I wanted to give them a chance, but I dont know how this place stays in business. I called to get a price on a Hustler mower, for which theyre a dealer. They said I had to pay full MSRP because they didnt have one in stock (they didnt have ANY Hustler in stock), which is almost $2k more than other dealers in the immediate area. Basically I was absorbing all the dealership costs of ordering what should be a stock mower. Ill take my business elsewhere. BTW, I agree with nearly all the other comments about this business, those people are regularly mean to their customers.
Excellent service. Needed my tires changed to different wheels and they did it for a reasonable price and in a timely fashion
Well I see I’m not the only one who feels customer service is horrible here
I dropped off my lawn mower at Outdoor Power Depot and requested an estimate for repair. I paid them $25 for the estimate which would be applied to the repair cost as a credit if I approved the work. I was told when I dropped the lawn mower off that it would be one week before they could give me an estimate. 2 weeks later they still had not called me with an estimate. I then called them and they told me that my mower was next in line. (Wow! What a coincidence!) They did not apologize for the delay. I then waited another 2 weeks and heard nothing from them during that time. At that point I decided to give up. I went to pick up my lawn mower and when I arrived the counter person was sitting around doing nothing. The owner was walking around doing nothing, also. There was no sign of anyone doing any work. I asked for my lawn mower back and they promptly returned my mower. They did not apologize for not providing an estimate even though they had the mower for nearly 1 month. The only good thing I can say about the place is that they did return my $25. It appears that this company is lacking a repair technician and they were not willing to admit this, let alone apologize for wasting my time.
Employee was extremely rude over the phone. Gave him the part nunber multiple times and told him the part i needed. Told me the part doesnt exist and acted extremely condescending. Found the exact part i asked for on the manufacturer website 30 seconds after i got off the phone with him. Not sure how they are still in business
DO NOT GO HERE!!! I happened to be in town and needed a part for my Honda mower. The man behind the counter, who I think is the owner, was extremely rude to me. It seemed like I was disturbing him. Guess he does not think customers that want to spend money at his business are important.I ended up going back to King George and calling Gateway to see if they had what I need. Not only did they have it, I was able to pay for it over the phone, & they placed the part in an area to where I could get it after they closed. I know when I am looking for another Honda, ill definitely be going to Gateway.
Some may question my review, as I did not actually do any transaction; however, the experience confirms many of the other poor reviews. Im a do-it-yourselfer, as not everyone has all the money to afford new equipment when it fails; I went in to get a part for my lawn mower, where I was rudely verbally assaulted because I failed to have the model or part number. All I wanted was a walking mower blade adapter for 7/8 shaft; Im pretty sure this is somewhat common, but I was informed nothing is common, and they continued stating that they dont need business from my type. I was courteous throughout, but as noted by others, I was constantly interrupted and asked to leave. I realize local small business are being over run by online, so I try to buy local, but it appears this one store feels they are well off enough without having to handle all customers.
Yep, sure enough... I went there despite all the reviews because it is the only place nearby where I live. When I went there there was no one in the building except two guys talking behind the counter. I asked him if he could help me out with my leaf blower. He asked me what the make was, and I said Efco, and he said Nope. That was it.I asked him if he could at least look at it and tell me if I was on the right track with what was wrong. He said Nope. These people have no interest in customers. Not sure why they have a business open. Not sure how they stay in business. Not sure how they make it through each day without bumping their heads into a carburetor.
Took my chainsaw there, here is my saw, I need points and plugs, air filter. They sold me all the wrong parts for the saw they had in there hands. When I tried to tune up the saw and discovered that none of the parts were for the saw I tried to return the parts. That is when they told me about their no returns policy. THIEVES. Please be aware if you ever, it is your own fault. You were warned
Read the reviews, all of us arent wrong. He even installed my battery backwards. TOTAL RIP OFF, pontoon boat there for 3 weeks. Claim they did work, (that I didnt ask for) and needed SPECIAL tools that they didnt have. A job that should have been less than $400.00 cost me $606.00 totally a scam place. Whatever you need, go somewhere else.
Horrible service. Extremely rude employees. I highly recommend shopping ANYWHERE else but here.
Bad attitudes, and indifferent or incompetent parts knowledge. I thought they were the only place I could go to get husquvarna parts, found Dickinsons not too much further away who are VERY friendly and VERY helpful and capable.
I cant begin to tell you how bad this place is. If you read this review and still choose to give them your business then either you cant read or you are an idiot but either way youll get what you asked for. I wouldnt give these idiots a penny. Worst customer service I have EVER seen. They are NOT an authorized Lund dealer. I wouldnt let them touch my Lund or my Honda outboard motor. Take my advice and stay away from these morons.
I worked with Ken and Outdoor Power Depot on the repair of a Husqvarna push mower. Ken was professional and the lead time and pricing were in line with other local repair shops. Would do business here again.
The WORST customer experience I have ever had in my life, after spending 500 dollars in repair work,I was toldwhat time it was,the accident I was innever happened..While 2 employees hung their head in DISBELIEF,THE OWNER who is without a doubt as unstable as they come, commensed to telling meIf I ever step foot on that property again I would be arrested.ALL I was there to do...was pay a bill and pick up a mower ! The most surreal experience of my life ! NEVER,EVER,do business there!!!!
Asian lady was very rude when I called to ask how to put on a click on attachment she told me I had to pay 25$ for them to show me worst service ever never go here they are a husqvarna dealer but sale Honda if you want good service go to altavista appliance or Amherst lawn and garden people here are very friendly and helpful
Bad customer service! Guy that works front counter was short with me. Acted like I was bothering him with my purchase . Also treated the Asian lady like she was inferior. She was the only one that was doing there job with a smile . She is the only reason I will go back to that run down place.
There tater tots suck dont go there
Very rude employees. Guy behind the counter swore at a customer on the phone. The shop smells like an ash tray.
Lady very rude over the phone. Ill go somewhere else.
I had zero issues getting the parts ordered for my Honda lawn mower. Will do business again thanks
Stayed open late for me even though I only needed a $6 part for my leaf blower.
Rude staff
