a great experience. I didnt feel pressured, the sales team let the vehicle sell itself. They were very knowledgeable and helped me save a few dollars and still get all the bells and whistles I really wanted. I feel like the General Manager went to bat to get me the best interest rate, the most money for my trade in, and all the rebates I was due. It was one of things that made me move forward with my purchase. When I buy my next car, Im coming back to Classic and will definitely refer others.

Drove 3 hours for an awful experience. Salesman was pushy, inexperienced, and would not let us have a conversation alone. Felt watched and pressured the whole time.
