Bought 4 new vehicles at this store in 2 and a half years. Everything was good until trying to cancel a gap policy which thanks to Roxy in finance became a nightmare. Roxy said she received my cancelation on July 1, when I followed up in September it took multiple calls and emails to find out she never took care of it. The biggest shock was how the general manager Jimmy seemed not to care about my frustration. Jimmy was eager to tell me that its a finance problem and he was wondering why I wanted to speak with him. After I asked for a minute to vent my frustration and ask for some accountability he sarcastically responded with Im here to 8 pm. Apparently loyal customers who spend a lot of money at your store dont matter. Ill gladly spend my money elsewhere. How you take care of your customer After the sale shows your true colors.

Drove 2 hours to find the car I wanted . Planned on leaving with a new car, but as the salesman was friendly and nice at first, it soon turned sour when an older gentleman walked up and started looking at the same vehicle I was looking at as I was inside the vehicle checking out everything inside the older gentleman opened up the back door started looking in the car the salesman then turned his attention to that older gentleman taking his attention off of me. After about five minutes of the salesman not paying attention to me or my other parties with me paying strict attention to the older gentleman who just walked up we decided to walk away from the purchase of the vehicle even though it was not the color we wanted we were going to sit down and purchase said vehicle never again will I set foot at Folsom Lake Hyundai

I waited over a year to post this to ensure my rating was accurate.I purchase a new Hyundai ionic in March 2020. The car is great, however, my experience with Folsom Lake Hyundai has been terrible.The sales manager was like a used car salesman and was a bully. Before I signed the papers I asked if they had a different color available and he responded youre really going to ask that now that were ready to sign? What happened to customer service? I felt bullied into making the purchase.Since then, Ive had issues with the service warranty and they have NEVER returned my calls where I requested a copy of the warranty.My advice is not to purchase a car here. Go to Roseville or Sacramento.

My husband and I are driving away from this dealership from test driving a vehicle which we were going to purchase. We were seated with our salesperson and going over the Carfax when the sales manager, Ryan, came over to say that the couple from the Bay Area who had just arrived and we’re going to test drive the car next we’re going to buy it so it was sold. We were shocked and very upset. We won’t be back and we won’t be purchasing a car from the Roseville dealership either, which is owned by the same owners. No integrity! I’ll be spreading the word.

Normally I dont do reviews but when I have to contact a sales manager over and over again without responses, I have no choice. This place did great getting the car, however the follow up customer service was trash. I have been in the customer service field all my life and know the follow up is just as important as the first meeting. If you give your number, it should not take close to a week to get a simple yes or no to a question. That is very unacceptable and shows you do not actually care about the persons buy after they leave the car lot especially as a sales manager. It is quite disappointing when you become a manager but forget your customer service training! If anyone goes up there, look for Nell and Oz. They are good!This would have been a 5 star if the follow up service and constant no responses would have been better.Once again, this rating is based off the service not the car.

I have been leasing vehicles from Folsom Hyundai for several years now and have always dreaded the lease return/new lease process. That being said, this particular time was refreshing; people knew our name, were extremely friendly, and the overall process has gotten a little bit better! I still think that the dealership process can be greatly improved with things like online pre-approvals, online form submissions. I would love to come to the dealership with most everything already done, so that I am out of there in a matter of minutes! I suggest you follow Teslas lead here!!!

My brother recently took the 2014 Tucson Hyundai in for the engine recall. It failed while driving. It took two weeks to have it repaired.After the engine was repaired, the air conditioner didn’t work. He took it in and they checked it and said the compressor was out. There was nothing wrong with the air when my brother took it in. The service rep, Rod, told him that it would cost $1,200 to repair. He was so shocked because there was nothing wrong when he took it in for the engine repair, and after they worked on the engine the air went out.My brother is not working and has no means to pay that much money. He talked to Rod, and Rod said they will give him a discount.My brother needed to see if he can get the money. So he didn’t do it right away. They said he had until end of the month. Finally he decided to do it since what choice did he have. In this heat, he couldn’t drive it when it is hot afraid to get a heat stroke.So he called try to get an appointment, but no one returned his calls. My brother called 3 times one day and left messages. Called again the next day, no call back. I called the service manager, John Wilson on 7/26, left a message, and he never called back. I called Rod Johnson 7/29/21 and left a message and no return call. This is very unprofessional.They should repair the compressor for free since it was nothing wrong with it when they repaired the engine.I am very sad for my brother who is a veteran and senior. He can’t afford such a big car repair bill. With this heat, he can’t go anywhere during the afternoon. It is very frustrating.

Even though the car that I wanted could not be delivered on time the people from the dealership went above and beyond to try to get me into the vehicle that I wanted as soon as they could. I was impressed enough to actually buy the limited edition model instead of the sport model of Sonata. The store close a few hours before completing my transaction. But they stayed around gave me the best price they could and close the deal.

I am in the market for a new car. I asked for a test drive while looking to purchase a Hyundai Sonata N-Line, which appears to be one of the few family sedans that is powerful, inexpensive, and exciting. I was told we dont test drive that vehicle, that it was rare, and that they were willing to run the numbers.First, the car is $35k - this isnt a Ferrari. Second, if you are not going to allow for test drives in that specific model, perhaps have a similar one that you can redirect customers to so they can get a feel for interior quality and road noise - even though the N-Line would (supposedly) have different acceleration and handling, it would just be good salesmanship. Third, I realize you probably get a lot of people who are just browsing, and your time is money due to commission - but that is really the fault of the dealership model in the first place, isnt it? Failing to even gather customer intent or engage in a conversation outside of a no is not good business practices and has filled me with an unhealthy dislike for Folsom Lake Hyundai.Hope this helps you in the future.

I truly don’t know where to begin but I’ll just say that this group of guys were the least β€˜salesy’ of all the dealerships in all my years of car shopping experiences. Greg Love took care of my desires and concerns from day one, he even emailed me a video clip of the car I wanted once it hit their lot. They stayed in touch while I shopped around but were never pushy and once I decided to get the Kona they gave me an incredible deal that was unmatched by any other offers. They really do make you feel like you’re in good hands, they value your business, and want to take care of their customers. Hands down, great crew.

I did not have a good experience with the sale of my sons car. From being degraded by the sales manager. To how the service team communicated with me during the 5 months the car was in service. Yes total of 3 months the first time and 7 weeks the second. They had every excuse too, covid, short staffed etc. Look I am a small business owner, if I used all the excuses they did I would be living on the streets with no clients!. They sold a car to me that they did not fully inspect, and should have been wholesaled. Now I am paying the price, since they are out of money on a sale. At no point on a warranty repair should I pay for a loaner car or anything else but a diagnostic. I wrote to the Owner of the dealership, he could give to rats too. Just like his empoyees, clearly why this business is a complete JOKE. Spare yourself from the pain, and the simple fact they lie, cheat and make you pay for their mistakes!

We had our first service at Folsom and they are 1000% better than Roseville. I was talked to with courtesy and respect. I didnt have things broken in my vehicle or food left in it when returned. Staff was super nice and talked with a normal volumed voice. I wasnt yelled at! The chairs in the waiting do need some updating in looks but they were comfy. At least it had a waiting room when Roseville has a chair. So glad we decided to leave Roseville and come to Folsom.

I was excited about purchasing my new Hyundai Santa Fe. A month after I purchased my brand new car it completely broke down on busy intersection. I previously called requesting service after the EPS light came on and kept losing all dashboard and console screens and was told I had to wait at least 2 weeks to have someone look at it. This is not acceptable. Then I was told after it was towed to dealership they only have repair people Mon thru Friday and no rental cars to give me. Thank goodness I called.my sales rep Jamal and told him whats going on and he was able to get the rental for.me!! Thank you Jamal!! Always very happy with the service advisors, although they dont seem to stick around for long, which is unfortunate. Ive been happy overall with the majority of the service Ive received at Hyundai. The big area I think Hyundai service can improve is on the prices of maintenance which I feel are a bit steep. I always feel like Im being swindled out of money when I get my maintenance done. I go in for a routine lube and oil and Im presented with 3 different options, each ridiculously higher priced than the next. The only reason I go to Hyundai is to ensure any future warranty work will be covered since all my work has been completed at Hyundai. If the prices were a better value, Id give 5 stars.

My appointment was originally for an alignment for my vehicle. When I went in I spoke to an advisor about some other questions I had in regards to my vehicle. He was very patient and list everything that I had mentioned so that it may be looked at. Then he kindly offered to do a test drive so he can also see for himself what I had mentioned, which a lot of places do not do. My only downside was that it did take about 3 hours to complete my initial appointment, but I understand they had a lot of vehicles in service that day. Next time I would like to have a shorter wait time, but other than that the service itself was better than expected. My car came out driver a lot smoother after the alignment. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Ive talked to 3 different sale people that stated they would run the numbers for a lease and wouldnt even call me back. I called in to speak with the manager (Sam). He didnt ask for any of my information and ran the numbers real quick and gave me some ridiculous monthly number (the amount another dealership is quoting me to buy a larger vehicle). I have never been so insulted by a sales team in my life. This would have been my 4th Hyundai that I leased, so I guess Hyundai lost a loyal customer today. Thanks for nothing.

He did a great job of answering questions and providing information about the car I was looking at. It was very evident that he was well educated on the various vehicles and was able to point out a lot of great features during the test drive while allowing the drive itself to run smoothly. He exceeded my expectations and I am very happy that I was able to work with him for my first new car buying experience.

We went to Folsom Hyundai to look for a used car. We found one we liked and the sales manager gave us a price that he said was β€œgood for today only”. My husband and I wanted to think about it for a few hours. When we called back to buy the car they wouldn’t give it to us for the price he quoted us. What bad business practices!

Rod their Service Manager was awesome. Took the time to look the job over and got me the proper service for my car. Only negative, service dept was overbooked and car took longer to service than expected. Again Rod was a real gentleman checking in with me from time to time on the progress of my car.Thanks!
