Ended up purchasing four dining chairs from this location. Right before I made my transaction, there was a power outage that caused the register to shut down. At that moment an employee walked up, stuck her arm out and pointed in my face and loudly exclaimed NO CHAIRS FOR YOU!!!! I was very taken aback at this gesture. Not only is pointing in someones face very rude, but it was said very aggressively and in front of the rest of the people in the store which made me uncomfortable and came across as disrespectful. We are satisfied with our chairs, and the other employees and manager were professional. However, due to this experience we will not return to this location.

I called and it keep taking be back to the main menu. It did it to me 3 times, I have no desire to even go look at their furniture. If you can’t even get to customer service, not a place I want to buy from!!!!

We had a great experience ordering our new sofa and chair and a half through Bassett thanks to Sara Hassan. We are newlyweds with little experience furniture shopping. Sara was helpful, but not at all pushy like other furniture stores we have visited. I like that our Alexander set is made in the USA and nearby in North Carolina. My older brother has been purchasing from Bassett for his home and office for many years and the furniture is quality that lasts. We originally did not look at Bassett because of the known price associated with the store, but after furniture shopping at other stores the quality difference was obvious. Trust me when I say the cost is worth it. You can feel the difference after sitting down. I will update once we receive the set and post a photo. My favorite furniture store! Took advantage of their design services and remodeled an office and dining room. The prices are a bit high, but with their sales and 0% financing, it equals out. The attention to detail and customer first policy, means i will be a lifelong customer!

Recently purchased our third piece of furniture from Bassett Furniture in the Central Park Shopping Center in Fredericksburg, Va. We returned knowing that the furniture was durable, made of quality materials and made in Virginia. We opted to customize this time and was led through the process by Wendy. She had a wonderful demeanor and excelled at explaining the details of the customization, the benefits of each feature and some design best practices. Most importantly, Wendy gained our trust by providing informed opinions and relating to our needs. This was a large purchase for our family and we definitely made the right choice. Thank you and we will definitely be back!

We bought a living room set consisting of a sofa, two chairs, and two coffee tables last year. We have a large family and a lot of pets. We bought the Guardsmen Gold protection plan and were assured that it would cover ANY and ALL damages to the furniture. We submitted a claim earlier in December and the protection plan literally covered nothing. We will not be going to Bassett again and I highly recommend shopping elsewhere.

The sales staff are wonderful and kind and helpful. They were so patient with our child and made our purchase and pickup easy. Very knowledgeable and helpful and great quality!

On 02/23/2020, we purchased cocktail and end tables from Bassett. As the salesperson entered the order into the computer system, she encountered an issue. She asked the store manager to take a look. I was unable to hear what was being said as they discussed the issue amongst themselves. As the manger walked away, he said aloud, we have plenty in stock. He even jokingly said unless you want to buy 56 of them. As I left the store I was told that the items would be in within the next 10 days. On 02/27/20, we received a text message from our salesperson Greta saying that the furniture is due in on 04/07/20. I said this must be a mistake. Perhaps, she means March 7 and not April 7. I sent her a text to verify. Nope, she said it’s April 7. I’m disappointed for three reasons: first, we are returning customers and the overall total spent after this purchase is over $10K within the last year. Secondly, deception. Its obvious that the furniture was never in stock when we placed the order and thirdly, Greta texted me instead of calling. OMG, mind blowing. Where is the professionalism in this story? We are extremely disappointed Bassett.

Nice merchandise and exceptional service but a little pricey, suggest waiting on sales before purchasing.

I ordered a few pieces of furniture online and it went smoothly. I got the confirmation email. This basset was the closet to my location therefore it became the one that was to communicate with me. I had recently moved into a house (hence the reason for new furniture) my billing address had not yet changed, but for my shipping address I typed in my new house. I got a phone call the next day where they wanted to confirm the shipping address since it was different from the billing. (Makes sense and was great) I was told it would be delivered at the end of the month and they would contact me when it came into the store. 3 weeks go by and I get a phone call from the store. The same lady is again confirming the address, but this time she says my billing address. I correct her and it turns out someone changed my shipping address to the billing address which means the furniture was delivered to a different warehouse. I am told it will take another couple of weeks now to get it sent over to the correct store (their mistake) they do however make up for it by giving me free shipping. 2 weeks go by and I get another call. The furniture is now at the correct store and will be delivered the following week. She reads off the order and forgets to say a piece of furniture. I correct her and she replies “oh yes of course”. Ok cool so my furniture is coming next week. The hubs takes off so that he can be there for the delivery. Delivery comes and what’s missing from the delivery? The same piece of furniture I had to correct the lady of on the phone. (Not sure if she just blew it off when I corrected her or what, but it was still missing) she then says they will need to start the order process all over and it will be another 3 weeks to a month. We are furious because at this point we are living out of boxes because we need the furniture to put the things in. We have to speak to the manager and he does make up for it by giving us a discount. We accept because what else do you do. A few weeks later and we get the phone call for the delivery the following week. My hubs takes off work again to be home for the delivery. We get the missing piece and it turns out it doesn’t work property. Good gravy this is frustrating. They do offer to correct it once again and now I’m hoping the end of this journey is here. HallelujahSo long story short, the furniture is great quality, but I think the employees need better training (or need to care more about the customer) and they do make up for their mistakes if you are willing to wait it out.

What a great buying experience! Sara Hassan has an eye for decor and is awesome to work with. She spent a lot of time working with me on furniture choices and fabrics. She knows proportions and color combinations and furniture construction. She is perfect for Bassett Furniture. Additionally, the moving guys they hired were spot on perfect. Darnell and his partner were punctual, professional, courteous and nice. They were extremely careful moving my sectional into the house. They had it set up in minutes. I am very happy with my buying experience at Bassett of Fredericksburg.

Ive bought quite a bit of furniture from this location--I keep coming back. I trust the people who work there. I like the salespeoples dedication to detail and follow-up; the delivery guys were very careful with my $6,500 leather couch on a tight curve; and I love the quality of the merchandise. Martha was my saleslady and she is awesome! Shes so very, very courteous and customer-service oriented! I know that if I have a problem, shes on it!

Great showroom, no pressing sales people like other stores. George M. was very helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend speaking with him.

Well. .the first review i submitted was deleted by the manager. So here we go again. I witnessed a group of individuals with special needs enter the store as i was about to leave. The group was approached by an older lady who was working. She asked if the group needed help. The staff reponded and stated that they just came in to browse and see the sets on display. The older lady stated that if they were not there to buy anything, there was no need to browse and this isnt a place for you to babysit these childern. The staff responded with these are not childern they are adults and want to browse the store. The lady responded with this isnt a place you babysit these ADULTS!. The staff responded and stated that they were disappointed in the customer service and rudeness they had recieved and then left the store. I was in shock as to what i had witnessed. Discrimination is not toloreted and is being investigated accordingly. This had also been forwarded to corperate just incase the manager feels the need to remove this review again. I encourage everyone reading this to copy and paste this and post it EVERYWHERE. I have so everyone knows about this horrible incident. So try and remove this again, makes no difference. ADA has been notified and action will be taken. Nice try though.

Totally love my sofa Carol was such a big help picking fabrics and a pleasure to work with. It arrived a week and half early. The staff was wonderful I totally recommend Bassett Furniture in Fredericksburg Va and ask for Carol you wont regret it.

Great furniture. Most of the sales people are welcoming and not pushy. We were not overall satisfied with our salesman. I do recommend their furniture. It is all American made.

Very quality furnishings and educated sales personnel. George helped us and was excellent. It had a large assortment of sofas and sectionals among other furnishings.

What an amazing staff. They treated us and out children wonderfully.

All of the upholstery ( fabric items) are made in the United States. We have some products from China an Vietnam. As an employee working for Bassett I know that this company is very passionate about keeping the jobs in the U.S. We have a Martinsville plant as well and our Bench Made is 100% made in Bassett Virginia.

I have been a loyal customer of Bassett for many years, I have purchased from the Falls Church Store, as well as the Newport News location and by far the Fredericksburg store is the best! I also have to give a special shout out to Anna Heim she is truly amazing! Anna has the best customer service, she help me schedule my delivery as well as pick out furniture. I had lost faith in Bassett because of the Newport News store but Anna Heim has made it all better she is truly and extraordinary person because of her I will continue to stay loyal to Bassett especially the Fredericksburg Location!

The latest review I wrote was deleted, hmmm wonder why that would be? How about instead of deleting comments the store reach out to the customer regarding their concerns. Must have been embarrassed by the lack of professionalism exhibited by the employees. Recent experience we had was that we walked into the the stored and were allowed to walk to the back of the store and back to the front as we exited and not a single sales associated offered any assistance towards us. Almost positive it was due to our ethnic background and they thought we couldnt afford their furniture. However, we received excellent service elsewhere and fully furnished four of our rooms. Basset will forever be scratched form our furniture shopping list. We do not recommend this place to anyone!!

Staff was very slow to offer assistance, greeted others that came in after me. I had to seek out help. If I found something of interest I would not have purchased from this store.

We ended up not purchasing anything from this store. It took over an hour to write up a mattress and to see if it was in stock in warehouse.
