I have bought not one, but two cars from Roger Proctor at Hampton Hyundai in the past 5 months, and happily recommend him! Although he has sold cars for a number of years there, he is not your typical car salesman, but rather he tries to focus on what will be best for your budget and credit history to help ensure you find a car that meets your budgetary goals. More importantly, he is probably the most non-pushy salesperson you will ever work with, which makes for a very easy-going but productive and relatively fast car buying experience.In my case, we managed to get a rare 2021 Elantra Hybrid (blue package) and the fuel savings over my prior vehicle on my very long work commute fully covers my payment (seriously!). Hyundais calculation overstates a bit, so I have seen 50 to 51 mpg on mixed driving as actually measured and already have 9999 miles to date at this moment on my May purchase!My daughter also picked out a 2017 RAV4 with 50k on it last week to replace her venerable 2004 Forester XT with 238k on the body, and she is absolutely in love with her choice!Nice, easy dealership to do business with, and I personally recommend working with Roger Proctor to help you find your right vehicle.

My lease had only 5 months to go, so I visited Hampton Hyundai to check out my options. Chris Murphy helped me get a payoff amount, review what cars were on the lot, and discussed my options. In the end, the best option was to purchase the car through the Eglin Credit Union. No pressure to trade my car in on a new one, or finance through Hyundai Finance. Chris was great through the entire process. Highly recommend asking for him if you are in the market for a new car.

Dealership is charging a $5,000 premium because of the supply chain shortage. Price gouging at its finest. I bet they sell plywood at $250 a sheet after a hurricane. Stay away and let them know you wont pay that ridiculous price!

Award winning service department. Apparently customers did not vote on this. I bought a G70 last year. I opted to buy the extended warranty that covers everything. Well, not everything- read the fine print! It covers dings and I had some, but they told me when I took it in that my super duper warranty did not cover paint-chipped dings...so I went somewhere else and paid for that out of pocket. Anyway, my wheels sit low and the rims got scraped and I had them look at that at the same time they told me that my covers everything warranty didnt cover everything. The rims need to be fixed or replaced. The guy said theyd call me when the parts come in. This was months ago. I have been calling to get the status of my rim replacement ever since- about once a month. In their defense, they were calling the wrong number. But we realized this about 4 months ago, and I gave them the correct number back then but have still heard nothing. I called again today and after they found my info and history (another issue- every single time I call they have a problem finding anything about all of my calls and the issues with the Genesis) they gave me a shop downtown to take the car to. FINALLY a possible fix. My problem with this service department is communication. It shouldnt have taken me over 6 months to get the car fixed. The only award this service department deserves is least likely to follow up.

Just talked to my mom and she has a 2021 Hyunda Elantra Limited that she bought from Hampton Hyundai in January. This week she discovered that the back right door isnt locking no matter what she tries. She called the service department and they wont give her an appointment for two and a half weeks. She is now afraid to park her car in any parking lot because she is afraid that it will get stolen or ransacked since it will not lock. This type of service is unacceptable. I cant believe that Hampton Hyundai would leave a loyal customer stranded like this.

My salesman Cameron Sundstrum helped me get to the right people and found me a used car I could afford which is in great shape and was all I had asked for. Showed up early to inquire about a new car. The current cars on the lot didn’t appeal to me so I spoke with Nick about when a possible new shipment would come in. He immediately went and spoke with someone, and we were informed a new car had came off truck the night before. He quickly got the key and brought it around for me to see. He made the process of finding my new car quick and easy. Since the car had just arrived it took a day to process it into the system and get it ready to head off the lot. Nick promptly started all the paperwork, and had all the pre approval things done before I left that day. Showed up the following day and finished everything else. Process was seemless. I came into Hampton looking for a specific used vehicle posted on their website. The car was not ready to go yet, in that it was a new acquisition and had yet to be cleaned or adequately serviced. Bart Boxberger met me with a friendly smile and a great sense of humor to let me take it for a spin.He assured me that the vehicle would be cleaned and inspected/serviced to Hampton standards before I signed and took it home. That week he called me as soon as it was done and let me drive again to ensure the vehicle met my satisfaction. The service department and Bart made sure that the car ran great before I took it home. On my way home, after purchase, a tire pressure light came on. Bart and Nick helped me get it back to the service department; they referred me to a local tire shop and fit the bill because they didnt have the Toyota sensor needed. Bart and Hampton were great to work with, even after I left the lot. I would not hesitate to refer someone there and will start there when I need my next vehicle.

July 13, 2021 the Air Conditioning system in my Hyundai Santa Fe Limited quit working while I was vacationing in Fot Walton Beach. I had the AC worked on by my dealer in Alexandria, Ky. only 1 month before, inwarranty.Hampton said the first available appointment was AUGUST 24...six weeks later. What a great way to help a dedicated Hyundai family after 3 new cars purchased over the years. Sorry the people of Florida are strapped with such a horrible service department. Now my family gets to enjoy the rest of our time in the 90+ degree heat in Florida and anticipate a 10 hour drive home in a hot car with a lot of wind.THINK AGAIN BEFORE BUYING A CAR FROM HAMPTON...Weak excuse in the response from owner. The problem may be a simple relay for the AC blower motor, but your service area wasnt even willing to diagnose for me. Now Im facing a 10 to 11 hour drive home without air conditioning. I found a relay and a resistor here in Fort Walton, but Im not going to be changing parts that may not fix the problem.Upon returning home to Northern Kentucky, our dealership got us in on the first business day....found the problem to be a resistor and had us cooling down in less than 1 hour. Hampton wouldnt help a loyal Hyundai customer.

Ive been looking for a Genesis G80 black on black for awhile, but there wasnt one anywhere near me. Ive never considered buying something online, but I found this car on Hampton Hyundais website and loved it just based on what I saw and read. So I called and spoke with Chris Murphy. He was excellent to work with from start to finish. He went above and beyond to make this me comfortable about the sale even though I wasnt there in person. He made a video for me in and around the outside of the car. He even gave me his cell number and was cordial as i asked a bunch of questions about the car and other potential issues with buying online.Steven worked with me on all the paperwork and payment making it a smooth transaction.If you are in the market for a new car, whether you are in the area or not, these guys will do you a great job putting you in the car that you want.

I bought a used Nissan Versa on September 3rd. It is now September 13th and I still dont have the car or have any explanation from the dealer. The car was supposed to have some work completed on September 3rd but they could not complete it and we were given a loaner, with understanding that when the work was completed, the car would be delivered to us. Apparently that has changed and the salesperson, Jennifer Hart, now says she cant deliver the car. We live over 90 miles from the dealership and work full time during the week. When we attempted to exchange cars last weekend at a place half way for both of us Jennifer said she was too busy during the day. I have contacted the dealer via email and by phone but have heard nothing from them. I will never buy another car from this place and dont know if Ill ever see the car I did buy!

The Sonota engine has a recall, so after my engine stalled on the highway I took it here to have a new engine installed. The vehicle was returned to me with a completely non functional radio/Bluetooth. The engine fluids were all at incredibly low levels. The state of my vehicle being returned to me prior to the engine stalling, is considerably less than where I started. This location is a perfect representation of every horror story and mark up scam youve heard of coming from a dealership.

Hes personable and a straight-shooter, didnt pressure us at all, but was very courteous and answered all our questions and helped us find the best car/deal for us. I purchased a new car from Hampton Hyundai in October 2020. I had a good experience purchasing the car and with the sales team, and Ive been very happy with it.I scheduled my first free oil change for the afternoon of May 16 and that morning I was called by the service department, they explained to me that they were short on staff and my service may take a while to complete. They gave me an option to reschedule my oil change for May 18 at 9:30am. Although it was an inconvenience to me, I figured I would reschedule to ensure a shorter wait time and help the service department out on their busy day.I wasnt able to take the car in myself so my wife brought it in at 9:30am. She told the service member who helped her about the rescheduling and mentioned two other areas of the interior that I wanted looked at. She was told that it may take a while to finish everything and the service member gave an estimate of 2 hours. This was a surprise since it was scheduled (and rescheduled), but asking to look at the additional areas of the car may need more time than I thought. My wife had no other choice but to wait there for the service.She noticed multiple customers coming in after her and leaving before her. Eventually after waiting for about 3 hours she was approached by another Hampton employee, (who was very helpful and nice, not sure which department though) and asked if she was waiting on anything. She explained the situation and was told that the initial service member who helped her had left for the day. She finally left at 1:30pm.Calling a customer and asking them to reschedule a service appointment is inconvenient, but understandable under the circumstances. Waiting 4 hours for scheduled maintenance without any prior notice of how long it might take is terrible service. A service member leaving for the day without telling someone that a customer is waiting is unacceptable.This is the worst experience Ive ever had with car maintenance and I would never recommend the Hampton Hyundai service department to anyone.

My husband and I were in town for a family vacation and had been throwing around maybe going to look at some vehicles. We went to two other dealerships in Ft. Walton before Hampton and were not acknowledged or spoken to. As soon as we pulled up to Hampton, Bart Boxberger met us outside to assist us. He was very friendly from the get go and asked us what vehicles we were interested in/if we needed anything. We told him we were interested in the new Palisades and he told us there was only one left and that he would pull it around for us! We went on a test drive and immediately fell in love. Bart was so nice to answer any questions we had. We also had our 8 month old son with us through the process and everyone was so nice and understanding. He made the car buying process so much less stressful than it would typically be. He helped us get exactly the rates and everything we wanted as well as the finance department. My wife and I were in Fort Walton Beach Fl to supervise a remodel project, once the project was completed we decided to stay and enjoy some free time. We had discussed looking at SUVs but not until we got back to Illinois. We looked at ratings on models we were interested in and Hyundai was our first stop where we met sales associate Roger Proctor. Roger met us at our car and we thought the sales pressure is about to start. Roger greeted us professionally and as we talked Roger was all about what we wanted in a vehicle and explained in detail what each vehicle package had to offer, he had to do that more than once because of all the options that are offered. We picked a Hyundai Santa Fe for a test drive, it fit our needs for size, comfort and options. We told Roger we were going to try out other options, Roger didnt try to discourage us. We tried out a number of others and came back to the Hyundai Santa Fe because it was the best fit for us . We sat down and worked out a deal from there Roger worked aggressively to get the paper work completed, the vehicle detailed and spent all the time we needed to go over all the features the vehicle offered so we could pick it up the next day for our trip back to Illinois, I think he had to skip a lunch to make that happen. The trip back to Illinois was a pleasure.

Was honestly the best car buying experience thus far in my life, I did most of my searching online. Went to the dealership the day after I submitted an info request on the one I wanted. Dan made me not dread buying a car....with a 4 year old in tow & being 6 months pregnant 😳🥳. I recently purchased 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe from Hampton, great buy, great experience! Austin Blough is the sales guy to go with, knows what hes doing. I had some issues with Blue Link setup when I went home Austin fixed it for me immediately .He will definitely get you a great deal on your car, well maybe with a little help from my EUROPEAN CONNECTION finance manager, whose name I already forgot (its that guy from England)Sorry mate!!! No complaints for that department.That having been said, My wife and I came to look at some vehicles, Im sorry to say that the representative who helped us gave off a weird feeling. Lingered around awkwardly and when we did ask questions, he seemed to not really know details about the vehicles we asked about. Honestly gave off a little bit of a creepy vibe.

Just purchased a 2021 Palisade and am very impressed with the vehicle and my salesperson, Chris Murphy. He showed me one they had on the lot and I told him the color and type I would like to find. He contacted me two days later with the exact car I would have built online. He was an extremely pleasant salesperson and did not apply any pressure whatsoever. Most impressive, though, was his thorough knowledge of the vehicle. I originally went to another Hyundai dealer in the area to lease a 2021 Hyundai Sonata for my daughter. After negotiating for a couple of days, we finally reached a deal and picked out the car. When I followed up the next day to make arrangements to take delivery of the car, I was told that they had sold it to someone else. At that point, I called Hampton Hyundai, and was lucky enough to reach Dan Ewbank. Dan and I agreed on the car, the price, and terms, and with the help of his Sales Manager Matt, they agreed to hold the car until after Thanksgiving. I want to thank Dan and Matt for their professionalism, and for making the arduous task of buying a car, a pleasant experience for me and my daughter. Dont go here if youre undecided about what car you want. I wanted to drive more than 2 cars and the manager threw a fit. He literally yelled at me and had a tantrum when I told him I thought you were supposed to be able to drive cars at a used car lot. I went to check out new Palisade. When I asked for the total price they refused to provide it unless I was committing to buying the vehicle. I said how can I buy it if I dont know the price? I will not buy another car from this dealership because of the service I have received from the service department. I have had services promised and not performed. I have had the paint chipped on my car not once but twice by the service department. I have waited since May 10 for a return call on the second paint chip to be repaired. I had a leak in the back of car that took them a month to repair. My car now smells musky.
