Though I am not new to diesel tractors, I am a rookie when it comes to front end loaders, PTO tillers and a backhoe! Thus, when I purchased my Kubota BX23s this fall, I had alot to learn.The help, patience, and professionalism I received at Dickinson was a great surprise and an enjoyable experience. Todd Dawson seemed to be at my beck and call for any questions about our transaction and any technical issues that I had a concern about, including asking him to take measurements of the tractor that I couldnt find elsewhere.Jonathan and company were on the ball when I showed up with a trailer that was not what I had intended to use that day, but he and his crew had my tractor up and secured in no time.Overall, I had an insanely positive time dealing with Dickinson, and though I live in Tennessee, any problems I have, I will reach out to Dickinson and Todd Dawson first.Thanks to all of you.

This review is a little over due. I was a long time customer of John Deere and when it was time to replace my equipment I became frustrated as a customer over the pricing gouging at their dealers. I was even more frustrated by the arrogance of the salesman that said “if you don’t like the price someone will come in right behind you and pay it”. I began to look around. A friend recommended Kubota. I had dealt with the Kubota dealer out in Orange before when buying a four wheeler so I started there. They did a great job of getting me a fair price on a new tractor but would need some time to get the unit in due to COVID challenges. I happened to be in the area of Dickinson Equipment the next day and stopped in as they were closing up for the day. I was surprised to see that they had the tractor I wanted as it had just came in. Drew the salesman met me out near the tractor and I began discussing my interest in the tractor and that I was working with the store in Orange. To make a long story short. They gave me a better price than I could find anywhere and delivered it to my home the next day. Since that time from Sales to Service all the members of that Team are committed to taking care of the customer and make sure you are satisfied before you leave. There are a lot of places to buy tractors and equipment in the area. You will regret not taking time to meet with Robbie or Drew at Dickinson before making a decision to buy. Few dealers would have reopened their store after hours to sell me a tractor at such a great price. Thank you Robbie and Drew for all your support before, during and after the sale!!

Our visit was amazing and definitely glad we ended up coming to Dickinsons. We initially contacted a sales rep at Greenline John Deere the night before about a used tractor they had online and confirmed it was still available. We arrived there the next morning, ready to buy it and it was out on demo. We were slightly upset about the situation, but not discouraged. We began to ask about their other used and new machines and the sales rep seemed distracted and was not at all interested in selling us a tractor. We departed Greenline and immediately went up the street to Dickinsons. An hour later we left Dickinsons as owners of a L3301. Id rather drive hours away than to do business with Greenline after that experience, but found great customer service by another local business, plus they gave my wife and I awesome hats! The customer service at Dickinsons was amazing throughout the purchase process and cannot wait to update this review with the walk-through they provide when you pick up the equipment.

This place has gone down hill over the past 2 years. Service is bad, the owner has had many years experience at telling you why YOU are wrong and YOU need to pay the bill even when youve spent over $1,000.00 and still have the same problem when you brought your piece of equipment in. The mechanics are untrained and the owners are just out to get your money. The girl sin the front do the best they can and try hard to help but the powers that drive the business have their foot to the floor on a downhill, over the cliff direction.

Great place to buy new or used tractors. They however cannot provide much support for older tractors. Like most dealers they always ask for part numbers or serial numbers which makes for a difficult time when trying to find parts that lack those numbers from use or missing tags.

Friend recommended this place and I went and bought an ECHO PB-8010T backpack blower. Product is amazing. Service was phenomenal! They were quick to greet and help with everything. Small-town-type service in a semi-urban area. Definitely recommend!!!

I was having trouble finding a hydraulic pump filter for my mower today and these guys had one that worked, I had stopped by other local stores (Mortons) and the other stores wouldnt even begin to try to help me find something that would work. With this said my busy today was small potatoes but just because Dickinsons was willing to help me and the staff knows what there talking about il be a return customer, when ever I need parts or decide to buy a new piece of equipment Dickinson equipment will be my first choice.

I needed a part for the carburetor on my snow blower. They had what I needed in stock at a good price.

I don’t need a tractor, but over 12 years living here, I’ve bought a lawnmower, a leaf blower, a gas, then a battery powered trimmer, and a backup generator. The equipment rarely needs work, although I don’t always take the best care of it. Sometimes ethanol fuel sits in something for six months. When necessary, they always fix what’s broken, for incredibly low prices.

Top notch place nice and clean, nice individuals who are very knowledgeable . Tons of equipment, wouldn’t buy a lawnmower from ANYWHERE else. Hands down.. in and out one of my best interactions in a store I’ve had in a long time.

Contacted them by email for a quote on a zero turn 2 days ago. Still waiting to hear back. Dont have an email contact if your not going to check it and get back to people in a reasonable amount of time or post your prices on the site. I bought my last mower here and had a good experience but thinking about going elsewhere this time if this is what I can expect. Im not going out of my way to give you my business. It should be the other way around. Unfortunately, this is all too common with businesses these days. UPDATE - Its Saturday and after 2 emails and 4 days of waiting still no response. Going elsewhere for my purchase.

The worst employees I’ve ever met. Outside of work at a local food lion they verbally abused 2 cashiers and managers about the shelves being empty. They have no concept of how it’s the holiday season or that covid is a thing. They harassed two cashiers for about 5 minutes and watching it was horrific. I wish I would’ve taken a video because if someone ever did that to my children I would be livid. Would give a 0/5 stars if I could

Great customer service with a large inventory of machines and products with great prices.

Had the parts I needed in stock - my local dealer didnt. Quite a ways to go but needed repair part right away. Had to stand around & wait for about 10 mins before anyone even acknowledged I was there, then 3 people jumped in to help. Was about 40% cost of my local dealer - thats always a good thing!

Bought a Cub Cadet zero turn a few years ago from Dickinson. Have had my winter service done a couple of times since among visits for getting maintenance parts. I’ve never had an issue or complaint. Today I visited as I am in the market for both a tractor and utv. After 30 minutes I left as nobody said anything to neither my wife nor I. They were busy but nobody from sales came through and nobody else in the store asked if we needed help or what we were there for. Needless to say we left disappointed in the zero contact and will not buy these items here. We came here because of our past experience and are taking these items to southwest VA. Now we will just purchase closer to there.

I have to send a huge shout out to Dickinsons! We are new to the area and new to ride along mowing (moved from a townhouse to 3.3 acres of land). We didnt buy our Cub Cadet from Dickinsons but now I wish we had! When we bought our mower, we got a 5 minute quick overview when it was delivered from where we purchased it from and have struggled since. We thought we had an issue with the battery and eventually replaced that, and then we still had intermittent luck getting the mower started on a weekly basis. I called Dickinsons and the next day, Pat came out to our rescue. He showed me how to start it properly and what we were doing that was preventing it from starting. This past week we ran into issues again and I called Dickinsons again. Pat came out the next business day and asked me to show him how we were trying to start the mower. Again it was our error on how we were starting it (not putting the throttle all the way up to the choke position). Pat was very professional, patient and explained a lot more about how the mower works. Dickinsons has been very fast to assist us each time we called, very professional and great to work with. We look forward to working with them in the future!

I shopped around for about 4 months for a good zero turn mower from a reputable provider. I spent a LOT of time deep diving the web, hitting multiple shops multiple times and finally chose Dickinson and the Cub Cadet zero turn ultima ZT2 60. You can buy this multiple places but for me Dickinson was a no brainer. They put together and very detail quality check before delivery (many had problems with less than quality final check - and fixes took forever because they farmed the work out) They personally deliver (again, dont feed out) AND most importantly to me, if there are any issues they do their own in-house repair - others farm out. All the folks working there are friendly and very knowledgeable. While they are all good, I worked mostly with and would personally recommend Drew. He was attentive and very patient with all my many annoying questions. I am very happy with the equipment and would recommend them to all. Happy hunting!

I took my mower there to get the blades sharpened; however, I did not utilize them because they advised me it would be days until they got around to it, but if I was to remove the blades and leave them, itll take roughly 24 hours. I didnt want to wait days nor take the mower back home to remove the blades only to bring them back, so I went elsewhere. Im glad I went elsewhere because the other place was prepared to do it that day.

I found that Dickinson Equipment exceeds expectations in customer service. They are also a premier model of a great small business. My favorite thing about Dickinsons is their post Thanksgiving annual care. They pickup all power tools for cleaning, tuning, sharpening, etc. in annual maintenance. Love this place!

Excellent customer service. Brought in a starter that the retaining clip for the return spring had broken off and the spring was gone. Was willing to buy a new gear to get the parts but they fixed it at no charge. Will be visiting them for any future repairs!

Five years ago I was having issues with a line trimmer that I had purchased from a big box store that loves the color orange. The trimmer was exactly one month out of warranty and the cost of repair was going to be close to 3/4 of what I paid for the unit. I decided I was done with disposable lawn and garden equipment. I was going to buy things that were built to work hard and be dependable. Occasional service yes, total overhaul after one year no. I found Dickinson Equipment to be reasonably priced and extremely knowledgeable. Not the cheapest but you can be assured that what you are buying is going to be around for more than a season or two. Ever since then, I have purchased a line trimmer, a backpack blower, a lawn tractor and a snow blower. Each time I was in the market for something they took time to discuss my situation and determine the best solution to fit my needs. I recommend them highly.

They can order what i need. But never seem to have any of my parts in stock. But i do have an older craftsman riding mower.

I cant say enough about Dickinson and how they treat their customers. I had an issue with my 6 month old Kubota Tractor this past weekend and I took it in first thing this morning. Turned out to be a fuel issue which normally wouldnt be covered under warranty, but they fixed it in just a couple hours, topped off all the fluids, and didnt charge me a dime. That small gesture will keep me a customer of theirs for years to come. They may be a small dealer and not have all the flashy stuff the big boys do, but they stand behind their products and take care of their customers. Thats what its all about. They also called me back multiple times to let me know the progress even though it was just a quick fix. That never happens these days. Thanks Guys!

Dont ever order parts from them. They promise a certain day and if you call that day to see if your part is in and then call again the next day to check, you will get treated rudely by the female that answers the phone, she yelled at my husband to stop calling that they will call when the part comes in. They promised it 4 days from the date we ordered. The part depended on my husband working and providing for his family and they could careless. Needless to say we ordered it from Amazon and got it in two days, still got it before they called to say the part was in. Needless to say we didnt go pick it up.

Great business. I bought a scag here. This place has been working on my equipment for years and never up sold me on anything. The number one reason I made this review - I have a 61 in Scag V Ride. I recently had one pump and wheel motor replaced- $1,200. A few weeks later the other one gave out. Hours on Machine 1,500. I took it there willing ready to pay $1,200. Well the mechanic called me and fixed pump with out needed to put the new wheel motor and pump on. I was extremely surprised and happy to know they weren’t willing to rip me off. Great place to get mower stuff

The parts people have no knowledge or work ethic to find the right parts for you. I brought in a walbro LMK carburetor from a Kohler motor. According to them that carburetor doesnt exist but yet I was able to find what I needed online. This aint the first time Ive had issues like this before. It just sucks we dont have any descent small engine parts places around here like we use too.

Dickinsons Far Exceeded our expectations!! We arent local but go out of our way to come here every time because their deals and customer service cannot be beat!Customer Service:We are very picky and frugal with what we buy and who we buy it with. We had been to the local (Manassas) stores and were talked down to (we are in our late 20s/early 30s) and given outrageous prices. Not at Dickinsons though! I used to live in Fredericksburg and had heard great things about this family owned store, so desperate, we hauled our two young kids for a trip down south. Robbie greeted us right away and spent hours with us answering every question we had (...and was awesome/patient with out 2 kids under 2!)Costs:The best thing I loved is that all the prices are right on the equipment so you get the price everyone else does, not the price they think they can get out of you. We were stuck between 2 different zero turn mowers and he actually talked us in to the cheaper mower, saying it was more what we needed for our situation. (Note that it was about $500 less than the cheapest quote we received.) Not only that, but our mower was delivered for FREE in a few days (to Manassas!) and the driver took about an hour going over everything once again to make sure we understood. We did have an issue with our mower alignment and called Robbie. He walked us through what to adjust and said if it didnt work to give him a call back. Well, life got busy and it was several days/weeks until we got back with Robbie so he called to check on us! We couldnt get the mower adjusted so Robbie had the mower picked back up, brought to the shop, properly aligned again, and dropped off...FOR FREE! They really stand behind their stuff! Since then its been perfect.Six months later, we needed a tractor and knew just where to go...We took another 2 hour round trip back to Fredericksburg to meet with Robbie. Even though we trusted him, we still did our homework and got some other quotes. Our Kubota Tractor came in thousands less than what we were quoted elsewhere.Thank you Dickinsons! Youve made life long customers!
