I double checked all Eddies recommendations and prices against the Subaru Outback forums, another Dallas mechanic, and a friend who works on a lot of Subarus, and Eddie was spot on with all his recommended maintenance and his prices were fair even with knowing I was from out of town and trying to get back on the road. I asked him a lot of questions and he was very thorough with how he diagnosed the car and the explanations he gave. Ive had nothing, but a positive experiences with North Dallas Imports over the last 3 years. From a 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged to a 2005 Infiniti G35 Sedan theyve done well. North Dallas Imports has handled basic preventative maintenance as well as control arms, radiator replacement, alignments, etc.... I trust them.

I got my valve adjustment and valve cover gasket done on my Acura TSX. They were able to finish it the same day since I dropped my car off early in the morning. The cars power delivery is smoother now and there is less valve noise. It was cheap at $280.I had to take off 2 stars for 3 BIG issues:dirty car after it was worked on,whoever drove my car revved it up pretty high in first gear while driving (I checked my dashcam),and they parked it in first gear without using the parking brake. And let the tire bulge up against the yellow parking block....My car was clean and freshly waxed when I brought it in. Afterwards it left the shop with a lot of dirty hand prints over the fenders. There was also Hondabond or RTV gasket maker residue on my fender. Luckily, I noticed before the gasket maker dried/ Had to give my car another wash.I checked my dashcam and it seemed like whoever was driving the car to move it to a different parking lot drove the car hard in 1st gear. Sounds like it was at 4500 to 5000 rpm in first gear while cold.........Youre supposed to shift out of first gear at 3000 rpm when the engine is cold.Last issue is that they parked my car in first gear and let the tire push up against the parking spot yellow block. I would prefer if they left my car how it was before they worked on it. They way I left it was parking brake ENGAGED and in reverse. Reverse being that I parked head in, so if someone releases the clutch without taking it out of gear, they wont hit the parking block.They also never called me to inform me when the cars valve adjustment was done. I had to call in about an hour before they closed while I was still in Carrollton.

Im a Land Rover owner and have been coming to North Dallas Imports for more than five years. The team here is AMAZING. They are honest and transparent, and they work with you to create a repair plan that fits your budget. They take a lot of pride in their work (which they do quickly, by the way), and only fix what needs to be fixed – not like some of the dealerships that add on services and repairs. Land Rovers can be expensive to fix but the team at North Dallas Imports has made it much, much easier for us to keep our old Rovers. I seriously wouldnt even think about owning a Land Rover out of warranty without these guys.

Recently my girlfriend and I had tires replaced by one of the large tire chains (whom shall remain nameless but does consist of x3 letters in the name). They were very emphatic that we needed to spend over $1K with them in new suspension parts and labor. To the point that we were concerned with putting our lives in jeopardy by continuing to drive the vehicle one mile further.Before moving forward with the BIG BOX, I recalled a friend mentioning a great experience they had with the team at North Dallas Imports. Since they specialized in Japanese brands I would not have thought of them for our German. To my delight they were not only able to assist but did an outstanding job of diagnosing the vehicles real issues. They were honest and straight forward with their findings and rather than take us for more than we needed to spend, they told us the truth.The personalized care, attention to detail and apparent genuine want to create long term relationships based on honesty and trust was refreshing. Many times issues with vehicles can be like finding a ghost in the machinery and this makes people susceptible to unscrupulous business tactics. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Told me what repairs were potential safety hazards and which ones I could go without for awhile since Im planning on selling my car. They fixed some lug nuts on a tire and accidentally did the wrong ones. When I went to discount tire down the street and found this out, the owner sent someone from his shop to come replace them there on the spot! Very good service and they stand by their work!

Im never too excited to need car repairs, but I love the people at North Dallas Imports! I have a 90 Honda Civic wagon that needs occasional love and they treat her right. They have been very helpful always. I have been going there for many years for my two Hondas. I even change oil with them only (I drive long distance to do so) because they do a good job and they do not damage my car or try to (like many others shops and dealers, with the hopes I would buy a new car or do a more expensive repair). Very trustworthy! I’ve been going to these guys for years. Due to the recent tornado, my car suffered significant damages. The guys at NDI inspected and informed me of damages sustain and have referred me to a reputable body shop for further assistance. They are honest and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this business; they know what they are doing. They don’t try to overprice the services because I’m a woman.

Ive been taking my 4runner to North Dallas Imports for several years and have had consistent good experiences with service/expertise, honesty and reasonable prices. The first time I came to their shop another competitor had just suggested that I get several items fixed so I wanted to get a second option. I took it North Dallas Imports and they told me I only needed 1 item fixed out of the 5 items that the competitor suggested, thus saving me about $1000. Just recently I had a loud noise coming from under my car and North Dallas Imports dropped me off at work and kept my car all day looking for the source of the noise. After finding the problem, they did not charge me a penny and suggested I could potentially save some money by getting it covered under a special extended warranty offered by Toyota for the defective part causing the noise. I highly recommend this company.

I am almost 110% positive employees and people are paid to leave reviews. This company has an F with the BBB they are not import specialists, or specialists at all. I brought my 1997 Saab 900 SE Turbo ( body WAS mint condition with no dents) in to get a simple Drive Belt put on and the tech not only didnt wipe the work grease off my car, they also dented it. Of course I got super upset. This was absolutely ludicrous. I called the justice of the peace and they even laughed when I told them which company I was filing a complaint with. It is unfortunate, coming from a family that is auto mechanic savvy, and not having the means to fix my vehicle and bringing to professionals just to have them patronize me. Even though one of the guys I dealt with was Latino he totally reminded me of the baby-booming misogynistic white men from back home! Dont fret for I am a 32 year old white woman, so I know my way around a bit of misogyny, unfortunately. Wes coundnt put a whole sentence together whether checking me in with my vehicle or me bringing to his attention the damage done to my vehicle. Literally one word responses. I was blown away. PLEASE PLEASE do not take your vehicle here! there are SO many other options in Dallas. I am not from Dallas, as therefore I was DUPED by the paid for reviews. ALWAYS check BBB for this kind of work! All I have to say is take pictures of your vehicle inside and out. Our bumper was damaged when we got our car back and they did not take responsibly. I can say more, but will not waste my time.

Eddie, Andy and the guys at North Dallas Imports are awesome. I always take my 2001 Honda Accord to the shop for all the major repairs I cant do myself. Theyre consistently less expensive and more knowledgeable than the dealership. I recently took my car to the dealership for the airbag recall and got of quote on changing out my bad ignition, which locks up and wont allow the key to turn regardless of whether the cars wheel lock mechanism was on. Eddie quoted me at over $150 less than the dealership and was still able to drive my car home and save on paying for a ride while waiting for parts. Luckily, the guys were able to bypass the ignition turn mechanism and showed me how to start and stop my car in the meantime. I love this place and totally trust these guys with my car. Very pleased.

Just had my Acura MDX 2011 in for the A123 service. I found the staff (Andy in particular) to be very honest, professional and knowledgeable. Very clean and inviting shop, well worth the 45 min drive. The cost of service was well below what the dealership or other highly reputable shops online (Yelp or Google reviews) wanted.Thank you for the great service!

The most important thing for me is customer service and reliable parts. They treated me REALLY fair and all have Honda experience. No gimmicks or upselling and things you dont need for your vehicle. They are straight shooters and give you options. I have already referred two other people and just visited today. All parts are Honda parts, not generic at all, and the cost for all the work they do cant be beat anywhere! I am very happy I found this company and will be back if any other work needs to be done on my car.

It isnt often my otherwise reliable Honda has issues, but the rattling noise coming from my 2008 Accord sounded very serious. Having only 85,000 miles, I was shocked to hear I needed a new A/C compressor. Knowing this was going to be an expensive repair, I was reluctant to service it at the dealer. I found North Dallas Imports online and upon consulting with them, my worries were immediately put to rest. They were professional and clearly very knowledgeable. I was so relieved to find their cost significantly less than what I was quoted elsewhere. I was even more relieved (more like, ELATED) when I was told they didnt need to replace my compressor after all, just the water pump (a considerably less expensive repair). What an honest establishment! They’ve definitely made a returning customer out of me!

This is the worst auto repair shop I have dealt with in my life. I took them my 2003 Suzuki Aerio to them because it wasnt accelerating like it should, plus the engine light was on, they inform me it was the mass air flow sensor and that it needed to be replaced, I also what them to recharge my AC, they told me it would cost $540 for everything, so I went to pick up my car and soon as I drove off the same problem with the car not accelerating was just as bad as when I took it to them, which let me know they didnt even test drive the car to see if they fixed the problem and the AC was blowing out the same quality air as when I took it to themTook my car to Rallye Auto and they informed me I just needed new spark plug, he installed them now my car runs fine, he also fixed my AC, told me they didnt charge it but half way full, so I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS !!!!!!!!

Took two of my classic cars to them for a free estimate to install parts I furnished. Never got a written or oral quote for several months. They called and said someone stole wheels and tires when they took my cars, without my permission or knowledge, and parked them behind a business close by. Refused to pay for thousands in damage and later found my cars shoved against concrete wall in their shop with paint and body damage. They then demanded $18,000 in storage fees and attempted to have the cars auctioned. I hired a lawyer and filed a lawsuit in Dallas County, and it is still pending. Ive purchased over a hundred cars in my lifetime and I have a large car collection. These are only some of the facts in this case and this information should not be relied upon (legal disclaimer per my lawyer), but instead you should check all public records regarding the lawsuit. They operate under NDI, Inc., d/b/a North Dallas Imports. Eddie Nunez tells people he is the owner, but the Secretary of State shows Nearioth L. Kong (a female) as the owner. However we tracked her down as an employee for another company. BEWARE!!!

Not only are they over priced but they treated my car like a junk car. they found a motor problem and told me I needed a new motor. I said ok Ill take it back home. they charged me 670. I guess that was that was for labor. then I asked them to put all the parts in the trunk in a box if they can. they agreed but I found loose parts under my hood, loose in my trunk, and the cover of my fuel tank damaged from them putting the parts box on it. And to top it off my battery upside down and leaking in my trunk!

This is a great shop run by honest people. Im always skeptical when I go to a mechanic because they often assume that I dont know anything about cars and then give me a bull excuse on why they want to charge me more than it should cost. This shop was not like that. They gave me accurate quotes over the phone, which was cheaper than the dealership (even though they do the same things as the dealer and use oem parts just like the dealership) I had my timing belt changed as well as the 90K mile check up for my car and they took care of everything in one day ( I thought it would take longer) They gave me a break down of what they did, the inspections, what they found, and what they recommended in repairs (without pushing any repairs on me) They were very down to earth and explained exactly what repairs would be needed soon and why. The best part was that they were honest about it, no made up excuses to get my car back in for repairs I didnt need. I even thought I might need a brake job when I brought it in because it had been a while, but they told me that my bakes were good even though I was ready pay for it. Because of their honesty, prices, and quality work, I will definitely be coming back to them again.

I used to go there to service my Subaru Outback. Gave them several chances (was there at least 3x for various repairs), but poor repair 2/3 times. They did a good job of installing new CV axles, but for the small jobs and details, they dont pay attention or care. Lost several of my underbody bolts to attach the shield/bumper underneath, so destroyed part of my underbody shield just from driving down the road. Asked them to fix my non-functional windshield pump/cleaning system, they determined it was old hoses, so they reinstalled them early 2016. I just had a hose in the hood get eaten up (October 2016), the same source of the problem last time. Either they put in the wrong type of hose or never replaced that segment. And they charged me almost $200 for that. Asked them about squeaky power steering and they recommended replacing the entire assembly for over $1000. Did some basic Google research and found out is was probably an O-ring near the pump, took it to Autoscience who confirmed and fixed it for $80. They dont know much about Subarus and dont care to learn in order to do a proper job. Service times went beyond what was estimated at least once. Understandable that sometimes things get backed up for turnaround time, but add this onto shoddy service, and its not acceptable. Very, very disappointed for wasting my money here.

I have a car with them with issues. I kniw it was in time cause a corrupt but competent mechanic did it for me after a methed out piece of garbage named Jeff Perdiue put some heads on. So this Wes guy said it needed timed and charged me for that. He made something up it sounded like by saying the other guy timed it 180 off...most likely he did when he retimed it and like the below review from Angies list it seems like theres no accountability. They still have my car so Ill provide updates. Ill pay them because evilness always get Godly Karma so Im not worried. Heres the Angies List ReviewHeres a review from Angies List: Transmission Service7 months agoReplaced the transmission in my 2002 Honda Civic EX. They actually broke more things then they fixed. I started a small claims lawsuit against the owner and lead mechanic Wes Armstrong. They eventually installed the correct transmission but left numerous items broken or non working. IE: Glove box: Gear selector lights on center console. Parts were left in the car & things are not fitted together. Additional damage has occurred with improper workmanship.Initial contact was fine and reasonable. From Dec 2015-Jan 2016 we discussed Installing a JDM transmission & engine. On 1/16/16 the transmission failed completely, and I elected to do the transmission repair alone. 1/21 the car was supposedly finished at a cost of $840. The check engine light was on Wes assured me it was fine and car would clear itself with driving. That night it started to shudder and jerk when moving from Park to Drive. Friday night vehicle worst and I could smell transmission fluid burning. Saturday it started smoking and slipping. Returned car Mon 1.25 told them list of problems, they said we will take care of it. They wouldnt even go with me for a ride to experience the danger. Thur.1/28 pick up car light on & vehicle is even worst. No drive light at all, when attempting to move the snifter the 2nd gear light will come on and blinks. Wes has the nerve to tell me they fixed rings replaced seal but didnt have a chance to test drive it. Give me a suggest list of another $3265 of needed repair my car which I dont have to do all at one. Only receipts given are totally BS. Both have same date on it, the exact same mileage. But the parts & repairs needed were pulled out of the air like $594 for an oil change, over $1000 for motor and transmission mounts which were fine before going there. Wes is either intoxicated beyond belief or a complete and total con man. There is no QA QC or any real contact with the customer and no one in the shop can tell what has been done or said. The lack of communication was dismal and horrid. Considering what I read on other web sites review I am surprised they are even in business at all. Still considering some legal options as my car is a delivery vehicle and this has cost me thousands of $ in lost income. They put my life and others in danger with substandard repairs. Wes Armstrong didn’t even own up to making the mistakes let alone apologizing for this disaster. I am still attempting to have the additional damage done to the car repaired. Eddie Munez needs to completely rethink his business plan or that place will no longer exist. NDI does great work! For years I drove across town to the Acura dealer but now I dont have to. I found the guys at NDI who are all Acura/Honda certified technicians.
