I thought it was exclusively selling German products, because I wanted to buy German bath powder, shampoo and other daily necessities. Unfortunately, it didn’t. This is a high-quality and cheap supermarket with reasonable prices. We will come back to purchase. Hope It adds more products.

I love coming here for their bakery items, but its quite small. Also, make sure you bring your own shopping bag so that you dont need to buy one of their brown bags upon checkout.

Nice store.. Great option. It has something for everyone. Super clean. Great bakery and household items. You need to know what you are looking for before you go inside. It has taste of Europe and US on some items. Kind of fun to explore.

This is another one of my new favorite supermarket stores. Ive never been to a LIDL so I wasnt sure what to expect. We came in pretty early after we dropped off our own to the vet (which was conveniently located on the other side of the strip mall). They took the old spot of what used to be Big lots! right next to Walmart on Jermantown Rd.They had a nice selection of produce and a wonderful smelling bakery! We had to try out their loaves. For $.79 we couldnt say no to a loaf! It was delicious by the way. We had sandwiches for lunch 😋.We also grabbed some of their sale items: blueberries were sweet, cabbage was only $.39 (a steal!), organic bananas were $.89 for 10 (I think). Then we browsed through their frozen items. The crab cakes were in sale for $3.99 a pack, each pack had 4 crab cakes. They were delicious and for a dollar a crab cake, we got two packs! Because why not?!?They had some delicious-looking frozen pizzas but we didnt grab any because we already have crab cakes but will definitely be back to try some of their frozen meals. They seem to be a cross between Trader Joes and Aldi- which is great because we love both stores!!! Well definitely be back. Bit sure how long theyll be doing this but just a tip: sign up and download their app and you get $5 off your $30 purchase. Check them out!

The Fairfax store is big. I have tried so many of Lidl brand products and I liked all of them. Taste wise, quality wise the products are better than Aldi and Walmart. The staff isnt very much aware of the placing of the food but still they try to help out.However, I have been a little disappointed with them since I have found so many aisles empty. They ran out of bananas, salads and so much of basic stuff right at the weekend!!There are no options for self check out and with approx 8-10 billing counters, only 2/3 working just makes a long checkout queues.

Yech. I really dislike these type of stores. I dont know where anything is and I have to have my own bags. All of that and I dont like the brands.

It is the biggest Aldi store I have visited in NoVA. Very impressed. Good selections and varieties (not as many as regular U.S. supermarket chain stores) at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Barely any vegan or organic items; one of the people who worked there would not wear a mask (he kept pulling it off his mouth and nose and just wore it on his chin).please direct all employees to wear a mask for the safety of us all.

It was my first time there. You find quality products and good promotions.

Newly opened in the Fairfax city area. Well lit. Make sure you examine your fruit baskets. We organic peaches and some were bad. We are sold on the Stack Crisps. Incredible value and taste like similarly packaged famous chips.

This was my first visit to a budget grocery store, and I was pleasantly surprised! The store was big and the aisles are very wide, making it easy to navigate. I was impressed by the bakery selection. They had a good variety, and the prices were amazing. I tried their butter croissants which were delicious and less than half the price for the same thing at Whole Foods. The produce section looked comparable to other grocery stores. Pantry items also had a decent selection. I will definitely be back.

This place is great! Not just another grocery store. They have everything I normally buy from Safeway or Costco but at half the price! And everything is fresh and high quality. Their baguettes are actual real baguettes, not fake lookalikes from Safeway or Walmart that taste like sliced bread. These guys have a unique business model that allows them to offer top quality groceries at super competitive prices. Now my neighborhood has Lidl, Walmart, Safeway, Giant, Shoppers, Trader Joes, Hmart, Ranch Market, India Bazaar, Aldi, Harris teeter, Wegmans, and Costco all within 3 miles. Fairfax is an amazing place 👍😊

Some prices are reasonably well specially their fresh baked croissants and bread are very good and made with good quality ingredients and competes with overcharged whole foods and or Wegmans to name a few

The store is neighbor to Wal-Mart, and there is another similar food store just a few blocks down the street. The food price and quality are very close among the three stores.

First visit, went out of my way because I was curious about the place.My first question to a staffer was How do you pronounce the name of the store? (Answer: Lee-dill) Second question: Are you asked that often? (Answer: Yes. But perhaps she was just being polite.)Fewer house brands than Aldi. Wide aisles. Loyalty program.

Ive had a really bad experience this morning. The price was not clear on a sticker, so I got the wrong item instead of the sale one. The cashier kept sending me to the end of the line, calling 2 different people to help though there were hardly any customers in the store at this early hour. She never processed the refund. Ive spent around 30 mins at the store waiting first for another cashier, then for a manager to get my $4.00 refund. All at the same time when this cashier (old white woman) was discussing me with some old white couple in front of me that some people are from different countries and do not know how things are here, implying that Im being rude when she was the one who was being rude and xenophobic.

Their bakery looks to be place I need to check out next time. They sell many goods at affordable price.

Hi, I like going shopping ay your market, everything clean, fresh, organized. But due to the location and inconvenience of not providing bags when checking out. You guys get less customers than Walmart, which is next door. You guys should allow your customers to get plastic bags or any types of bags when checking out without having to pay for them.

Pricey. Didnt know they allowed panhandlers in the store.

Lidl has a ton of selection. The food youre looking for will most likely be there. The prices are good but not like Aldi where you could walk out with a full weeks worth of meals for under $100. The beer and wine selection is great as is the frozen foods and fresh foods. We usually get one of their take and bake pizzas for $4.99 and it feeds our whole family. The produce is either hit or miss depending on when you go and what their selection is. All in all a pretty good, discount grocery store to visit.

The cashiers need to chill. If you see a customer by themselves with a full small cart, don’t start shoving their groceries so you can get to the next costumer ASAP. The cashier I had on Sunday May 16th at 6:30pm literally threw a package of tissues on top of the groceries I hadn’t bagged yet so he can have more room to scan the next costumers’ items. If you can’t go slower, offer help! I worked as a cashier, and that’s something standard. He made me feel like I was being kicked out of the store. It came to a point where the other costumers’ items and mine got mixed.Otherwise I’m please with the store and its selection. Lots of vegan options!

Good selection of groceries with very reasonable pricing ... better than Walmart next door. Has a nice bakery with freshly baked baguettes and other baked goods.

Great deals, good safety supplies. Ive only been here 3x, but so far I was impressed. Staff is usually very friendly and I havent hit the situations like at aldi where youre in line all day because not enough people are at the registers.

Decent products and prices but checkout wait times are horrendous. Store has eight registers and I’ve never seen more than two open at once. Expect a long wait every time. Some other Lidl stores have self-checkout and this one needs to add this ASAP. Shouldn’t have to spend minutes in line for bread.

I like the store just fine—well-stocked, clean, but the location is not good. However, the Parking lot (it shares with a Walmart) is so poorly designed that it is dangerous. That fact alone keeps me from shopping here as often as I would otherwise—it’s just not safe.

The good deals can be very good. The rest varies. The produce is often dated (such as avocados that are way too soft), and some of the specialty foods can be had elsewhere for better prices, with no charge for bags at checkout.

I went for interview looked around no people black or brown as far as I could see working. Interviewers cold and not welcoming at all and just knew I wouldnt be hired as part time. Spoke to a friend Va beach same thing no black or brown people working in stores. Ill continue shopping at stores where you see plenty of diversity like Giant, Safeway, HarrisTeeter, Wegmans, and the Mom store just to name a some stores.

ALDI on steroids. My previous comment was stupid I apologize. I spent reasonable time shopping here again and I can say that Lidl is extremely well supplied, excellent prices, clean and very well designed in its interior, friendly people. Products fresh, and abundant. This one is a keeper, the one on Lee Highway.

Good prices. What I hate is the check out process. Lidl does not put you groceries directly into the cart like Aldi. You have to bag your own groceries right there at the register. If you are not fast the next persons groceries will start coming. It is too much pressure to move fast. Subseqently I do my major food shopping at Aldi.

Wish they had self check out like some of their other stores.

Good prices clean store

I love Lidl! The prices rival Walmart but is cleaner and generally pays their employees better. The simplicity of the store layout is also much less overwhelming then some superstores.

Lidl was clean and well lit. It has a nice assortment of groceries and several aisles of Christmas gifts (mid Nov) and other non-food items. Big brand names were not well represented for the groceries but it has several non-big brands for a lot of the grocery items. Prices were good, better than the big chain stores in NoVa, and probably comparable to Aldi. Parking was plentiful. You have to buy your own bags or pick up empty boxes from the shelves as you shop. They did open another check out line when the one line went down the aisle.

This is my first time in Lidl. The marketplace is very nice and clean. My mom loves the bakery area there. Price is acceptable, especially organic foods.

Comparing with Aldis, some items are cheaper and others are more expensive! The sale items are probably the best deals!Strawberries quality is similar to Aldis. Walmart fruits and vegetables are still better than both Aldis and Lidls, except for Aldis organic produce. Aldis has the best Organic fruits and vegetables!Lidl has the best deals on any clothing items! Their prices on sports clothing are unbeatable! They offer Male and female leggings for about $10 and sports shirts for $5! We dont see those prices not even on clearance anywhere else!Customer service is way better than both Aldis, Fairfax and Walmarts! While at Aldis employees are expected to focus on speed and their performance evaluations are very much focused on that, they seem to prioritize speed over acknowledging the existence of the customer! At Lidl, employees were welcoming, patient, and accommodating!Regarding Covid spred prevention, a Lidl employee greets you at the door, wipes and disinfects carts after each use! This tall dark young man was as polite as can be and asked me not to worry after one of a glass container fell of my cart on my way out! He directed costomer to avoid the exit and to use the entrance to exit the store. He immediately grabbed cleaning tools and products and collected the broken glass and cleaned the area.

The prices are very good and the selection is good, however the parking lot is a nightmare. Do not go on Saturdays. They share the same parking lot as Walmart, and it is not organized very well, in fact it’s a bit chaotic. There’s only one entrance and exit I wouldn’t be surprised if there were numerous fender bender’s in the parking lot.

My biggest problem was with the blue eye cashier with the cherry red hair. I asked a couple of times for assistance and she was no help. She even made negative face gestures.

I like Lidl very much, but after todays experience, Ill stick to other Lidl locations in the area.1. The traffic flow in the shopping center, which is shared with a WalMart, is problematic. Not Lidls fault, but a mark against it.2. The store was under-staffed, with only two check-outs in operation. I will only go to locations that have self checkout from now on.3. The store was not very well stocked. Huge gaps in the meat department. Stock haphazardly placed on shelves. Limited selection of frozen vegetable items.As I said, I like Lidl, and Lidl products, but this particular store is on my no-go list.

Was very busy in there today which is great considering who they are next to. Great prices on fruits and flowers.

When I went in the first what experted it wasnt a good vibes. But in long run the place grew on me. Dont get me wrong people that work there is very helpful but when get you no smiles. I also dont understand all of these 1 star reviews before the store even opened. Its brand new. Had to wait in line to be allowed in so theyre taking seriously how many people are allowed at any one time. Theres a bakery which is nice, but everything is prepackaged. Good produce selection. Big meat selection as well. More brand name goods than Aldi, but store brands are similarly priced. Overall prices seemed about on par with Wegmans. Download their app to get discounts. I got $5 off my order just for having the app. Now they need to build one in Arlington so I dont have to drive so far.
