Ratchet Brothers was recommended to me. I live in east dallas. It’s a long drive but the crew at ratchet bros makes the drive worth while. I was given an honest opinion on what needed to be repaired. When it was time to pay the bill, no hidden surprises. I appreciate that. Having a mechanic that I can recommend to my mom is worth paying a small percentage more. They’re not the cheapest but definitely the best experience I’ve had with a mechanic shop. You can tell the work is done by professionals.

My husband took my truck in for emergency brake replacement. First we had to wait over a month for the parts. Second the work was not done, and is dangerous. The brake does not work at all. Sent an email with no response. When husband went by the shop. Employee he talked to did nothing but tell him he could come in on Friday. Bad job, dangerous job, and unprofessional response.

The greatest service you will find in the DFW. Quality work with fair pricing. Great service as well. Only place I take my Tundra.

I have no complaints so far. Their professionalism is noteworthy. I had a piece torn off my undercarriage from rolling over something and they fixed it free of charge, then I later had my brakes done at a reasonable price. Despite their busy schedule, the wait for my brakes was within reason (roughly 45-hour). I dont get a sense that they habitually rip people off and in this industry, that is super hard to find! Doing business with integrity is what retains customers and they have won me over in that regard, so Ill definitely bring my car to them again. :-)

When my wifes AC went out on her car for the 3rd time, I needed to find a new place to fix it. So I used Google reviews to try and find someone and found Ratchet Brothers. Wow. They live up to the 4.9 rating. I dont know how it isnt a solid 5. Not only did they fix her AC, they did it for a very reasonable price and it took exactly the amount of time they said it would. One week later, my wife ran over something and damaged the undercarriage plastic shroud. So I took it back to them and they put it back in place for me in about 20 minutes ... no charge. I tried to pay ... no charge. Well be back and will tell all our friends. They are professional, fast, fair in price and on top of that, really dang nice. Probably the best customer service Ive had in a long time. Oh, and a week after the repair of the AC (right before I had to call them to take it back for the undercarriage), they texted me to simply ask if everything was working properly. This is the way to do business.

I have been taking both of my cars here for a few years. I have found that they will work with my schedule, do the most cost effective work, and provide me with confidence that my car will operate properly when I leave the shop. I have started buying tires here as well. Discount Tire always told me to get X tire, Ratchet Bros let me know that those are soft tires. Ratchet Bros got me the right tires for what I want at the same price. I had asked the folks at Discount Tires the exact same questions and kept getting the same answer. Every time I use Ratchet Bros I know that I am spending money at a local shop with a local owner who takes care of his employees. I recently installed Bilstein leveling struts on my 2nd Gen Tacoma and new wheels and tires. I needed to get an alignment done at a shop with experience working on lifted trucks. I called a few local shops but none of the shops had any openings for over a week and some required a deposit before I could set an appointment. I ended up finding Ratchet Brothers and they were actually less than 3 miles from my home. They were able to see me within a few days, no deposit required and also got my state inspection done at the same time. They have great customer service. Cindy running the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Also Sam is very knowledgeable and answered a few questions on another project I want to get done. Sam and his team saved the day for our family. We were 1,000 miles past our warranty when our a/c went out in our SUV. I was able to take it Sam and have the job completed in a 1 day turnaround. Price was great as well. Very thankful he was able to fix our problem.

I brought Sam my 99 Tacoma for a Timing belt, pulleys, tensioner, idler pulley, drive belts and the front axle shafts. My truck has not been running for over 5 years so I know they ran into problems that would not normally be there, but they just took care of it and did not nickle and dime for to death. Now its running better than ever. From the front desk to the guys in the shop I was very impressed with the professionalism, knowledge and customer service. I was referred to Ratchet Brothers(RB) by a friend named Marcus, he spoke of Sam at RB as if he was an Automotive Repair GOD. Well about 24 hrs after meeting Sam/Cindy at RB. I picked up the ole 2011 LS460 from RB they were finished with my 90,000 mile scheduled maintenance, when I started the engine, it was so quite I had look at the RPM gauge for extra assurance to see if the whip was actually on. During my drive home I noticed the LS was actually propelling itself down the road while I was barely pressing the Gas Pedal, In essence the almost 10 year old car was performing as if it was brand new. In closing IMHO if you need any kind of Automotive Service/repairs you would be considered one of the wisest if you simply pick up the phone and call Ratchet Brothers ask for Sam or Cindy let them know you read their Google Reviews.I normally never write reviews, for RB it was a necessity. The New 2016 Jeep Patriot broke down a hour before our destination. FYI if ever getting these vehicles buyer be ware. We had to get a diagnosis and turns out we needed to replace the throttle body. They replaced the throttle. They got us in and out within 4 hours or so. After driving for 10+hours. And we ended up going to the final destination. Thanks again Brothers.

I think I found a shop I can trust! I had been looking at this shop because my wifes 2001 Suburban just had not been acting right. Before I could take it in to have them look at it the truck died so I had it towed there. They diagnosed bad fuel pump, ( it still had the original one with 268000 miles on it). Quoted a great price to replace. After replacing they took it out for a extensive test drive. Diagnosed a/c compressor about to fail. Took care of some other minor maintenance issues and out the door for what I could have conceivably paid just for the fuel pump replacement. More importantly wife drove the truck home and said that it drove like it used to and was blowing cold AC. Thanks Ratchet Brothers!Updated review: I am sorry to say I can no longer recommend this business. They seem to be following the pattern of most shops where they initially give you great service and it goes downhill from there. Both times I have had my vehicle serviced there recently I have had to take it back to correct the repair. The most recent repair (emergency brake cable replacement) wasnt done and the business does not seem concerned at all about fixing the error in a timely manner.Updated review: Took the truck in today and the emergency brake cable repair has been completed.

They literally saved me when my car started over heating late in the afternoon, and I was still 3 hours from home. Fortunately Google directed me to the best shop Ive probably ever been to.Despite being overwhelmingly busy, they checked my car out, helped me find a hotel and made sure I was safe until my car was fixed. Truly the best place to take your car.

Id be here all day if I typed up and explained all the things I thought was wrong with my 250,000 mile chevy silverado. The largest concern was hesitating/kicking driving on the highway at speeds of 55mph and up. Also the consumption of oil was becoming more and more noticeable. Ratchet Brothers LLC believed it was the cam sensor built into the ignition distributor (also tied to check eng light). The shop replaced this, performed a tune up, changed the oil and replaced my 5 year old battery. There mechanic believes to know where the oil leak might be coming from but instead of assuming and charging for all of that. They hope that the new oil used will resolve this problem. The mechanic cleaned up most of the grime that was underneath the engine so if oil does continue to leak while driving it will show more predominately, (it doesnt leak parked). This is what I appreciated most from this shop. While I might have to come back at some point in time. They got my vehicle back on the road and I feel safe driving again. Thanks Cindy and mysterious mechanic that so many people appreciate in these reviews. Cindy Im going to need an alignment done.. I forgot about that one lol. Youll be hearing from me.

Ratchet Brothers does it again!!! I knew that I was in great hands after I brought my truck in for a new exhaust. This time, I brought in my Jeep, which was having some electrical issues from a botched lighting company job. While we were in, we had the exhaust changed out as well. 5 Stars are not enough! Not only did they fix our wiring problems and put in a beautiful exhaust but they took their time and explained everything. Best service experience we have ever had! See you next time my friends!

I have been taking our vehicles to Sam and crew at Ratchet Brothers for over a year now. As someone who has turned wrenches before it is hard to find a shop that you trust. Thankfully RB is a nearby shop that has earned my trust and that of multiple car clubs. I have had a couple issues and they been able to reliably diagnose and repair them. Sam always has recommendations ready as he is very knowledgeable, but they do not employ high pressure sales tactics. Nor do they try to trick you into getting products or services that you dont need, like some of the other shops in the area do.Their rates are very reasonable for the quality of work done and customer service provided. They have a nice lobby/waiting area for those who choose to wait on their vehicle. I have spent a lot of time in their waiting area...the capable techs there do all the oil changes on my Toyota Tundra and have also replaced my exhaust, added aftermarket shocks, changed tires, done the alignment, and more.I have referred multiple people to Ratchet Brothers, and I have heard only good feedback from those that used RB.

Had a project to do on a jeep xj and was about to have 4wp do since I had been using them since 1988. A buddy told me about this shop and how well the customer service is. So to sum it up RBS did the work, made sure everything was done right despite issues with wrong parts delivered. Their pricing saved me over 30 percent and that really made me happy. Their alignment service ruined my tires. I had brand new tires that needed replacing within 1 year of having my alignment fixed. (Attached picture on Yelp review) outside of tire still has 30k miles of life. Inside of both front tires are showing thread. The repair cost me several hundred for new tires plus a new alignment at a different shop.On the bright side: they were accommodating and very nice when having the repair made.

Great service and Sam took the time to explain everything to me regarding my 1993 Sierra. Replaced all the intake manifold and valve cover gaskets, as well as new valve covers. Prices were very reasonable and the extra attention to detail was on point.

I took my truck in to get some lights done, they had a few things to tidy up on it so Sam let me drive his truck home and will deliver my truck later this afternoon. Best loyal mechanic shop ive been to.

Sam & CrewYou guy are amazing, and did magic installing the parts i needed to get installed.I purchased a coil-over kit recently looking to get it installed. Knowing id need upper rear mount, i went and ordered them. I got to the shop to get em installed and Sam told me I needed lower control arms for the rear (part number included). I came back 3 weeks later and had everything I needed to get the install done. Install got done in a work day, even came in on a day off to do the alignment. Picked the car up the next day, and I hear a noise on my way home. Brought back the following day, and the problem was simply solved. I know this is what you do for a living, but thank you. From the bottom of my heart. I will be back :)

I absolutely love this place!! Went to get my oil changed and had a great experience from the start. The waiting room was so comfortable and the staff was extremely nice! Will definitely recommend them to my family and friends!!
