I was passing through town and while checking in to my hotel, noticed my car was leaking antifreeze. Once settled, I searched on my phone for the nearest repair shop to my hotel. Fort Walton Radiator was only a mile away. The next morning I took my car (a 2003 Lexus) to the shop and Al got me checked it quickly. He called me a short time later to explain the repair and give an estimate. He was able to obtain the part and repair my car the same day. While I was in the shop, I realized that Al had done repair work on my fathers vehicles 30-years earlier at his old shop. I felt at ease knowing that a shop with such a good reputation was repairing my car. Two days after my repair, I received a text message from Danny. He was checking up to make sure I was satisfied with the repair. I was. I am impressed by the attention to detail this shop provides. Pricing was reasonable too. Thanks again!!

Everyone at FWB Radiator was so helpful the whole time they were dealing with my Mini. Insurance was not making it easy for them. I read other peoples reviews to figure out where to take it and Im glad I brought it here. Im very thankful for a local owned shop because I was treated like a person and not just a paycheck.

I found this repair shop from a google search. My 2001 ford ranger’s AC was blowing hot. They found the problem and fixed it. I am very satisfied with their services.

Polite sevice by the receptionist was great. Went in to get a hose on radiator tightened and ended up getting a new water pump costing 371.00 bucks. Never showed me the water pump leaking and also charged me for brake inspection i never asked for??????? I thought a hose tightened up would sove the problem??? But i was never told anything about the issue i had. I believe i was ripped off and and took advantage of cause i was out of town. Period. An easy fix turned into 400 bucks without showing me??? Do not bring ur car here. Usmc. They should have went the easy route but wanted the money.

Was here on vacation and during the drive from out of state I noticed a noise that progressively got worse. I called Rhodes and while they were already booked for the day they agreed to let me bring in my truck for diagnostics on a Friday before their work day commenced. Within 20 minutes they were able to diagnose my truck with a failing differential bearing. Despite being booked they agreed that it was not safe for me to drive the 14 hours to get home the following day and rearranged the schedule to fit me in prior to closing. Not only did they get my truck fixed, they did it with integrity, and still gave me a military discount even though I asked them not to due to all the effort they took to get my truck up and running again. If you are looking for an honest auto repair company I highly recommend going to Rhodes.

My first choice for a Nay auto repair is Fort Walton Radiator and Air. They are knowledgeable, fair, well worth the cost (which is also great), will explain everything to you and just plain super and quick at fixing cars. Besides mine, I have also taken my kids and mother-in-law’s car there for repairs as well.

Alright let me start by saying I used this shop, got a quick appointment and was charged what I believe was fair. So it’s nearly heartbreaking not to give them a 5star review, but here are my reasons:1 I made an appointment and was told my car wouldn’t be ready until 1-2 days later since they had a lot of walk ins that day *eyeroll*2 the secretary would wear a mask if she saw someone else wear a mask, however no one else in the office bothered to and if another customer entered without mask she put hers down too3 when I initially went in to get my car looked at and asked for a detailed projection for cost I was told it would take some time to locate the piece but when I called 4 days later I was informed that the piece was already on the way. I never saw the quote or agreed to the repair.4 the mechanics kept laughing at my car, which was in good spirits, however being a younger woman in that environment made me generally uncomfortable, if you know what I mean...but like I said it was done, it was quick to get in and the price was okay!

There was a miscommunication on the scheduled maintenance and they still managed to fit me in and take care of me in a timely manner. Matt & Danny really know how to take care of the customer.

Helped us with our car and made arrangements to fit us into his schedule.Work was great and followed up with phone call and text to see how everything was. Best place will be back.

Dawn & Danny are the friendliest people. Got me in right away. Inspected truck, called and gave me prices before they did the work. Two other places said needed to take out dash replace evap unit, only way to fix $800.00 to $1,000.00. Danny took the time to check system, it was something that cost $150.00. I trust these people and have found my forever car repair place! HIGHLY recommend. Prices very reasonable to low.

Danny and Al are absolutely fantastic. We have a high top conversion van with a custom made AC line that has no diagram for. We were visiting Destin, and had to leave, and couldn’t drive home with no AC 800 miles. They repaired our AC leak in a day, and rerouted the line so the turbo wouldn’t cause the problem again. Danny also called Enterprise and gave me a ride there since I had my wife and 4 kids stranded at the hotel an hour away. I can’t say enough about them, just decent folks who are also experts in their field. I’m sure it would take a bit longer if your a local, and I paid a bit more since it was an emergency, but it was still incredibly reasonable, especially since they had to basically rebuild the AC lines (I was shocked at how reasonable my bill was!). Great service, and even better people!

FWB Radiator has been a lifesaver for me. My Fiat Abarth suffered the ravages of a little mouse who set up shop under the hood and chewed through a number of wires. Took them 1 hour to diagnose my air conditioning problem which Audi failed to do in 4 visits and $2,000. Great people, great work. Would have saved me a ton of money had I just come here to begin with. Also, they texted me a month later to make sure it was still working. Literally no one does service like that these days. Best of all, I have a dashcam in my car and saw that the technician drove carefully and followed all speed limits and stop signs when driving my car. I just spoke with “Al” asking about installing a radiator in my vehicle. I had ordered the new radiator a few weeks ago because several different people were going to install it for me but just have not gotten around to it, so I called AL to ask if they installed radiators there, as the name implies, I told him my issue and his reply was “uhuh, we don’t play that game here”...SIR, that was far from my intention, I have been without a vehicle for over a month and was inquiring! It’s hard to find a good reputable shop these days!!! VERY RUDE!! I don’t know that they’d even get ONE star from me really...

Competitive prices. These are the most honest mechanics I have met in quite some time. I usually go to the base hobby shop for my auto repair needs, knowing that they wont to rip me off. On my last visit when they were unable to help, the base auto shop recommended Ft. Walton Radiator and Ill so glad they did. They gave me an honest quote and the end price ended up being even cheaper than that. Definitely recommended!!!!

Radiator/thermostat/hose replacement

Probably THE best business I have EVER had the pleasure of dealing with. Period. First took my van there in 2007 for an A/C problem, and a few months later I knew what a true gem they are when I needed a radiator repair they had the specialized equipment to do, which anyplace else might mean a long repair and big bucks. I (and my wallet) were very pleased: it was fast and affordable. That has continued over the years - every repair experience fast and affordable. They do the job right, AND take the time to explain the needed / recommended repairs, and the impact if you decide not to so them or delay them for a while. My vehicle decided to throw a belt on our family vacation and in the process cut an AC line. Danny was able to get my car in, serviced and back to me in less than 6 hours. Danny is by far one of the best I have ever dealt with. He even followed up with a personal text to check on their work.Highly recommend this shop to any locals or out of towners!

Both my car and I are old which sometimes causes us to be overlooked but when I called and spoke to Al He found that work they did last May were still in warranty and the bad parts could be replaced at no charge. He also gave me a slot early on the first business day. I left the car on Sunday night and got a all at 9AM Monday that it was ready. Big thumbs up for the courtesy they afforded me and the rapid turn-around. The A/C works even if I dont.

This is the best auto repair shop in FWB and I have tried a bunch. They know what they are doing because they have fixed things that other shops couldnt, such as my AC. They also have a great computer system that keeps a detailed track of your history. Al and Danny are real professionals and very nice, friendly people too.

Brought in Air Conditioning parts and gas tank off a 70 AMX. Danny and his crew quickly looked over the items and came up with a fair price to restore the A/C item to original specs. and weld the filler neck into the new gas tank. After 4 days all my items were ready for pickup. Everything look great and Im very satisfied with there work.Something else that needs to be mentioned is the customer service. Danny had the mechanic come out and explain what they could do to restore the items. Make sure we were on the same lines of thought and both had a clear understanding of what would be done. A few days after I picked up my items, I had an email from Danny checking to see if everything was done correctly and if I was satisfied with the work. Tell me the last time a business you dealt with did that?I did not know of Ft. Walton Beach Radiator Auto Air & Repair until NAPA suggested them but Danny and his team will be the ones I think of using first from now on.Thanks Danny and Al (nice helpful counter guy).

I was needing my ac charged, I called here on Monday which was memorial day and a nice guy answered and told me to be there Tuesday at 8am and they would get me taken care of. I was there at 8am on Tuesday and walked in and a gentleman with the name of AL I believe was on his shirt, I explained to him my problem and told that I spoke with a gentleman that told me to come by at 8am to get taken care of and the response I got was NO APPOINTMENT, NO HELP... I thought my hearing was going bad so i ask him to repeat that and he said again IF YOU DONT HAVE A APPOINTMENT, IM NOT GONNA HELP YOU. Absolutely rude mannor. Never looked at me, just stared at his computer screen.

Have been using Fort Walton Radiator for years always satisfied with work delivered and can always trust what they tell you. If have question you can always talk to Al he will be strait with you. I would recommend everyone when you take your car to that shop try to get the second opinion with another auto repair, before you will agree on using their service. They are trying to play like they are a nice business but in the reality, they are just trying to overcharge you and make you to pay for the parts that even dont need to be replaced. I just simply had to change my break pads on my Nissan Altima, but according to them my car was also needed, on top of break pads, new caliper, brake hose, brake flush and few other small things, the total estimate they gave me was over $800. I took it to another shop and they were in shock when i told them what Ft, Walton Auto Air& Repair was trying to charge me for, when it was just the change of front and rear break pads. I was highly disappointed with Ft.Walton Radiator Auto and Repair and dont recommend it to anyone.

Take or tow it in broke - get it back running like new! Our 1985 Nissan was refusing to run, so I had it towed in to FWAR and they had it back to me the next day purring like a kitten! Turns out it was a bad set of sparkplug wires that reached the point where they would rather make sparks than make the car run! Quick diagnosis, repair and turn around! Thanks!!

I have been with FWR for years, always get a good job with reasonable pricing. The technicians are honest and experienced in their trade. If you do ever have a problem or question Danny and Al are always understanding and easy to talk to. Myself, familiar with FWR from years past as a Civil Servant at Eglin remembered them using them as sub contractor and being well trusted.

My truck broke down i towed it F.W.B. Auto air & Repair and they figured out it was my PCM had gone bad they found a company that rebuilds them had me fixed for labor day weekend i drove 1400 miles that weekend, no problems with my truck! They also fixed my radiator, water pump last yearI cant say enough, I will be back for something else! Dam good company!

My AC wasnt blowing cold air so I brought it in to be looked at. I made the mistake of telling them I was leaving Florida in a couple weeks and would be driving cross country. So I NEEDED my AC fixed, so youd think they would look at, and check EVERYTHING, and I asked them to.They got it blowing cold, which lasted for 3 days and they charged me over $500.00.It stopped blowing cold air again, I called them and they told me to bring it back in. Screw that.I brought it to the Auto shop on Eglin AFB and one of the mechanics pinpointed the real problem in 5 minutes while I stood there and watched. The entire job and the part that needed replacing cost me only $300. Its still blowing cold as hell to this day, 6 months later.Its almost as if FW Radiator/Air intentionally missed something that big and crucial to the cooling system, and they knew I was leaving, so they could make a quick buck without having actually done anything but recharge my AC temporarily.What should have cost me just over $300 ended up costing me over $800.00.I will not go back, and wouldnt recommend them to anyone.

I called for a quote on replacing my radiator. 630.00 is the price. I was told that I couldnt get my own part and also was told that it takes 6 hours to replace it. well I did buy my own parts and had it installed for 100 bucks. you should be ashamed of yourself. will steer business away from you for sure
