We had 17 bears stuffed today complete with outfits, vest and accessories. The staff did an amazing job making us feel we were the only customers in the store even with other customers having bears stuffed. The girls had a great time. Thank you all for making our Troop Trip to Build a Bear such a great success. I have sent a message to corporate about our amazing experience. Thank you again.

The women that helped me were kind and patient. Only my second time building bears, but always have a wonderful experience.

My husband and I went to our local Build a Bear at the Spotsylvania Mall and were a little older than most visitors but it was such a wonderful time. We decided to go for The Birthday Bear and of course I bought a Bear and dressed her and we got the free bear for a promotion they were running. We both thought that with the promotion that they were having the place would be very busy, to our surprise it wasnt very busy and they had plenty of employees. Basically I had a wonderful time and got a new bear.

A fun experience for children or adults. Extras like heartbeats, scents and accessories for your new stuffed animal can add up quickly. Worth the money for the end product.

We were extremely disappointed with this Build a Bear. I’ve been to Build a Bear many times at several different locations and have seen the way the experience is supposed to go. That’s what Build. Bear is about... the experience. I’m referring mainly to how engaging the employee who stuffs the bear is. Typically the heart ceremony in which they usually have the child perform what I can imagine is a scripted routine which involves “blessing” the heart. If you’ve been to BAB you know what I’m talking about. My son is 3.5 and speech delayed. We have been waiting specifically until he was mature enough to understand the whole experience. We finally decided that he was ready and both himself and I were very excited for him to enjoy his first BAB trip. We went into the store and he decided on a dog. We went to the stuffing machine and he helped stuff the dog. Then it came time for the heart ceremony. The employee had the most dull tone in her voice and none of the typical excitement that you should see from the person performing this part. The only parts that she had him do were to warm up the heart and give it a kiss and hug. Literally none of the rest. My son would have enjoyed this part the most. She stiched up the dog and then we were on our own. Luckily having been to BAB in the past I knew about the “cleaning station” and did that part with my son myself. We then roamed around picking out an outfit, again with no interaction from any of the employees that were in the store. Not even to make sure we understood the process. I am very upset that this experience we had waited so long for was just not there at all.

The staff in the store are perfect. Great experience for me and my husband. We built that bear together we even recorded our personal messages on a device that goes inside the bear. Perfect

This was the worst visit to build a bear ever! Clerks were rude and treated my granddaughter like she was a problem. SHES 3 years old and was waiting patiently.. my husband was ignored when he said he wanted to add recording to her bunny. We got home and the birth certificate was ripped in the box and the bunny has a hole in the neck! Wont go there again.. 🙁

This place is great, the kids get to participate in the creation of their stuffed buddy. The staff here is so nice and so fun! Angela and Rachael are the best!

This used to be a super cool place. Now so many things have changed the past 15 years, its not the same. Many years ago my children could stuff the bear themselves. Nowadays my grandchild didnt get to stuff the bear, she had to stand and watch the employee use the machine to stuff the bear...NO FUN....hello.

Not a bad experience for kids. Be prepared to walk out spending over $60 on a bear though lol.

1 quick stop on our way home from NC for a birthday bear for our almost birthday boy, this was in Fredericksburg VA at 9:15 at night, if anyone knows the lady that worked last night sept 24th 2018 tell her she was AWESOME at her job! She added the greatness to a great night for my little guy! (I just think Build-A-Bear should know!)

I love this store! All employees is nice and friendly.

Been at work all day ...didnt want to wait in line for hours to get my daughter a stuffed doll and pay her ..decided to walk in with full intent of paying full price as she agreed to use her own money ...picked it out the lady stuffed it went to pay and was told because she didnt get a sticker with her age we could not buy it ...again agreeing to pay full price they said it wouldnt be fair to the hundreds of people who waited in line for hours ...so I dropped it and walked out!We Will not return ..

1 star because we went to the pay your age day and the line were extremly long. The bears at the place were like around 25$ a bear. So we wanted to get bears for me and my sister but the line were outside. Build a bear workshop should not do it in one day. In my opinon you should call and scheldule a time to go so the line wont be all the way outside. Very disapointing to me and all the people that did not get one

I ended up getting toothless and the light fury.... I was slightly disappointed that the worker didnt give me the same treatment as she does the kids when making my toys.

Staff friendly, store clean, lots of cool clothes to choose from

I like anything for the kids but up to $100+ bucks for a stuffed bear, this is where I draw the line.
