Absolutely terrible. The egg and cheese sandwich was essentially flavorless. I asked that the bagel on the sandwich be toasted - it wasn’t.On the side I ordered a French Toast bagel (not toasted) and asked for a side of brown sugar and cinnamon cream cheese. Instead, they provided me with the cream cheese directly on the bagel. This completely ruined the bagel because I personally wouldn’t enjoy a bagel with cream cheese without it being toasted, which I planned on doing myself at a later time. They completely disregarded my request to put the cream cheese on the side, and I know this because in order for them to have provided me with the correct flavor of cream cheese they had to read my comment.And then to top everything off… I ordered a cold drink which they haphazardly tossed right on top of the warm food.You’d be happier ordering from somewhere else like Manhattan Bagels or Einstein’s!

Passed this place all the time. Never went in until this weekend. I was surprised to see the masked required sign. Regardless I put it on and went in. The decor was a bit dated. When I got up to the order counter I saw that they didnt have a lot of bagel choices. I choose a plain bagel with egg cheese and sausage and a sesame seed bagel with salmon cream cheese. I went to the register to pay. The young lady working it was pleasant and no real issue. She did forget to give me m!!y cup for my drink. As she left the register to work on incoming customers orders. The gentleman who worked my order brought to me easily. I mentioned the not getting my cup for a soda and he gave me that with a lid and straw. Well the lid was the wrong size. So I !put in the trash along with the straw. The bagels themselves were not that great. The cream cheese was generous Ill say that. But it wasnt all that great. the bagel place near where I live has faster service and plenty of bagels. Never a l I g wait. Illfilethus

Horrible service!I walked in to an empty store. Two kids at the counter talking to each other, told me they will be right with me. I waited and finally one kid asked if I had a mask, I told him I have one in the car, he said “go get it”. I lost my appetite and left. I would not recommend this place to anyone or will I go back.

Great place for bagels with friendly and fast service. The best bagels in NOVA fresh and great tasting. The everything bagel, plain bagel and Blueberry bagel were all great! I was in the areas ended up going two days in a row so good. Must try! Hope to visit again soon to try their bagel sandwiches.

My husband just picked up bagels for us this morning. The other customers and the staff were all super friendly. The everything bagels have the perfect amount of salt. I mean truly perfect. I automatically commented on it when I tried my bagel and my husband said another customer had been talking about the perfect salt ratio on the everything bagel while waiting in line 😂. Cant wait to go back soon!

Food is 10/10 I got the smoked salmon plain bagel and it was excellent, I would definitely recommend trying this place. But if u do order before hand so u don’t have to wait because they seem to always be very busy and take a long time to get orders ready. Parking is good and the staff is very friendly.

Stopped by Saturday morning for a quick order-a cup of coffee with cream and sugar and a toasted sesame bagel with plain cream cheese. The menu is placed outside on a large chalkboard. They are following the CDC guidelines very well. One cannot enter the store, orders are taken outside (unless pre-ordered) and brought out. Contactless payment wasn’t available (or if it was, no signage was visible). The service was friendly. The bagel and coffee were good. I’m giving 4 stars for a couple of reasons. My order was simple yet it took a while; as a result, my toasted bagel was cold. Additionally, it would have been nice if they would have put the cream and sugar in but I can live without that. The irritation was that they didn’t provide a stirrer. So if you want to drink the coffee on your drive, it’s not really a great experience.

I have found my place that still serves breakfast after 10 am. I never cared for bagel sandwiches until I tried my first egg cheese and bacon bagel. So good! Proportions are perfect and food is made fresh to order. Right now I am hooked on their ham, egg and cheese bagel.. Staff is extremely friendly and the main lady working there remembered me and my order even though I had only been there twice before, which is impressive! So glad I found this place!

These are the best bagels in the entire area, but service is still incredibly disrupted due to Covid. Average wait time from arriving to leaving with order has been 30+ minutes (often 15 before you can even order). Today was 45 minutes without a large crowd. I’ve almost given up, hope they can figure it out!

Its just ok. Got an egg bacon and cheese sandwich, came with a paper thin layer of microwaved bacon that you could barely taste with all the egg.

Service is pretty slow, and they were out of most of their bagels. I got there at 10:30am on a Sunday, and it took about 30 min to actually get my food after I ordered. They were out of so many bagels (including plain) that I had to change my bagel order twice, and many other people waiting also had to get a substitution. The food was just okay, nothing special.They also are not letting people inside due to Covid restrictions, which is a good idea, but not really pleasant when you have to wait 30 minutes in the winter. I recommend calling ahead if you plan to go here.

Got the Supreme (its their everything) bagel with Veggie Cream Cheese. So good! Great topping coverage on the bagel, properly crunchy and salty with no bare spots and it stuck to the bagel while eating. The Veggie Cream Cheese had actual veggies in it and was a perfect pairing to the bagel. Bonus, I got the Vanilla Chai Latte and its like drinking cinnamon toast crunch milk

We love to support small, locally owned businesses. We come here often (1-2times a month) for breakfast after church. I love the train table! It allows my husband and I to be able to chat for a few minutes while the kids play. The bagels are great! The reason for the 3 stars and not 5 after all those positives:1: the coffee is TERRIBLE! And half of the time they are our and the staff doesn’t realize it until we tell them. Then we wait for fresh to be brewed. It doesn’t matter how recently it was brewed or who brews it, it’s always terrible. :(2: the tables and bathrooms are never clean. We’ve been there when it shaped busy, so I gave some slack on this. But recently we’ve been when it was almost empty...and still the bathrooms and tables were dirty. :(Few minor things that could EASILY be changed to make this a 5 star review.

I asked for a western bagel without bell peppers because Im allergic. Guess what? They gave me a bagel full of bell peppers without cheese and meat. Never again.

These are the best bagels in Fairfax County. Weve been going here for years. Excellent service, feels like family when you go, and the food is delicious and well-priced. They have done a great job of pivoting during COVID. Would highly recommend this family-owned business.

That Bagel Buddies exists is one of the best features of living in the Fair Lakes neighborhood. Wonderful bagels. Along with their bagels (and sandwiches), the shop serves terrific cookies, crumb cakes, and more. The owner is on the scene almost constantly and hires a great team of local h.s. and college students. Our 9 year old kid loves to bike there on weekends. We all recommend Bagel Buddies highly.

They have really good bagels however it’s very annoying to have to wait outside. Every time you take an order. Their service is very slow. Unfortunately their prices are really high too. It was a good bagel place but I’ve become very annoyed with them. We ordered six bagels one of them with cream cheese and they rang them up individually, And that we couldn’t get the Half dozen price because one had cream cheese. I wanted to sit and raisin bagel, and they were out of them the lady told me they gave them away to the Uber order. I would’ve thought in person customers would’ve been a higher priority than people calling in, we had to wait for her to get off the phone before we could place our order.I’m sorry but to me customer service is taking care of the customer right in front of you who took the extra time to come to your store before phone calls and Uber’s. - dismayed, frustrated, disappointed.

We used to visit here pre-covid almost every weekend. During covid, we have tried to visit and call for a pick up order. Each time we call on a Sunday, it seems like bagels aren’t ready, they give an estimate time (30min or so), and we’ll show up at that 30 minutes and they’re still not ready - and it’s almost an hour that they’re ready. It’s been a little more frustrating that it has happened more often than not these days. Just unfortunate because bagels are great.

Bagel Buddies is the best place to get bagels and bagel sandwiches in Centreville! They make your bagel just like you like it. Its a wonderful, family-run small business. They will tell you if the avocados are not ready to go on sandwiches. They learn your usual. If you want a bakers dozen, call ahead and theyll have it ready for you. They have great art on the walls, too!

Bagels and cream cheese are always fresh and delicious. Lots of variety on both as well. Staff and friends and lots of parking in front of the shop.

Not the worst place but isn’t even close to the other bakery’s in fairfax. Their bagels are meh and are meh size but are still edible. My biggest problem is every time I go in and try to get bagels they are always out of whatever bagel I want and won’t make new ones for another 30 minutes. It’s like playing a guessing game every time I go in because I never know which bagels I will leave with. The workers aren’t to helpful and aren’t to familiar with the menu or what’s in stock.

I really like Bagel Buddies but my wife says everything tastes like onion so we don’t go anymore . Sad 😭

If you are expecting a New York bagel, you wont find it here. The onion bagel that I ordered was totally lacking in flavor, along with the egg & cheese on it. My taste buds were so thoroughly disappointed. Looks like I will continue to buy fresh bagels in NJ/NY and freeze them. Bye-bye Bagel Buddies.

The two bagels (Cinnamon & sugar, and blueberry) my boyfriend and I got were completely lacking in flavor. Tasted like stale plain bread. I’m from NY so maybe my bagel expectations are higher than most, but I would not recommend this place.

Very good, non-chain. NY style bagel, sandwich, lunch and breakfast restaurant. Located in Fair Lakes Shopping Center. Not open for dinner. This place had its loyal followers. There are regularly lines but move quickly. Good selection of bagels, wraps hot and cold sandwiches, soups, donuts, and non-alcoholic drinks. Food is really good and fresh. Staff friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating. Party free and plenty.

Being a displaced New Yorker, I am always delighted by a taste of home, and Bagel Buddies delivers. The bagels taste like they were made in New York and not in the back. The cream cheese is just the right consistency, and you get a nice heaping helping smeared on whatever bagel you pick. They also have traditional breakfast sandwiches, if thats your thing.

Served stale bagels, probably from previous day left overs, with no seasoning on the eggs. I have had NY style bagels and it is a shame to call this as NY style bagels

Great bagels! Employees are great, super friendly and work hard. Hot tea is the same price no matter what size you get. You only pay for the teabag. Thats a great way to run a business.

My familys favorite bagel place in town - my son loves to play with the train set there while Im enjoying the morning glory :D Plus, this is one of few family owned and operated place left in town, so we go there every chance we have :)

Love this local spot, perfect for a weekend bagel with friends or family. Typically go for the supreme bagel with bacon and scallion cream cheese and it never disappoints. They make their bagels fresh, in-house daily and wow are they amazing if you catch a fresh batch right out of the oven.

Bagels are great! Unfortunately they stopped cooking and are just about out at 11:15 am on a Sunday.... second time this has happened and very disappointed. They open till 4 but won’t make any and I wanted some to take home.

My strawberry bagel was toasted to perfectionist,, The associate told me the strawberry bagel is the month of February, the whole staff greeted me when I came into bagel buddies and took my order the way I like my bagel toasted, and excellent hot coffee, this is my favorite place. Ordered through a delivery service app only to be told an hour later that I would have to drive up there and pay with cash, even though my credit card was already charged. Contacted the app who contacted this business and it was the fault of Bagel Buddies. Now I wait 5-7 business days for a refund bagels I never received. All of this over friggin bagels.Manhattan Bagel is better anyway.

Id like to touch on Rita Xs comments. I was there the morning that you are describing in your review. I dont remember exactly what you ordered but it was something along the lines of 1 bagel with a different cream cheese on each quarter. It was very busy and I can recall you being rude because something was not correct. The only ones rolling their eyes were the folks behind you in line. I remember telling my co-workers about it when I got to work that morning because it was so ridiculous. Your review is not only incorrect, but extremely immature.I stop in to bagel buddies on my way to work almost every morning. The staff is awesome, couldnt ask for a better crew. I get the same bagel every morning and its normally ready by the time I walk in the door. If you are looking for a great bagel and awesome customer service, Bagel Buddies is the place to go.

I cant say enough about Bagel Buddies. I grew up in Queens, New York and have family out on Long Island, which in short means Im snobbish about bagels and had yet to find a place in Northern Virginia that sold actual bagels and not just bagel-shaped-bread-items.Bagel Buddies sells actual bagels and Im in love with them! Since discovering them about a month ago Ive gone 5+ times and have been impressed with everything Ive had. My favorite is a jalapeno bagel with egg, cheese, and sausage or with their vegetable cream cheese.I highly recommend Bagel Buddies!

Aweful. Bagels were dry and stale. The honey oat bagel was a plain bagel, the everything bagel hurt my jaw to chew. the long island was sloppy. $14 I would make myself a better anything. Why is this rated so high.

Been going here for 4 years. Love their bagels! Muffins are very tasty too. And they are one of the few establishments that serve birch beer.

Had been really looking forward to trying this place. Picked up a dozen bagels at 9am on Saturday morning when a bagel shop should have fresh bagels. They didnt have any asiago bagels (said they hadnt made any yet) and when I got home, my bagels werent fresh at all --- they were hard as rocks. That and their response about asiago bagels makes me wonder if they are serving day old bagels. Unacceptable. Wont ever return.

Not sure if its because we bought the last 2 everything bagels or it was a one-off but my experience here was not good. Bagels were close to stale. The eggs inside the bagels were discolored.Would have easily been a 1 star if it wasnt for the friendly staff.

As a NY bagel snob Ill say these are the best bagels Ive had outside NY, (Annapolis has a couple of ships that arent too bad either) so far. Without NY water and malt yeast culture over 50 years old or older and seasoned baking planks its tough to compete with a NY fixture but these are very close. Friends from up north are amazed. No bialys, twists or other traditional offerings but I suppose thats asking too much. The manager can be short tempered and a bit rude so the atmosphere is just right also.All in all if you desperately miss your NY bagel this place is as close to home as youll find this far south. One note: dont expect hot bagels anytime except early morning. They close by 3 most days so when they run out of a variety, theyre done for the day. Cream cheeses are OK. Deli meats are typical blah for down here. But hey, its an honestly edible bagel in Virginia. You really cant expect much more.

Bagel Buddies has the best bagels in Northern Virginia, bar none. If youre from NJ or NY and craving the real thing that Panera, Einstein and the others cant give you, the trip to Bagel Buddies will be more than worth your while.

The bagels themselves are very good. All of the food is very good and the staff are friendly and professional, but they suspend making soup in the summer months and by 2:00 PM half of the variety of bagels are no longer available.

They make excellent, New York-style bagels on the premises with numerous flavors. I buy at least a dozen bagels to take home each time I am shopping at the Fair Lakes Center, then I freeze them for later consumption.

Disappointed, this place had great reviews, but really let us down. The bagel and egg sandwiches really are just ok. I ordered a hot chocolate and half of it was foam.... Really was a waste of $3. Manhattan bagel is better, has more options and is faster than bagel buddies. Oh well...

Wow! Bagel Buddies just gave our regular bagel place a run for their money! They were supporting our band with a fund-raising event and really impressed us with their delicious bagels, tasty spreads, tasty coffee (and tea - I had a great spiced chai), and great service! Check this place out NOVA, its worth it!

We are from Long Island and this place has been our favorite by far. However, last Sunday we bought a dozen of bagels and I keep finding strands of hair in them. Being a reasonable and understanding customer, I could overlook a strand or two of a employee that could have possibly fell on the dough. But looking at another batch of tiny hair, it didnt even look like humans but more like some fur. Can you please inspect your kitchen?... We love your recipe but just cant stand the hair that we keep finding in your bagels. Gross.
