The food is fresh, delicious and fast. Try the mint lemonade. The Turkish coffee is excellent as well as the Baklava. They are friendly and the place is very clean!

We stopped here on our way from Orlando to Destin. We are from Texas and have many many gyros options but this place was amazing!!! We tried kafta kabob rolls, chicken roll and regular gyros. Each and every item was delicious!! The portions were awesome too! The desert was on point as well👌 top it off the service was also perfect!!! Loved it and would highly recommend and will definitely visit again when back in Florida!!!!!

Not sure what happened to this location, as I have heard in the past it has been really good. Food was not great, some of which was not cooked while it was mixed with cooked food. Ceiling vents were caked with dust/mildew. We were basically the only folks there with a staff of three and every table was dirty. The staff just seemed to be gossiping in the kitchen. I hope they get it turned around.

Best Gyros ever, all of there food is very well done. They also have a small store in there with very competitive prices on feta, olive oil, lamb and goat for stews and alot of other really nice middle eastern ingredients. Highly recommend a visit. The owner is also there most of the time and takes great pride in his place and it shows.

I’ve been coming to falafel king since I was a kid and it’s always been one of my favorite restaurants in town. The food is always fresh and the customer service is wonderful. I really enjoy the small market section as well. It’s the best hummus you can get.

We stopped here on our way to Key West! Best experience ever. Very nice and clean place with the freshest ingredients. We got there at 8:05 and they close at 8. The woman working still said she will serve us and she cant have us leaving hungry. She made our food and we were back on the road. We got two chicken kebab wraps that were cooked to perfection. The chicken was so soft and tender. This lady has such a big heart to feed us even though they were closed. Other restaurants will refuse to serve. She made our day.

Fast casual middle eastern spot - the food here is so fresh, healthy, and delicious! I had the Mediterranean platter with hummus, baba ghanoush, grape leaves, tabouleh, and pita. Good portions and good prices. We also got the gyro wrap and meat pie wrap (not pictured). The food was amazingly delicious, price was right, the restaurant is clean and has a small area in the back to buy cheese, spices, and dry goods. The desserts are delicious. I highly recommend the pistachio baklava, but the kataifi was good too.

The food and service is always good. The falafel is never dry, their meat is tender, and the sauces complement the food nicely.

Depends on your portion size, but one of these is enough for at least two meals, maybe three? but I keep shoving food in my mouth anyway because its so delicious! This place is beyond amazing. The food here is heavenly. It is super easy to eat vegan or vegetarian, and you dont pay more or feel cheated; like many restaurants.I dont have a frame of reference for other restaurants in Gainesville, but this place is awesome. They also offer a small grocery area that offers some authentic foods, from canned, jarred, and dry goods.Cant speak for any of the animal products they serve, but if it is half as good as the Falafel, you wont be disappointed.The people here and the workers are super chill and really cool. Relaxed atmosphere, chill vibes, and food that is actually good for you and feeds the soul.This is the kinda food you eat after alignment of the chakras. It feel good food that is good for you and is fairly priced.Dont hesitate to come in. If you do you will be doing yourself a disservice.Do yourself a favor, and eat this food. You cant go wrong here!

I will never go back here again. I went there and got the falafel wrap combo and added humus. The falafel were not good at all. I have had some really good falafel in town and have even made my own. This was gross. I bite into it and it was not good. I opened the wrap and the tomatoes on it looked really bad. The only thing that was good with my meal was the canned soda. Never again waste of my money and time.

I almost tried everything since I go frequently to this place, and I just love it! They have chicken, meat, and veggie meals! And there is a mini grocery inside where some stuff are being made fresh and by the onwer! Highly recommend!!

Food was far from amazing. Old pitas and the meat for the kabab wrap is not cut fresh, but warmed up in the microwave. Falafel wrap was yummy though

Food was not good. I ordered a chicken platter and a kofte platter, Baklava, Baba ghanoush and two falafel - I did not receive any of the sides. Food was dry and just covered in tahini, looked like a tahini soup.When inside the restaurant all I heard was microwaves opening and closing to heat up the food which was still cold. The presentation looked good though.I never review establishments but you’re better off making it your self, although it was cheap. I also believe a majority of the reviews aren’t real/bought due to the quality of the food.

This is THE BEST restaurant I’ve ever been to I’m not kidding. It is small but very homey I have gone there ever sense I was born I always have the chicken platter and cheese pie. The gyro is also AMAZING as well I have never gone to a restaurant with such a nice person running it Mr. Jason is and amazing person and you should be glad if you ever went to his restaurant.

I was really looking forward to having Mediterranean food, but was unsatisfied with the food from this restaurant. The grape leaves were great but the gyro platter was too salty. I couldn’t finish my meal. Also, the menu said a platter comes with a drink and your choice of baklava...I got neither.

The lady at the register was excellent, she helped us explaining the different choices. The food is very good and tasty!

I love this place so much. The gyros are amazing, and they actually come out super fast and fresh. I love how small and homey this place is . My girlfriend and I love coming here and they have vegan options for her too that are great. Definitely a million times better than pita pit which after eating their gyros I had a bad stomach ache. Pls come here if you want good food and service.

This is a small local shop that serves Lebanese food. We ordered two gyro platters that come with a drink and choice of traditional baklava or cashew baklava. We chose traditional, which was very good. We also had a falafel platter which was pretty awesome as well. The staff is extremely friendly and you can eat in or get food to go. In the back of the restaurant they have a small grocery section with cookies, Turkish tea, dates, spices, extra virgin olive oil and many other foods from Lebanon. They have prepared foods as well. This place does not disappointment.

Pretty darn good. This is in our semi-regular rotation of places we eat. We really like it but its a little bit of a trek over to Archer for us. The food is good and the quality is consistent. For everyone Ive ever seen on their staff, English is not their first language, so communicating and really understanding the menu, etc. can be a little tricky to maneuver.

After patronizing this establishment on many occasions over the years, Im sad to say that yesterday the twenty-seventh of May 2020 will be my last day of using their food services.During this devastating period in our lives as Americans, our country which I served as a veteran for twelve years; has now lost 100,000 fellow Americans to the COVID-19 virus. When I entered Falafel King yesterday I met a young man who also was wearing a mask and we talked about the importance of caring for each other. And he was trying to do his part by wearing a mask. I was left with a very good feeling that shattered the images seen so much today of people spewing hatred and caring only about their personal freedoms. Rather then putting some thought into social responsibility towards others.My good feelings were quickly shattered when I saw the two employees who were preparing the food, ringing up the charges and placing the packages food into the hands of customers, not wearing masks. When I asked the youngest of the employees why masks were not being worn her response was were not required to, but we can deliver your food outside at the curb. When I asked her if she would be wearing a mask at that time, her answer was no, we dont have to. It was at this time I informed her that I really enjoyed their food but could no longer be their customer, she just smiled.Three things were conveyed to me at this moment. This employee showed little value towards anyone else. Second, Falafel King cared nothing about the safety of their customers. Third, although studies seem to show that the risk is low when preparing food. The risk for the virus is still there. And it is certainly there when packaging and handing the package to the customer.So, in closing I have to ask is the Alachua County Department of Health and the State showing a lack of concern as well?

Maybe I went on an off day, but I was not impressed.I ordered several different types of dessert; they all tasted stale and had the taste of old gyro meat (the whole restaurant smelled like gyro meat).The baba ghanoush wrap also tasted super sour. I’m Asian, and I eat sour food all the time. But this type of sour made me worried I’d be up all night throwing up (thankfully I didn’t).Overall, I would recommend any other Mediterranean restaurant in Gainesville, like Sababa, over this one. I rarely give 1/5 star reviews, but this is one of them.

Food is ok but definitely had better. The staff is nice and the free water was actually really tasty. I decided to stop here while visiting in town and the first visit I have to say it was good but the second time I realized the food isnt that great. The only thing I love and the reason for the 3 star is the hummus and baklava!!!!!! Those 2 things alone are the only reason Id come back

I liked it. A welcome addition to the various choices in the galaxy of restaurant possibilities. My only complaint, which is not isolated or specific to regional cuisine of this type, is that it is almost invariably overpriced due to the very fact that they are unusual when compared to the other restaurant choices in the area. None the less, this is a good choice with very tasty middle eastern food that makes it worth the dining experience. Recommended.

I struggled to find good shawarma throughout the places I go. This place has the best. Other gyros are similar but nowhere near as good. I will definitely be going here all the time. I also enjoyed the beautiful pictures of Lebanon on the walls.

The food is tasty, has been every time I go. Thats nice.But ... I get the feeling they changed management. My order was prepared at their leisure -- a customer who came in after me got his order, then an employee took some personal time, then they finally got around to preparing my order which took only 3 minutes to do, by that time I waited almost 30 minutes.

Good place to eat and relax

I love going to Falafel King. Ive gone there since 2004 minus 8 years when I lived in Chicago. The quality is always high. The food tastes great, and never takes more than 15 min to be ready. Definitely worth it.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I have been going here since i was a kid. I go here minimum once a month. My wife and I get the same thing every time and it comes out of the kitchen the same way every time. I recommend the Gyro Platter.

Great food, prepared very well. As vegetarians we tried the falafel platter, wrap, and a lentil pie. All were excellent. Hummus is lemony and fresh, also super yummy. Service was also excellent. Well be back, and if you come try it, so will you.

As someone from the ME. I can say, your Gyro is good but can be better! The pita bread has to be hot and toasted. The Tahina tastes amazing! Dont use a microwave please since its reduces the quality of the food. The pie also tastes amazing! But also it has to be coming from the over and never microwaved! Please check a picture of an oven that is cheap and small, and would be very helpful!

I ordered the lamb gyro, and it was a big gyro! I was happy about that, and for a good price too. The lamb was kinda dry but I have a feeling most lamb is. All on all a great stop, will be back

The falafel platter was a little overpriced. I was able to get the same amount of food and save $3-$4 by buying the falafel, tabbouleh, etc as side items and combining them myself

Falafel was incredibly dry. However their hummus and homemade baklava is quite delicious.

I love the food here. I always get the either the chicken or falafel wrap. The owners always use fresh ingredients and take so much care to make sure that your food is delicious and your order is correct. They are so sweet and provide great service.

Food was cold when I arrived 8min after ordering it. Asked for no pickles on my pita wrap & I still tasted the pickle. (Pickle doesnt go well with Falafels or Tahini) 2nd time going there, never again. NOT authentic AF.
