Got Transmission fixed and thought I was paying a bit more than expected $5k, but wanted it done correct by someone who had experience repairing Transmissions. Now getting a estimate to fix Starter for $1400 I know they overcharge. Got starter replaced (parts/labor/life warranty) for $375 at shop 2 mins away. Never going back. Nice people, but not $1000 nice! BEWARE!!!!

They had recommended that I go to someone who specializes in transmissions since my Change transmission fluid indicator light was on.So, I spoke with Doug to schedule, brougt my car in the next day for the service and it was ready to pick up same day. Doug was friendly, courteous throughout the process. That gave me greater peace of mind. How a service team treats you, says a lot about how they will treat your car.When I picked my car up and drove off I could tell the difference in the drive immediately. Much smoother! Im very please! Before repairing my transmission Eagle Trans explored multiple lower cost options and alternatives to make sure that we did not do a more extensive or expensive repair than required. Once we determined the exact issue they fixed my transmission quickly and on the budget that they had given me. All told Eagle Transmission saved me more than $2,000 over the cost estimate given to me by the first shop I went to.I have already recommended Eagle Transmission to friends and family and will not hesitate to recommend them in the future.

I called Eagle Transmission and spoke to Doug about a leak I started to notice under my truck and wanted to see if they could look at it without me having to stay there waiting before they could get to it. Doug told me they were busy but if I could get it to them soon after the phone call he would get it checked out without me having to stay there for hours. The truck was looked at, I was told my cost options and never pressured by Doug to get it repaired. I was in and out within 30 to 35 minutes with the information I needed concerning my truck. THANKS DOUG!!

MY 2014 JEEP TRAILHAWK WAS TAKEN TO THEM. THEY SAID THE BATTERY WAS THE WRONG SIZE, SO THAT WAS MAKING MY SERVICE TRANSMISSION LIGHT COME ON. PUT A NEW BATTERY ON MY JEEP SAID HE DROVE IT 60 MILES AND IT WAS FINE. I ASK WHAT WAS WRONG AND WAS AGAIN TOLD HE DROVE IT 60 MILES AND IT WAS FINE. This has to be the BEST auto repair shop Ive experienced. With no hesitation they rescued me from being stuck in the middle of the street and provided me with an answer for why in less than 5 minutes. They worked towards a resolution without asking for anything additional. Theyre main focus was putting me and my son back on the road SAFELY. Took my car in for rattling noise in the front, was told it was shocks and something broken. Was repaired in a timely manner. Received a follow up call a week later to make sure everything was fine.

I have 2012 ford focus at 75k mile. Firstly left my car for free diagnostic, then they could not find anythink. They said we must open the transmission and figure out whats happening. The cost will be 399.99 + 79.99 diagnostic. I accepted and they removed the transmission.After that they give me a quote 5.400$ for change transmission with new, 4.000$ for used. I accepted used one because i trust theirself. They said our offer best. And i went ford offical services for quote, they give me 3.000$ for brand new transmission with 2 year waranty. I went half day later this fraud transmission shop again and i decided to cancel because they overcharger. They did not want to cancel my process first, we have talked about it. They said we have ordered your transmission, i said ok i will pay return cost. Then they said we will install your transmission again and we are gonna charge additional 399.99$. My total was 1054.98$ you can see the receipe. They are 100% overcharger. They are not trustful. Stay away from this shop.

Jeff may just be THE most personable, concerned and thorough guy behind the desk Ive come across. Ive never had someone at a mechanic shop show such concern. Pricing may have been slightly higher than those I shopped him against for the transmission rebuild (but not for the differential rebuild and tune-up), but his warranty was way better and again, how he went about his business won me over. You get what you pay for in this business it seems. He and his crew, Tommy and Rudy, have a customer for life. Highly recommend.

Did a great job at replacing the transmission on my Subaru outback. Jeff made sure that I get the car back quickly and arranged for my car to be picked up at my home considering my busy work schedule. Jeff did all this for a steal of a price. No other transmission shop could even come close. The quality did not get impacted by the price. He made sure to replace with OEM fluids and filter. Ive had the car back for almost 2 months now and its running great. I would highly recommend anyone thinking about getting transmission work done to go here. Ask for Jeff, he will take care of you!!

Jeff was awesome. I honestly was just ready to trash my van because of all the bad advice I was being given. I called and told Jeff the symptoms my newly placed transmission was having and he told me to just stop by and see if it needed a quick relearn. I stopped by and spoke with Mike who was very nice and shared a story about a van similar to mine. They did not even charge me to complete the quick relearn and so far my van is driving great. I will be coming back if I have issues later on. Great customer service and will recommend!!!

Great work and good service. Had to get my two front rotors replaced and they had me up and running before end of day. Took about 4-5 hour and Im pleased with the results. (I came here thinking I had another problem and found out they are not a one trick pony) Very satisfied

2010 Chevrolet Malibu 2LTDisclaimer: We do not know much about cars.I took my car here because the transmission had given out. My car would only reverse after being stopped for a minute. I live near by and looked at the google reviews. I was asked to leave my car over night since I worked during their regular business hours. The next day when me and my husband stopped by to pick it up and go over the diagnostics they told us that it needed a brand new transmission. That the work that had to be done on it was too much and not worth it. They quoted me around $3,000.00. Since at that time we didnt want to put that type of money into it we took it back home. We trusted in them and could really not drive it around from shop to shop because of the issue it had. My car sat there for about 3 months until one day when I was trying to sell it the guy that came to look at it checked out the transmission and let us know that it was something as simple as needing some minor work done and adding new transmission fluid. The cost to have it fixed was about $40.00. So no they are not trustworthy and a fraudulent shop. If I could I would take stars off.

Had my car towed in after it left me stranded on 635. Erik called me and walked me through the entire diagnostic process and very calmly explained to me the repair process. They kept me up to date every day with an update everyday and had my car back working like new 3 days later. They also offered to take care of a couple other issues that I knew about while it was in their care. Thank you for all your help.

Please stay away from this place, previous was a joke and so was the manager. These guys had my vehicle for 2 months on a transmission rebuild. They could not figure out issues and I ended up taking it somewhere else. I had to pay for the transmission rebuild so please stay away.

These gentlemen are great! They repaired my transmission in my 2011 chevy malibu for a fair price. Some things you just cant go cheap on, and Id rather pay a little more rather than have more issues down the road or my transmission fall out with my kid in the car! Their quote stated $700, then after few days they called me and told me job is done. i went there. they charged me $1600. they said theyve found something it has to be fixed. Ok.. but you gotta tell me what that is. you can not just fix whatever and charge me more than double. i refuse to pay the difference. then they said they can not release the vehicle until i pay. i paid but didnt sign the receipt. then i charged back thru bank. and theyre calling me all day. ok scammers. if you have problem, see ya at court :)

I am Stephen Merrell a retired engineer and part time shade tree mechanic. In May of 2016 I had a great experience at the Eagle Transmission on Plano road in Garland. The technicians Veto and Clay were outstanding. I highly recommend that shop and am especially appreciative to those two men. I had done extensive work on my Grand Daughters 2005 Honda Civic engine. In the process I broke one of the transmission connectors. It was in a place and the damage was such that it was VERY HARD TO DETECT. Those two men found the problem, loaned me the tools to make the needed repair, and charged me only for the replacement part.May of 2019The following is my second positive review of Eagle Transmission at Plano road and Forest in Garland. This shop has new management since my experience with them in May of 2016. However, the new management seems to be just as good. I highly recommend this shop. A widow lady that attends the same church as my wife and I was having intermittent transmission issues with her 2006 Honda accord. Eagle at first diagnosed it as motor mount failures. I purchased new motor mounts with the thought of installing them myself to save the lady this cost. However, before I could install them the transmission acted up again in a much more serious manner. I took the car back to Eagle they diagnosed the need for a transmission over haul, quoted a reasonable price and offered to install the new motor mounts at no additional cost. A few days after the lady received the car back it started making another serious noise. One of the motor mounts was either defective or the associated mounting bolts were not torqued properly. Eagle replaced the mount, it’s attachment bracket and the mounting bolts free of charge. Again, I recommend this shop.

Waste my time and money coming here they over charge on everything and take weeks to Months to get the job done the guy Jeff especially is unprofessional he lied to me about fixing a few parts on my car and even cursed at me over the phone my transmission went out few months after rebuilding it after the 2 and time they voided my warranty they always try to scam you especially on income tax season would not recommend this shop at all to anyone.JEFF is a good scammer he always scamms and over charges everyone Everytime I ask him about my car always tells me something new he forgets about wat he is gona do and never gets things done.JEFF is a lazy guy who sits behind the counter just waiting to rob people never gets nothing done right I seen a few ppl waiting on him they lookd irritated said he had them waiting for hours and they all say that he lied to them and there car still not ready some on le had said there car was here for 1year till it got fixed they took 5 months to fix mine not only do they over charge you but you have to wait months to get you car back and it will break down in few weeks they do something so you have to go back and get it fixed dont go there worst shop ever in my life wasted over 3500 and my car was still not running good.

In October of this year, I took my 2006 Kia Spectra EX to Eagle because it was going into limp mode and because they are in walking distance from my office. At first they said it was a wire from the alternator to the TCM and one of the solenoids. A couple of days later, they said it was the ABS control module. They tried three different ABS control modules to no avail, claiming they were all junk parts. They even said they sent my old one in for core. They claimed not to be able to figure it out and I didnt pay anything because the issue was not resolved. So, that was good, I suppose.I picked up my car and took it down the street to a company called B&N Automotive. They specialize in auto electrical systems and had them run a diagnostic. Turns out my car didnt have anti-lock brakes. B&N Automotive correctly diagnosed the problem with my car which, and this is pretty funny, was a bad wire from the alternator to the TCM and a bad solenoid. Eagle had it right the first time. Im not sure why they second guessed themselves. I took it to Clutches and Gears Transmission off of Shepherd St in Garland, TX, on B&Ns recommendation, and got a used valve body installed. My car runs just fine now.So, in effect, the tech at Eagle was trying to put a part on my car when my car wasnt even compatible with the part and pretty much wasted three weeks of my time. It seems to me, if you were going to employ somebody at your establishment, youd want them to be able to tell right away if a car has certain options built into it or not. Also, why would the manager claim my ABS control module was sent away for core when, in fact, it didnt have an ABS control module to begin with?I feel like a lot of this was unnecessary and avoidable were Eagle honest and forthright with me. It also makes me feel like theres a break down in communication between the manager and the technicians that needs addressing.

Great customer service.My transmission was failing, I was trying to get the last bit of life out of it when it catastrophically failed while driving. While coasting in to the nearest parking lot with a plume of smoke behind me, I looked up and I was at Eagle Transmission. Well I am grateful thats where I ended up. Vito and the guys got me back on the road and put new life into my car in a timely manner.The entire staff was professional and courteous. Crooks. BE VERY CAREFUL dealing with these guys, especially the manager, James. They will rip you off. They say its a free diagnosis. Then tell you its $4k to rebuild your transmission. Way too much. Then if you tell them No thank you, they charge you $750 for that Free diagnosis. If you dont pay the $750, you dont get your vehicle back. This is a scam. They try to force you into paying the $4k even though that that amount is 2x what a usual transmission rebuild costs. They operate in the same way Just Brakes used to do. Thats why they are no longer in business.I will be leaving this review on EVERY search engine site. Look on RIP OFF REPORT.

I took my car to have my transmission clutch looked at because it was making some noises as I was driving. They performed a free diagnostics for me and was able to tell me what was wrong and provided my with a quote. Bob and Peter also took the extra time to help me by performing additional work while the transmission was out which would of cost me more had I gotten it done elsewhere. I would highly recommend them to all my friends for any work they need on their cars and would return for other repairs.
