We went to Publix kind of late last night to grab some quick dinner and a few groceries. When we were there, I was kind of cold so I had my arms crossed around me in the deli section. David from the deli came up to me and told me that the warmers are great to stand by to warm up. He was super kind and helpful, and when I told him I was looking for something he helped me find exactly what I wanted even when the warmers had been shut down for the night. He was incredibly kind, and you could tell that he cares. I had been having the worst day Ive had in a long time, and his kindness helped change that for the better. I wanted to leave a review to make sure he knows Im grateful for his kindness and let Publix know he is doing a great job!

Nice quaint Publix - feels like a small footprint, and the parking situation is challenging- I always have to walk from the back of the parking lot. The staff is very friendly. The bathroom was clean. Location is easy access to main intersections. Photos as of March 2021.

I always thought Publix was a nice store until I recently had the opportunity to shop at an Ingles...wow, Publix doesnt come anywhere close to Ingles.

Publix... Its good obviously, parking lot is odd and there is too many businesses in that area. There is hardly any parking ever but lots of variety in businesses around the Publix. Overall pretty good just no parking

Publix is the best grocery store I’ve ever been to in my entire life! Wide selection, always CLEAN-unlike some other stores I could name. Staff is ALWAYS friendly & helpful if I can’t find something. They even sometimes special order products they have access to. Occasionally they’ve even added 1 or 2 to their shelves as standards. I LOVE the Millhopper store- close, convenient, & excellent service.

This has to be the absolute worst Publix market anywhere. Really hate shopping here and avoid it like a Covid plague! About 75% of the time, the deli dept is out of popcorn chicken, corn nuggets and to a lesser extent, chicken tenders. Ordering deli meats is ones of the most time-consuming, painful experiences ever (first world problem, i have to admit!). But it never fails that when theyre out of these food items, i end up trekking it another 1.5 miles North to HC Publix and they have everything i need!The only redeeming part of this store is the pharmacy, but unfortunately not enough for me to keep shopping here. Been trying to purchase as much of what i need from Trader Joes and avoid Publix altogether 😕

I like to go here because the produce seems to be fresh and the selection is different than some stores. Its clean and organized. People wear masks a lot in this store.

On 6/7/2021, I placed two online orders for deli platters. A Boars Head Meal Small Turkey Sandwich Wheel and the same for Ham to be picked up the next day for a pool party.When I arrived the next day to pick up my order the store had no record of it even though I received a confirmation email.The staff at the Deli were extremely nice and helpful to get my order ready without hesitation without delay!! And they were eager to try to figure out why the online service didn’t function didn’t work as it should have.Kudos to my local Publix Deli Staff for making my pool party sandwiches a success no one even knew there was a little glitch.P.S. the sammies were excellent as always!!Thank You!!!

A bad experience with cashier. Who rude to dementia person. Very surprised at bad attitude and lack of patience. Been shopping a publix for years they have been known for great customer service. What happened

Its a shame to see the downward spiral of a retail chain. Been a loyal customer for YEARS, but this location is my least favorite to go to. As soon as you walk in and see the brightly lit self check out, you immediately feel the discount retail vibe this location emotes. They dont even bother with a normal express line any more. If I wanted the discount experience Id go to a discount place and pay discount prices. Its a shame that Publix is now repositioning themselves as a discount store.

A grocery store with a deli that makes the best subs. Wait there is more, It has a food bar/salad bar. Choice of six soups as well. It has the greatest service in all departments.

Always super clean and staff is always polite and helpful. Deli is one of the better Publix delis in town and they always tend to have a last minute roasted chicken to take home when other locations never make enough.

I will go out of my way to go to this particular publix, because they have self checkout 🤣. Also though, the area is mostly families and older people, so the clientele there tend to be a bit less obnoxious, and they have more grown up foods for lack of a better term. Thats in comparison to say- the Publix on campus which quite clearly caters to college kids, and only carries the most basic of necessities, and a wide variety of cheap packaged foods, beer, and chips.

Great store. Lots of premade food items, both pre-cooked and ready to make. Great produce and seafood depts.

Go here often for their Philly Cheese Steaks. Always good. You can eat inside or our.

Ive been to many branches of Publix in FL before but this was by far the best... Every person working here was SO friendly. Sometimes, as a Black shopper, you get a lot of awkward silences or looks when you need help but here everyone was smiley and helpful. It was bizarre (in a great way)... Food selection was great. This place made me happy to have moved to Gainesville!

One open register... 6 self checkouts. So now were supposed to pay your high prices and ring up/bag the groceries? Youre practically Walmart now. What ever happened to service? Sad.

Excellent customer service by Jeffery at self-checkout. I used the self-checkout lane and Jeffery was genuinely friendly and proactive in offering assistance and help as needed. He gladly helped me void an item and place an item back on the shelf when I decided against buying it. I felt more welcome using the self-checkout lane with Jeffery at the helm than I did when going to most cashiers lanes. Great work! Great customer service!

Ive been shopping this market for 30+ years. The staff are always friendly, courteous and efficient. They practice safe social distancing and as of 10-31-2020 masks are required. Each shopping cart and basket is individually disinfected. Publix always has many buy one get one free deals which really add up to a lot of savings. Highly recommended.

I like this Publix, close to my job and most times I get good Publix made sandwiches here. My only problem is that those working in the Deli making sandwiches may need to be retrained on sanitation and food preparations. My sandwich was made on a dirty counter top that had ingredients left behind from the previous customers sandwich. Luckily I dont have any food allergies, otherwise, my food touched all the crumbs and oils left behind. Counter needs to be wiped off after every sandwich made and customers food need to be laid on the paper provided for sandwich preparations. Plus with COVID those extra precautions need to be taken into consideration.

I wish we had a Publix in NE Mississippi, where my other home is. Sadly our closest Publix in Westgate is closed to make way for a brand new one there, so we have to trek to the Millhopper location, and the parking there is awful.

Always clean and well stocked. Staff arent as friendly as they used to be but thats everywhere.

I am disappointed that the Publix Millhopper store does not enforce the mask requirement upon entering their store. Usually I try to go grocery shopping early in the day, but today, I was at Publix around 1:30 pm & I was surprised & disappointed in how many people entered the store without a mask. So I will go to Whole Foods & Trader Joe’s where mask wearing is enforced.The COVID is rampant everywhere, so everyone must take precautions to stay safe. When I mentioned the Millhopper Publix at a different store, they agreed, & said Whole Foods & Trader Joe’s were a safer place to shop.Com’on Publix, get with it to help keep everyone safe!

COVID-19 warning!!! Oh hiii! I used to work here so I know a lot of the employees... especially from the deli. But I’m here to give one star because this store is forcing employees to work who have been exposed to a patient with COVID-19. They are willing to put their employees at risk and every customer who walks in those doors. They are more worried about numbers than the health of their employees. One was allowed to self quarantine but the other 3 living with him are being forced to show up to work cuz Publix doesn’t want their deli to drop in sales. Publix is a cult and only cares about their money. If George Jenkins was still alive, he would be embarrassed as to where his company has went.

My favorite Publix!

I absolutely love this publix. This is my go to place to get cakes, i recently ordered a cake for a friend of mines baby shower i usually go in and order but called instead due to being on a time crunch. I order a quarter sheet marble cake with whipped icing, i wanted sunflowers and lady bugs. My exact words were tell the decorator to have fun with it. And boy didnt they, the cake looked amazing and tasted just as great. I love how they took my words and ran with it. I loved the customer service and quality of the product. Thank you publix for coming through yet again.

Love this publix. They have so many options and the staff is quite nice. Love shopping here, they really make it enjoyable!! The fresh baked breads are the best, and they have a really good seafood section as well. Always lots of sushi to choose from! We love how friendly the staff is

Just as any Publix in our town, the staff here are very courtious and polite. Very nice atmosphere. I had to do a late grocery run on a Wednesday night after work and they were still energetic and welcoming. I love shopping here.

I would normally give Publix 5 stars, but only 3 for this one. I had a checkout lady today with dark hair and brown eyes who was just glaring at me for no reason. I put my belongings on the conveyor and asked her How are you?I was completely ignored. Of course when the time came to pay up, she actually spoke and said the amount owed. After paying I took my reciept (with a continued glare). Only the bag lady said Have a nice day. Geez! Thanks Martha! I was having a good day, until I had to deal with you! This Publix is beautiful, and it sucks at the same time...such a snobby store! I guess the only good thing about a monopolizing grocery chain, is that you can pick which one in your city is most pleasant to shop at. This store should try to be more like The Exchange and Butler West (both much friendlier stores to shop at). I will try my best NOT to come back to this store.

Great location. The staff is mostly helpful all round. Produce and meat department are almost always on point. Lines are almost non-existent. Great deli and bakery is very good with selections.

This location is in keeping with the Publix tradition of excellence. Restrooms in rear of store near produce. If you have time check out Book Gallery West at the corner of the plaza. Its one of longest running independent bookstores remaining in Gainesville.
