Local Filipino store and restaurant for travellers! Many people will probably drive 50+ miles away from Gainesville to find another Filipino restaurant, but dont say no to this place. I wasnt able to find any reliable reviews of this place, but Im glad and honored to be able to say something about this hidden jewel.Ambience: Convenience store to the right of the store that has snacks for the road or some pasalubong for the parents - restaurant on the left that serves amazing, homemade food. Overall, the atmosphere is warm, cozy, and familiar - definitely a home away from home!Service: Its run by a couple that has had the store open for 10+ years. Theyre so sweet and friendly, and youll have your food in a flash!Price: One plate is $6.99; it comes with a heap of rice and your choice of two entrees on top. Price Range: $Menu: All homemade food that ranges from Kaldareta to Ginaatan. When I visited, they served Adobo, Dinuguan, Kaldereta, Ginaatan, Ampalaya, and Pancit Bihon. Menu changes from time to time, so come often to try everything!
I just came from this place and it’s absolutely amazing. It’s a family owned business and the people there were so warm and friendly. The people there were so helpful and wonderful it felt like I was back in the Philippines. They had everything I was looking for which was great but the service was just all over fantastic. I will definitely go again. I can’t say enough good things about this place.
Ive been coming to this store for more than 10 years, the staff is very friendly and they have almost everything you need for your Filipino cooking needs! When we need to send a balikbayan box to PI we go through them and they come and pick up out boxes at our house and usually have really good prices for shipping in the winter.
The food was delicious definitely worth going back!!!
Great food and customer service.
Well stocked and fairly priced! Friendly too...
Very clean interior, many types of Filipino dishes, snacks, etc. Service was excellent.
Home-made savory taste. Indeed a Tahanan experience away from home.
Nice friendly service. Lots of Filipino goods.
My wife loves it now under new owners.
Best place to visit after Church, the food are exellent and price is reasonable. Good for Students and for those who want to taste authentic Filipino food, and go Shopping after.
Great, home made food and huge portions at an amazing price! The owners are very friendly and welcoming, I love this place.
You might think this place is shady, but the food is delicious! They give you so much, for so cheap! Here’s a little tip, they only cook on Sundays and Tuesdays, so make sure to go here on those days if you want to eat. If you want some Filipino candies or goodies, they’re only closed on Monday, and open on the rest of the week.
Small family-owned jewel hidden away in an old strip mall, but first-class food. If you would like to try a taste of the Philippines you wont be disappointed.

This is the bees knees. The owners are the kindest people Ive met. When I use to live in Gainesville I would go here every Sunday.. I still have dreams about their dinuguan. It tastes like home. If you havent been here, ask yourself, what are you doing with your life?
Expensive and very very limited stock. However, if you are Filipino, it is a great way to catch up with the community since they are in the know.
Brings me closer to my comfort foods back home!
The owner and his family are so friendly and the food is DELICIOUS!!! 2 thumbs up
