We have been planning this night (my son and I) for years. We just had to wait for him to turn 18. I had high expectations and ATS fulfilled! Our artist Billy was amazing! He took time to make sure to explain the process with my son and answered any questions he had about his work. He went above and beyond to ensure his first tattoo was a success. Great place great service. Billy is the man, did my tattoos on short notice, changed it up on him last minute literally and handled it great and professionally and did some dope hand work on me. Traditional Japanese tattoo, I think the way they came out is dope. It did not hurt at all, the dude has sick line work, and is not heavy handed. This is the first tattoo that I get that I don’t bleed. Definitely going back to get tatted again with him. If you’re a soldier, go hit him up.

Hands down best place ALL AROUND I’ve been to in Fayetteville! Customer service here makes you feel like your right at home. These amazing individuals that work at this location are so helpful with any questions I had and gave me so much important information you don’t always get when getting tattoos or piercings. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!! Don’t fall for the “we will call you back for the wait list” BS. My friend and I wanted 3 tattoos total, 1 for her and 2 for me. We walked in around 2pm and were told we’d get a call back around 4:30-5pm to come in. They never called. I called around 5:30pm only to be told they continued to take walk-ins AFTER me, and skipped over calling me back for our seat for tattoos. The girl on the phone couldn’t explain how this process made any sense and was literally no help at all. This place lost out on good business today. Would not recommend!!

I am an active duty soldier and got work done at the fort bliss location. I was very impressed with the staff as well as the choice of professionals they offered. Very well pleased with Amber and Cassidy who made my appointment happen. They guided me in the direction that was best suitable for me to get the best result. Great energy all around. My artist of choice was Serge. Perfect artist to execute my requested piece. I will 10 times out of 10 be going back.

I set an appointment with Corey after my daughter got her first tattoo with him. He was very professional, and always made sure i was comfortable through the process. He transformed my old tattoo into something i will be proud to show off. Amazing work, he showed me what it should have looked like and I thank him so much for that. Would recommend anyone this shop. They are all an amazing bunch of people.

I have known Ryan and Nicole for a few years and you couldn’t find a more professional or hardworking couple. They have high expectations from their employees which results in very satisfied customers. In my opinion, what sets them apart from other tattoo shops is their incredible work ethic which is unprecedented. My daughter is set to have a second ear piercing and I couldn’t imagine having that done anywhere else.

My first time going there and they are awesome I got a tattoo for my birthday they were very kind the second we walked through the door. I will come back to get more done just wished I knew the artist he was sweet also

I’d give less stars if possible, they randomly throw out numbers, if they recognize a name who’s been in before, they jack the price up more and more every time, they don’t back their work, receptionists steal from the artists, which in turn causes us to be charged more, and they will randomly change your appointment date to one at a point in time you said to NOT BOOK you for in hopes of taking your “non refundable” deposit. This place is absolutely terrible and we will never recommend this place to a single other soul on this planet.

Overpaid and underwhelmed. Ive got a body covered in tattoos from shops literally all over the world. This was hands down my worst experience. I went in to get a tattoo that had a lot of meaning to me. Not only did I overpay, not only did I tip more than 20%, but the tattoo fell out and instead of a free touch up (that Ive received at every other shop Ive ever been to), they wanted to charge me more money. Well, if you had just done what was asked of you in the first place, I wouldnt need a touch up THIS badly.Its all good though. I went to another shop and had it touched up. The same tattoo you said would always fall out? Well, the artist did their job and it looks just as good today as it did the day they fixed this shops mistake. Actually, it looks better months after they did it, versus the week or so after it was initially done at this place. Even the other artist said it looked like it was done to intentionally fall out. Weird.You couldnt pay me to visit this place again.

Extremely disappointed with my experience and the level of unprofessionalism displayed. I booked an appointment for 11:30 am and arrived a few minutes prior. There I sat in the waiting room until 12:10 when finally my tattoo artist approached me believing me to be her 12 oclock appointment time instead. Someone had messed up, leaving my tattoo artist unprepared for my visit. All I was getting was a simple rose. I wanted the design of my tattoo to be what I liked because its my body, my tattoo, and my money. I showed my artist a picture and told her to try to get the design as close to that as possible. It took many redos for her to finally get a design I was okay with. This clearly frustrated her because she made many comments such as huffing when I told her I didnt like something, saying it looks the same (as the picture) when it clearly did not, and saying I have a whole other appointment after you. The actually tattooing process went well. She was very nice and the tattoo was great. The prices are ridiculous. A simple black outline of a 2 inch by 1 inch rose should not have cost me $100.

I was kinda hoping for Bri because I heard such great things but she wasn’t in so I went to the other guy who pierced which was completely ok! He did my piercing super quick and it was placed really well! The only thing I didn’t like is they didn’t tell me anything about how to take care of it or how long healing is or how long I have to wait to change out the piercing if I wanted. I also had to ask for aftercare instead of them asking me if I wanted any. Overall please be informed before getting a piercing because they won’t tell you anything about the piercing and always ask about aftercare!!

My piercers name was BRI and she did a septum piercing for me and my daughter.She was so cool and talked with us the whole time .Super friendly and all the questions that we ask she was very informative and helpful.She made sure we were all right and asked us if we need to lay down or needed water or anything really nice! It went by really fast and I would go back to her for more piercings in the future.

I scheduled to have a tattoo done at this place and when I went there the computer messed up, but instead of being rude they apologized and got me schedule the same day a couple of hours later to get my tattoo. I unfortunately do not remember the mans name but he did an amazing job and I am so happy with his work and all of the fine details that he put in my tattoo, I could not have asked for a better job. I would highly recommend to come here they have some of the best tattoo artist I have seen.

I have been going to ATS since 2017 I missed my appointment on August 8th and they took my $80 deposit bc I missed it bc of a lot going on . Only shop that takes your deposit I DO NOT RECOMMEND PUTTING A DEPOSIT . Unprofessional they didn’t ever tell me if I miss a appointment they will take my deposit . I will never step foot in there again. And they have tattooed and pierced me for yrs .

Honestly I understand that everyone has a bad day but I felt slight let down at my service . The piercer did not disinfect the area before piercing as well as did not clean the blood after a piercing. I don’t think I’ll be returning . The lady seemed nice I just won’t be choosing to visit this location again

I got my helix pierced for the second time. First time with the mall which was a bad idea second time was a way better experience. Healed pretty quickly and was taught how to take care of it right this time. Will be going back for jewelry and piercings in the future.

My wife and I got our tattoos here by Kenny and Justin. Really amazing people, good practices, very well mannered and a clean workplace. The art work was definitely above and beyond what we planned for. Definitely going back for another one or more.

I honestly wouldn’t even rate this Tattoo shop a 1 star because of my past experience here .The first time I came in i was not satisfied with my tattoo, it was honestly a good tattoo until the “artist” did some free hand work with the machine and made me regret the beauty of the tat. I came back a few months later for a cover up & quite honestly I am embarrassed to even show a picture of it . I just hope you guys be aware of what you’re getting yourself into & don’t be afraid to criticize the artist . My tattoo is so bad that I’m considering another cover up or a laser removal .

I’ve been tattooed here I think 7-8 times with prices ranging from 150$-4-500$ so I’d say I have fairly decent ground to review this establishment. Everyone there is very professional and knows tattooing. They have worked with me to make sure the designs come out clean and the way I’d like them. I have no complaints and will continue to be tattooed here consistently.

I went to ATS to get my eyebrows microbladed and shaded previously with Megan. Shes professional and a perfectionist. So many people compliment my eyebrows. Today I went to get my nose pierced by Nicole and she made you feel very comfortable. She was great and explained everything she was doing before she did it. I am very happy with my eyebrows and my piercing.

Have been wanting to get my 2nd holes redone in my ears forever...got them done at Claires when I was a kid & had some scar tissue. Lyn did an amazing job re-piercing my 2nd holes. Actually, she corrected them...they were uneven & 1 side was super low. It was quick & easy; shes friendly & down to earth, so if youre nervous about getting a piercing, Id definitely recommend her!

Took my daughter here tonight to get her Septum pierced.

This shop is clean and the staff is friendly but the star here is George Weibe, he is a very talented and versatile artist with an awesome personality. George worked with me to design a tattoo that would cover up a 37 year old tattoo. The black and grey design from my elbow down is the cover up. Then George re-colored another 37 year old traditional tattoo. I cant recommend George high enough. Read the many reviews on here and you will see his name mentioned over and over. If your considering a tattoo, call and make an appointment with George, you wont be disappointed.

I had a 5 star experience with American Tattoo Society and James Vaughn! I was in the Army stationed all over the world and have been in probably 15 different tattoo studios over the years. I had negative experiences at each and every one of them which caused me NOT to get a tattoo. At age 50, I decided to get my first and only tattoo. I decided on a full sleeve, Japanese style and knew that James Vaughn is at the top of his game. I didnt know anything about American Tattoo Society when I contacted them in October 2020 but I knew that James had just relocated to work there and manage the Fayetteville location. Every encounter I had with any and every staff member and James Vaughn was professional, courteous and friendly. They explained everything and took precautions for cleanliness and hygiene that went beyond minimum standards. I highly recommend American Tattoo Society and James Vaughn! If I could give you guys 10 stars I would!

Got my bridge pierced here and it was pierced crooked, many times. It was very cleanly and the staff was nice.. but if you’re a piercer this is something that shouldn’t have been an issue .. multiple times.I don’t recommend coming here for this particular piercing if I’m being quite honest .. I had to take it out because it wouldn’t really heal and it was superrrrrr crooked.

I was pierced by Lyn & the whole process was excellent . She was personable & answered all my questions. The appointment was quick but not rushed & Lyn made the experience great. I highly recommend seeing her.

First time going there today and I had such a good experience. They looked pretty busy when my friend and I first walked in, but we were immediately greeted and asked about what we wanted, where we wanted it, and they found a way to fit us in with Billy almost right away. We went in for walk-in, flash tattoos and they came out amazing!! We even got goodie bags when we were checking out, and they let my friend sit with me and vice versa which was nice.

Went in to see what the place was all about and discuss a possible project with Billy Bowermaster. He was friendly and engaging. Super helpful and patient with all my questions and concerns. Will definitely go here and use him when I get over my initial fear. Thank Billy!

I walked in last night to get a tattoo done. I had a few I wanted done but it was super late so I settled for a simple one. My tattoo artist was David. Soft spoken polite gentleman that believes in treat others how you want to be treated. When I showed him the art I wanted on my leg, he was ecstatic especially when I asked him to throw his own design into it as well. Needless to say David did an amazing job, ten times better than what the picture looked like! And played great music and kept up good conversation. Also the other staff checked up on not only David but me as well to see if I needed a drink.Im coming back to get more ink done here. Definitely recommend.

The only issue that I have is that I called to set up getting an appointment for a tattoo, called them and got told to send over a DM of what I want the placement and all details and the image that I want as its my daughters footprint. I did all of that and got a response. Next day sent a follow up about booking it and was fine with what they told. Asked follow up question about the deposit and all and got no response. I dont like how I had to follow up the next day to set it up and also wish I could of done it all on the phone to book it and have a date and time.

They have some of the most talented and professional artists in the city working there.Ive been to a number of different studios throughout Fayetteville and ATS is right up there at the top with the best of them if your looking to get ink and/or piercing(s).I highly recommend them and truly believe that their success and high rating is well deserved and shows through the quality of work produced by the artists.Looking forward to my next appointment with Marcus and also will be referring family, friends and colleagues to the studio in the future.

I received my FIRST tattoo here. And I have to admit my experience was below average. I should have been wary from the phone call to book my appointment. They must be training some kid at the front desk which is the reason everything went wrong. He booked me with an artist who isnt comfortable doing fine line work. The artist had told me he was getting anxiety and the front desk knows not to book him detailed work. Again this is my FIRST tattoo. The experience was going down hill. My tattoo came out fine; its very simple so the few imperfections are pretty obvious. I came in with high hopes that this was the best place in Fayetteville for a tattoo, but evidently its not. They should hire front desk people with tattoo experience, its where the tattoo experience BEGINS. Very disappointed. I would not recommend this place.

Im familiar with American Tattoo Society because of their presence in the community as well as the awesome convention they put on every year that hosts the Nations cream of the crop tattoo artists. This year, I attended myself and got an amazing tattoo.So when my four year old decided recently she wanted her ears pierced, I knew ATS was the place to go. The facility was immaculate and very clean.The staff was AMAZING from the minute we walked in. They completely embraced my daughter and made her feel comfortable. They cheered her on, gave her snacks and fake tattoos. After the first ear was done, she was scared to get the second one done. The staff brought her a teddy bear to hold and Ryan swooped in to hold her hand while Lyn finished up piercing her second ear.This was a perfect place and a great experience for both momma and daughter. Thank you American Tattoo Society for a great day and making my daughter feel special.

Not a single bad thing to say about this place. Customer service is more than amazing. Kenny gave me two tattoos and Im lined up to get another one! The piercer, Bri is incredible as well. Bro and Kenny both made me feel very comfortable for my first ear piercing and first tattoo respectively. Super sanitary, they do most of it in front of you. The people who work the front desk are always super helpful and kind without being overbearing. Ive been to a few different places for both tattoos and piercings and this is hands down the best place Ive stepped foot in and I am more than happy to give them my money.

Bri pierced my belly button, and i had to have it removed by another piercer less than a week later because not only was it crooked and the jewelry too short to accommodate swelling, but it wasnt even pierced through my navel. It was literally pierced above my belly button and the jewelry exited where the piercing should have started. Dont come here for piercings and especially dont let Bri put anything in your body. This is the worst piercing experience I have ever had and i have over 10.
