I have been there a couple of times and I really like their food. What I DO NOT LIKE is how overpriced their food is. I would think a couple of times before going back. Reasonable prices would be an incentive to go back. 5 stars to their food, but 2 stars to their prices.

Hey, I am mexican salvadorean but very open to new flavors and new experiences. I LOVED their Venezuelan food. The cachapas and patacones are superb. They sell the everything you need to make cachapas at home. I took some home and made them for my family and they loved it. I also took a pabellon for my children to have for dinner and it cant fail, simple rice, beans, fried plantain and the meat dish of your choice. You want to try something different try this Venezuelan street food.

This place is not only cozy in a rustic way, their owners really make you feel valued and very well served. Its a great environment, the food (Venezuelan) is super well made. You get the good service, the nice treatment, complete portions full of flavor... I wish I could come here more often but I live in DC. Butt... Bug surprise, finally around October - November they will be in DC 14th st with L st I believe.... For me thats very good news..

My wife (Brasilera) and I (Colombiano) ate here in late 2019. I had the shredded beef arepa and she had the queso fresco arepa. We really liked it. Warning they can be greasy so if worried about pimples...and do grab some napkins to dab. We dined in but only seats a few so may want to just grab take-out. We have not had a chance to eat from Arepazone but have heard good things.

All the food is delicious, typical food from Venezuela. For large orders you have to pre-order. A little difficult to find but it was worth it!

Very bad empanadas super grease. Not expended your money there. Current price for malta is $4 this is crazy. You can expense a lot money and not good produced before this experience i buy son epitome and i fund a black part. I check the bag and was expire 4 months ago. I call and they said sorry. Not even intentionally to do something to get me back to the store.

Hole in the wall, off the beaten path, and yet absolutely amazing. Their kindness, attention to detail, and amazing food have me continuously going back. Every Saturday they have empanadas to buy. During the week you can call ahead and see if they can make you Venezuelan specialties (arepas, cachapas, empanadas, tequeños, and more!) Their store offers frozen bulk items and other speciality items from Venezuela. If you are looking for something to reminisce over as a Venezuelan or as a gift for one this is the place to go. Their sister business is Arepa Zone based out of DC (in union market, also a food truck).

A place to buy and take from food and drinks to trinkets made with Venezuelan recipes. Despite not being from that country, I liked everything I ate. The place looks clean and organized. The very warm and professional attention. I would like to give it 5 but they really do not have the conditions for parking or to be able to eat in the place. But if your thing is to buy already prepared and tasty food, visit them.

I suggest to the owners to fix the schedule that appears on Google Maps. I drove for 2 hours and arrived at 9 am and it turns out that they open is at 10. The employees were very nice and they opened the store for me at 9:30 am and I was finally able to enter.

It turns out that I had ordered some cazón empanadas since I only eat fish and the girl in charge confirms my order and I reminded him twice since they were preparing them, suddenly a couple arrives with their children and the owner of the place comes out to greet them, Then I listen to the saleswoman telling the assistant and the last 4 pie empanadas are for them understand the group that arrived after I arrived, I a little doubtful I ask the girl remember that two pie empanadas are for my since I only eat fish to which she responds: Sorry I did not listen to you -... In what I said inside of me, DID NOT HEAR ME ?! If I repeated it twice! it was evident the preferential treatment on the part of her in giving my order to the couple that arrived afterwards, so that not only was I left without breakfast but also with much frustration. With all due respect that does not reflect a good service, because I am also a client and I deserve the same respect that friends deserved: then to have a rich breakfast and have a good time it became an awkward and very bad taste. The food is delicious but the service is appalling.
